I finally realized that we were way overdue for a new thread so started a new one for us.
I know what you were talking about concerning MacArthur's church Kelly, but that's very old news and has been shown that the only people who think MacArthur did something wrong, and who lie about what happened or what was done in their articles are unbelievers. One of the worst is Julie Roys. She hates MacArthur and God and all true believers with a passion and her articles and videos show it. I sure hope you're not listening to her or anyone like her.

Was cold today with wind gusts up to 65 but warmer now at sunset, no wind, it's probably in NM now. We have ROKU and I have ignored it until recently I asked about it, I will have to check it out, don't know about Amazon Fire, probably should because I am a prime member.

I was wondering about why the Bible genealogy and I got an answer from a Christian man Robert Breaker that was talking about what I wondered, for an hour. The O T genealogy teaches that there is historical record of history. Then to read Mathew chapter 1 the genealogical record of Jesus Christ. There is no genealogy record of the Neanderthals.

Sorry guys, my eyes are hurting so much I can't think straight. Oh Marlene, that's true about the genealogies, but a pastor I had told me another purpose which I've always remembered when reading them. It shows us that the individual people (like us!) are very important to God. So important that He records their names in His Word. Not only that, but thinking of that makes me remember too that all our names (of those truly saved) are also in His book of life!

So Devon, our grandson, is an inch away from choosing to be homeschooled next year. He is 15 and a sophomore and a straight A student ( tho he is sad, upset, angry etc. about much of what they are being taught at school. He just parrots back what they expect...however he has recently taken to be a 'sneaky' Christian, and planting his own seeds of doubt in the teachers minds. He asks questions that sound perfectly normal, questions that any student might ask about evolution and the big bang etc etc.
But what has tipped the ice berg ( well several things...all the over the top sexual 'grooming' propaganda etc.
but this new thing is news to me and his mom
Is in order to graduate they MUST complete ( it's now, every 3 weeks, more or less) psychological testing.
When you look at the web site, it 'seems' sort of harmless...
but Devon spent about 45 mins with me yesterday, going over what it really is: the tests, his results... and we had hardly gotten started!
Here are a few quotes from the web site...trust me, it is waaaaaay worse then they present it:
"Naviance’s web-based software as a service platform provides students with a variety of features, including college research and matching tools, course planning, career assessment and personality tests, and surveys
to help students connect what they are doing in school to what they would like to do once they complete their education".
Actually it is more like AI communism...fitting human cogs in a wheel, based on faulty psych profiles!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naviance
here is another site...it sounds harmless also and even helpful...
but first of all
remember... even IF it were true....helpful and harmless,
you cannot graduate unless you are tested every month!
and of course, these tests will follow you everywhere! >:D
But when I saw some of the questions asked and the psych results It's a 'little' different than the promotion!
www.powerschool.com/classroom/naviance/
Devon is a straight A student, he never misses church, he does the camera for online streaming for one of the churches we go to....
and he was told by the tests... he has no 'feelings' ( among a ton of other psych evaluations)
hahaha
his mom and I had to laugh, because he had a lot of feelings about this!
As he told me this morning, he wouldn't mind overturning a few tables like Jesus did! Concerning this requirement! LOL
Sooooo Leonard and I 'might' be teachers next year.
Devon figured he might as well finish this year at school, since there is only a few months to go. and I have my job cut out.. .trying to figure out this homeschooling business!
But I would 'think' it would be illegal to force kids to be monthly required to do physiological testing...
under the threat of:
if they don't comply, they cannot graduate?

Thanks for telling us about that Barbara! I'll be sure to warn my daughter about it. Could you tell us what some of the questions were that were so upsetting? That way I'll be able to give my daughter more information.
Ok, this is just crazy! We've had very little snow all winter...until now...and the weather has been quite warm for us, usually anywhere from 35 to 55. Normally our winter consists of a lot of snow and a LOT of days way below 0. So far we've only had two days where it was below 0,... well until today anyway. When I woke up the actual temp was 6 below 0 and I slept in till 7:30. It's up to 17 now, so all is ok. Tomorrow the high will be close to 40, but at night it will drop down to 20. Like I said....crazy!
I finally remembered to post a prayer from the new books I got by David Clowes that you all liked so much years ago. Here's a link to the third page, but you'll have to scroll down to the last post.

I was tired also last night after spending a stressful day in town, but I did accomplish what I set out to accomplish, came home with a headache and it lasted the night and the dog decided to keep me awake. Well going now to listen to council of time archive, maybe I will fall asleep listening to that. A few days ago when that truck overturned with hazard material and shut down the highway, I was going to go to the city and would have been at that location at the time that happened but I chose not to go to the city that day.

Hello all,
I know long time no see. So much is going on these past few years and time just seems to get away from me. I know you know Chelsea adopted Gene. We (me, Stan, Chelsea, and Gene) bought some land and had a modular home put on it. All in all, its worked out well after working out a few bugs with everybody trying to fit together in one household. Stans health could be better, but it could be worse.
I switched jobs. I'm a housekeeper at the local hospital on 2nd shift. they got a new manager at the other place and unfortunately, she has really let the place get bad in terms of morale and working conditions. worked there for 11 years and the only thing she said when I gave my notice was "you can't give me more time?" no concern about why a loyal employee who worked there for so long was leaving. I just said "I've given you 11 years." The new job is Monday through Friday, its less work less stress and more money.
Chelsea is still teaching at the same school as the middle school English teacher. She absolutely loves it. She's got a real good team she works with.
Gene is in 9th grade already. I think his favorite class is either guitar or auto shop. lol
stan has finally retired for good and is now a stay at home husband.
This winter has been strange weather wise. we've hardly had any snow. In fact the last good snowstorm we had was a couple years ago in September when Lulu and Ron were here.
As always you all are in my prayers

It's good to see you Lee! I'm sorry things changed so much at your job so that you felt you had to leave. But I'm glad you found a place that was less stressful. Bruce is retired now too, and loves it!
Marlene, I'm so glad the Lord kept you from leaving that day so you'd be safe!
It's still snowing today and is 18 degrees at this time. Now they're is saying we could get another 8 inches of snow in a storm that's supposed to hit us on Monday and into Tuesday. Guess what the temp will be the day after the storm....46!!! Bruce reminded me of the saying, "In like a lamb and out like a lion", which sure seems to describe out winter weather this year!
