Wow Cindy, what wonderful news about Carrie! Surely something to be excited about.
This morning I gave the birds here some crumbs from cornbread that we had yesterday and the birds like that.
I won't be planting mums in the ground because of county restrictions, permit to do so and also if I did get a permit there would still be a troublemaker neighbor turn me in for having no permit and inspecter returning... to much trouble to plant trees or flowers, which is too bad because the whole area looks drab. There are fewer inspectors now because an airplane flies over the area and takes pictures at least once a year, so someone sitting at a desk can look at pictures and compare them to see if there are any changes. There is a site, little dresses for Africa, where people make little girl cotton dresses and they are sent to Africa. I am keeping that in mind and will pray about it, however, I do know of a church in Africa where I could talk to someone myself, so that could be a blessing. Wow, I've never heard of a place that you had to have a permit in order to plant whatever you wanted on your own property! That's really weird! Which state do you live in...I can't remember? Is it like that for the whole state or just for your area?L That just seems so very strange. I'm sure there must be a good reason for it, but I can't think of any. Wow Cindy, what wonderful news about Carrie! Surely something to be excited about.

Do you have to have a permit to grow a garden too? Why wouldn't the county want you to beautify your own property? Wow, I'd sure get myself into a lot of trouble, with how I like to plant stuff. But, at the same time.........that kind of restriction sure would have saved Ed and I a lot of money, because I would not have been buying the trees, shrubs and plants that we bought, over the years. Not to mention all the river rock and border trimmings. Think about how easy it would be for me to mow, if I didn't have all that to go around. So, I guess there's an upside to everything. OH well.
Yeah, Bruce hates having to go around stuff when he's mowing, so I always ask him before planting anything. He just gives me an area to plant in and I leave the rest of the yard alone lolCindy, when you see Carrie, give her a big hug from me too! Awesome news!
Thanks, will do Cheryl!Stressful day today. I just want to get a good night's sleep. Hugs to all. I'm sorry Margie. I hope you did get a really good nights sleep and are having a much better day today.
I'm going to take it easy today. I've been overdoing it for the last several weeks, working out in the garden every day when the weather was cool. But today it's going to be hot again, so I won't be able to anyway. That worked out well since my body has decided it won't cooperate with me anymore lol.

We are still using our air conditioner every day, this is late in the year for using it, all previous years we stopped using the air conditioner around September 15. I have to go shopping today. We put the new bathroom sink in. Yesterday we had to clean out the cold water line for the washing machine and when we pulled the washing machine away from the wall we saw a hole in the floor, so Ron had to repair that also. I'll go get ready for my busy day.

Good morning everyone. Had lots of reading to do to catch up on everyone here: Cindy, that is amazing news about Michelle's friend Carrie! A new sister in the Lord -- doesn't get any better than that!
Cheryl, that is odd that your azaleas and roses are blooming again, although you surely must be enjoying it. But it is strange, this time of year. The hummingbirds must be entertaining to watch too!
Cindy, those birds sound as finicky as our kitty Jellybean! I've never heard of a bird refusing a certain type of feeder, but it must be for the reasons you figured.
Anna, hope you're getting all your work done - sounds like lots of things going on around your home! We are still using our AC also.
Margie, hope you are getting your rest and that the stress subsides.
Barbara, hopefully Vanessa is all well by now. (I can sympathize with you having to smash her pills as I can't swallow pils myself, not anything bigger than a small ibuprofen tablet. Last time I needed antibiotics, I decided right from the start to make it easy on myself and just asked for liquid too. ) Maybe she got to feeling better quickly and did not have to miss too much schoolwork. Can't believe she's in 11th grade already! Does she know what she might want to study?
Kelley, hope you're having a good week, and Lulu & Ron too. Is Ruthanne still stopping by Fresh-Hope? SevenofNine? We need updates y'all!!
Now, here is a little of what's been going on down here:
After Hurricane Irma went through (and we had our 3 houseguests for 5 days during that time), things really slowed down at work.
The following weekend John had a 'pain episode' I guess you'd call it (from the Crohn's) which lasted from early Saturday into Sunday, so he ended up spending half a day in the ER. Although I'd been praying for him the entire time, nearly to the moment that people at church on Sunday morning were finding out that he was going to the hospital, they started praying -- his pain finally began to subside!
You know, I sometimes wonder how much difference it makes to tell others about a prayer need, vs. just keeping it to myself and praying, but in this case we really could see how quickly he felt better. (I'd had to stop by church on my way to the ER -- Daniel was home for the weekend and drove John to the hospital and I met them there -- so people found right away what was happening and they were all concerned and promised to pray.) John is usually very private about his health matters (I think most men are) and doesn't want me saying much about it, but by that point he was just grateful for the prayers, and we were all so thankful that the lab work and CT scan only showed some mild inflammation.
A few days after that we were scheduled for vacation so we first went to GA to see my mother and visit my 90 year old Great-Uncle YJ who was on hospice care, who went home to Heaven several days later. What a blessing to visit with him one last time! Once we got into his hospital room and YJ woke up (which took a few minutes, as he was on morphine for the pain), his mind was sharp as a tack and he was making jokes and entertaining us all. A chaplain came in while we were there, and by the time he left the room 20 minutes later he said that my uncle had blessed HIM. He set a beautiful example of finishing well.
Later, John and I went up to Kentucky to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum (sure wish we'd been near Cheryl to see her, but she lives across the state), then finished up the last couple of days in Pigeon Forge, TN.
This week has been nice here as it's finally cooled off some. (Cindy was it truly 99 there last week?!? )
Of course we've been following the news coverage all week, following the horrendous shooting in Las Vegas.
I have to go to work in a couple of hours, so need to start getting ready for the day.
John just left for work and he is not feeling the greatest today, so I'm going to ask NOW that as anyone reads this, please say a prayer for him. I mentioned here recently that he would love to find a job that does not involve so much driving (he's headed to NC today - about 4 hours round-trip), and he brought that up again last night. I'm praying God will open something local. (Actually what he'd love to do is retire, but still a few years away from that!)
Thanks, and love & prayers for you all.

I'm hoping that Bruce will be able to fix the leak in my sink this weekend.Good morning everyone. I'm so glad you reminded us about John wanting a different job. I'd prayed for that but didn't write it down in my list and eventually forgot about it, so now I've written down and won't forget anymore. I'm so glad that the Lord answered the prayers quickly and his pain was relieved last weekend. I do try to pray for that daily, but have to admit that some times I forget, as my list is really long. Sometimes I wonder why the Lord told us to pray continually, when if we are praying for the needs of everyone we know, we'd already be praying constantly.
That's wonderful news about getting to see your great uncle and how he is finishing well. I was recently studying the verse: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7) and reflecting on it and thinking about how I want to finish my race; that I want to be able to say what Paul did and show others by example what it means to finish our time hear well. We don't hear about that very often these days, so it was an encouragement to me to hear about your great uncle.
I was really sick yesterday. I don't know what was wrong, but my body just wouldn't cooperate at all with me. I slept well last night though and feel much better today so far, so hopefully whatever it was is over.
Yes, I'd love to hear from all those we haven't been hearing from lately too.

Everyone! Just a quick note. I'm waiting for company to get here. Very busy few weeks.
Lorrie, I also wish that I could have seen you, when you were in the state. But, sometimes unfortunately, it is a big state, so when a person is "in the state", it's a long ways off. You were about 4 hours from me, plus a one hour time zone difference. ~pout~ But, maybe there will be a time when we can visit. You never know. I am so sorry for the loss of your uncle. He sounded like a wonderful person to know, and really love what you said about "finishing well". That would be my bucket list, if I made one. My Lord is all that is important to me. He's the first thought in the morning, and the last thought before I sleep. And many moments in between. Please give John a gentle hug, from me, and let him know that I'm praying for him. I have a sister-in-law with Crohn's, and they actually gave her a 2 year life expectancy, when she had the surgery, to remove everything, and she lives with a colostomy bag. And 24 years later, she is still with us. She is only 2 years older than me.
Margie, I hope you were able to rest, and calm the stress you went through.
Marlene, I love reading your posts. Well.....everyone's posts, actually, but it seems you are the most active in this last long while, so when I come in, I look forward to reading the next phase in your days. I hope you got your sink fixed, and glad you found that hole, before winter sets in. I don't know if you get an actual "winter" climate, but around here, if there's a hole, there's a mouse in the house. lol But, fortunately, Ed and I didn't get but one mouse in the whole 6 years, we've been in this house. And that was because he got in around the line that runs through the floor for the gas line on the stove. Steel wool, poked around the opening, took care of that. And then when we remodeled the kitchen, 2 years ago, I bordered the entire floor/baseboard area with steel wool. Ed laughed at me, but welcomed the effort, because the one thing that Ed could not tolerate was a mouse in the house. In the other places that we've lived, he would set out the traps, but if we got a mouse, he would not go near it. I always had to be the one, who cleaned the traps, or threw out the glue board. I always laughed at him, for that. The man wasn't afraid of anything, but don't show him a mouse.
Cindy, I hope that whatever was making you so sick, has subsided now. I know better than to say 'passed now', because chronic pain doesn't go away..........it just gets bearable. I really wish people would actually understand that, but to understand it, would be to live it, and none of us wants that on anyone. So, we just deal. I still hope that you are better.
I have a funny story for y'all. The other day, I had to go out of town, so I used my old Tom Tom GPS to make sure I got where I was going, and got back without incident.....like getting lost.... And when you have one of those things, you should really update it at least once a year, because roads get built and moved, and removed, all the time. But, I haven't done that in something like 7 years. And we actually have two big bridges that have been relocated, and the old ones torn down. Lots of rivers around these parts, lol. Anyway, I was getting close to my home, and forgot that I still had my GPS turned on. It had been quiet for quite a while, because the road I was on, is a long stretch of hwy, with no exits. Well, I was nearing the Kentucky Dam Locks (the pass between the twin rivers), and a few years ago, they moved the entire road, dam and even the railroad tracks. Well, my GPS contraption didn't know that. And all of a sudden, it bursted out TURN LEFT!! I 'bout jumped out of my skin!! Then it kept repeating, real fast "in 300 yards, turn left...in 300 yards, turn left, in 300 yards turn left!" I had to shut the thing off, to get it to shut up! The thing thought I was crossing the river, with no road, and it panicked!! An electronic device panicked. Now I've seen it all. I laughed all the rest of the way home.

I got some outdoor painting done today. That reminds me, I need to buy some steel wool. We store our gasoline for the lawnmower outside in an old chicken coop. The other day Ron told me there was a rat living in the chicken coop and that the rat was cute, so later I had to get a gas can and there was the rat and it was cute and sleeping and did not wake up until I pulled the gas can out. I don't like mice and rats but for some reason that one was cute. That was funny about the GPS, I have never had or used GPS, I do like Google earth map for directions for a large city, then I make a print out for myself. I think GPS is helpful for people and usually right but I have heard others say sometimes the GPS did not do well for them.

Welcome, Edwina! We're so glad to see you again at Fresh-Hope. Please come in and post so we can catch up with you.
Beautiful day here. My hubby went to Ft. Worth to watch a football game with friends. I did some laundry and read. I know, that sounds like a boring day but I enjoyed the quiet.
On Thursday night we went to our grandson's school to hear him play in the orchestra. He plays bass. The instrument is still a little taller than he is but grandson is growing fast. My 4 grandchildren are all teenagers now.

OK....lol. I'll take your word for it. For the most part, I like the GPS for getting an idea of where you are and where you are heading, but the old fashioned way of reading road signs is still crucial. And can you imagine today's youth? They don't even know how to read a map! They don't have to, because they have smart phones, I-Pads, Tablets....etc...etc. But, it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN we get nailed with an EMP blast (Electromagnetic Pulse) ....and they would not know what on earth to do! We ALL are spoiled by electronics. But, our youth really don't know anything different. Welcome, Edwina! We're so glad to see you again at Fresh-Hope. It's fun to watch the kids play their instruments in the school orchestra. They are so talented. Congrats on your 4 teenagers!!!
Edwina! Is this Edwina from the old board? I thought you were already here, under Eddie, but either way.......welcome!!

I made the worst tasting meatloaf I have ever made, I added almost 1 can of black olives to it. I would like to throw it away, can't give it to the dogs, but I am short of money this month and we will have to eat it. Is there any other website besides photo bucket that hosts pictures and can send forward also. I think google hosts but can not send them to anyone. Another site that works like photo bucket? If you ever have trouble getting to sleep there is a you tube video that plays, the book of psalms sleep with it on, from truthlives, which is nice to listen to. When I go outdoor I still have a hummingbird come and flutter close to my face. huummm?

First pick out all the black olives you can find, and throw those things away. Then make a red sauce (or even a white sauce), and put in the meatloaf (chopped up) and heat it through. Serve it over rice or pasta, or even mashed potatoes. Bread and butter on the side, or garlic bread. Just a thought. I don't like to waste food, either.

I am helping to do car maintenance work right now and it is taking up all my time, we are troubleshooting a problem and can't figure out a fix yet, so I will be back laying on the dirt under the car tomorrow. I hope we figure out the problem, I have other things I would rather do with my time. lol I want to go to the grocery store tomorrow. I am going to have to throw out that meatloaf, I can't eat i
I did not know mum plants were edible until I looked up this info online. "I planning to grow edible chrysanthemums in my herb garden. ... All chrysanthemum flowers are edible, but the flavor varies widely from plant to plant, from sweet to tangy to bitter or peppery." Last night I left my mum plant outdoor and something ate the mum plant overnight and there is almost nothing left of the potted plant. I'm wondering if it was that cute rat that lives out there, but wow that was a lot of plant to eat in one night.

Things have been crazy here since Friday. The kids were supposed to come over on Saturday so I was getting everything ready as Jenn and I were going to go through old photos and put them in order. Then Bruce came running in from the yard where he'd been working on his Harley, yelling, "Bad cut!" and dripping blood all over everything. I shoved his hand in the sink and started running cold water on it and handed him a clean washcloth to wrap it in while under the water while I got all our first aid stuff. Thankfully the water did the trick and cleaned the wound which was very deep. I put some gauze pads on it and wrapped it in gauze to hold it together and we took off for the ER so he could get stitches. I called Jenn who was on her way by then and she met us at the ER. Then she came to my house and cleaned up much of the blood, bless her heart. He finally got his stitches after they did an xray to be sure there were no metal filings in the cut, but the water got them all out thankfully. He was bummed though because his tetanus shot had run out just 10 days earlier so he had to get another one. Then we finally got to go home. We spent a little time on the pictures and then had Gracie's favorite dinner, spaghetti.
Sunday I got caught up on everything I didn't do on Saturday and found out I'd be babysitting the kids all day on Monday as both Bob and Jenn had to work. So Jenn dropped the kids off at 9am yesterday and they were here till 4pm. They had a good time though, even though it was pouring outside all day. Bruce stayed home from work (he took a vacation day) as his arm and hand were pretty sore. But he's at work today. I'm just plain tired out from it all!
Oh, I posted something you all might like: fresh-hope.com/thread/3771/philippians-3-rapture

Thanks Cheryl. Thankfully I do seem to be finally feeling better. We did have something really weird happen though... On Monday, really early, like about 1am, I woke up feeling like something had stung me just above my ankle on the back of my leg. But there wasn't anything there. I got up to go to the bathroom and it happened again in there, and still nothing was there. I went back to bed, but had a hard time sleeping because that continued to happen every 5 to 10 minutes. I thought I'd go nuts, especially since I had to get up and watch the kids that morning! It finally stopped just before the kids got here. What's even weirder though is that the very same thing happened to Bruce only it happened to him about 12 hours before it happened to me! He told me about it when I told him why I hadn't slept that night. Neither of us has any idea what caused it though.
That's so funny what happened with your GPS Cheryl! I've heard everything now!
That's what we do too Marlene....just look it up and if needed print the map out. I don't mind mice or rats as long as they're outside, but never in my house!Welcome, Edwina! I looked and looked but haven't seen a post from Edwina...did she just join or something? It would be great to hear from here wouldn't it?
All our grandkids are growing up way to fast! It's neat that so many of them are involved in music. Elijah is in band and the select choir as most of my other grandkids have been in too. He seems to really enjoy it which is nice. But he also loves photography which he's also taking a class in. I recently helped him as he had to write his first essay for that class lol.
When I go outdoor I still have a hummingbird come and flutter close to my face. huummm? Yes there are other sites like photobucket. I'm using Amazon Prime as it only costs $10.99 a month and we have it already for our TV. But I'll try and post the other sites for you tomorrow, God willing. I'll start a new thread for it and will post a link to it here for you.
That's too bad your plant got eaten up like that. Some of our critters have eaten one of my Hostas, but thankfully it was one that was way in the back and hard to see lol Every one! Had to read a bunch to catch up! Last Saturday Ron and I with another Gideon,Bob, served at a town fair in the city of Bell, its mostly Hispanic. We gave out almost 2,000 bibles in Spanish alone, and another 1000 in English! We had a great day. long, from 11 am to 7:30 pm....but wicked fun! That's fantastic Lulu! I'd love to do something like that! Bruce likes the Christian Motorcyclists Association and I'd do that as well if I could. They do a lot for the bikers around here.

Hi Cindy, sorry to read that Bruce cut his hand and needed stitches. I know when I got a tetanus shot I could not move my arm very well for a day. May he heal fast. I had a neighbor that used to heal unusually fast from any cut or injury, he is the one that died suddenly. That was nice of your daughter to go to your home and clean where bruce bled on the floor. I hope you have a normal enjoyable weekend this coming weekend. Lulu, you and your husband are a blessing to your community. Wow those fires in CA, 8 counties.

I was listening to a woman doctor talk about magnesium and the need for it in the body. I take magnesium now to prevent leg cramps before they would happen. Taking a bath in Ebson Salt will help with or prevent restless leg syndrome because magnesium is absorbed into the body through the skin. Ebson Salt is cheap to buy. There is a magnesium spray that I would like to buy next month that can be sprayed on an area of the body that gets cramps and the magnesium is absorbed through the skin to stop cramping. Migraine headaches can be caused by a lack of magnesium. She also said that if green plants are getting yellow spots on them to give them some Ebson Saltwater mix.

I've had RLS for decades and have been using soap for ages now. It's cheap, and after about 6 months when you have to replace it with a fresh bar, you can use the old bar to wash up with, so nothing is wasted. It works for both muscle cramps and muscle spasms and works 100% better then any medication or supplement I've ever been on and obviously has no side effects. I don't know what I'd do without my soap. I even carry a bar around in my pocket book in case I get muscle spasms when I'm away from home.

Cindy, I was wondering something and want your opinion, though I am uncomfortable imposing such a question as I have. I was wondering if you think it is possible for a Christian to be healed from a New Ager that uses white light energy electrical currents? There are classes that people take to be able to do such a thing. I wonder, decades ago there seemed to have been Christian faith healer, and the dark side must have faith healers also then, but could they or would they heal a Christian? Just something I am wondering about, I am not looking for a healing.

First, let me share with you the site of a woman who was involved with the new age stuff just like I was. Once she was saved, she determined to warn Christians about how the new age is creeping into the church and into every part of society today, especially the medical community. Here is a link to her site:
www.christiananswersforthenewage.org/
I'm sure you've heard of the placebo effect, which is most likely why some people think they're healed from this particular thing, because there is no way that it can really heal someone. But, if the person really believes that they'll be healed from it, they do sometimes seem to be, although it often doesn't last. There are currently many so called Christians who use Satanic means to "heal" people, but most of them are fakes and have their own people set up to make it look like they've healed someone. (and they're very, very good at it too)
If you're asking if God would allow a true Christian to be healed by something like that, it's hard to say since I don't believe anyone is "really and truly" healed by it in the first place. Like I said, at most I think it's a placebo effect and that eventually they'll be sick again. As far as God goes though, He does allow us to have our own way when we insist and refuse to obey Him and turn away from things like this that go against His Word. Sadly many Christians aren't aware of how dangerous things like this are and that they are against God's Word. The new age purposely uses terms that make things sound like they're ok for Christians. They are very good at misleading and lying about what they do. On our old board I had a very long thread about so called alternative healing and how each way was against God's Word. You can find many good articles about things like this on the site I gave you the link to though.

Thanks Cindy for that website that was an interesting read. I am glad we have the internet nowadays where we can be better educated about what is going on around us with the people we encounter like doctors, nurses etc.

Wow! It took me awhile to catch up! The grandkids finally got over their flu or whatever, but then Leonard and I seemed to spend a week or two fighting it....Leonard was waaay worse than I, but still, I had some days of being very tired, sneezing, coughing etc.
Maybe, I am on the mend....
I am still wondering about where in the world you live Anna, that the county would say you could not plant flowers in your own garden???!!!
And the thing about the praying mantis...that was weird...were you thinking it might like to take a bite out of you?
And Cheryl your GPS...I am not so sure it was thinking of you....I think, it was thinking of itself....after all it's 'electronic'....it probably thought....you are a human you can swim but 'ME'....I be ruined LOL
And how scary about Bruce and his deep cut YIKES!!!
I am sure the rat was cute...especially sleeping LOL
Cindy I think we also have a bunch of 'spoiled' birds
We are now feeding about anywhere from 3-7 cats ( none are 'ours'....) every day
A pretty Siamese/Persian and tri-colored 2 yellow one ( tho they have not been around lately) one cat is owned by one of the tenants here but Smokey is very taken with me ( or is it my food I feed the other cats HA!!)
And then there are the raccoons...a mom had babies and they are really cute! They stop and listen to what ever I tell them.

Oh, Barbra, you are able to be close enough to racoons to talk to them. I think there are racoons around here in AZ but I have never seen one. I think they like to go around chicken coops. That reminds me, I float tested eggs from the local eggs seller and just like another local seller, I found a floating egg, 1 out of the seven I tested floated. So if ya get farmers market eggs it is good to float test the eggs, the eggs might just be old eggs from some store but put in a different egg carton, same goes for things like relish, store-bought and put in a cute jar with a higher price to pay. I now buy my eggs from the Mennonites, I trust them more than the other people. To many cosmic rays on the increase... If anyone ever wants to steal Cheryl's GPS, they can just get lost. Stick insects, eewww creepy, like something Martians dropped out of their spaceship to land on earth.

Yes Anna: I know a lot of people are a little leary of racoons, but really mine come closer than a foot to me, to listen to me talk to them....my daughter calls me the animal whisper. But they are really curious, and sometimes I scold them like kids....if they decide to try to raid the garbage. I tell them know, and they do leave it ( at least for a couple of weeks).
A raccoon 'could' be dangerous, they can down a dog in water, but all my life, I have had cats and raccoons sitting side by side, waiting for food. I almost think the raccoons think of cats a little like baby raccoons. I have had cats get annoyed, with the raccoon ( even a mom with her babies, which would be the most dangerous time)
and the cats have hauled off and slapped the mother raccoon, and the raccoons never did anything in retaliation...I don't know why?
Well this was a strange day for us....it started off kind of normal, our landlord did a walk thru of all the tenants ( too see what repairs needed to be done...so no big deal).
But our daughter's fiancee was going to take back his dad car ( his car was in the shop and they borrowed it to go to Seattle).... But his brother asked him to help him move....all things normal so far.......
then, they got in an accident ( not their fault and thankfully the lady has insurance) but his brother's car is totaled. and the air bags etc. did their thing but hit Brian in his ear badly....he being a BIG guy of course ( well not really, I would have made him be looked at) did nothing about it.
Oh and then he tells us his half sister got married yesterday but either her father in law or some close relative committed suicide.....they did not tell her yesterday, so as not to ruin her wedding day.
But then....when my daughter and her kids first moved her, and Vanessa was still in grade school, she became good friends with a girl her age ( for a few years they were like sisters.....they lived right next door to each other.
First thing we hear is Cheyenne and her older brother had an bad accident on one of those bike things ( I forget what they are called....4 wheels and they go on grass, sand and stuff).
Then we hear both kids were taken to hospital but to 2 different ones...her brother in an ambulance, but Cheyenne in a helicopter ( with head and back injuries).
I immediately prayed....but I just felt I needed to ask Jesus to turn her last hours into years and talk to her about Himself and save her).
I could only ask....and sure enough, I had JUST stopped praying when our daughter came to our door, to tell us Cheyenne had died and could I come over and comfort Vanessa.
So sad, she was 16.
I imagine someone might wonder why I just assumed Cheyenne was going to die.....and did not have hope for her. perhaps knowing she was life flighted, and instead of 'just' ( that is terrible in itself) like her brother, but had head injuries.....and I did leave room for hope, but it was just on my heart to pray for her if she was dying. We knew Cheyenne really well also. Our granddaughter took it very very hard, but I spent time talking with her.
Cheryl: I think you mention about an EMP? Just yesterday this was in the news......that if ( or even when) it happens 90% of Americans would die in a year also yesterday the same dire prediction about Yellowstone Maybe that's why we are not exactly mentioned in the Bible?

In yesterdays Bible study with Michael, he said that before Yellowstone volcano would erupt that the volcano in Italy would erupt. He said already in Italy there is, I can't remember if he said steam or smoke coming up from the ground that farmers are seeing and also at the airport, but that info does get on the news. He also said that underground nuke tests like NK say they are doing, is displacing magma. This increase in cosmic rays radiation on the earth is causing an increase in cancer, it goes through the skin to the DNA of the body, causing mutated cells. That is like what would happen if there is ever a nuke attack. We sure are pilgrims in a foreign world, with our hope in the Lord, it seems end times are here now and we are here watching the events happen. I don't like those four-wheel scooters, so many people near me have them and use them, that is too bad about the accident you mentioned. I had to laugh when you said a lot of people are leary of racoons because it reminded me of a video I once saw a woman talking about how she had quite a fight with a racoon at her chicken coop. That racoon did a number on her and she had to go get her shotgun. Sounds like you have some cute friendly racoons there where you live, just talk nice and don't get one angry. lol

Anna: I was out talking to a neighbor and we heard racoons fighting. There was a baby running toward the road but I clapped my hands and said: No fighting!!!!! We do NOT fight!! as I walked towards my yard were two adults were having a spat.....racoons fighting sound very very scary but now I am used to the sound.
So the baby trotted along behind me ( it knew I was the boss LOL) Then it scampered up a short roof over the garbage when it brother or sister came up and they cuddled together.
The adults took off because they knew I didn't allow that kind of behavior....
I don't want people to start poisoning them or something...
But the little ones were so cute trying to comfort each other

Barbra, It has been a blessing for you to be near the racoons, but for the racoons safety, I will pray that the Lord leads them to go out into a wooded area away from people's homes. I have a busy morning today, ttyal.

Anna: The thing is, they prefer people food and with garbage cans everywhere it's unlikely they will be moving any time soon.
Also because all sorts of people ( me included) feed the birds and stray cats...there are always bits of food that the birds didn't get so that's another source of food. Plus, they may get more shelter under peoples home, than out in the woods?
Speaking of which there is the cutest baby black kitten that comes around.... I am pretty sure he has a home somewhere across the street. But he loves my garden, he hops and cavorts about in it, and sniff all the different plants. He is very friendly....about 5 mts now.
In our small complex 3 of the tenants have cats ( Our daughter Hossanah has 2 black females). One of the other tenants has a small dog, and one of the guys wants to get a cat.

After today I'm going to be gone for about a week as I have a ton to do and I know I won't be able to get it all done and come here too. We have doctors appointments as usual, and are also having to plan another funeral, which will take up some time. And then there's all my regular chores I have to do plus hopefully finish taking care of the garden. But I'll be back once I get all done and caught up! Just wanted to let you all know ahead of time so you wouldn't worry. Thanks Cindy for that website that was an interesting read. I am glad we have the internet nowadays where we can be better educated about what is going on around us with the people we encounter like doctors, nurses etc. You're welcome. Yes, it's nice we can easily get that information, but sadly there's even more false teaching on line that people get into easily. It breaks my heart....Wow! It took me awhile to catch up! The grandkids finally got over their flu or whatever, but then Leonard and I seemed to spend a week or two fighting it....Leonard was waaay worse than I, but still, I had some days of being very tired, sneezing, coughing etc.

Stick insects, eewww creepy, like something Martians dropped out of their spaceship to land on earth. Yes, raccoons can be dangerous, but we enjoy ours. In fact, back when my kids were young, our house was on 22 acres of land so we let the cats outside whenever they wanted. One evening, one of the cats was at the door waiting to come in, so I let her in. She went straight to her food dish and started eating. It was several minutes before we all realized it wasn't our cat, it was a raccoon! Reminds me of a commercial they have on TV like that, but it really happened LOL. We let her finish eating, and then politely asked her to leave, which she was eager to do by then as she wasn't used to a bunch of kids staring at her LOL.

That racoon did a number on her and she had to go get her shotgun. Sounds like you have some cute friendly racoons there where you live, just talk nice and don't get one angry. lol
Yeah, some can be really nasty, but we've been lucky with ours so far.Anna: I was out talking to a neighbor and we heard racoons fighting.
But the little ones were so cute trying to comfort each other That's how I am with all our critters, and birds. People often don't believe it till they see for themselves that they all eat together quite contentedly, and that if a new one comes and tries to start a fight, they listen to me and stop right away. Sometimes I think our critters have spread the news that anyone who wants to come and eat here can, but if they do, they have to get along with all the other species lol.Barbra, It has been a blessing for you to be near the racoons, but for the racoons safety, I will pray that the Lord leads them to go out into a wooded area away from people's homes. I have a busy morning today, ttyal. Our raccoon only comes over every once in a while. The bear has only been here twice, and he's the only one I'd just as soon stayed away, mainly because he eats too much and I can't afford it lol. Then there's the fox which comes once in a while and the fisher cat. The turkeys come several times a year as do the deer, But we always have the squirrels, and chipmunks, and all kinds of birds, from little ones to the large Ravens and Crows. And of course other people's cats and dogs as well as feral ones. We've seen other kinds of animals here, but I can't remember all of them. I love watching them and talking to them though.Anna: The thing is, they prefer people food and with garbage cans everywhere it's unlikely they will be moving any time soon.
Looks like we're both nature lovers lol.
I hope everyone has a great day today and the rest of the week. God willing, I'll be back with you next week!
