Yeah this were all Euro empire get their money from go wayyyyyy back in da day A fire tore through Copenhagen's 17th-century old Stock Exchange, one of Danish capital's most iconic buildings, on Tuesday morning. The blaze engulfed its iconic 54-meter spire, which collapsed onto the roof. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown. Several streets and the area around the building have been cordoned off. Police asked people to avoid driving in the inner part of the city, police said. Danish emergency services said on Tuesday afternoon that the fire was "under control" and that they were working on the "final extinguishing" of the blaze. www.dw.com/en/fire-engulfs-copenhagens-historic-stock-exchange-building/a-68836409

That part of stock exchange no more Copenhagen Stock Exchange facade collapses after fire Danish emergency services on Thursday said that the facade of Copenhagen's former Stock Exchange building had collapsed after a devastating fire weakened the structure on Tuesday. "Unfortunately, there has been a collapse of the facade," Copenhagen's rescue service said in a post to X, formerly Twitter. Officials said no one was injured and that all workers on site had been evacuated. Half of the structure was destroyed Tuesday and it's 54-meter (1800 foot) tall spire toppled after fire broke out during restoration work being carried out for the building's 400-year anniversary. The spire, it was later repoted, was saved, as were hundreds of artworks that were quickly removed from the burning structure. www.dw.com/en/copenhagen-stock-exchange-facade-collapses-after-fire/a-68863311

I'm glad they saved the spire and some of the artwork. I like old stately buildings and houses.
