Hi
Can I please ask for prayer for my daughters protection. This awful bad penny "friend" she has is still hanging around and I'm asking God to please drive this girl out of my daughters life forever.
We thought we were on top of this but the Devil is fighting us real hard.
I'm pretty sure my daughter has something great to do for God, and the Devil is throwing everything at her to corrupt and break her.

Thanks for the video about hospitals! I can certainly tell you everything she said is very true!
Well I know why I felt to weird yesterday. My doctor put me on a new med and I'm having side effects from it. One is that once I take it, it knocks me out. The only reason I can type this is because it's worn off and I haven't taken the next dose yet. I need to take a shower and can't trust myself doing that if I take the med first. But it's sure giving me plenty of sleep. Maybe I'll even get rid of the circles under my eyes from lack of sleep. That would be great! But they've been there for years now, so not sure I can sleep enough to get rid of them. We'll see! I'd like to stay and post, but I have to get my shower, do some chores and get some papers ready for the lawyer. Check out the great news sites I listed on the End Times forum. There, I even gave you all the link!  There's some great articles in many of them. I've seen them and want to post them but don't have time to do so. Plus, I can't put off taking that med for much longer. Sadly that means I'm not going to be able to post any more today.

and also had some very good suggestions of what to do,
if you or a loved one absolutely has to go!
Things like having a loved one there to be an advocate
and
If you are alone and the nurse says she will bring your pain meds
and does not turn up in 15 minutes
then ask!
Sometimes nurses are just overworked,
and Lo and behold they are human
and can on a rare occasion.....just forget....
especially if they are super,super, super busy
So it's okay to ask

That's why He tells us to take our thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ (2 Cor 10:5), and why He tells us the kind of things we should allow in our minds (Phil 4:8). The Lord showed me how big a difference it makes and how much you grow in your faith when you obey His Word about what you allow in your mind. Many Christians don't obey this because they don't want to give up whatever it is they're reading, watching, or listening to that's sinful. Of course they don't believe it's sinful because they don't want to believe that God says it is, so they refuse to listen. I did too for a long time till He showed me the difference one day. I found that the books I used to love reading I no longer wanted to read them. From then on they disgusted me. I had a lot of them and am still getting rid of them. I finally told Bruce that if no one takes them to throw them away. yes, those were great suggestions and she was right on! Sadly, all nurses today are always super busy and overworked, so they tend to be tired and depending on the person, cranky or just trying to do the minimum as they're too tired to do what they used to do. Many keep smiling anyway and just do the best they can under the circumstances. But there are those who try to use the current situation to show that they're a "super nurse" and should be given a promotion. We had one like that and she really hurt Christopher by what she did trying to prove how knowledgeable she was. She got chewed out at least, I'm sure, and possibly more.
Honestly, over the years since covid, I've had a lot of interaction with nurses and doctors for my son, my husband and myself. Yes, there were a few that were just plain bad and I reported them and told them off. I haven't seen or heard of them since. Then there was one or two that had a bad attitude, and made you feel like you had no business interrupting their day. That's frustrating and makes you want to tell them off too, and one I did. Their job was just to answer phones and make appointments, take notes of whatever the person calling wanted to tell the doctor, or give them information about something in their chart. I haven't heard either of them since I told off the one person. But there were also a lot that were just plain wonderful. They worked very hard and always had a smile and a great attitude.
So, if you get a bad one, either report them when you get home or right then and there, or simply ask to see or speak to someone else. If they give you a hard time, just hang up (if you're calling) and call back in a few minutes and you'll probably get another person. Or you could even call from another phone if you want to. If it's a doctor or doctor's assistant or whoever, simply tell them you would like to see another doctor (or whoever). They will most likely be surprised and ask why (just human nature to do that). You can simply say you don't feel comfortable with them and want to try someone else. They have to let you do that and can't stop you. If they're one of the really bad ones and keep trying to talk you out of it (which most likely means they've been warned before about their behavior and have warnings on their file and can't get another one) just call the office so you can talk to the secretary or whoever answers the phone. They can make the switch for you with no problems. Don't let the bad one get you to give in. If you can't talk to them, call the office when you get home and they'll handle it for you. Everyone is different, so the person may just rub you the wrong way, or you may rub them the wrong way. It's always a good idea to simply switch to another provider. Then enjoy all the good ones that want to help you, and ignore the bad ones or report them when you get home.
Whatever you do, please don't allow yourself to not get the healthcare you need because of bad experiences. I realize it can be hard on us emotionally and physically, but it's necessary especially at our age. You should also ask the Lord to give you a doctor and or nurse that will help you and that you can get along with. Jesus loves to do those things for us!

I am thinking you remember Cindy, the issue I had with that one nurse,
you encouraged me to ask to switch to a different nurse
and it happened and the higher ups
sent me a questionnaire
which I filled out!
I was not 'mean'
I said that I thought the nurse meant well,
and knew her stuff
but I personally was intimated by her.
But as far as going for care
I honestly do not see much reason to go
because
As far as pain goes,
they say, take ibuprofen
when I go they nag me about
getting a colonoscopy
getting breast checked
getting a bunch of shots
getting on statins
And that is that!!!
Well, NONE of that appeals to me.
Plus, it is really hard for me to
just get ready to go
to wait while there
to wait in the waiting room
to wait for the medical person
As you know, this Oct. I will be 79
in some ways, I am kind of doing well
in certain areas for my age
but in others
not so much
But tho I am not trying to have bad health
I am really really leery of much of the medical community
Like for one small example:
the constant asking about depression
well in Canada...
they will put you permanently out of your 'misery'.
I did have the new nurse finally suggest
Omega 3 fatty acids
as an alternative to statins
Yeah!!!!
But at the same time her solution to pain
was.....ta dah
ibuprofen
I am just tired of the whole thing!
I Amy go to the yearly well check
IF they ever call about it...
but I am not in the mood to call them
for one thing
they cannot hear me on the phone anyway
Oh...and they have only one solution to the voice issue
which they cannot work out either
Have I grumbled and complained enough LOL

I think your med community is a lot better that Oregon's???

I know I live in LA I know my city medical community is pretty pretty good to a point
BTW I just hope city father of LA don't do same thing they did in Paris France with Drag Queens in France really LOL!
I doubt it going show all races of CA in city parade LA is build by EVERYBODY who want make $$ back in da day also evanglaizem of Cathoic church too I don't mind that

2 days and nights with only about an hour of sleep...if that!
Prayerfully, I will sleep tonight.
I don't know if any of you have or seen
the set of measuring spoons I bought and just received:
( I bought 5 sets to give as gifts :)
So they have how much of a teaspoon each spoon is
but also,
cute names:
The largest ( biggest amount)
is:
A tad= 1/4 teaspoon
Next is:
a dash= 1/8 teaspoon
a pinch= 1/16 teaspoon
a smidgen= 1/32 teaspoon
and lastly......
a drop= 1/64 teaspoon
Well, you never know when a recipe will call for a drop
or a pinch :)
and previously I did not know how much those( names or labels or directions) were.
now
I know LOL
Oh last night at 3:30 fireworks
Right now, it is 9:30
and they are starting setting them off
sigh! 
So I will see if I sleep tonight
or not
The longer I go without sleep
the loopier, I get!
And yes, I put in ear plugs!

There's some great articles in many of them. I've seen them and want to post them but don't have time to do so. Plus, I can't put off taking that med for much longer. Sadly that means I'm not going to be able to post any more today.
