Sorry, I don't remember if you already posted this, but in case you didn't, I will. It's from 3 days ago:
Hope you're all doing well. We got our shopping done yesterday, and also stopped by Christopher's house. We still have a ton of work to do there, but keep putting it off. Next Tuesday we're going to have to do some running around though for the lawyer and Bruce has to get his blood drawn. What are each of you up to lately?

Don't get me started about what we pay to watch sports either on TV or in person, or what we pay people to play sports or people to help others play sports! Boy O boy is that a huge sore spot for me. Not because I want to watch sports so much but because it shows how terribly messed up our priorities are in the US and in much of the world. Here we pay tons of money for sports but practically nothing for what should be the most important things in our life, such as our parents, grandparents, our spouse, our children, and our siblings. The people who actually take care of our loved ones have always worked at much less than minimum wage. When I started working at the residential care facility, I was making $4.25 an hour. That was just before 1990. In 1999 I was making $6.50 an hour. I went to a private Christian company in 2000 and made what for me was a HUGE amount - $10 an hour! I was the one who took care of other people's parents and grandparents. I loved them, washed their bodies, dressed them, fed those those who couldn't feed themselves, and held them when they died. Before that I took care of other people's children. Their babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Later I took care of their elementary school children. I averaged about $2-$3 an hour doing that.
It's not just me though. I only shared what I made because those were the average wages of the vast majority of people in those lines of work at the time. I would think that if we had our priorities as straight as God's are, that we would realize that people should always come first. That the people who take care of our children or the elderly should be paid more than anyone else, because our children are our future and the elderly are our past, and both are our loved ones. Teachers are also in the group of people that care for our children. They should have been paid a lot more than they ever were. (not talking about those teachers today who are helping to brainwash our kids, but those teachers who taught our kids how to think for themselves for many, many years in this country.
OK, I'll stop now! Sorry about that! But that's always really bothered me.
I hope you're able to enjoy the football games though Kelly.
I've got to go figure out our budget and work on that today.... so I'm stalling!

Wow! A lot on your plate Cindy!!! No I didn't post that, and will watch it...I missed it somehow so thank you!!!
Today we won't be doing much...
the weather is not great, below zero, freezing rain, and snow.
Which is too bad, because Leonard had hoped to go out and buy for himself a new computer...(we just had to buy one for me last month)....
His computer is almost done. It will work for a short while, and then freeezes up, its losing info ( all his art photos etc etc.)
but the roads are going to be ice...so???? we do not have show tires, and the brakes are iffy.
But you on the other hand are doing a LOT of hard work!!! We will probably nap a LOT today. sigh!
It's weird, some 'seniors' are 100, and running marathons
others ( who would that be???)
are spending 90% of their time napping... go figure.

OH!! I agree totally with your rant Cindy.
I would add one more group, tho, I know some would not, because a lot of homeless people are on drugs, and are semi criminals etc.
But, the next few days here will be in the 20's...
and some wealthy person gave Seaside 'millions' to help the homeless.
Seaside did buy some ( maybe as many as 10?)kind of container looking ( mini homes??) but they are soooooooo small...kind of like a closet)...
nevertheless, a place to be out of the freezing rain and super cold.
But.......... they city decided NOT to allow the homeless to stay in them because, high winds they 'might' blow away. I would think a tent that some ( but not all) the homeless have would be even more apt to blow away?
And yes, I get giving them money, might mean it would be just used for drugs
However, one could buy cups of coffee, hot chocolate, ( for the kids), hot food ( Mcdonald's), blankets, polar extreme socks and gloves, food for their dog, etc etc etc. OH and a bunch of Bibles!
I heard different estimates of how much this man gave Seaside for the homeless the highest amount I heard was 30 million!! And what has Seaside done with that money to help??? Well they had a small snippet of land these 10 ' mini homes) were to go on.....but the homeless cannot even camp there in tents....the city did find another spot which they have marked out 10 spots ( like 12 feet by 8 feet per homeless person and the city locks the fence in at night.).
The very first place the city provided was a swamp ( mill pond) but it flooded out so many times, this new place was finally given. And it seems its very very temporary ( because after all we are a main tourist attraction.)
I know this is a headache and danger for many....but still, my heart goes out to them...they are still people and NOT all are drug addicts.
Some people are only one check away from going the rank of the homeless ( people who do not do drugs, or drink, and do not have family to move in with).
There is a woman who comes to our place every 2 weeks or so to do canning. She works tirelessly. She seems to have a very very very severe scoliosis bent over almost in two. She is very smart, and I have seen her canning from up even in the dark of the night. And yes, she did drugs, but seems to be almost clean now. I talk with her at length...she is not a scary person, a thief,violent etc.
However she got hit by a car a year ago, ( which did not help her health) and will get a good settlement.
She wants to buy a plot of land, and buy a couple of 'real' mini houses, and live in one and rent the others out to the homeless ( especially women with small children)

Israel has been unfairly banned from international hockey competitions due to 'security reasons'
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has decided to ban Israel from competitions due to “security concerns”.
The hockey federation "has decided to restrict the Israeli National Team from participating in IIHF Championships until the safety and well-being of all participants (including Israeli participants) can be assured."
The decision means that Israel's U20 team will not be able to participate in the Division III world championship later this month in Bulgaria and Bosnia,
and
that the national women's team will not be able to participate in the Division III world championship in Estonia in March.
The decision constitutes severe anti-Israel discrimination in direct breach of IIHF's own Code of Ethics which forbids discrimination against a "group of persons by whatever means, including on grounds of race, skin color, gender, ethnic, national or social origin, religion, philosophical or political opinion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender orientation or other grounds."
The International Ice Hockey Federation's decision to exclude Israel from international competition is an unusual, very grave step that does not meet any international sporting standard and is completely antithetical to Olympic values.
With its decision, the federation is lending support to terror and to the massacre of children and the elderly in their beds, in their homes. ~~~~~~~~

Cindy:
I just watched that video of Amir! I have never seen him looking so tired, distraught, in pain! He looked like he was about to cry at one point.
He really is a strong believer in Jesus, and so, he puts ALL his trust in the Lord....
but even such a strong man and strong believer, can have moments.
He was high up in the IDF...a major ( but I still think, he may have been higher still...
I have zero evidence, it is just a 'feeling' and 'we' cannot rely on them, but I still think so!!! hahaha)
I know two of his children are in the IDF right now: ( a 'daughter') ( in some ways, I am sure as a dad, he worries a lot about that....but I know he loves his son dearly) (and a son).... so that must be a big stress also.
I think his assessment of our country (USA) was pretty right on.... others might not, so I guess we will just wait and see.
But he is not the only one, who mentioned our top brass cannot sleep at night, for what they know ( esp. about China).
Thank you so much for posting that, I somehow missed it. I pray daily ( several times a day and night really for Israel)... that video only encouraged me to continue.
Sometimes, I am sad to say, I have moments, when I have almost totally given up on my own country. I 'know' I have to pray for those in charge, even IF ( I guess) I see them leading us to complete destruction.... or as I sometimes think, we are already there.
I don't think we are very much the 'UNITED" states, but more like, during the civil war, except, it's not the North vs the South.... but in every state, people are very divided.
I know...God's plan and timing...NOT mine....but I can still 'ask': even so, come Lord Jesus.
I just saw this whole country (USA) is under extreme weather.... even Fla. was 2 degrees below, so I guess we cannot complain about a mere 26 degrees.
Other states are waaaaaaaaay colder minus 30, 40, and even 50... I cannot image!!!!!!

She wants to buy a plot of land, and buy a couple of 'real' mini houses, and live in one and rent the others out to the homeless ( especially women with small children)
I understand that some folks hate the idea of giving an alcoholic money so they can eat because they might buy alcohol instead. I used to feel that way too. But then I realized that it's not my job to determine what others do with the money I give them. That's between them and God. When I give them money, I'm also giving them an opportunity to do the right thing. But whatever they do, is between them and God, not me. I'm not saying that we shouldn't use our money wisely when possible, but if the only way we can personally help the homeless is to give them money, then we should do so. It's also very possible that the person who seems to be an alcoholic isn't one. That happened to my son Chris. He had a cyst on his brain that would at times make his speech slur and cause him to be unable to walk normally. My oldest daughter was convinced he was drunk. But when I saw it happen, I knew he hadn't had anything to drink for a year, so I took him to a doctor. That's how I know it was caused by the cyst. After he died, my girlfriend called me and I told her about it. She shocked me by saying the same thing happened to her and people thought she was drunk too. The doctors were finally able to take care of the cyst and now she's back to normal. There are other possibilities too.
I think as a society that we're just too anxious to label others and judge them; especially others who are going through a hard time. (Like the homeless). It reminds me of what the Jews believed and may still believe. When Jesus was here they believed that if you were rich that meant God was pleased with you and you were headed to heaven; and that if something bad happened to you it was because of sin in your life and that God was angry with you because of it & was punishing you. That's why Jesus spoke the way He did in Luke 13:2–5 and one of the reasons He told told the parable the rich man and the beggar named Lazarus in Luke 16:19–31. Sounds a lot like the prosperity gospel to me, which people are eating up like they're starving. So of course they'd look down on alcoholics and the homeless and others going through a hard time. But you know what? God loves the homeless and the alcoholic and drug users too. I love this scripture that speaks about that: “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9–11)
But sadly most folks look down on them anyway, for one reason or another. I think it's mainly to make themselves look superior, at least partly because we feel superior. I know I used to. Now I try to remember that in every situation we have a choice to either make God look good or make ourselves look good and try to choose God over myself. What amazes me is how many choices we have every day... do we wash the dishes or leave them in the sink? Do we reply lovingly, or do we let our hurt show and tell them off, do we give money to that guy on the street, or tell ourselves we don't want to contribute to his alcoholism (as though God is powerless in that situation lol) Do we watch that movie/tv show or switch to something that isn't honoring sin and Satan? Do we pay our bills or use the money for something we want instead? Do we give to the Church or some godly institution or use the money for ourselves? and on and on it goes, every day.
That's great you talk to that woman. Most people won't even talk to someone who's homeless. It's like they're afraid it's catching! Your town uses the excuse of being a tourist town, but that's true just about everywhere. But even when it's not true, every town finds some excuse to ignore the homeless. I look at all the empty homes and buildings...places that have been empty for many, many years. Some more than 20 years. Why not give them to the homeless to stay in? One thing that really angers me is that many of the homeless are our Veterans, who fought for our country and now have nowhere to live - mainly because the government doesn't pay them enough to live on! But that's always been true for the enlisted men.

Good day, yes I agree with what you said Cindy, I pray for people who keep getting kicked to the curb by the same judgement from others over and over again, hopefully they have time alone with the Lord who can heal them, I pray people take time alone with the Lord and pray without ceasing. It is difficult surviving on this earth, until the day we die and we can't know it all on our own we need help and the Lord will teach through the Word or through another person. I heard a person say, " It is now not time for me to glow it is time for me to grow." and that is how I feel about myself also.

That was absolutely beautiful what you wrote Cindy!! I agree, when we give money, it is between God and them. And in 23 degree weather, I do believe a lot will go get some food and a hot drink at McDonald's, and so....
There is another group ( well several) that are homeless, and not always a drinker of a drug addict. Sometimes a woman might marry ( or live with) a man, have several children, and then, he decides to go with a 'newer' 'prettier' 'thinner' etc. woman.
In some cases, she just is truly not able to work ( maybe severe health reasons etc)
Not to mention she might have a: one year old, and a two year old, and a three year old, and a five year old. etc.
In other words, several very young children.
He is gone, and she has no other family, cannot pay the rent.... and now, she and her children, are on the streets.
Mandy, the woman that comes to do canning here, is truly one of the hardest working person I have seen.
She seems to be canning from sun up even until 10 or later at night.
She wears plastic gloves, and cleans the whole area
( because she goes thru the garbage with a fine tooth comb). She leaves zero mess,
and asked permission from our landlord first.
We do save bottles for her, as does our daughter, but other people usually don't bother to separate the recyclables...
Some of the folks here, once they get to know her, will come out with a bag of bottles if they see her.
But I am reminded:
there but for the grace of God, go I!!
and.... I want to do unto others, as I would wish, they would do to me.
However, she is a sweet, kind, smart, human I am at a loss how she got homeless... yes she did do drugs ( but a lot of folks do and many are not homeless)
it 'seems' to me, that she is clean now, or.... almost totally.
We have a guy friend who was homeless for years we have known him for 12 or more years and he has paid his rent etc. all that time. He does window washing, and canning etc. He does get some financial aid as well.

ME: Okay!!! A ton of news I will try to cull some of it, but still, may have to do 2 posts starting with yesterday ( went to bed very early sooooo) and also news for today...so far. ~~~~~~
Centcom
announced that the Houthis launched a ballistic missile yesterday at the American warship USS Laboon, and an aircraft that was in the air successfully shot it down. There were no casualties and no damage was caused. ~~~~~~
PHOTOS:
Sagiv Yechezkel , an Israel football player that plays for a Turkish team, was taken for questioning after dedicating his goal to the hostages held by Hamas for 100 days.
Three police officers came to his house and detained him for questioning for incitement.
Prime Minister Netanyahu was informed about it during a government meeting. ~~~~~~~~
Amir's Words:
Jesus told his Jewish disciples to take the gospel to the whole world, beginning with Jerusalem then Judea and Samaria.
No one called it “West Bank” or “Palestinian” territory simply because there are no Arabs in the land!
This group of often frightened and discouraged people couldn’t do this task before they were equipped with the game changing weapon: THE HOLY SPIRIT!
So, being a Jew isn’t enough and being a “Palestinian” isn’t even real.
The real question is : Do you have the Holy Spirit?
For that my friend, you must be first born again! ~~~~~~~
Reports in Turkey say that the footballer Sagiv Yechezkel is expected to meet a judge who will rule regarding his actions on the field.
There are efforts in Israel to bring about his release. Right now he is jailed and his cellular phone was taken from him. Turkey is a very dangerous place for Israelis nowadays! ~~~~~~~~
3 VIDEOS:
Part of the destruction in the steppes of the volcano eruption in the Grindavik area in Iceland. ~~~~~~~~~
A Washington Post report:
The US Navy Seal tried to board a boat suspected of carrying Iranian weapons to the Houthis in Yemen on Thursday while there were rough seas in the Gulf of Aden near the coast of Somalia. Due to the high waves, he slipped on the ladder and fell into the water, and his friend dived after him in an attempt to locate him - and since then their traces have been lost ~~~~~~~~
I will start a new post for today's news ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oslo Norway yesterday - a rally in support for Israel marking the 100th day to the war. ~~~~~~~~~
The Israeli football player Sagiv Yehezkel was released by the Turkish court and is being deported to Israel. ~~~~~~~~
11 casualties so far in a terror attack in Ra’anana near Tel Aviv involving car ramming and stabbing of Jews by Palestinian terrorists. ~~~~~~ 7 VIDEOS:
Initially, this attack was though to be a lone terrorist who stole a car from a driver, stabbed her and started running over people, then got stuck in a fence, stole another car and continued the attack. ~~~~~~~
This is definitely a terror attack as stabbing is involved here as well. 17 wounded are reported. One old lady succumbed to her injuries and died ~~~~~~
Two residents of Bnei Naim/Yitir arrived with knives, broke into vehicles, stabbed the drivers, and started driving over the citizens in several locations in Ra'anana. One of the terrorists is still at large! ~~~~~~~
Some of the injured in the serious attack in Ra'anana are youth returning from school.
~~~~~~~~
VIDEO:
The Philippines stands with Israel ~~~~~~~~~~~
BREAKING: Terrorists from Syria recently launched rockets towards the Golan region. ~~~~~~
British Maritime Trade Organization:
A missile hit a ship 95 nautical miles southeast of Aden.
Houthi military source: A missile we launched hit a ship that was on its way to Israel.
Reuters: The ship the Houthis hit is an American-owned oil tanker. ~~~~~
Yemen: A report of an American attack near Hodeidah International Airport. ~~~~~
The British government:
The Islamist organization "Hizb al-Tahrir", which is among the organizers of the Palestinian protests throughout the UK, "is a terrorist organization", and "is therefore outlawed.” ~~~~~~~
This is unbelievable:
South Africa is planning to take the U.S. and UK to the International Court of Justice for “assisting to a genocide”. ~~~~~~
PHOTO:
An end to the saga: the football player Sagiv Yehezkel landed in Israel.
A reminder: his crime was that he had on his hand bandage the writing: 100 days to 7/10
Do you know why none of the football associations came to his defense?
Because they are all corrupt and get bribery from Qatar, the main funding power of Hamas and the owners of the propaganda arm of Hamas - “Al-Jazeera”.
Photo: Moti Pashkatsky, the Sports Channel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BREAKING! ISRAELI STRIKE IN ALEPPO SYRIA! ~~~~~~~
Sirens 🚨 in the American consulate in Irbil, Iraq! At least 5 explosions were heard near the building. ~~~~~~~ The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced
that they attacked with ballistic missiles "spy headquarters of anti-Iranian terrorist organizations" in Erbil in Iraq
Also a VIDEO:
Let it sink - it’s not the militias - Iran itself attacked American targets ~~~~~~~~~~~
It's snowing again today and is supposed to get nasty so we changed our appointments to tomorrow instead. Speaking of which, I still need to call the lawyer and tell him...I almost forgot...
Thank you all for your replies on what I posted. When I finished it, I almost deleted it thinking no one would care to read it. But decided to leave it so that at least you'd know I was still alive. It sounds like we all think alike which is pretty neat!
I'm glad we had to change our appointments as I didn't get much sleep at all last night. I don't feel like doing much of anything although I'll have to do my chores around the house anyway.
I posted another thread for us in End times for any weather related news, so please feel free to add to it anytime you see anything weather related ok?
OK, I'm going to go bug my husband, feed the cats and chill for a bit before I have to clean stuff.
