But people have turned from the truth and now prefer lies, just as God has told us in 2 Timothy 4:3–4. They "exchange truth for lies" is also in Romans 1:25 and other places. We see that constantly today. Today the unsaved are listening to their corrupted hearts instead of listening to God and making up their own "truths". What they don't understand is that just because they refuse to admit that God's Word is true, doesn't make it any less true. A good example is gravity (a law God ordained for this world when He created it.) You can say you don't believe that law; you can say that if you jump out of a tree that you'll float up, but when you actually do it, God's law will still cause you to fall down. Today there are even people who say about Jesus, “I know him,” but do not do what he commands. We are told they are liars, and "the truth is not in them.” (1 John 2:4) Today, people love lies instead of the truth. Because they "refuse to love the truth and be saved" God will sending them a powerful delusion so that they'll believe the lie and be condemned. “But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.” (Romans 2:8) What we are seeing today is a preview of more evil to come. People love their sins and don't want to listen to the truth of what those sins will cost them. (2 Thessalonians 2:10–12) We will continue to see more and more evil called "good" and more and more lies called "truth". God says: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.” (Isaiah 5:20–21)
Please know that for every statement I've made there are many more scriptures that make that statement.

Nice Cindy, the words that stood out to me most was the words, "We train ourselves," because I was thinking about what was said in a talk along the same line as truth. The Lord told us to choose righteousness in everything we do because everything has an outcome, everything has consequences, every word, every action.

Thank you Cindy. I really like “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure". (Jeremiah 17:9) because it reminds me that I can't put confidence in my flesh and am guilty and need help to not do that. God please help us. Thank you sister.

I'm glad you all got something out of it. The Lord has been really showing me the huge difference in the saved and unsaved is that we know and apply the Truth and the unsaved are captive to lies, and they just keep falling for more and more lies, until they finally will fall for the antichrist.

A comment on the difference of the saved and the unsaved, in Acts 8:9-11 about Simon who was a sorcerer, we have the same thing happening now days where people see what a person can do that impresses them and they elevate them like they are someone important above others. It is trickery and bound in the earth. Satin can manipulate Gods creation, God commands his creation. Sorcery is where a person can manipulate to make it look like they did a great thing. The people accredited the sorcerers manipulation to the powers of God.
