Checked in on Jackie at Big Bear, no eaglets yet. She reminded me of a John Denver song "Eagles and Horses" from the Wildlife Concert.

Cindy: I have also gone in the past, only to be told it was the next day... but I ALWAYS write the date and time on the calendar when talking to the person making the appointment. I wondered if maybe 'they' made a mistake? They have to make a lot of appointments and could make a mistake? I have to deal with just ONE appointment...mine?
Any news on the house yet...or will it take a while longer? We still pray about it each day. Thank you so very much for your prayers! I greatly appreciate it! Josh just called and said his dad is calling the lawyer today, but he hasn't said a word to Josh! Why would a father do that??? Poor Josh is a wreck not knowing what's going to happen. I know that the lawyer will call me as soon as he talks to Josh's dad. I'm praying that he's going to tell us that he's buying the house, but obviously don't know yet. I'll let you know what I find out as soon as possible.
As to whether or not the clinic or hospital can make mistakes when they set up appointments, of course they can. They're only human, just like us. I'm sure that it's their fault at times and that at times it's the patients fault. It's kind of funny though because no one ever wants to admit it's their fault lol. It's aggravating when you know you wrote it down correctly, but I'm sure it's probably just as aggravating to them when they feel that way too.
I had a lot of work for the estates to do yesterday so wasn't able to get here. I worked on it till supper time and still have some to do today too. Have company coming over shortly again today and I have some chores to get done first so have to get busy. I had to call the vet again because Chloe got a bad mouse and has a tapeworm. Yuck! Anyway, the medicine is on it's way. It's a topical one so should be easy to administer. I just have to put in on her neck like you do that flea and tick stuff. I don't use that though as my cats have never had fleas or ticks, but we did have to help Chris put it on his cats.

Cindy:
Do let us know as soon as you are able! I can't imagine doing all the math and legal work you do! WOW!!!
Yes, with cats there is always something....if they were not so cute....LOL
Bob our 1/2 Maine Coon and 1/2 Norwegian Forrest cat had always insisted on staying outside ( he has an incredible coat....so weather is not much of an issue for him)
However, about a month ago, he finally decided to be a 95% indoor cat???
And that means a litter box but because he is a BIG cat ( much bigger than a lot of small dogs) I have to now clean the litter box daily ( oh and that means a LOT of kitty litter to buy....that we didn't used to have to buy).
We always had a litter box, in case our two cats had an emergency need but oh well....
Oh and Bob was definitely not into being petted much! But NOW he demands being petted
Cats! Go figure?!

Yesterday morning I was woke up by one of the dogs outside my door whinning I thought it got caught in my fence and opened the door and the three dogs were there, and the older dog and a new addition, so five neighbor dogs and I saw a cat fall from a tree and the dogs killed it.
This morning I have been working with seeds to plant in soil and I am using my Aerogarden, I want to get chaomile plants from that, and will see if a tomato plant will grow. I will be cleaning and organizing around here, finally starting to get some room to move around better.

Most of you here know that I love my cats. Understanding cats is kind of like learning to type or play piano, once you "get the hang of it" it all starts to make sense........sort of. lol
I learned typing in high school, can type about 35 wpm. At age 71 I'm still studying and taking piano lessons, I think it helps keep me sane.

My mom was like that also, I once bought a three-piece pantsuit and it did not look good on me so my mom who was a little taller and thinner than me tried it on and it looked nice on her and she said how much did you pay for it I will pay you for it, and she wore it often.
You too, I have always typed 35 wpm, I also learned to type in high school, my girlfriend and I laughed so much in that typing class that we got separated from each other. How nice piano lessons, I like those old-time player pianos. My grandmother had an old piano in her home parlor which matched well with the old civil war time built house.

fearnot Josh's dad didn't call the lawyer yesterday. I forgot that he's a teacher, so I understand it will be hard for him to get out of the classroom to make a call. Josh got even more upset though and told me this morning that he called his mom and told her that he had to know, that time was of the essence, so she's calling his dad at the school and telling him to call and let us know one way or another.
Yeah, cats are funny that way. I've always cleaned the litter boxes daily. I made a deal with my cats and promised to do that if they promised to always use one of the litter boxes. They kept their part so I keep mine LOL
anna That's awful that the dogs killed the cat! I hate it when people don't train their animals to get along with others. They don't have to like each other but at least not harm each other. A few days ago I watched Josh's dog (he's a very big dog, mixed breed) run and play with a cat. Both the cat and the dog were enjoying themselves and it was so uplifting to watch. I wish you could have seen that instead. it sounds like you're doing great with your garden!
sevenofnine Glad you got your refund back! That reminds me that I finally got to show my daughter how to do her own taxes. She was really nervous about it, but feels a lot better about it now, since she's already got her federal tax refund awhile ago. Now that she's done it once it will be even easier for her to do it again next year. (Of course I'll help her again if she wants me to.)
oliverwithatwist That's great! I took typing in high school too and I played the piano as well. (I taught myself) and just loved it. I'd love to have a piano again.
I enjoyed visiting with my neighbor yesterday too. It was a nice break from everything else. God really blessed me with such a wonderful neighbor!
all again for all of your prayers that Josh's dad buys the house. I'm sorry it's taking longer than I thought it would. Hopefully we'll know something today for sure.

Kelly, you're such a sweetheart! Thank you! I've been expecting the lawyer to call me all morning, but so far he hasn't. Josh called me last night just after I'd gone to bed. I hadn't said anything to him about it, but I'd thought that having his mom call him at school to tell him to call the lawyer was going to far. I didn't think he'd appreciate that. Apparently I was right since he didn't call the lawyer and all he said to Josh was "I'm working on it". So I keep expecting the lawyer to call me and tell me we have to put the house up for public sale now. I doubt if he will wait any longer than tomorrow to say that. If that happens, I'll have to sell it to the first person that will give us the full amount we're asking. All I can do is hope that his dad is working on it really hard and not just talking out his ear.
I am so very tired of this. Why can't people cooperate? What is so hard about talking to a bank loan officer (which he told Josh he had already done) and then calling that loan officer and asking them to call me or the lawyer and confirm that he's interested in buying the house??? Or if not that, getting a pre-approval letter from them? You'd think we were asking them to do something horribly difficult or even impossible. I just can't take much more of this.
That was such a sweet thing your Mom did Kelly! Bless her heart!
Yep, I took shorthand as well! I don't remember much of it at all now though, since I never used it. I typed between 60 words per minute in school and was doing 70 wpm when we had the original Fresh Hope.
