I have a prayer request but want to really explain what's going on first so you'll know what to pray for. I hope you all don't mind.
I've been awake since 2am. I was really hoping to go to church, but not sure I'll be able to now. Pain is what is keeping me awake. My hips are worse. I hate this whole thing. You know that I have been sleeping sitting up for many years now, which keeps my pain level manageable with the help of narcotics. Before I started sleeping this way, the pain was horrendous. I know I absolutely could not have handled it at all without a whole lot of help from the Lord. Even with the narcotics it wasn't bearable. I rarely slept more than a couple of hours, and most nights only slept for maybe a total of 4 hours, but not consecutively. Weeks after I started sleeping like someone that's in a recliner and had such wonderful pain relief, I hurt my neck and thought I'd have to sleep laying down in order for it to get better. So I did that night. Two hours later I woke up screaming again. Once again it took hours before I was able to get the pain somewhat manageable. I swore I'd never lay down again. But now, when they do the surgery, even though I'll be knocked out, I'll be laying down. That is most likely what caused me to wake up in the middle of my last surgery, and I do not want to go through that again! On top of that, I've been taking the same exact dose of morphine since the day it was originally prescribed in 2007. I've never asked to have it increased, nor have I asked to take more. I knew better than that since the whole country was going nuts thinking everyone that took a narcotic was an addict. But the down side of that is that the morphine no longer does much of anything for me. Plus, my original doctor who put me on morphine, tried just about every narcotic available and I either couldn't tolerate them. There's only one other med that I know for sure I can take and that's Demerol. Lastly, I believe that when they do the surgery they're going to have to do both hips at the same time, which will of course cause even greater pain. I admit, I'm scared!!! I'm calling the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get it to see him sooner somehow. They said they'd try, but this is ridiculous. I can't believe they told me it's an "emergency situation" since it can block off all blood flow to my body from the hips down if my joints finish deteriorating before I have the surgery. In which case I'm to get to a hospital ASAP. But then they turn around and say the doctor who will refer me to the surgeon can't see me for 30 more days???? That's what I'm going to be telling them tomorrow, cause that's just crazy! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know what's going on in my head. I take my thoughts captive and don't allow them 99% of the time, except if I'm talking to the Lord about it. But I wanted to ask you to pray for me and this surgery and wanted you to know what all the problems were. Now that I've written it, I think I'll copy it and post it in the chat thread too. Thank you in advance for your prayers. They're the best gift anyone can give!

yes, it does seem really scary.
Will you have help for things like:
cooking, cleaning,laundry etc. etc.
I doubt you will be able to do any of that for a while?
That is certainly
crazy, confusing, confounding,
bewildering, baffling
and nuts.....
How can they tell you it's a life threatening situation,
and then, say 30 days before they can do the surgery!!!????
I am truly befuddled about the medical industry these days.
Of course I will be praying for you
( I do pray for you everyday,
but this is another new level).
I often pray for you several times a day
and now I will step it up even more!
And that whole thing about pain medication
drives me up the wall.
I have no doubt that there are addicts
that would and did use narcotics and many died.
But people with true physical pain
do not want to take them for fun or giggles...
And I doubt many real patients
become 'addicts' as a result.
Again, some might...
But then, alcohol is a 'drug'
and you don't see those folks in charge saying:
no one can have a beer, or a glass of wine
because many others will become alcoholics.

We are getting the monsoon light rains here, no heavy rain yet and maybe not at all this year, with temperatures near 100 everyday for serveral days, all my herb plants are dying off, both the indoor plants and the outdoor plants and my potted flowers. The light rains have started the clover growing again so I am able to have clover tea.

The people who make the appointments have no idea what's gone on in the current appointment unless someone tells them. I simply assumed (apparently wrongly) that the doctor would have left a note for them. I just called the appointment desk and explained it to them and they were horrified. They're currently trying to check and see just what needs to be done by who, and see if they can then get permission to rearrange the schedule to get me in right away. They're going to call me back when they find out. There is one other possibility.... it's one that I would hope isn't true. But sometimes doctors will outright lie in order to get a patient to do what they want. Like a doctor telling someone they had lung cancer because he wanted them to stop smoking. Or in this case that it was an emergency so that i "had" to have surgery right now. We will see and I will of course let you know if I've been misled.
You're right about pain patients not becoming addicts. Less than 1% of pain patients become addicted to their pain meds.

You know, the assassin saying he hated Trump and republicans, is so sad, especially for someone so very young. Only 20! I suspect (I obviously don't know) that it's very possible that he heard his parents saying that over the last 4 years or so and decided they must be right and became just like them. Only he carried it to the extreme by trying to kill Trump and republicans. I'm sure his parents must be devastated. It's also possible he picked up the hate online or from peers. There's certainly plenty of it going around now days.

Well real reason I haven't been around lately in the afternoon last week we have repair people here one of my brother friend who run Construction company paint inside our house so I was in back mostly try keep out of the way I could get online certain hour but now I have free of the house I was sleep in the back couch couple day last week now my mom want me go go on Bates Mill store later on maybe in August she want new bedspread and blankets for that room which orginally my brother room
So I look at maybe Abgail Adams then GW blanket but Kino blankets also throws
She want pick up couple throws throught the site so we already put new window in last June now we going settle and gearing up for fall and winter I may put in order in August so give them plenty of time to make bedspread take about 6 to 8 they make it order

I 'd watched videos from India and Pakistan of the foods they ate, mostly the curry they made and I started making homemade soup with these many ingredients, tumeric, ginger, coconut milk ... so I made a soup this morning went to the shed where the propane camping stove is and cooked the soup. My dog had followed me and I told her she does not eat this kind of food though I wish she would because I may not be able to buy the beef that she likes, so we went in the home with the soup and she still wanted some of the soup and I remembered a man from a video I watched saying, my dog has to eat what I eat, so I gave her some spicy lentil chic pea soup and she liked it so I gave her some more and she ate it but that was enough for her.
I was able to mow with the lawn mower yesterday evening so the area is nicer to look at.

 As for the house, because we didn't get one of the papers needed prior to closing like we were supposed to, we have to go back tomorrow afternoon to sign them again. That means the lawyer will most likely sign for me since I gave him power of attorney to do that, and the house will close tomorrow. Unless of course they have the closing at noon so I can do it myself, but either way the house closes tomorrow!
Bruce will have to take care of the cats while I'm gone.
The hospital called me this morning and I have an appointment to see the surgeon at 3:20 tomorrow afternoon. That means I won't have time today or tomorrow to be here other than to post this. I need to have everything ready in case they admit me. I'm hoping they won't, but I want to be ready in case they do. After all, they're the ones who said it's an emergency so.... who knows?
I won't know anything about it until I see the surgeon tomorrow. I'll take my kindle with me so that if I'm admitted I can at least message Barbara on the messenger and she can let you all know. I'm guessing that if they do admit me it will either be after 5pm EST or the next morning. But either way, I'll let Barbara know so she can tell you all.
Until I see the surgeon though I have no idea exactly what they're going to do, how long it will take, what my recovery will be or what I'll need afterward etc. I'll have to let you know those things as I find out.

BTW I got that notice about trangender new rules I not allow tell the parent that their kid want be certain pronoun I don't know I waiting to stick with the job until 62 I plan to retired I got few more years beside I could retired early but I want benefits if I wait to partly to 62 thorugh school conscelor contract I going have benefit I could live on
