Here the big story on this Tuesday morning I just woke up to this WHOA DUDE! BALTIMORE, Md. -- A container ship struck Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge early Tuesday after losing propulsion, causing a "catastrophic collapse," sending vehicles and people into the water, officials in Maryland said. Six people remain unaccounted for as the desperate search continues at the site of the bridge collapse, Coast Guard officials said at a Tuesday morning news conference. Five submerged vehicles have also been found in the water, Baltimore City Fire Chief James Wallace told CNN. So far 6 people still missing 6 people still missing after collapse, 2 rescued Six people are still missing following the collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge after a container ship collided with one of its pylons, the state Secretary of Transportation, Paul Wiedefeld, said. Rescuers pulled out two survivors, one of whom was being treated in hospital. Authorities believe eight people were on the bridge when it was hit. Wiedefeld said that all six missing people are believed to be construction workers, who were working on the bridge, repairing potholes, at the time. Maryland's governor, Wes Moore, declared an emergency following the collapse.
