This is true I seeing more ad for vaccinaed not yet on masks eveytihing already on Amazon Fire tv thorugh my I put on pause I get commerical for vaccines
Californians are being in undated with advertisements pushing Covid vaccines and masks by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). These ads are everywhere – radio, television, online ads, social media, iHeart radio, Sirius radio – even radio hosts are being paid to read the CDPH ads… it’s difficult to escape the commercials.
The CDPH even boasts about their targeted “outreach” to California’s Asian and Hispanic communities, low-income communities:
“The ‘Let’s Get to ImmUnity’ campaign launched statewide in early March as part of a broader $40 million effort to offer answers and reassurance that COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective, and our greatest tool to end the pandemic. The campaign aims to help move all of our lives forward again with radio, print, TV and billboard advertisements that reach all Californians, with a focus on multicultural and multilingual media outlets. The API-specific advertisements will encompass a total of 10 languages/dialects: Cantonese, Hindi, Hmong, Khmer, Korean, Laotian, Mandarin, Punjabi, Tagalog and Vietnamese.”
The ads also encourage Californians to stay informed on vaccine availability by signing up for My Turn notifications at myturn.ca.gov.
Last week California Globe contributor Kevin Nelson asked in an article, “Why Do So Many Californians Still Wear Masks?” He observed, “The Bay Area where I live probably has the densest population of mask wearers, with LA a close second.”
