Leonard went to a dermatologist a few weeks back, because of a growth on his neck. She ( the deratologist) used liquid nitrogen on about 50 spots,
but two she did biopsies on.
The dermatologist just called, and the lab came back, it is cancer: Squamous cell carcinoma and so he will have to have surgery...she will call back on when that will happen.
So prayers would be greatly appreciated thank you.

well we have run into two snags. The dermatologists office called to make an appointment to have surgery.....
But.....they can only do it in a hospital in Washington.
Our car would probably not make it that far...we are in Oregon.
Plus our daughter, who would probably have to drive him,
has several issues ( like she works almost non stop)
and there are other issues....
We will check and see if Providence ( where we have always gone....but they outsourced this for some reason)
Can do it......
Other wise, God will have to surely find a way,
or he just can't get it done.
So if you don't mind more prayers please.

I called Providence financial aid Monday, and they said, they probably will have a determination by the beginning of April...maybe a bit sooner.
So the wheels are turning slowly....but turning.
Thank you for your prayers.
I have no idea how quickly skin cancer grows, but prayerfully very very slowly.

Thank you Lulu.....Leonard has sort of put surgery on hold for now.
So if you get a chance maybe you could pray the cancer spreads very very very slowly or even goes into remission. Thank you again!

Thank you for asking Lulu....it really does seem the area that is cancerous, is now about 1/2 the size it was!
He is doing well, considering he is soon to be 78
and has other issues.
He is a diabetic and takes insulin
and takes heart meds
and never did anything about stage 3 kidney disease
etc. etc.
But so far, he keeps on trucking. Yes a bit slower then when he was 20,
but then that can happen.
I know there are folks that at 100 are running marathons, but not everybody can do that.
Still, he does a lot....who knew at his age,
he would turn into a sort of taxi driver LOL
Takes our daughter to work each day
3 kids to school
picks daughter up etc. etc.
And another blessing is our car still runs, tho, it is almost held together with scotch tape! It is old too! the car has issues ( kind of like us),
and we know almost zero about cars, being artists.
We know it has a battery tho :)
And boy oh boy, about a month ago...
we learned it had an alternator thingy
that when it dies...not even your emergency lights work!
Who knew? LOL
We were dead in the water so to speak,
no lights on that part of the highway,
not lights on our car of any kind
we could not really pull over much as it died,
because of a big big big ditch etc.
But God...
gave us a ton of miracles that night!

Just a quick update on Leonard's sin cancer.
As I mentioned he did noting about it.
It was at least 1/2 and inch,
or maybe three quarters of an inch big.
I do not know exactly what this means, but it has fallen off!
It is at skin level ( no more height to it all all.)
This may be a result of your prayers.
Maybe it is in remission ( or not)
but the 'ugliness of the raised 1/2-3/4" is for now,
gone!
That alone is a blessing. So thank you Lord,
and thank you to those of you who have prayed.
Maybe it is not in remission or maybe it is,
and maybe it will come back....
But right now....it has fallen off and away.
