Yeah from Trump try get US withdrawel from NATO LOL! It was early 1996 when German soldiers in combat gear stepped onto the territory of another European country for the first time since World War II. The Germans did not come to Bosnia-Herzegovina as UN peacekeepers, or Blue Helmets, but as part of the NATO-led Implementation Force (IFOR). In 1992, the former Yugoslavian republic had been plunged into the bloodiest war on European soil since 1945 by the country's ethnic Serb minority, with the support of the troops of the Serbian autocrat Slobodan Milosevic. In December 1995, the warring parties, the neighboring countries and the heads of state and government of the United States, Britain, France, and Germany signed the Dayton Peace Agreement. NATO formed IFOR, which was succeeded by the Stabilization Force (SFOR), to maintain the ceasefire and stabilize peace in the small southeastern European state. www.dw.com/en/bundeswehr-starts-preparing-for-war/a-68734753

Tell me about it NATO about Trump LOL! As NATO marks 75 years, a revitalized Alliance faces an array of new challenges As NATO marks its 75th anniversary on Thursday, the Alliance is seeing renewed dynamism, particularly with the recent accessions of Finland and Sweden. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) celebrates its 75th anniversary on Thursday at a time when Europe and the Alliance itself are facing a host of new threats. The occasion also marks 25 years since the accession of Poland, the Czech Republic (Czechia) and Hungary, as well as 20 years since the three Baltic states joined alongside Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia and Bulgaria. The 32-nation Alliance has seen significant expansion since its founding 12 members first joined forces on April 4, 1949, in the turbulent years following World War II. But it also now finds itself facing key new challenges, notably war returning to the European continent with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the attendant difficulties of marshalling support for Kyiv from all NATO members. While the war in Ukraine has underscored the continuing importance of the transatlantic alliance, it has also highlighted many of the challenges going forward. NATO foreign ministers gathered starting Wednesday in Brussels to discuss the creation of an aid fund for Kyiv worth some €100 billion over five years, with Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg declaring that N www.france24.com/en/europe/20240404-nato-marks-75-years-anniversary-revitalized-alliance-faces-new-challenges-ukraine
