Suspended for 'Racial Insensitivity'
after Quoting Bible Passage

Texas Tech has suspended men’s basketball coach Mark Adams
for what the school is calling an
“inappropriate, unacceptable, and racially insensitive comment.”
Adams spoke with Jeff Goodman of Stadium
and related that he believes his comments were not racist.
Adams claims he was quoting a Bible verse
when he told one of his players that there is
“always a master and a servant.”
“I was quoting the scripture,” he said.
Athletic director Kirby Hocutt was made aware of the incident.
He issued Adams a written reprimand
but then
made the decision
to suspend the coach
to conduct a “more thorough inquiry of Adams’ interactions with his players and staff.”

Well I think I know what people react on this people who don't know Bible would find it offensive jury is out was player a offended that question I asking which NCAA is most African American demograpic on basketball I could understand could take offensive

There is a reason there is a chain of command in politics, the military, business, marriage etc.
It does not mean the one who is responsible is 'greater' or even more intelligent, although that could also be true.
However it may have to do with the fact, the parent, boss,principal, dean,CEO, general, president etc. has had more years of experience.
God is the ultimate Lord and King and master
in church the Pastor has to make the final decision,
but he will be judged and held accountable with greater severity if he messes up!
A husband may not be as intelligent as his wife, so he consults with her before making any final family decision.
But you cannot have 10 people, with 10 differing ideas,
all pulling in different directions,
and expect to get anything done.
Should the one year old child make all the decisions?
Should the wife rule over the husband...
of course they talk it out together, pros and cons,
but the final decision has to be made...
A coach can consult with the players....
but he has to make the final call
he has been 'playing' for years
he has tons of experience
they may have been playing all of one month
Jesus said:
the greatest among you shall be your servant.
Matthew 23:11
And really...
Many many people today
would take offense at any scripture
anything from the Bible
They want to be FREE!
They want to be 'ME"
I did it MY way....
don't tell me what to do or how to do it!!!!
I am not your servant!
they don't want anyone telling them what to do
they don't want to hear they are sinners
They hate God
Christians
the Bible
and they will take offense no matter what!
They will demand you keep your 'religion' to yourself
Yet you must bow to their every command, as their servant
in fact, you can only speak the words they demand,
only think the thought they command
and
they do not see the irony of that.
Being a servant in God's economy is not what the world thinks
Jesus washed the disciples feet
a very lowly servant's job
and then
he became an even greater servant
and died for us.
Slavery has been in the world almost from the beginning of mankind
it is one of the cruelest ways of man kind...
And yet...
people ONLY think of slavery in America
However, Thomas Sowell a brilliant black historian
points out that during the history of slavery,
during the 200 years in our country
Twice as many whites and blacks were sent as slaves to Muslims countries
as those going to America....
The Jews were slaves in Egypt for 400 years
and yet, nobody thinks Egypt ought to give reparations to the Jews today.
He also pointed out, when the slave trade was heading west to our country
no white person went into Africa and rounded up blacks
those who tried it lived exactly one week... dying of malaria etc etc.
No, it was black tribes of Africa that rounded up weaker black tribes
None of it was excusable
However no other country in history fought a war to free slaves
only USA
and tons of whites gave their lives fighting to free the slaves
during the civil war.
Has anyone ever given thanks to all those men who died
to free the black slaves
they died
they left wives, children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters etc.
they gave up their lives and they did NOT own any slaves!
I have never heard of it... if they did!
no one alive in USA today is a slave
nor
is anyone one is a slave owner
Not all whites were slave owners back then
not many in the North
and not even all southerns owned slaves
not all Southerners had plantations and grew cotton
Some had stores, some were teachers, some were doctors
so sewed, some were cooks, etc.
But the real point is
Today they are going after Christians
no matter what!
it is ramping up
Jesus said Christian would be HATED for His name sake!

Yeah tell that to Woke ESPN anchorpeople and Far left that probably go to that Campus full time just saying I am Basketball fan you go be very careful on campus

And you are right...now a person has to be careful...holding to one's Christian beliefs and biblical views!
