Well Sky news reporting this exclusively A debris field has been discovered within the search area by a remotely operated underwater vehicle near the Titanic, the US Coast Guard has said. "Experts within the unified command are evaluating the information," a statement on Twitter added. A news conference to discuss the findings is scheduled to take place at 8pm UK time tonight. The debris field was found by a remotely operated vehicle deployed by Horizon Arctic, a Canadian vessel. The ROV, which is equipped with cameras and sonar, had successfully managed to reach the sea floor. Sky's US correspondent James Matthews, reporting from Boston, described the updated statement as "significant". He added: "The word 'debris' doesn't sound good at all in a situation and at a depth where the water pressure is huge. "It can do considerable damage to vessels - the l news.sky.com/story/debris-field-discovered-within-search-area-near-titanic-us-coast-guard-says-12906735

They find missing pieces of submarine Key Finding In Titanic Exploration Sub Search Announced National News Key Finding In Titanic Exploration Sub Search Announced By Jason Hall Jun 22, 2023 Search for Titanic submersible continues after undersea noises detected Photo: Getty Images A debris field was discovered by a remote-operated vehicle in the search for a submersible that vanished during its mission to explore the wreckage of the Titanic, the United States Coast Guard's Northeast branch announced on Thursday (June 22). "A debris field was discovered within the search area by an ROV near the Titanic. Experts within the unified command are evaluating the information," the agency tweeted. OceanGate Expeditions' 'Titan' sub was reported to only have 96 hours of oxygen and exceeded that total as of 7:08 a.m. ET on Thursday. Five people were reported to be onboard a submersible and later identified as Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate Expeditions; French diver Paul-Henri Nargeloet; British billionaire Hamish Harding, the owner and chairman of Action Aviation; Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, Suleman Dawood. On Wednesday (June 21), a reported "banging" sound in the search for the missing submersible led to a "cause for hope," according to Richard Garriott, president of The Explorers Club. DUH Obviously Titan 'might have imploded under immense pressure' A former commander says the nature of the US Coast Guard's announcement "suggests this debris is in some way connected with the Titan". Sir James Burnell-Nugent, former Commander-in-Chief Fleet of the Royal Navy, explained: "There is of course a large debris field around the Titanic - and the various things we've seen retrieved from the Titanic have come from the debris field. It covers several hectares. "But I think if this was Titanic debris, the Coast Guard would have made a distinction in the announcement. I think on balance this is probably grim news and suggests the Titan might have imploded under the immense pressure of the seawater while it was on its way down." He added that the use of the term "debris field" suggests there's more than the two items of debris already discussed. Sir James was responding to an expert and friend of the passengers who told Sky News the debris found in the search for Titan was a "landing frame and rear cover" from the sub. The former Commander-in-Chief Fleet of the Royal Navy said: "I'd go a bit further than him - the fact the Coast Guard used the expression debris field suggests actually that there's quite a lot more than those two items." He said the two items - the frame and fairing - would have "told the people operating the ROV that they've got the right wreckage". He added that the use of the expression debris field suggests "there will be other smaller bits of debris lying around in the same vicinity." He added that we have to wait until we get more inform news.sky.com/story/titanic-submarine-missing-live-updates-submersible-cannot-be-opened-from-inside-time-running-out-on-oxygen-supply-waiver-mentions-death-three-times-12905748#6086891

That does not sound good! So sad. Apparently the CEO of the sub company ( it's on video) said, he did not want 50 year old white men to be hired....they would not be 'inspiring'.
Apparently, being woke was more important than years of knowledge and expertise.
Also they had an expert give a complete exam of the sub, and he said a bunch of tests should be done first...
they immediately fired him and gave him 10 minutes to clear out.
It seems like maybe this was an accident just waiting to happen! So sad, saying prayers for them.

MAN UK Daily mail been busting the company behind this tragedy big time REVEALED: OceanGate took out nearly $450,000 in PPP loans and used the pandemic business stoppage to improve the doomed Titan sub's hull after tests found it was too weak OceanGate, the company that owned and operated the submersible that imploded on a dive to the Titanic wreck, received $447,000 in government loans under the Paycheck Protection Program, records show. The government loan was issued in April 2020, during the first round of the emergency pandemic program, and was used to cover OceanGate's payroll costs during COVID-19 shutdowns, according to records published by ProPublica. The full amount of the loan was ultimately forgiven under the terms of the program, which required companies to use the funds for the stated purpose and abstain from layoffs. Records show OceanGate had 22 employees at the time. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12227079/OceanGate-took-nearly-450-000-PPP-loans-pandemic.html
