Hannibal Lecter ain't got nothing on the profit-maximizing abortion ghoul caught on tape hawking aborted baby parts as she swilled wine and nibbled on a gourmet salad.
In newly released undercover footage from the pro-life Center for Medical Progress, seasoned abortionist Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who serves as national senior director of "medical services" at Planned Parenthood, chitter-chattered eagerly about fulfilling the bloodthirsty demand for "intact hearts," "lower extremities" and lungs.
Price tag? "You know, I would throw a number out," she babbled breezily as she twirled her fork. "I would say it's probably anywhere from $30 to $100" per specimen.
Hollywood couldn't conjure monsters this chillingly, banally evil.
Nucatola exulted at how fetal livers have become tres chic: "A LOT of people" want them.
She then spoke of the new hot trends in body-parts trafficking as if she were raving about the latest craze for crop tops or artisanal cheese.
"I was like wow," she gushed to her potential clients about the market for unborn baby hearts, "I didn't even know!"
Like wow.
This master of murderous euphemism repeatedly referred to an unborn baby's head as a "calvarium" and casually described the tricks and techniques she and her fellow abortionists use to "increase your chance of success." Rotating the babies so they are delivered breech before being mutilated and slaughtered by the practitioners of Planned Butcherhood works fabulously, in case you were wondering.

Selling Body Parts from Butchered Babies

It’s abhorrent. A senior Planned Parenthood abortionist was caught on tape detailing over the course of a two-hour conversation how its abortionists are intentionally “crushing” babies in order to harvest and sell whole organs from their dead bodies to third-parties.
What’s the scariest part about this video where the senior official discusses the harvesting of organs from butchered babies?
It’s possible that the way Planned Parenthood is carrying out many of these despicable practices is in fact legal.
Yesterday, a relatively new group of pro-life activists called the Center for Medical Progress posted the undercover video.
The Washington Post has more details:
Anti-abortion groups also said the callous nature of the discussion captured on film should tug at viewers’ consciences — particularly when Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical research, apparently describes “crushing” the fetus in ways that keep its internal organs intact, and her remarks about researchers’ desire for lungs and livers.
“I’d say a lot of people want liver,” she says in the video posted on the Center for Medical Progress’s Web site, between bites of salad. “And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.”
She continues: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
Revealing potential medical malpractice, she also discusses how abortionists change their practices depending on which organs third parties want harvested, even waiting to do abortions later than they normally would if the baby has a genetic abnormality.
She discusses how clinics have to pay to incinerate the butchered babies… unless they can get paid to harvest and transfer the body parts to a third-party. Even if Planned Parenthood doesn’t make a profit off of the sale of dead babies’ organs alone, this is still quite the financial incentive for big abortion’s bottom line, getting paid instead of having to pay to dispose of the bodies.

Priorities: DOJ to Investigate Pro-life Group Behind Alarming Planned Parenthood Videos

The Obama administration proved it is willing to do anything to protect its relationship with Planned Parenthood. Instead of reacting like most people did to the disturbing footage of Planned Parenthood doctors casually discussing the harvesting of aborted babies’ organs, the White House shrugged.
Then they decided to target the pro-life group who dared to investigate the abortion giant.
JUSTICE TO PROBE CENTER FOR MEDICAL PROGRESS — While congressional committees investigate Planned Parenthood’s practices, the Justice Department agreed to look into whether the group that released the sting videos obtained the footage legally. In response to a request by House Democrats, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Wednesday afternoon that Justice would “review all of the information and determine what the appropriate steps moving forward would be.” Planned Parenthood has staunchly defended its practices and claims that the Center for Medical Progress illegally obtained its footage, then excessively edited it to misrepresent what the organization does.
Yes, instead of looking further into the video recording of Planned Parenthood officials negotiating the sale of fetal body parts while drinking wine, the Department of Justice has decided to investigate the ones who pressed play.
Several Democrats, at first silent about CMP’s investigation, have now followed the White House’s lead in demonizing the pro-life group and claiming Planned Parenthood’s innocence. During a campaign stop in South Carolina, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton declared it was unfortunate that Planned Parenthood was the victim of a “concerted attack.”
Then there was the always-gullible House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who on Thursday proved once again that it doesn’t take much to convince her:
“Planned Parenthood has said that they have done nothing illegal,” Pelosi explained. “They do not ever charge, which would be illegal, for fetal tissue. They have only defrayed the cost of mailing that to someone, which is not breaking the law.”
She then referred to CMP’s three-year long investigation as a “controversy that doesn’t exist.”
Tell that to the unborn babies whose lives are being treated as collateral by the country’s most prolific abortion provider.

Obama Admin Purchased Body Parts Possibly From Babies Planned Parenthood Aborted

A new report indicates the Obama administration may have purchased the body parts of aborted babies from a biotech firm Planned Parenthood sold the body parts to after killing the babies in abortions. The revelation comes after five videos have exposed the baby body parts sales scandal occurring at Planned Parenthood abortion centers across the country.
According to the report in Politico, one of the biotech firms mentioned in the undercover videos identified as a fetal tissue supplier Planned Parenthood sold aborted babies to earned at least $300,000 from federal governmental agencies after selling fetal tissue to them. Officials say they are unsure if the specific fetal tissue sold to the Obama administration came from babies aborted at Planned Parenthood.
Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) has had contracts with the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration since 2009. In one of the videos, Katharine Sheehan, a former medical director of Planned Parenthood Pacific Southwest, mentioned selling fetal tissue from aborted babies to ABR and admitting a long-term relationship with it.
“We have already a relationship with ABR,” Sheehan says. “We’ve been using them for over 20 years — a really long time… They’re doing the big collection for government-level collections.”
According to the Politico report, the National Institutes of Health has paid Advanced Bioscience Resources $257,000 since 2009 and spent $53,000 on fetal tissue from aborted babies. The babies victimized by abortions were between 17 and 22 weeks old at the time they were aborted.
Meanwhile, FDA officials confirmed the Obama administration agency paid approximately $73,000 to the biotech company since 2009 for body parts from aborted babies, including livers and thymuses. The Politico report indicates ABR charged the Obama administration $340 for a 17- to 22-week human fetal thymus, $340 for a 17- to 22-week human fetal liver, $325 for a maternal blood test — in addition to shipping costs.
An Obama administration official defended the purchase of aborted baby body parts.

Big Abortion’s Cloak of Invisibility

The abortion industry in this country could not thrive as it does without the cover of secrecy provided by both the media and, in many cases, government officials more interested in protecting a powerful political ally than the lives of those upon whom that ally preys.
The recent and ongoing undercover videos of Planned Parenthood employees bargaining for human body parts over wine and chicken salad sickeningly illustrate what has been going on for years beneath a well maintained veil of secrecy. It’s no wonder that those who engage in these ghoulish practices howl with outrage whenever anybody even tries to expose their deeds. It’s bad enough that powerful elites in the media connive at this secrecy; but it’s scandalous when government itself lends its offices to the conspiracy.
For several years now, we at the ACLJ have been representing one person who has sought to lift the veil on the abortion industry in the State of Maryland. As we reported previously, here, and here, Andrew Glenn was spurred to action in 2012 after reading horror stories about minimally qualified - in some cases actually unlicensed in other states - abortion practitioners who were allowed to fly under the radar in his state, wreaking havoc on unsuspecting women, causing them serious injury and even death (a disturbing a deadly trend being documented nationwide).
Following the state’s enactment of new regulations designed to tighten up oversight of these places by the state’s Health Department, Glenn filed a simple, routine Public Information Request. His Request asked for the names of the owners, administrators, and medical directors of each of Maryland’s licensed abortion facilities. (At least three of the facilities are owned by Planned Parenthood). Given the Department’s history of turning a blind eye to the abortion industry, Glenn wanted do his own research and cross-check the information contained in publicly filed licensure applications against regulatory records in other states.
But instead of welcoming Glenn’s efforts to assist them in their oversight, the Department denied him access to the information he sought.

Is the FBI Investigating Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion?

According to multiple news reports published today, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) may be investigating Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry as to its involvement in the illegal sale of body parts of aborted babies under the guise of their so-called “fetal tissue procurement” practices. The news breaking today purports that the FBI recently asked the Senate Judiciary Committee to make documents that were obtained during the Senate’s own investigation into Planned Parenthood available for the Bureau’s review.
If these reports are true, an investigation by the FBI follows those already conducted by the United States House and Senate, which resulted in the discovery that Planned Parenthood garnered a profit on their tissue procurement program by charging research firms more for the specimens than Planned Parenthood’s actual costs. The House and Senate reports also documented numerous other criminal and illegal acts of abortion providers and fetal tissue companies. As we have previously reported, these discoveries have led to “multiple criminal and regulatory referrals to federal, state, and local government entities for further investigation” into Planned Parenthood’s internal operations and previously-undisclosed practices.
The discovery of the abortion industry’s abhorrent practice of altering abortion procedures and profiting from the sale of baby body parts is also the subject of a case the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) recently brought before the Supreme Court of the United States for its review. There, the ACLJ represents Troy Newman, a former board member of the Center for Medical Progress. The Center engaged in an undercover journalism project meant to expose Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion’s criminal and illegal practices, such as profiting off of the sale of the body parts of the babies aborted at their facilities.

Update: Planned Parenthood Under DOJ Investigation

In confirmation of news we brought you not long ago, it has now been verified by multiple news outlets that the Department of Justice is, in fact, investigating Planned Parenthood and its illegal practices, such as profiting from the sale of aborted fetal tissue.
The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Chuck Grassley, and the Ranking Member, Senator Dianne Feinstein, received a letter yesterday from the Department of Justice requesting that documents the Committee reviewed in its investigation of Planned Parenthood in 2016 be sent – without redactions – to the DOJ for its own investigation. It is unusual for DOJ to confirm the existence of an ongoing investigation.
Chairman Grassley stated at the time of the Senate investigation that enough information had been found to show that abortion providers had indeed charged more than their costs for the transfer of fetal tissue; in short, that Big Abortion had in fact obtained a profit off of the sales of aborted babies’ body parts.
The DOJ has promised to conduct a “thorough and comprehensive assessment of [the Senate Judiciary Committee’s] report based on the full range of information available.” Confirmation that the Department of Justice is now conducting its own investigation is welcome and encouraging news in our fight for the lives and dignity of the unborn. We hope that this investigation, like the Senate and House investigations done before, will further expose Planned Parenthood and the criminal, illegal, and other horrible practices conducted at its facilities.

Law Enforcement Forces Abortion-Related Businesses to “Permanently Close” After Selling Aborted Babies’ Body Parts for “1000%” Profit

From Day One, the ACLJ has been aggressively calling for Congress and federal and state law enforcement to investigate Big Abortion for the horrific practice of selling aborted babies’ body parts (fetal tissue) for profit. It’s illegal, but until recently has gone on unhindered from the fear of prosecution.
Bombshell revelations yesterday not only confirm the existence of this practice and substantiate our aggressive legal advocacy but also show that the abortion industry can be defeated.
The District Attorney for Orange County, California, has just announced a settlement of a lawsuit his office filed against two fetal tissue procurement companies, DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences. Both companies admitted liability for their role in selling human fetal tissue and stem cells for profit, which is against the law. As a result of this settlement, the two companies must pay close to $8 million dollars and “permanently close and cease all business operations in the State of California.”
The body parts of aborted babies were commodities to these companies. As the District Attorney noted:
The defendants hired an outside marketing consultant to develop marketing materials, including a catalog posted on the company’s website in January 2010, and sent them to various sales leads. The two companies advertised prices in a range as low as $40 a vial for the “total RNA” cells from several fetal tissue sources to as high as $1,100 a vial for specific cells derived from fetal brain tissue. They priced the products in a middle range from $300 to $375 a vial for fetal lung derived products, $300 to $450 a vial for fetal kidney derived products, $500 to $700 a vial for fetal heart derived products, and $250 to $700 a vial for fetal liver derived products. . . .

ACLJ Back in Court Against Big Abortion

Just over three years ago, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a series of videos that shocked the conscience of the American public, showing senior abortion providers openly discussing illegal practices such as profiting from the sale of the body parts of aborted babies and altering abortion methods to procure fetal specimens. Following in the tradition of other investigative journalists, CMP conducted a two-year undercover investigation of fetal tissue procurement companies and abortion providers, which included the use of hidden cameras and microphones at abortion industry conferences and informal meetings.
Big Abortion and its media allies immediately went on a public relations offensive, seeking to discredit CMP and its work in order to preserve the myth that no one has ever profited from the sale of fetal organs. Within a few weeks of the first CMP video being released, the National Abortion Federation (NAF) sued CMP and two of its board members, and obtained an injunction that prohibited CMP and individuals associated with it from releasing any footage recorded at NAF’s annual meetings. Several months later, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and several of its affiliates also filed a similar lawsuit. The ACLJ represents Troy Newman, a former CMP board member, in both lawsuits.
Despite the injunction and favorable media coverage, Big Abortion has failed to keep all evidence of illegal activities within the abortion and fetal tissue procurement industries under wraps. The United States Senate and House of Representatives each launched their own investigations into those industries due to the disturbing evidence uncovered by CMP. The Congressional investigators held hearings, reviewed thousands of pages of documents, reviewed many hours of CMP’s public and non-public video footage, and conducted witness interviews.
