From the ends of the earth we hear songs, "Glory to the Righteous One," But I say, "Woe to me! Woe to me! Alas for me! The treacherous deal treacherously, And the treacherous deal very treacherously." Isaiah 24:16
While the righteous remnant sing praises, Isaiah knows that the treacherous and wicked men remain in the world... and so they do...to this very day.
We can and should, sing praises to our God, because He is worthy!!! But at the same time, we need to be aware, the battle is not yet over... we should not go to sleep, when we see a victory, here or there, The battle will be over one day, ( prayerful soon), in the future.
In fact, there is this coming:
Terror and pit and snare confront you, O inhabitant of the earth. Isaiah 24:17
The wicked need to know that destruction awaits them... it is impossible for them to escape God!!
Then it will be that he who flees the report of disaster will fall into the pit, And he who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the snare; For the windows above are opened, and the foundations of the earth shake. Isaiah 24:18
There is never any true escaping God this same idea is in Amos:
As when a man flees from a lion And a bear meets him; Or he goes home, leans his hand against the wall, And a snake bites him. Amos 5:19
Also seen in this verse in Jeremiah:
“Terror, pit and snare are coming upon you, O inhabitant of Moab,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 48:43
Note that it is God saying this! God is in control, this is not happening by 'chance'.
But as to the verse above in Isaiah 24:18, the calamities go from bad, to worse.
In the end sin and evil.... never pays!

The earth is broken asunder, The earth is split through, The earth is shaken violently. Isaiah 24:19
This sounds to me very much like end times ( First the tribulation period, I am thinking, and then perhaps even after Jesus's 1000 year reign). It will be a time of unparalleled massive earthquakes!
Even more pointing to 'the end times':
The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard And it totters like a shack, For its transgression is heavy upon it, And it will fall, never to rise again. Isaiah 24:20
What was once a fairly stable, dependable, reliable planet, is no longer. For earth to become like a staggering drunk, and a tottering shack, does not bode well... and, for it never to rise again, spells doom and the end.
So it will happen in that day, That the Lord will punish the host of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth. Isaiah 24:21
In 'that day', is always a phrase, that clues me to the future end times. God is going to deal with rebellious fallen angels, and rebellious, traitorous, defiant men.
They will be gathered together Like prisoners in the dungeon, And will be confined in prison; And after many days they will be punished. Isaiah 24:22
Their final place will be in Hell.

Then the moon will be abashed and the sun ashamed, For the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders. Isaiah 24:23
After Jesus's 1000 year reign, and the final judgment, God Himself, will replace the sun and the moon, and be the source of light.
This also points to the end times.... during the tribulation we read of the beginning of the end of the sun and the moon, as they are diminished in their light:
Then I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood. Revelation 6:12
Now Isaiah offers God more praise.
O Lord , You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. Isaiah 25:1
This is Isaiah's response to God's final judgment... God deserves all the praise.
I think we are seeing, (like birth pains), judgment from God in our day, getting stronger each day. However, as bad and sad as so many tragedies, which continue to multiply... they are not only increasing in the number of them, but in the intensity of them. we still haven't really seen anything yet, in comparison to what is coming.
Nevertheless, God is to be praised. He has warned us in His Word, what is coming, and today trials and tribulations, proves His Word is true.
For You have made a city into a heap, A fortified city into a ruin; A palace of strangers is a city no more, It will never be rebuilt. Isaiah 25:2
Isaiah does not tell us, in this verse which city specifically, however, Babylon is a good candidate. We know from God's word, that it will be destroyed:
AAnd another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality.” Revelation 14:8
The 'sexual immorality' reminds me of our country, ( and many other countries in the world), who are teaching children, even in kindergarten, all sorts of sexual depravity and perversions, in the name of tolerance for the LBGTQ+ people.
But it does not stop there, they are pushing very young children, to change their sex, cut off their body parts, take drugs for life to try and maintain a lie, that they can be whatever sex they choose, etc. etc.

Therefore a strong people will glorify You; Cities of ruthless nations will revere You. Isaiah 25:3
When Jesus reigns, even people from all over the world will worship Him.
For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall. Isaiah 25:4
Another reason God will be worshiped is He helps and defends the helpless.
The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. Psalms 28:8
Sadly way too often, the rich and powerful, do not feel any need for God, to their eternal detriment.
Like heat in drought, You subdue the uproar of aliens; Like heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the ruthless is silenced. Isaiah 25:5
By using a weather extreme, Isaiah shows God's protection. Too extreme heat can ( if unabated) can kill man, beast, and plants, but clouds bring the heat down.
The Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine. Isaiah 25:6 Jesus will host a great and sumptuous feast, for the believing remnant.
The two different wines reminds us of:
and said to him (Jesus), “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now. John 2:10
For me, I would much rather, the lesser, poorer, inferior things, first, (in this life), and have, for all eternity, the greater and the best.

I enjoyed reading your last 3 posts. I totally agree with what you said here:
That's how I feel too, but sadly, the vast majority of mankind, even including some who call themselves Christians, want it the other way around. They've don't want to believe that this world and everything in it is tainted and spoiled with sin, even the earth itself is. They don't have a problem with buying a house, jewelry, or cars they really can't afford, after all, they can always get more credit cards.

You are so sweet and kind, and encouraging! Thank you ever so much!
Sometimes, I wonder if I have overstepped my bounds when I write something sort of like that....
but I really really meant it! I find it so hard to believe that anyone would want what's in this world so much, that they 'might' forfeit: the love, peace, joy, provisions etc. etc. etc. of eternity in Heaven.... beyond what we could ever imagine.
Even 'IF' I would not have a thing in Heaven ( but I know the Lord will provide more than I can dream of)
but 'I'F I would get nothing... I would be blessed beyond measure, to be loved and with Jesus eternally!!!! I could just sit at His feet and bask in His love forever and ever and ever!!!! 'Anything' else... well, that will be great.
But this world is so sad, sick, totally depraved, evil, etc. it breaks my heart. I have been seeing some headlines (daily) that they just bring tears. People torturing people and animals. I just can't imagine how people can actually do such things. It's not that I haven't been a terrible sinner, and still sin.... but to deliberately torture someone, or even some animal....
I know it's been going on almost since the beginning... But then, how can someone's 'main' concern be, to get a beautiful mansion, a jet, a fleet of cars etc. It seems so cold.
Last thing.
I recently, saw a site, that showed the extravagant, extremely expensive homes of many of the rich and famous... I kept scrolling and scrolling, looking at them. and the more of them I saw the emptier and colder they seemed.
Yes, they had beautiful fine antiques, and the finest marble and a zillion rooms etc.
Each and every castle etc. did not look like a comfy warm peaceful home...
Each one I saw, was so 'perfect' it did not look like anyone lived there???
They were sooo eerie... Absolutely beautiful... but like frigid freezing cold ice.
If I had the money... I would NOT want to buy any one of them!
I would rather have a cottage. A place where children and pets, family, friends, etc. could feel free to come and put their feet up and relax. The only thing I could think of was: that maybe those mansions, might work if they were the home to, a ton of homeless, children, pets, etc.

I completely agree Barbara! We used to enjoy driving around and looking at other nice homes, but I see something entirely different now. Before I saw beautiful homes, now I see homes terribly contaminated with sin. And no matter how beautiful a home here is, I know that it's nothing but a shack compared to the homes in New Jerusalem. I've discovered that's true of all the things we generally "wish we had". They're all just so much trash in comparison with what the Lord has prepared for us.

And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations. Isaiah 25:7
What is covering all the people all over the world? Many things like evil, foolishness, superstitions, false religions, etc. etc. but even more to the point: sin and death.
You might say these things in a sense swallow up people, especially sin and death, but God will swallow those sad and horrific things, He will end them forever, and they will be no more.
As in this next verse:
He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 25:8
Jesus has swallowed up death for all believers. Yes, we may yet physically die, but we will get new bodies, and live forever with the Lord.
And frankly, I personally can't wait! I soooooo look forward to the day, when God will wipe away all tears.
What a joyful blessing that will be!
We still suffer many sorrows here. In fact, we can say with Paul, that in many ways, we 'die' daily!!! We die to self, but we also are physically dying, sometimes emotionally dying, and so on.
I affirm, brothers, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 1 Corinthians 15:31
Thankfully, Jesus never leaves,in our suffering, He walks thru the valley of suffering with us, whether we have any type of physical injury, or harm of any kind.
True sometimes He even removes them, but even IF He does not do so now, He will, in the future.
In the future not even sorrow or death will be allowed, we will be with the Lord forever! We can count on this, because God has said so!
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:55
Therefore:
And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation." Isaiah 25:9
It is sometimes hard not to be impatient for THAT day, but it is necessary to wait on His timing. Waiting is an act of trusting Him! God has the very best reasons for what seems like a delay for us. It may be that He is drawing some of our loved ones to Him. So tho, we may wish to go and be with Him....now, it is important and an act of love, to wait for others.
So we wait, tho we may have trials, tribulations, persecutions, and various calamities, these are only for a time, and then, never again.

For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, And Moab will be trodden down in his place As straw is trodden down in the water of a manure pile. Isaiah 25:10
The hand of the Lord resting on the mountain seems to be to encourage and comfort the godly, for His continuous protection.
Moab is a representative of the rest of the nations that are enemies of God, that will be trodden down and destroyed.
And he will spread out his hands in the middle of it As a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim, But the Lord will lay low his pride together with the skill of his hands. Isaiah 25:11
This is rather unusual wording, but perhaps meaning a slower destruction by God ( instead of a quick violent one), that may come from both sides?
The unassailable fortifications of your walls He will bring down, Lay low and cast to the ground, even to the dust. Isaiah 25:12
Moab had high, lofty, strong towers and walls, but they will not be of help when God judges. Rather they will be leveled to the ground and turned to dust.
In one sense this is a warning to counties and people today, who have great power, pride, and defenses, and therefore feel invincible. God can destroy their haughtiness in a moment.
What God said He would do in the past, He did... therefore, we can be sure, He will also do, in the future, what He says He will do.

Thank you Barbara, that was so interesting! I'd like to share what Wiersbe says about Isaiah 25:10–12, as I think you'll like it.
“The hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled under him as straw is trampled down in the manure. They will spread out their hands in it, as a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim. God will bring down their pride despite the cleverness of their hands. He will bring down your high fortified walls and lay them low; he will bring them down to the ground, to the very dust.” (Isaiah 25:10–12)
The imagery here is quite graphic: The Moabites are compared to straw trampled so deeply into manure that the people have to swim through the manure to get out! (See the NIV.) While the Jews are enjoying a feast of good things, the Moabites are trying to escape from the excrement of the animals the Jews are devouring! Moab was always known for its pride; but God will bring them low along with all the other nations that exalt themselves, exploit others, and refuse to submit to the Lord. Warren Wiersbe. Be Comforted

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security. Isaiah 26:1
There is the clue in the first 3 words: " In that day". So, in other words, 'in the future'. These words are pointing to the Messianic kingdom, in the millennium, when God's people will sing His praises. There will be 'real' peace and security. Their city of Jerusalem will be impregnable.
"Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful. Isaiah 26:2
Only the righteous redeemed may enter in.
"The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3
I like this verse so much, I just have to post several versions.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
and
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3
Our circumstances may not be peaceful, but rather they might be: chaotic, disorderly, confusing, etc. but if we remember, Jesus is with us, and He will never leave us, but He will go thru anything and everything, with us, we have a peace that passes understanding!
So those believers in the future, will also, have a peace, that unbelievers, and wicked sinners can never know.
Therefore:
"Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord , we have an everlasting Rock. Isaiah 26:4
An everlasting Rock, AKA the Rock of Ages.
No matter the trial, persecution, imprisonment, calamity, poverty, etc. We need to keep our minds stayed on God!
Many men are cruel, and evil, and might hurt us, or a loved one, but trust God....
Many men are depraved sinners, but there is a future, when God will end all our suffering.
Jesus has suffered greatly for our salvation, so He knows and understand our pain. We will have trials, and suffering in this life, but God will wipe away every tear.
Nevertheless, God can also, hide us from our enemies, we cannot demand it... He almost certainly has , already been, in our lives, a Rock of protection, more times than we know.

Thank you so much Cindy. I am still shaking my head at what I 'thought' 78 years meant....a rocking chair and sweet tea or more likely English tea...
But no, last night I was working on a physics test for Devon. Mind you...I never stepped a foot ( not even a toe) inside a physics class... no, I was busy heading for an art class!!
Nevertheless, : Newton's laws of motion and Maxwell's electromagnetic equations, the speed of light, and the paradox...
because both are correct, and yet they are contradictory ( we can't have A and not A....sigh.... that and more... just covered in chapter one, but fear not... in chapter two we will see how Einstein solved the paradox!
God must have a great sense of humor....me who hates anything math is now stuck at a ripe old age....having to muddle thru this quagmire.
Oh but thankfully Dr. Jason Lisle wrote this book for high school kids.... BUT... he forgot to mention, High schooler students, that were genius nerds like he was ahem!!!
So now my brain is really fried and I am not sure what I am writing anymore lolol.
I only mentioned about a 1000 times I was on the other end of the spectrum...art, literature, music, etc.
NOT
math and science!!!
Tho, I have always been intrigued... from a distance a very very very long distance away.

"For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust. Isaiah 26:5
It is a strange thing that many people's goal is to become rich.
I think a lot of people, ( at least at first), think then they will be safe, and secure, if they just have enough money. However, it seems to be 'almost' a rule, that however much money you have,or acquire, it is NEVER enough!!
But also with riches, then frequently, comes a thirst for power, and then follows: arrogance, haughtiness, pride, which grows with your income..... but your compassion, is lessening.
So it was also the case, back in the days of Isaiah. The rich were dwelling on high, but God brought them low and humbled them.
The city, no matter how lofty, built by human hands, cannot compare to what God 'builds'.
"The foot will trample it, The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the helpless." Isaiah 26:6 Those who were humble, and often very poor, will be exalted.
It reminds us of verses like:
“Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him, And tread down the wicked where they stand. Job 40:12
and
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Matthew 23:12
and
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
But this is what God will do in the future:
The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level. Isaiah 26:7
In a land that was often hilly, rocky etc. a rich man could ride upon his beast, while the poor person, who may not have even had any shoes, had a very tough and rough going.
Now the way would be straight, level and smooth for the poor.
For those with a tender heart, we might wish to make excuses for the wicked.
Maybe they were unable to learn? But no, it was because they did not want to know God, and because, they feared they would have to give up their sins.
So remembering this, let us not bemoan giving up our sins, and remain humble and not arrogant.

Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls. Isaiah 26:8
They rely on God's way, not human schemes. God is their guide, not politics, or science etc.
Many people can praise God when all is well, but a true believer knows that, even trials and tribulations, can be used by God for good, and thus, they wait eagerly for Him. ( And so do we!!) He was the desire of their souls (and ours).
He is not a dead God, and so we wait! Everything about our Savior is worthy of praise.
His name, memory, His Words etc. are so worthy, that it encourages us to wait patiently for Him. ( as they did back then).
At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9
The desire and longing for our Creator, is constant, even in the night, we constantly seek Him diligently!
However, it's a sad fact, that in general, when people are prosperous, they not only, do not seek God, but their wealth can often entice them to more and greater sins, because they have the means, to pursue them with abandon.
Therefore, God's judgments and punishments, are actually a blessing, in that, It can lead them to repentance and righteousness, that they otherwise, they would not have come to, on their own.
Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the Lord . Isaiah 26:10
Here in this verse, is a contrast between the believers and the wicked. When the wicked have been blessed with prosperity, and are rolling in 'dough' and they have every comfort, they do not feel grateful to God for His provisions. In fact, this kindness of God, has the tendency to allow them to become even worse sinners!
But, worst of all, they deliberately blind themselves, to the majesty of God!!! They arrogantly give themselves the glory, and say pompously things like: I am a self made man!
While in contrast, even in poverty, and all kinds of afflictions.....
the believers know, that even 'if', his or her situation shall not change.... God is great!!!
And He will, in eternity future, wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Even IF, they did not have one button to their name, they do not focus on, what they do not have... but rather, on what they do have!!!
They have the majestic God, as their Father! God who owns everything, and loves them, as His own children. Their poverty and afflictions are just temporary.

I can 't believe you're doing all of that! You obviously have had an excellent education though to be able to learn all that and to teach it too. That's amazing! I feel the same way you do about math though!
So true! We cannot make excuses for our sins or the sins of someone else. We all need to know when we sin so we can also know we need a savior, and so we can stop doing it in order to prevent being disciplined by God. And I loved your last post too! All I can say is, AMEN!

Thank you Cindy! I am guessing, I 'kinda, sorta' understand, more or... less, between 1/4 and 1/2 of what we have learned from the ahem! 1st chapter....
Devon was not pleased with himself tho, as he decided he only got a C on the first test, I gave him. I really think tho, that today was just not a good day all around for him. Some days are like that.
I just don't think he was focused....
But, in a way, we also got to talk about what areas he got wrong, so that cemented it more in his ( and my) mind.
So now we get to study chapter 2... where we are going to learn how Einstein solved the problem. I am ready tho for a Loooooong winter's nap instead.
But we had more fun this afternoon, learning more Spanish and he read from two of the Christian fiction books we been reading. He did such an excellent job reading ( he also voice act each character and today he was spot on!)
But I had a rather bad night.... I hardly ever get headaches, and I just could not get a handle on the one I had last night, not for hours! AND... a bloody spider apparently bit me, and it was sooooo itchy arrrgghhh AND... I was having a super flare up!!! ( and I had pain in some new places to boot!)
LOL Have I complained, whined, and kvetched enough yet?
But God was so good to me, it finally began to settle down to a dull roar, but of course, I did take more pain pills than ever before. sigh.
The spider bite is still red and itchy, but not as bad. I can't remember if I ever was bitten by a spider before, I think maybe once or twice. I don't like spiders!!!!

I wish Devon and Elijah could meet each other. I bet they'd be great friends! God must love us an awful lot to give us each such wonderful grandchildren!
I'm sorry you got a spider bite. Did you see it? I'm just wondering how you know it was a spider...I rarely know what bites me lol. I hate how badly they itch though. Strangely, I've found that Aspercream helps stop the itch better than cortisone or anything else I've tried. I discovered that many years ago. Now I get the Aspercream with lidocaine in it and that stops the itching even better. Most of the time I don't feel the itch once I put that on it!
You know, there are days when I just can't do some things and if I insist and keep trying, all I do is make a mess. But if I wait and try again the next day, then it turns out fine. That's one of the many blessings of homeschool. When either the teacher or the student are having an "off" day, the teacher can declare it a no school day, or just have a half day if there's something fun you could do for a while that you'd both enjoy.
I need to go finish my reply in Christian chat now lol. Talk to you later! Oh, did I thank you guys for your donation this month? I thought I did, but knowing me....I could be wrong. I really do appreciate it though!

You are right, I don't 'know' for sure it was a spider... but there are not a lot of other biting bugs, that I know of around here... still... and it is still itchy,
But yes, I did put aspercreme on it, but I will put some more on and see if it will help.
It's been about 3 days and it has not gone away? I am not sure how long it will take?

O Lord , Your hand is lifted up yet they do not see it. They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; Indeed, fire will devour Your enemies. Isaiah 26:11
The wicked do not 'see', they are spiritually blind. They do not see God's power, nor His mercy and compassion.
They are unaware that if they refuse to choose God's compassion, they will reap His justice.
They nevertheless, cannot plead ignorance, because their blindness, was willful...., they 'chose' to turn their backs on God, and to hide their eyes from seeing Him.
However, they will also see God's love for His people.
But for the believers, here is a comforting verse:
Lord , You will establish peace for us, Since You have also performed for us all our works. Isaiah 26:12
Notice the words "will establish". Perhaps, the present and immediate future, looks bleak, Nevertheless, God "WILL ESTABLISH" peace for us, in the future.
This is a great comfort.
O Lord our God, other masters besides You have ruled us; But through You alone we confess Your name. Isaiah 26:13
Israel had many foreign rulers, over the ages. We also may have many different earthly rulers over us.
But we are blessed, to have one all powerful, all knowing, infinite and eternal God... Who is our God, Savior, Father, King, ruler etc., who loves us for all eternity.

How old is Elijah? Of course, one day, they will meet each other I wish they could meet also!! Devon could really really be blessed by some young Christians his age. I do not think there are 'any' Christians at the school he went to.
He is still friends with his non Christian 'friends', as there are no Christians he knows of. But they mostly had in common video games like: minecraft.
Now you have me wondering, if some other bug, is the culprit!
Did I mention, I am not a big bug fan?????
I do like honey bees, bumble bees, butterflies, lady bugs and a few others... but by and large, I do not like bugs... they are creepy, ugly, and mean!!
So far this bite, is not going down, nor has it stopping itching!!!
I am drowning it in Aspercream with lidocaine!!!!!!!
Soooo maybe it was NOT a spider, whatever it was, it was not nice!! I do not like spiders, so that was my first choice for the culprit!!!
Do you think chocolate would help? LOL
I have tried a whole bunch of things: Like: Calamine lotion, 3 in one antibiotic cream, alcohol aloe etc. etc. etc.
Am I whining a wee bit tooooo much sigh!

I am still kind of thinking it may have been a brown recluse spider
Just looked at some info on its bite:
"a brown recluse bite is toxic to tissue cells, but it’s a local venom
it does almost look like a bit of tissue death....but I don't know but a little bit of 'brown' seems to be appearing
In the coming weeks, the center area of the bite typically will scab over. That’s something to keep an eye on, Dr. Bazzoli cautions. “When those areas of tissue are killed, in their place is a shallow ulcer, or an open wound,” he notes.
They also mention taking ( a larger dose than I ever do...) 2 ibuprofens... (I only take one)
and using ice and cleaning the area well
and mentioned 2 to 3 weeks Great!!!
I think I am just stressing because, I have added more 'stress' to my life.
Like:
I am 'almost' mute now my voice is shot...almost totally gone!
That is a big bummer, because I can at times be chatty Patty and if you cannot speak it is hard to communicate..duh!
Actually whispering sort of works....but not well.
And a few days ago, I had the worst flareup of arthritis bad bad headache itchy etc.
So far...that has gone back to a dull roar Thank you God!!!
Sorry, I am dumping this on you... I am just a wee bit stressed I will be fine tho Just have to adjust and I sometimes get the winter blues anyway.
You do not need to feel like you have to reply.... I know you have a ton 'more stress' than I....
I just needed to rant a bit
Okay...I am all done now :) Thank you for listening

Do you want some cheese with that whine? Just couldn't resist saying that!
Benadryl may help with the itching.

Barbara, what was I right about? Do you mean because I said I hardly ever know what bites me? I honestly thought you had seen it on you, or something like that. I wasn't in any way suggesting you didn't know what bit you.

My neighbor and I were talking about how the unsaved don't see what's really going on yesterday while I was working in the garden! It's amazing to us because we know what's going on in the Spiritual Realm and how it affects our lives here in the physical realm. We know what the Lord's plans are. But the unsaved are so caught up in this physical realm, and of course they're hearts are closed to the spiritual realm, so they don't have a clue about what's really going on or why it's happening. But you know what's more amazing? Being given the privilege of being present when God opens the eyes of one of them, and for the first time they start to see beyond this realm. Or when we get to see them realize that this physical realm is actually the illusion and the spiritual realm is actually the "real' one! Sorry....I didn't mean to take it off topic. Just got excited lol. But this was really good, thank you!

Elijah will be 18 December 5th and Grace will be 15 on Dec 8th. I'm sorry you're itching so badly. I had one like that a few years ago too. It about drove me crazy! Hopefully you'll remain sane though! No, everyone is entitled to whine a few times every year! Oh, and chocolate always helps!!!!!
I am still kind of thinking it may have been a brown recluse spider

But....You do know that it's very, very unlikely that it was a brown recluse spider that bit you, right? They're not only rare in your area, they rarely bite people too. What made you think it was that kind of spider? Any spider of bug bite can last several weeks under certain conditions, and you and I both have plenty of those "conditions" so neither of us should be surprised if the itch lasts longer than what we expected. Do you have the Aspercream that has Lidocaine in it? That helps even more than regular Aspercream! Also there's often "some" tissue death in many different bites.
I hate to tell you this, but RA causes people to become hoarse, especially during a flare up. I'm sorry you're going through this hon. I'll be praying for you!Do you want some cheese with that whine? Just couldn't resist saying that! Benadryl may help with the itching. Not cheese, chocolates! She should have posted something like this first: We're just teasing you Barbara!
He's right, Benadryl will help. The tablets, not the ointment or cream. Take 1 tablet to see how it affects you first if you've never taken it before. If it doesn't put you to sleep, than take 2 next time. The normal dose, even for children is 2 tablets (50mgs). It's also the ingredient used in most over the counter sleeping pills.

Right....not cheese Chocolate! The very idea...cheese over chocolate!
Oh I meant you were right, because you asked: was I sure it was a spider???.... and I was saying, you are right, I am NOT sure it was a spider, it was just that I did not know of any other biting nasty bugs around here.
Do you know, we have almost zero mosquitoes here on the coast. If any hitchhike in a car or truck from the east out to the beach here, the winds must blow them all right back East again haha.
We don't have a plethora of grasshoppers, or snakes etc. etc. either.
Hummmm " RA causes people to become hoarse" This has been about 8 months of progressively getting worse and worse. To the point, I am no fooling, seriously almost unable to speak at all.
You know how Robert Kennedy jr. sounds...real raspy? Well, I 'used' to sound similar to that.... but now it is way way way worse.
I am thinking I may have to learn some sign language quickly, and write notes.
Thank you both for the info about Benadryl and....it makes one sleepy eh! hummmmmm LOL
