Anna: I had meant to comment on what you wrote you were:
"concerned that I think I am feeling the effects of the Fukushima radiation that has contaminated the the Pacific ocean and it is getting worse."
I was wondering what effects you were feeling? I live 2 blocks away from the ocean in Northern Oregon...do you live in Ca or Or or Wash.?
So Leonard needed a 2nd round of a different anti-biotic.
However, it seems the first one may have raised his potassium levels too high, so they keep him in the hospital for 1/2 day ( they were going to keep him over night but let him go).
But also there is a cretin problem so he has to go back to doc. this week.
All this means he will prob have to postpone the 2nd colonoscopy he was going to have done next week, because he is supposed to take these new antibiotics 4 times a day....so that prob would not work while having to take all that yucky prep drink etc.
He really needs to clear up this infection I think.
Cheryl thank you for your faithful updates on Ruthanne!!

Barbra you are reading my mind. You wrote "concerned that I think I am feeling the effects of the Fukushima radiation that has contaminated the the Pacific ocean and it is getting worse." I did not ask you yet but I was thinking about you, and thinking of asking you about the effects that Fukushima radiation might be having on you since I am thinking that you do not live far from the ocean. I hesitated to ask you because it is not something most people have read about. I live near the AZ/NM border. I have been listening to news, not mainstream news, about the radiation and it is getting worse. Not only Fukushima but I am listening to news, not mainstream news, about the radiation increase that is coming from the sun due to larger coronal holes in the sun and other problems. I listen to a Christian man's you tube, bpearthwatch, which he is a member of a Christian on-line group, which I on-line chat, which also listen to what he has to say. There are also other good sites talking about Fukushina radiation and what is going on in space. I think prayer is the only thing that keeps the Christian's safe from the effect of radiation. I have had some Christians pray for me and I am feeling better. I don't like to talk about health problems, so I usually don't talk about it. I have to take potassium and it's companion magnesium everyday. I also have iodine that I don't take everyday, but I do take often.

Rainy day here today. It is always nice to get rain here. I just now found on you tube sermons in audio by Charles Spurgeon. Barbra it seems like you have a nice area there where you live. Are you getting a lot of rain also? Cheryl it is good that you know what is wrong with your truck. A hose would be easy to fix if you could reach it. I hope you get that fixed soon so you don't break down somewhere. Cindy enjoy your time with Bruce. I hope he is able to enjoy the snow today. It must be pretty there with all that snow, but yes not good to have to drive in that much snow. Good day Magie , Ruthanne and Kelley. I found out my numbers were wrong about the accidents. The total number of accidents from this storm were 155. I was so shocked, as there usually aren't many once there's plenty of snow as the people get used to driving in it again.
I meant to comment on you making a good chair out of two. That's basically what Bruce has done for me in order to let me keep the one chair I'm comfortable in, which is my desk chair. He's had to exchange pieces from another chair to fix this one twice. But he said the next time it breaks he won't be able to do it again as it just won't hold together anymore. So I'm trying to be very careful with it.
I'm not doing well today... or still, as the case may be. Maybe it's cause of all the storms... I don't know. I just know that I hurt a lot and have absolutely no energy. Bruce was the same way yesterday, so maybe it's just the RA. It's not good because Jenn and the kids are coming over this afternoon and having dinner with us. We were supposed to do this Sunday, but couldn't because of the storm. Since I wasn't doing well that day either, that turned out well for me. But today I have to cook supper somehow.... Thankfully the turkey is already done as I had to cook it on Sunday even though they couldn't make it. So we'll have the leftover Turkey, and there's tons of it, mashed potatoes, candied yams, stuffing, mixed veggies, and cranberry sauce. I hope. If you get a chance, please pray that the Lord will give me the energy and strength I need to get through the day ok?

Anna:
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I live 2 blocks from the ocean.
I also watch bpearthwatch and saw where the radiation leaking is now 5 times what they either originally thought or told us....however I also read that it could be 5000 times that!!!!!!! It is already at a level they never imagined.
I can't say I am feeling any 'extra' medical problems, but then I already have enough so I might not even notice unless my skin starts glowing or something. Anything extra, I think is pretty much from the typical course of various medical issues and/or aging, since I am 70 going on 71.
I have been sleepier this winter but its been the coldest winter here I remember ( tho yesterday was in the 70"s!!!!! It's been below freezing here a lot this winter, something that almost never happens and of course a LOT of rain but we are used to that.
I often ask for the Lord to protect our little sea village, and we often avoid dire weather warnings issued...I am sure the thank Jesus for His kindness.
Cindy will most certainly pray for you to have more energy and less pain, and hope you have a nice family get together.

Much colder today and rain this morning. I didn't really want to get out but I made myself go to exercise class. We had a small class today.
Tomorrow is hubby's birthday and we're going to a seafood restaurant where we have a gift certificate. Not sure yet if he wants to eat lunch or dinner there.
Hope you feel better soon, Cindy. Hugs to all.

I have been watching live feed of the Orville Dam situation, by tomorrow they had wanted to drop the level of the dam water by 50 feet and they are no where close to doing that, now there is heavy rain expected for 7 days in OR and WA and maybe northern CA. When I was watching live feed of the Orville Dam there was scrolling chat and it seemed like everyone except me and another person were just cursing on on the chat. I typed in a few nice words but everyone was miserable acting. The last thing I typed in that chat was " grow up." I still am watching live feed of the Orville Dam, watching to see what is going to happen. It is best that I don't look at the chat though.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! I definitely felt all the prayers and right when I needed it, the Lord came through and gave me the energy and strength I needed! So we had a fun time and a good dinner with everyone. The kids enjoyed playing outside in the yard, building snow forts just like their Mama used to do with her brothers and sister when she was a child. It was fun watching them too. The dinner turned out very well and everyone enjoyed it. The Lord is so good. I honestly didn't know how I'd manage, till suddenly, I was MUCH better and could do it! Anna:

Hugs to all. Thank you, I do! That's nice that you have a gift certificate for the restaurant as they sure are expensive these days. I can remember going out to eat a lot when I was young, but not anymore as we just can't afford it. Now for it costs as much for just the two of us as it used to cost for me take all 5 of my kids out to eat. it's been a good week here weather wise, only to start raining again this weekend. I never looked at those chat things, once was more than enough for me, and that was a long time ago. I just don't want to subject myself to that kind of talk or those kind of feelings. I'd rather be here with you guys!
Well I guess I'd better go check the rest of the board. See you all later. I hope everyone has a great day!

Lulu, I wonder how your friend is doing that lives near that Orville Dam. The Pineapple Express precipitation raining upstream will increase the water level at that dam. I heard that the people that evacuated are now back in their homes, which does not seem safe but while the people were evacuated some people stayed behind and also some people went into the area just to loot the homeowners and rob the businesses. That is to bad, such a world we live in today. There might have to be another evacuation.

ya we read that also Ann, there was looting going on before the first evacuation was in full swing! Yes our friends got to go home yesterday I think, but they might just get more things and go back up country, till the wet weather is over. our world is a sad place indeed....I was talking to the Lord on the way home, asking him how he keeps a smile on his face with all deceit, corruption and hate down here.... I long for Him coming to bring His bride home...my longing is with a broken heart though, for those I love that just don't get it..... thanks for the prayers for Ron's job hunting. He's got resume's out there....He's keeping busy with the church and such. tonite is our bible study.

Lulu, I pray that everyone will be alright in the flooding and all the crazy things that is going on California, right now. I think and pray for you and your family often. I would just rather see you, Jeanette and some members of my blood family just get out of California, and don't look back.
I pray that everyone will be alright with all the radiation levels on the West Coast. I haven't seen a whole lot of news, lately. And I haven't heard a thing about this, except right here in chat, so I will keep you in my prayers over this too.
Barbara, I hope Leonard will be alright and his potassium levels go down. And I'm thinking that if his potassium levels are up, then so is his sodium? What is "a cretin problem"? I searched that word and decided I'd just let you tell me what it is, because the definition said "A mental deformity...." and that didn't make sense. I hope you are all done with your doc appointments, and that everything turned out well for you. Well, as well as can be expected, anyway.
Margie, that's always so nice when someone gives you a gift card to enjoy an evening out. Lorrie sent Ed and me a gift card for Chick-fil-A, a few months back. We used part of it, after a doc appt., one day, but I still have a little bit left on the card, but haven't used it yet. There's only one CFA in this area and it's all the way up by the Mall. But, that was so nice of her to do that. Thinking about that chicken sandwich, right now, as a matter of fact. LOL Thank you, Lorrie.
Cindy, I am so happy to know your dinner went so well. Our Lord gives us exactly what we need, when we need it the most. I just love watching what He does! He lets us know that He is here, and we are SO loved, every single day.
I hope I didn't miss anyone. If I did, please forgive me. I did want to paste what I wrote in the prayer thread, here, though. Just in case you didn't see it in there, because it's just too important:
I just got off the phone with Ruthanne. She still can't get to her computer. The nurse told her "If your butt is down, your feet better be up." LOL So she asked me to make sure to tell y'all that she is SO grateful for your prayers! Well, yesterday, she called me and told me how swollen her feet were and she couldn't breathe. And I'm certain, because of it all, she was having a panic attack. She had realized there was one blood pressure med that they had replaced after surgery, (lisinopril) and she didn't remember that she still had it in her pill minder and for 3 days had still been taking it.....in addition to the replacements. I checked the interactions and found that some of the symptoms is water retention, swelling, increased heart rate, trouble breathing.....there was something else, but can't remember what it was. She can't (or won't) go to the ER, because she was able to get a replacement appointment with the pain clinic and it's Thursday. So she refuses to go back to hospital until after she's been to see him. But, she had some lasix and I told her to take one, to get rid of that water retention. We prayed together, before she hung up the phone. Today the swelling is way down. Not gone, but better. She does feel as though, the incisions in her legs are infected, and that scares me, because she is a diabetic. I begged her to have it seen to, but she is waiting for her appt, tomorrow afternoon, before she will go in. Please keep her in your prayers, that there is no infection and only irritation from the swelling. And pray with me that the Lord will breathe His oxygen into her lungs and help her not be so afraid.

I pray, every day for their hearts to be softened and take that path to our Lord's feet. Just too much hatred and evil in this world. I'm praying that Ron will find work soon.

This world is in sad shape, that's for sure, and will get worse, but our Lord will come soon, and we'll be ready and waiting. These verses give me hope and I can't help but smile when I remember the second one.... “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”” (Luke 21:28) “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” (Isaiah 60:2)
Cheryl, I'm not positive, but I think Barbara probably meant Creatine problem. It's normally found in the kidney and liver. Here's what the Mayo clinic says about it: Generally, a high serum creatinine level means that your kidneys aren't working well. Your creatinine level may temporarily increase if you're dehydrated, have a low blood volume, eat a large amount of meat or take certain medications. The dietary supplement creatine can have the same effect. www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/creatinine-test/details/results/rsc-20179431
Lulu, as I was praying for Ron this morning, about his job hunt, I suddenly got a picture in my mind that made me laugh. I saw myself as a child, begging my father do help a friend. My Father was much bigger than I was of course, which made me feel safe and secure, and I adored Him. I knew He could do anything, because He knew every employer in your area, and could cause them to want to hire my friend, because they'd do anything for my Father! When that picture came into my mind, I laughed because I knew it to be so very true. God is on His throne and although it may not appear to us that anything is happening, we can be assured that a great deal is happening, and all is being prepared so that Ron will have the job the Lord has chosen for him. I've prayed harder than usual I guess because I know how difficult it was for us when Bruce was out of work for so long. I trusted the Lord for us, and I trust Him for you guys too, and I just know that you will have your answer soon. We just have to keep sending up our prayers for that's the most powerful weapon we have. That way Satan won't be allowed to prevent it from happening.
Amen Cheryl, the Lord always gives us what we need when we need it if only we will trust and obey Him!
It's snowing again here today. Started last night, but the heavier snow will be up north from us this time, so we'll probably only get a couple of inches.
I meant to tell you guys about something Jenn's been doing lately that I've really enjoyed. It doesn't happen every night, but it happens often. I got them a daily devotional for their family by Josh MacDowell for the New year (but it didn't come into the store for them to pick up till about Jan 15th lol) Anyway, they've been reading it every night before the kids go to bed and it's really good! It's called The One Year Book of Josh McDowell's Family Devotions: A Daily Devotional for Passing Biblical Values to the Next Generation (a very long title lol) What's been neat for me is that Jenn often calls me when they're ready to do the devotional and puts the phone of speaker so that I can be part of the discussion too! I've really enjoyed it. Plus it's shown me what a good job Jenn is doing in leading her children in God's ways.

Cheryl Cindy had it right...my spelling error...sorry about that LOL
"The kidneys maintain the blood creatinine in a normal range. Creatinine has been found to be a fairly reliable indicator of kidney function. Elevated creatinine level signifies impaired kidney function or kidney disease....
Creatinine is produced from creatine, a molecule of major importance for energy production in muscles." Medicine net
It's due to a combination of meds ( mostly) but he is also a big meat eater which may not help....so he has been trying to have some non meat nights but its hard for him, he loves meat.
Cindy: That is sooooo special about Jenn WOW!!!
I have to go off again to physical therapy today bah! LOL I'd rather stay home read, eat and sleep sigh!

Just popping in to say hello.
Cindy that is really great, what Jenn is doing with the children. I've always known that she is raising them in Christ's eyes, but it's always great to hear what she does to keep their focus on our Lord.
Barbara, I sure do hope that Leonard is able to get his kidney function under control. Thank you and Cindy for explaining what it is that you meant. When I read.........if I don't understand a word.....I look it up. Then I ask........sometimes. Have you tried to serve him veggie burgers? I've heard that you can actually make them "taste" like real meat. Ed forbade me to feed him that, though. I won't repeat his exact wording, but you get the gist. LOL I also made (a couple of times) spaghetti, using ground turkey breast, instead of hamburger. He seemed to devour it, so I made it again. Same result. So, I took a chance and told him what he was eating, and OH BOY you'd think I'd tried to poison him! The way he reacted was not expected. So I promised him I'd never do that again, and never did. He love pasta though, so I fed that to him, often. But, I think that pasta is not good for Leonard, being a diabetic, right? The starch?
Well, must get away from this contraption. I am, little by little, cleaning the smoke damage out of this house. I have my second load of curtains in the washer. I'll have to run them through a second time, though, because I'm not liking the look of that water. I am ashamed to say...........it is BLACK! They are the curtains from the office, and the primary area we always smoked. (but...yes...I'm back to smoking, but not so much in the house. A few really cold nights in the house, but not most of the time, and I am STILL going to quit!) But, back to the curtains. I washed the drapes from the living room, yesterday. Had to run those through a second time and an extra rinse. They came out beautiful!! I'm so relieved. And then while these are washing, I checked the cleaning tag on my bedroom curtains, and what do you know? I can wash THOSE too! They are heavy curtains and I figured I'd have to have them dry cleaned, but it says to wash them in cold water, so that's what I'll be doing, next. I don't have blinds, anymore, and after seeing the condition of my curtains, I'm actually very relieved that I don't have blinds. I'd sooner throw them in the trash than to try to clean them. Cleaning them just would not have been an option.
OK, now that I've aired my dirty curtains in public, I'll sign off now.

Cheryl: Leonard does 98% of the cooking....and he does 'try' LOL and actually manages to have one night a week without meat ( but then for a 'snack' may have some meat)....sometimes we even have an all veggies 2 a week.
But I am a sugar/carb addict so I know how hard ( impossible? no not impossible... but seems like, it would be to be sugar free).
We both gave up smoking, and I have not had any alcohol since I was around 26 or so ( and I am going on 71), Leonard may have one beer every 3 years, and maybe a wine drink once a year.
Now they are thinking since the antibiotics ( 2nd batch) is not working, he may have gout.
That only came up yesterday but I haven't really researched it, as I had to go to physical therapy etc.
But I may get to it today ( I am wondering if meat and gout are related), I seem to have in my mind something about 'rich' foods....but I really am not sure.
I am glad you were able to get your curtains clean....we have those plastic slat/blinds and they can be a pain....after several years it seems our landlord has to buy new ones as they do break down over time, but cleaning them....oy vey!!

I am a sugar addict as well. Not too sweet, though. Just something dessert-like. I don't care for anything that is sickening sweet. Like fruit preserves. I used to love that for a "go-to" snack, but anymore, they load so much sugar into the jar, that it's all I taste. My fav is Reese's Peanut Butter sticks. (not the cups, the sticks) And my mostest favorite are Nutty Butty Bars from Hostess. If I buy a box today, they'd be gone tonight. So, I refrain from buying them. I actually get a citric acid reaction, from them, so that helps me not to buy them very often. But, I did have a nurse tell me, after she did blood-work on me, that if I didn't lay off the sweets, I was heading for trouble.
OH, I hope Leonard doesn't have gout. I know some people who are down right miserable. My youngest brother is afflicted with it. I know there are certain foods he cannot eat, that will help trigger a flare-up, but I don't know what those foods are. I do know that many people react differently, so you might have to also do 'cause & affect' until you know what's causing his problem.
My Mom used to take her blinds down, and lay them over the picnic table, and spray them down with the hose, and scrub them with scrub brush and hose them off again. Then she'd just leave them hanging in the sun, for a while and then bring them back inside all nice and clean. LOL I don't have the 'git up and go' for that, so I'm grateful I don't have them anymore.

Had a good weekend. Tomorrow we're going to a memorial service for my daughter-in-law's grandfather. He died after a 6-month struggle with liver cancer. He was in his 80's.
Hugs.

Hope your appointment goes well! I hadn't thought about it, but that book might be the perfect one for you to read with your grandchildren!
Thanks Cheryl, I love seeing how she and Bob are keeping them focused in Christ too.
yeah, Bruce informed me that I'd better never try cooking ground turkey instead of beef or things like those veggie burgers LOL
I hate cleaning blinds too!
I sure hope it's not gout. I thought I had gout for awhile, but it turned out to be the RA. Gout's another of the many diseases that often turns out to be RA.
I got rid of my blinds several years ago after the last time I tried to wash them! Cheryl: I have only done a quick search but yup....meat seems to be a main ( if not the #1) cause of gout as far as foods go....Leonard is not going to like hearing that!!!! He still is taking the 2nd dose of antibiotics tho....big horse pills!! I sure hope he starts feeling better soon!Had a good weekend. Tomorrow we're going to a memorial service for my daughter-in-law's grandfather. He died after a 6-month struggle with liver cancer. He was in his 80's. Hugs. I'm so sorry to hear that Margie.

Leonard made a shrimp stir fly dish, with a LOT of veggies, it was yummy. Actually even fish is supposed to be bad for gout...something about purines, but I still hope its better than beef.....so he is working on it. Oh I just read this ( so maybe his shrimp dish was okay)
Avoid the following types of seafood, which are higher in purines than others: anchovies, herring, sardines, mussels, scallops, trout, haddock, mackerel and tuna.
( Of course there are other foods high in purines, but I just copied the fish ones).
MY physical therapist game me a pedometer for us to get a base line of how many steps I average a day...until next visit.
Ummmmmm it's not looking good....waaaaay under what I have read people should aim for. My PT was not being judgmental...I even asked him what I I only take 100 steps in a day? He said, then we will work for there and slowly try to add to that...maybe 50 more steps and so on.
But he doesn't want me to try to work really hard to up my steps because he wants and accurate idea of where I am at
The first day was after I saw him, so it was 1/2 a day but then I got an error reading so I kind of knew more or less how many steps before that happened I just put it at 500 ( an average goal is supposed to be 10,000 I think) so you can see just how far I am from that!!!!!!! Next day, I did go shopping with hubby ( to get our soon to be born 3rd grandchild our son's first) and we went to grocery store so that was 2850 steps that day yesterday was 841 but today, it seems like the cheepie meter is not working correctly ( also I didn't place it exactly near my leg, I moved it to a better location)
soooooo I think I may have missed 100 or more steps but never the less its reading 54 steps at almost 11 o'clock this morning....at this rate I won't even get to 250 this day.
I do hope to go on a walk before seeing PT because I am curious how many steps my almost a mile walk
( assuming I can still do it)
I do fine walking a mile in spring, summer and early fall, but don't walk in winter
and then have to build a tolerance up and take an extra half pain med, but I do enjoy it when I can...
I also love to go wading in the ocean, but with Japan's reactor spewing endless stuff in ocean, I wonder if I should... does it mean I can never wade again..... I am tempted to just do it in Spring and Summer anyway!

Barbara, good luck with that walking meter. I hope it's better than the one they gave to Ed. Although, he could only use it a couple days after his pain workshop, it was measuring around 600 steps a day. But that was inaccurate, because it was measuring every time he moved. A couple days after we returned home, after a week long workshop at the Marion VA, he broke his heal and never walked again. The pain management people called to schedule him for a new workshop, for followup in November. That's when Ed said he's going to have to pass on this session, because he cannot walk. Besides, he probably wouldn't have gone, anyway. They put us up in a fleabag hotel, and on the second floor with no elevator. That was our first complaint.......of many. Who schedules a pain management workshop and allows their patients to be stuck on the 2nd floor??! And one man used a walker! Then they had the nerve to have a psychologist come in, one of the days, to convince the patients that it was all in their head.
Anyway, I just went clean off the subject, sorry. But, I hope the walking measurement gives your physical therapist something to work with, so he can help you.
If I were you, I wouldn't be going anywhere near that ocean, in its condition. It's bad enough that we are all probably eating seafood that is contaminated. But, to wade directly in it, I think would be a bad idea. But, that's just me.

Wow Barbara, you do a 1000% better than I do! But my doctor knows how hard I worked to increase my ability to walk but all it did was give me more pain. (I tried for several years so it wasn't just a quick try) That was years ago when I was working in the garden. Now I don't take any more steps than I absolutely have to in order to keep the pain down as much as I can. Generally only a few hundred a day at the most. I had really hoped when I was trying to increase it, that eventually my body wouldn't hurt when I walked, but it didn't work that way for me. It does for other people though, and I sure hope you're one of them! Barbara, good luck with that walking meter. I hope it's better than the one they gave to Ed. I'm not feeling well at all today, so not up to doing much I'm afraid. Hope everyone is having a good day though.

Cheyrl: Yup this pedometer is either recording every time I shift in my chair..... or yesterday, it was often not recording steps at all I finally had to guess it was around 439 steps or so.
Cindy: I am so sorry you are feeling bad!
I just read where they have recorded high radiation in 7 European countries....doesn't sound good.

I agree. The walking thing is not for everyone, Cindy. Like you, I cannot tolerate long walking. It usually hits me right away, but when it doesn't, it hits me later on, when I'm not doing a thing. And it has gotten worse, gradually, over the years. Even things I could do, last year, I cannot do this year. Walking and standing for longer that 15 to 20 minutes at a time, makes it worse.
I am actually somewhat surprised that Ed stayed the whole 5 days. They all did. And it wasn't because they had it in their brains that they had chronic pain. It was because they were ALL so desperate for some relief, from the pain they were actually feeling. But, these people didn't have a clue, what these men & women were having to endure. They (the physicians at the workshop) were actually at the beginning stages of the "trial and error" of what to do to find relief for them. We all kept saying....Nope, tried that, didn't work........that helped, but not for very long........nope, sorry, can't do that..... There was one time, though, and I've been waiting to tell everyone this one. A woman, who seemed kind of messed up, socially, finally said something that made the most sense...........SOAP UNDER THE BED SHEET! I almost burst into laughter. But, instead, I anticipated what she was going to say when she started out saying "you're going to think I'm crazy, and you aren't going to believe it....." I started nodding my head, and under my breath was saying yep, yep. And Ed started pointing at me, saying talk to my wife, she knows all about it. And everyone was like, huh?......You've got to be kidding. Many there, had RLS and cramping and could never find any relief from it. But, instead of talking to the woman who was being paid to give the lecture, they were all asking me about it.
I should start a thread about this, but it's actually really short (in comparison to how I usually write, lol) But, one other session was so awesome. They brought in a team who trains service dogs. That was the best and most interesting part of the program. These dogs are totally amazing. Each one of the handlers owned dogs of their own, for their own conditions, so that made it so much better, because they trained how they, themselves, live. And these dogs were not just trained to sense an attack of PTSD, but an oncoming heart attack and other trauma the human might be experiencing that even they don't know is happening. These dogs are not pets. The humans are very attached to them, but they are trained to do a job, and the dogs actually take it more seriously than the owners do. I could have sat there all day, and listened to them, telling their stories of what these wonderful animals do for people with chronic pain and chronic conditions. And it's not a particular breed either. One of the dogs was a little mutt. So cute.
Cindy, I hope you can rest today, or be able to do what it is you do to help be able to feel better. We all have our "thing" we do, to help alleviate our pain. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think we can just all call ourselves a 'work in process'.
OK, speaking of today. I do have a couple things I need to tend to today, and it's almost noon, my time, and I haven't even begun. So, I'll talk with y'all later............

Hi everyone. Goodness, I haven't been here in chat in a couple of weeks.
I just finished reading the last page of Chat & haven't even started at the top of this one yet, but am about to have to leave to meet Timothy at Urgent Care; it sounds like he has the flu. He actually went to the CVS Minute Clinic about 10 days ago with similar symptoms and tested negative for flu (they called it flu syndrome) and he got better, but his symptoms came back yesterday and I just found out (15 minutes ago) that he's home sick today and barely able to get out of bed. Called our family doctor and they're booked for the rest of the day, so to Urgent Care he must go. Lots of flu going around; it's bad. Hope that, if he has it, it won't be too late for him to take Tamilflu.
Catch you all later!
