For now with conditions Germany releases aid for Palestinians The German Development Ministry announced releasing €71 million ($75.8 million) in aid as part of an ongoing review of its support for Palestinians, and pledged a further €20 million in new funding. Berlin had temporarily suspended its development aid to Palestinian territories pending review following the Hamas terror attack on southern Israel on October 7. "Due to the fragile situation in the region, the review has not yet been fully completed," a statement from the ministry said. However, the ministry said the review has focused on continuing support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). It cited the needs of the people in Gaza and the increasingly unstable situation in neighboring countries. The funding is set to be used particularly for providing drinking water to displaced people in Gaza and Palestinian refugees in Jordan. UNRWA said on Tuesday that some 70% of the population in the Gaza Strip — amounting to 1.5 million people — has been displaced since the beginning of the conflict with Israel. UNRWA spokesperson: 'We need humanitarian access' Belgium says Israeli attacks on Gaza 'disproportionate' Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo told reporters after meeting Jordan'sKing Abdullah in Brussels that both Israel and Hamas "disregard international humanitarian law." "Bombing down a refugee camp because it allegedly houses one Hamas leader is completely disproportionate," he said. "It is never acceptable that so many civilian casualties are caused trying to eliminate one person. "Civilians and civilian places must be protected, but of course Hamas cannot use them as a shelter either because that only complicates matters," the prime minister said. De Croo added that Hamas should release the more than 240 innocent hostages they have held since the October 7 terror attacks as soon as possible, saying it could be an important part of halting the "spiral of violence." www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-netanyahu-open-to-tactical-little-pauses/live-67323956

They still telling people get out of Dodge Israel again tells civilians in northern Gaza to move south The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) gave Gaza residents who were still in the north of the enclave a four-hour window to move to the south on Tuesday. The IDF said "thousands" of people were passing through an evacuation corridor they had opened for civilians. According to Reuters and The Associated Press news agencies, residents escaping along the route said they passed tanks in position to possibly begin storming Gaza City, home to around a third of the Palestinian enclave's 2.3 million people. www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-netanyahu-open-to-tactical-little-pauses/live-67323956

More foreigin nationals are getting out of NOWWW Baerbock says 30 more German nationals leave Gaza German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Tuesday that more than 30 additional German passport holders and their family members left the Gaza Stripon Monday. In total, more than 50 German nationals have left the besieged Palestinian territory through the Rafah border crossing to Egypt since the Israel-Hamas war started on October 7. The evacuation of German citizens marked "a small glimmer of hope," she said. Baerbock made the announcement after arriving in Tokyo for a two-day meeting with her G7 counterparts, who are set to discuss the situation in Gaza, among other topics. The top German diplomat said she repeatedly pressed for other G7 foreign ministers to back a humanitarian pause of fighting in Gaza to allow the delivery of supplies to civilians caught in the fighting. People in Gaza are in need of water, bread and medical care, Baerbock said, "and the most seriously injured must finally be treated." www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-netanyahu-open-to-tactical-little-pauses/live-67323956

Lebanon is being tricky here US envoy visits Lebanon, says stemming conflict's spread of 'utmost importance' A senior advisor to US President Joe Biden, Amos Hochstein, made an unannounced trip to Beirut on Tuesday for talks with Lebanon's parliament speaker and caretaker prime minister. Hochstein told reporters after meeting Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri that restoring calm along Lebanon's southern border was of "utmost importance." "The United States does not want to see conflict in Gaza escalating and expanding into Lebanon," Hochstein said in a brief statement. He did not take questions from reporters. His comments came as the Israeli military and the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia exchanged fire along the border, calling their respective actions retaliation for other incidents. Sporadic exchanges of fire across the border have been more or less common since soon after Hamas' October 7 terror attack on Israel. They have also intensified since Israel's ground operations in Gaza began. But at the same time, both sides have so far avoided a larger-scale flare-up in fighting. Canada, France update on citizens leaving Gaza The French and Canadian foreign ministries issued updates on their citizens leaving the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. France's Foreign Ministry said that more than 100 of their nationals and their dependents had left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing to Egypt. "Two groups of French nationals, officials and rights holders were able to leave" on Monday and Tuesday, the ministry said in a statement. The departures "bring the number of exits organized by France to more than 100 people," it added. It said such operations would continue in the coming days so that all French citizens who wish to leave are able to do so. The Rafah crossing to Egypt first opened to foreign citizens and the injured last week. It had been closed over the weekend, but was then reopened once more on Monday. www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-netanyahu-open-to-tactical-little-pauses/live-67323956

That sucks 9 minutes ago9 minutes ago UNRWA says 89 aid workers dead in conflict, most in UN's history The UN's relief agency for the Palestinian Territories, UNRWA, said in its update on the conflict on Tuesday that another of its aid workers was killed and another seriously injured in the past 24 hours. It said that 89 UNRWA colleagues had been killed and at least 26 injured since the outbreak of hostilities. "This is the highest number of United Nations aid workers killed in a conflict in the history of the United Nations," it said in the update. UNRWA said this week that almost 1.5 million people in Gaza in total had been displaced amid the conflict — equivalent to about 70% of its population. Roughly half of those were sheltering at severely overcrowded UNRWA facilities, often schools, it said. It said at least 50 such facilities had been "impacted" since the conflict's outbreak, and said that one displaced person was killed and nine more injured in one such facility in the north of Gaza on Monday after it was "directly hit by strikes." www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-netanyahu-open-to-tactical-little-pauses/live-67323956

Another bloody day in Gaza 'War crimes' in Gaza and Israel, Palestinian death toll climbs, Blinken opposes Israeli reoccupation UN expert denounces 'war crimes' in Gaza and Israel Israel's widespread bombing of homes and civilian sites in Gaza and the indiscriminate firing of rockets by Hamas are "war crimes", an independent United Nations expert said on Wednesday. Israeli strikes have destroyed or damaged 45% of homes in the Palestinian territory, detailed Balakrishnan Rajagopal in a press release, saying this destruction had an "enormous cost in human lives". The UN Special Rapporteur stressed that the targeting of residential areas is strictly prohibited under international law. *Palestinian death toll climbs ** Gaza's health ministry announced on Wednesday that 10,569 people had been killed in Israeli bombardments since the war began on 7 October. The number of dead includes 4,324 children and 2,823 women, the ministry added. Blinken says Israel must not 'reoccupy' Gaza The US Secretary of State urged Israel on Wednesday to not "re-occupy" the Gaza Strip after the current conflict with Hamas, following a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Japan. Israel's key ally, the United States has already said it opposes a possible reoccupation of Palestinian territory after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Monday his country would take "responsibility for security" in Gaza. To achieve "lasting peace and security" in the region, Antony Blinken said Washington believes it is necessary to prevent "the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza", while stopping the territory from "being used as a platform for terrorism". www.euronews.com/2023/11/08/israeli-troops-in-heart-of-gaza-city-us-warns-against-gaza-occupation-cemeteries-now-full

Israel’s Ambassador to Spain, Rodica Radian-Gordon, said in a Wednesday post on social media, “Our hearts are broken by the news of the brutal murder of Iván Illarramendi. He has been identified a month after the terrorist massacre committed by Hamas in Israel.” An Israeli embassy spokesperson told CNN, “He was found in Israel. He was murdered on October 7. Acting Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez posted on social media that he was “heartbroken” by Illarramendi’s death, adding that “the Spanish government reiterates its condemnation of the terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7.” Sanchez had publicly identified Illarramendi on October 17, during a news conference in Madrid, when he called “for the immediate release, without conditions, of all of the hostages, under Hamas’s control, including our compatriot Ivan Illarramendi.” Illarramendi was still considered missing at the time. Well today start Today there going have 4 hour of pause fighting Israel agrees to four-hour 'pauses' in fighting to let Hamas hostages out, White House announces as Biden says there's NO chance of a ceasefire The White House says Israel has agreed to four-hour daily humanitarian pauses in its assault on Hamas in northern Gaza to get hostages out. National Security Spokesman John Kirby confirmed the windows will be announced three hours in advance and will begin today. The move was announced as President Joe Biden said he had bleak hopes for a long-term ceasefire in Gaza and Israeli troops engaged in brutal street warfare with Hamas. Fighting has intensified in the 34 days since Hamas' brutal October 7 attack, and tensions in the region have sparked attacks on American forces by Iranian-backed proxies. Biden also warned he was prepared to order more airstrikes in the Middle East in retaliation for attacks on U.S. troops. The president said he dispatched two F-15s to attack Iranian Revolutionary Guard weapons depots in Syria because 'they struck us'. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12730655/Israel-agrees-four-hour-pauses-fighting-let-Hamas-hostages-White-House-announces.html

Really sad more people are dying Gaza death toll rises to 10,812: Hamas-run Health Ministry The death toll in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been under heavy Israeli bombardment for over a month, has risen to 10,812, Hamas' health authorities in Gaza said. The death toll includes 4,412 children, the Gaza Health Ministry said. Some 26,905 more individuals have been injured, it added. The conflict in Gaza followed the October 7 Hamas terror attacks on Israel, which Israel says left more than 1,400 dead. The militant group also captured some 240 people as hostages. Israel, the US, Germany and the EU have listed Hamas as a terrorist organization. Aid coming in through Rafah 'blatantly inadequate,' UNRWA chief says The volume of aid coming into the besieged Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing with Egypt is "blatantly inadequate," said Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the United Nations Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA). This came off BBC world news IDF got video of some of hostage may be alive Israel sees 'sign of life' in Gaza hostage video The armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group has posted videos of two Israeli hostages held in Gaza. The group said it was prepared to release a 77-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy for humanitarian and medical reasons, but only if "appropriate measures" were met. Israel described the videos as an important sign of life, but declined to say whether they would be released. That would play into the captors' "psychological terror", it said. In the video, the two hostages are seen addressing the camera. The woman, Hanna Katsir, a woman in her 70s, is seen sitting in a wheelchair. She was abducted from kibbutz Nir Oz on 7 October, when Hamas attacked Israel. The second is a teenage boy from the same community. Both hostages sharply criticise Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. It is unclear whether they are reading from a script. Like I say it was bloody night in Gaza Israel agrees to 'breaks' in fighting, food running out in Gaza, war devastates Palestinian economy Israel agrees to pauses in northern Gaza The Israeli army has agreed to observe breaks of a few hours each day in the north of the Gaza Strip, to allow Palestinian civilians to flee. “A ceasefire with Hamas means a surrender,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeated on Thursday evening on the Fox News channel. Israel, however, agreed to make daily humanitarian pauses from Thursday to allow civilians to flee the north - where fighting is raging - towards the south of the territory, according to the United States. These "breaks" "of four hours in certain areas of the north of the Gaza Strip, will be announced three hours in advance", said White House spokesperson John Kirby. He said Washington has received assurances that "there would be no military operations in these areas for the duration of the pause". The Israeli army opened "an evacuation corridor" on Sunday, but Palestinians have testified to persistent fighting along this road used by 100,000 people since Wednesday, according to figures from the Israeli army. Food running out in Gaza Hundreds of thousands of refugees are crowded in south Gaza, facing increasingly disastrous conditions. “We have no water, no toilets, no bakery,” said Oum Alaa al-Hajin, who found refuge in al-Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younes, after walking for days. “We have a loaf of bread every three or four days, and we have to wait in line for several hours.” According to OCHA, the number of displaced people in Gaza now stands at 1.6 million out of a population of 2.4 million. In the north, where hundreds of thousands of people still remain, "the lack of food is increasingly worrying", said the UN, which says it has been unable to provide assistance for eight days. Yeah blame it on Hamas HELLO! Devastating economic collapse in Gaza, says UN A new UN report paints a stark picture of how the Palestinian economy has collapsed after a month of war and Israel’s near-total siege of Gaza. The gross domestic product shrank 4% in the West Bank and Gaza in the war’s first month, pushing more than 400,000 people into poverty. Such a severe economic impact was unseen in the conflicts Syria and Ukraine, or any previous Israel-Hamas war, the UN said. The rapid assessment of the economic consequences of the war released Thursday by the UN Development Program and the UN Economic and Social Commission for West Asia was the first UN report showing the devastating impact of the conflict especially on the Palestinians. If the war continues for a second month, the international organisation predicts that Palestine's GDP, which was $20.4 billion (€19.1bn) before the war began, will drop by 8.4% — a loss of $1.7 bn (€1.6bn). www.euronews.com/2023/11/10/israel-agrees-to-breaks-in-fighting-food-running-out-in-gaza-war-devastates-palestinian-ec

Well that report right now Poll suggests most Israelis want to negotiate for hostages but continue fighting From CNN’s Richard Allen Greene in Jerusalem An increasing number of Israelis say their country should immediately begin negotiations with Hamas for the release of hostages held in Gaza – but should continue fighting while negotiating, a new survey out Friday suggests. Nearly four out of 10 Israelis (38%) expressed the opinion in a survey by the Viterbi Family Center for Public Opinion and Policy Research at the Israel Democracy Institute. That’s a rise from 32% saying Israel should negotiate while fighting when the survey was last conducted about two weeks earlier. Another 22% – about one in five – said Israel should not negotiate at all to trade Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails for hostages. One in 10 (10%) said Israel should negotiate only when the fighting is over, while about one in five (21%) said Israel should begin negotiations immediately, even if it meant halting the fighting. The survey of 606 men and women was carried out online and by phone on November 5-6, 2023. Some 502 interviews were in Hebrew and 104 were in Arabic. The margin of error on the full sample is four points. Hezbollah and IDF cross-border skirmishes continue Friday, Lebanese state-run media says Cross-border skirmishes between the militant group Hezbollah and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue Friday, Lebanon's state-run NNA news reported. According to NNA news, Israeli artillery fire near the Lebanese towns of Ramiya and Bayt Lif and Israeli drones over the eastern sector of the Israel-Lebanon border were reported Friday morning. Later Friday, Hezbollah claimed it struck Israeli troops in the eastern sector — which was followed by Israeli artillery strikes in the area where that attack was launched, according to NNA. Hezbollah also reportedly targeted the Israeli town of Metula with a guided missile, and Israel responded with artillery, according to NNA. edition.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/israel-hamas-war-gaza-news-11-10-23

They think that hospital they hit with rocket might be Hamas terrorist MIGHT BE US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday gave one of his most direct condemnations of the civilian death toll in Gaza. “Far too many Palestinians have been killed. Far too many have suffered these past weeks,” Blinken said at a press availability in the Indian capital of New Delhi. He added that more needs to be done to “minimize harm to Palestinian civilians.” Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces announced a six-hour long window Friday for an evacuation corridor along Salah Eddin Street for people to flee south from northern Gaza. These are some of the latest developments: Hospital "completely surrounded": The director of a hospital in northern Gaza has warned that the medical center is completely surrounded by tanks, making it impossible to leave. Mustafa al-Kahlout, who heads Al Nasr hospital and Al Rantisi pediatric hospital, urged for an evacuation of the doctors and patients inside as fighting intensifies. Al-Shifa Hospital: Several social media videos are showing people injured in what was described as the outpatient clinic of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. It’s unclear what struck the hospital, but the videos show injured people lying on the ground of the outdoor clinic. Witnesses in the videos said it was due to strikes on the area. CNN could not verify potential strikes and has reached out to the Israel Defense Forces. "Nowhere in Gaza is safe": The top United Nations human rights official on Friday raised doubts over Israel’s unilateral establishment of “safe zones” in Gaza, saying that nowhere within the territory was safe for civilians. “Demands for civilians to relocate to an Israeli Defense Force(s)-designated ‘safe zone’ are also very alarming,” UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said during a news conference in Amman, Jordan. Israeli attacks in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 11,025 Palestinians since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah, which draws its figures from the Hamas-controlled health ministry in Gaza. CNN cannot independently verify these numbers. Six-hour evacuation corridor: The Israel Defense Forces on Friday announced a six-hour-long window for an evacuation corridor along Salah Eddin Street for people to flee south from northern Gaza. The corridor, it said, would be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time (3 a.m. ET to 9 a.m. ET). Thousands of Gazans have fled south in recent days, according to the Israeli government and the United Nations. Tel Aviv rocket interception: A CNN team in Tel Aviv on Friday witnessed about 10 interceptions by Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system of rockets edition.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/israel-hamas-war-gaza-news-11-10-23
