Protesters dance in front of crowds

While protests started to turn ugly earlier today, in some areas they seem to be calming down.

In a road in Paris, swathes of demonstrators have started dancing to GALA's hit song, Freed From Desire.

Following a truck carrying placards and banners from members of the New Ecological and Social People's Union, the protesters sang, jumped and waved flags as they moved through the street.

They were met by rounds of applause and cheers as the next song started to play, and crowds threw their fists in the air.
