Hillary Clinton Attacks Israel, Says They’re Conquerors Who “Deny Dignity”
Conservative Tribune
When it comes to foreign policy, it seems that neither Barack Obama nor Hillary Clinton have a clue what they’re talking about.
The former Secretary of State has been in the hot seat for her involvement in the Benghazi scandal for almost a year now, and one would think with that situation coming to a head, wisdom would guide her to think carefully before she speaks, as idiotic statements could damage her chances at the presidency in 2016.
It seems that Clinton has ignored that common sense bit of wisdom, by slamming the nation of Israel in her latest memoir, Hard Choices where she calls the Jewish nation an “occupying force in Palestine.”
Clinton recounts her time visiting the Middle East and being shocked at witnessing “life under occupation for Palestinians.” This seems to indicate that Clinton, a supposed raging liberal who lives, eat's and breathes racial equality, has a bit of a bias against Israel.
According to Free Beacon, the former First Lady writes, “When we left the city and visited Jericho, in the West Bank, I got my first glimpse of life under occupation for Palestinians, who were denied the dignity and self-determination that Americans take for granted.”

Clinton ‘suggests to donors she’s better for Israel than Obama’
By Times of Israel staff July 3, 2015
Leading Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has suggested to potential Jewish donors in closed-door meetings that she would be a better president for Israel than incumbent Barack Obama, Politico reported Friday.
The report claimed that at a New York fundraiser last week, Clinton told a group of mostly Jewish donors that she would be able to mend the fractured relationship between Washington and Jerusalem.
While she defended President Obama against accusations that he was responsible for a deterioration in ties between Israel and the US, she noted that “Diplomacy is all about personal relationships, and I’ve got my own relationships.”
She hinted at her 20-year ties to Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose rapport with Obama has been famously unsmooth.
Obama’s rocky relationship with Israel and its leadership has been in the headlines again in the past few weeks due to accusations by former Israeli Ambassador to Washington Michael Oren that the president is to blame for the poor state of bilateral ties.

Clinton Vows to ‘Fight Back’ Against Anti-Israel Boycott Movement
BY: Alana Goodman July 7, 2015
Hillary Clinton promised to “fight back against” the anti-Israel boycott movement, calling it “harmful” to both Israelis and Palestinians in a letter to one of her top donors last week.
“I am writing to express my alarm over the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or ‘BDS,’ a global effort to isolate the State of Israel by ending commercial and academic exchanges,” Clinton wrote in the July 2 letter, which was released by Clinton mega-donor Haim Saban on Monday.
“As you know, BDS seeks to punish Israel and dictate how the Israelis and Palestinians should resolve the core issues of their conflict. This is not the path to peace,” Clinton added.
The presidential candidate asked Saban, an entertainment mogul and prominent pro-Israel advocate, for recommendations “on how leaders and communities across America can work together to counter BDS.” She also vowed to make this a “priority” and said she would “be speaking out publicly on this issue in the weeks ahead.”
Clinton’s letter comes just days after the Obama administration said it would not enforce aspects of a new law to fight the BDS movement that was passed by Congress.
Saban recently gave $2 million to a pro-Clinton super PAC and hosted a fundraiser at his home for the Democratic candidate earlier this spring.
Politico reported last week that Clinton has privately indicated to donors that she will be a stronger supporter of Israel than Obama, but she has yet to take a clear stance on the Iran nuclear deal.
Pro-Israel advocates welcomed the letter but called on Clinton to clarify her position on the recent anti-BDS law and the Iran deal.

Hillary Clinton Cozying Up to Zionist Supporters
By Ahuva Balofsky July 10, 2015
Hillary Clinton is cozying up to her Zionist supporters, making comments in recent weeks to signal her love for Israel. According to Politico, the presidential hopeful has indicated to her Jewish donors that she would be a more faithful friend to Israel than current US President Barack Obama, but has remained ambiguous on the Iran deal.
Regarding Iran, Clinton has publicly supported the nuclear negotiations, a process she secretly initiated during her tenure as Secretary of State. She has also said, however, that “no deal is better than a bad deal.” Israel has expressed concern that the Iran deal in its current form is highly dangerous and would be damaging to regional stability, leaving the Islamic Republic with the ability to go nuclear in a very short time.
According to those running her campaign, her support for the Iran deal does not contradict her support for Israel. Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill explained, “A strong deal is good for Israel in her view.”
Clinton has also defended Obama’s interactions with Israel, saying the perceived damage to the relationship stems from a “perception” problem. She did indicate, however, that she could fix that problem and improve the relationship between the two states.

Clinton: I Don't Trust Iran, but There's No Alternative
By Elad Benari 7/17/2015
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton admitted on Thursday that critics of the Iran nuclear deal had a "respectable argument," but also said there were no alternatives.
"There are people on the other side of this whom I respect, who have said very clearly: 'I can’t support it, I think it’s a mistake.' They believe the Iranians will cheat," Clinton was quoted by Reuters as having said at a town hall meeting in Dover, New Hampshire.
She went on to admit, "I think that is a respectable argument. However, I think it’s important to ask what are our alternatives."
"Do I trust the Iranians? Absolutely not," stressed Clinton.
The former Secretary of State said the United States must move forward with a nuclear deal with Iran "with our eyes wide open," noting she does not believe it will get Iran to stop sponsoring terrorist activity in the region, reported The Associated Press (AP).
She said the deal "gives us a better chance than a lesser chance" to improve security for allies, like Israel, in the Middle East, but also described her backing of the Iran nuclear deal as a "cold, calculating assessment," saying she does not trust the Iranians to change their "bad behavior" in other areas.

None could come up with a reason why she would be good for the country or any outstanding thing she has done for the country to date.
Overwhelming they said, because she's a women.

‘Make him uneasy’ — Clinton emails reveal debate on handling Netanyahu
By Sara Miller and AP August 1, 2015
A new batch of emails released Friday to and from Hillary Clinton show that the then-secretary of state was advised in 2009 to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu into restarting peace talks with the Palestinians by making “his politics uneasy.”
In September of that year, Clinton took counsel from her husband’s former national security adviser Sandy Berger on how best to handle Netanyahu on the stagnant peace process.
Berger, who served as former president Bill Clinton’s security adviser from 1997 to 2001, told Hillary Clinton that she should take advantage of Israel’s discomfort at the prospect of a hostile American administration to press her case.
In an email dated September 22, 2009 and entitled “Bibi/Abu Mazen” — Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ respective commonly used monikers — Berger advised Clinton that the public debate should shift “from settlement freeze to final status.”
“Going forward, if Bibi continues to be the obstacle, you will need to find the ground from which you can make his politics uneasy,” Berger wrote. “I think you can do that even with current concerns in Israel about US posture.”

Clinton: Iran Deal Good for Israel
By Arutz Sheva Staff 9/9/2015
Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton expressed firm support for the nuclear accord with Iran on Wednesday, calling it flawed but still strong, according to AFP.
Clinton added that the agreement must be strictly enforced and said that if elected president next year, she would not hesitate to use military force if Iran fails to live up to its word and tries to develop a bomb.
The agreement struck in July between the United States and other world powers and Iran provides Tehran relief from crippling economic sanctions in exchange for limits on its nuclear program.
Republicans and other critics complain that it does not do away with the program altogether, fails to provide for spot inspections of nuclear sites or force Iran to end support for terror groups like Hamas.
"Is it perfect? Well, of course not," Clinton said in a speech at the Brookings Institution. "No agreement like this ever is. But is it a strong agreement? Yes, it is."
The former secretary of state added: "Either we move forward on the path of diplomacy and seize this chance to block Iran's path to a nuclear weapon. Or we turn down a more dangerous path leading to a far less certain and riskier future. That's why I support this deal."
She added that the accord is positive for the security of Israel, which vehemently opposes it.

Hillary Pens Op-Ed Claiming Love For Israel: Her Record Says Otherwise
Truth Revolt 11.5.2015
With Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set to visit the White House next week, Hillary Clinton seeks to reassure the pro-Israel community that her Presidency will be more Israel-friendly than the current Administration.
In an op-ed published in The Forward entitled, “How I Would Reaffirm Unbreakable Bond With Israel — and Benjamin Netanyahu” Hillary says she loves Israel and in 1981, “Bill and I fell in love with Jerusalem as we walked the ancient streets of the Old City. Even amid all the history and traditions, it was a city pulsing with life and energy.”
Hillary notes that she promises to invite Netanyahu, or whoever the PM is, to the White House inside of a month:
"I will do everything I can to enhance our strategic partnership and strengthen America’s security commitment to Israel, ensuring that it always has the qualitative military edge to defend itself. That includes immediately dispatching a delegation of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to meet with senior Israeli commanders.”
While Hillary claims to be Pro-Israel, she does not address the fact that Sidney Blumenthal who just this week was referred to as the Clintons closest advisor has defended claims that Israel is Germany, and Israelis must leave Israel.

Is Hillary Clinton a friend of Israel?
Jeff Dunetz November 10, 2015
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, wrote an op-ed for the liberal Jewish Newspaper the Forward. In the piece she pledges her continued friendship with the State of Israel, and to Israeli Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. That pledge should raise the eyebrows of any fair-minded observer.
If one looks at Hillary Clinton’s public history one finds a lifetime of anti-Israel positions. But wait some might say, Hillary was a big supporter of Israel when she was in the U.S. Senate. Indeed, she was. With the possible exception of the time from her first campaign New York’s Senate seat in 2000 to her resignation from the Senate to become Secretary of State in January 2009– except for the time she needed New York’s Jewish voting bloc, Hillary Clinton has never been pro-Israel. And when she held the position of Secretary of State, she helped Barack Obama craft his anti-Israel positions.
Even before her marriage to Bill, Hillary Clinton was opposing Israel and promoting the forces of terrorism. In his book American Evita on page 49, Christopher Anderson writes.
At a time when elements of the American Left embraced the Palestinian cause and condemned Israel, Hillary was telling friends that she was “sympathetic” to the terrorist organization and admired its flamboyant leader, Yasser Arafat. When Arafat made his famous appearance before the UN General Assembly in November 1974 wearing his revolutionary uniform and his holster on his hip, Bill “was outraged like everybody else,” said a Yale Law School classmate. But not Hillary, who tried to convince Bill that Arafat was a “freedom fighter” trying to free his people from their Israeli “oppressors.”
On page 50 of the same book, the author relates an experience that Hillary and her future husband had during a trip to Arkansas in 1973:
It was during this trip to his home state that Bill took Hillary to meet a politically well-connected friend. When they drove up to the house, Bill and Hillary noticed that a menorah-the seven branched Hebrew candelabrum (not to be confused with the more common and subtler mezuzah)-has been affixed to the front door.
“My daddy was half Jewish,” explained Bill’s friend. “One day when he came to visit, my daddy placed the menorah on my door because he wanted me to be proud that we were part Jewish. And I wasn’t about to say no to my daddy.”
To his astonishment, as soon as Hillary saw the menorah, she refused to get out of the car. “Bill walked up to me and said that she was hot and tired, but later he explained the real reason.” According to the friend and another eyewitness, Bill said, “I’m sorry, but Hillary’s really tight with the people in the PLO in New York. They’re friends of hers, and she just doesn’t feel right about the menorah.”

Clinton Email Outlined Plan to Spark Arab-Spring Style Protests Against Israel
By Lea Speyer January 12, 2016
“A froward man soweth strife; and a whisperer separateth familiar friends.” (Proverbs 16:28)
In a new batch of released emails from former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, a former US diplomat suggested to Clinton that she push the Palestinians to form Arab Spring-like protests against Israel to push the government to make fresh overtures towards a two-state solution.
Thomas Pickering, a former US ambassador to Israel, wrote to Clinton on December 18, 2011 that she should recommend sparking Palestinian demonstrations, led by female protesters, to force Israel to re-enter peace negotiations.
The protests, which also called on Israeli Jews to hold parallel demonstrations against the government, should be led by and attended by women only so as to reduce the chances of violence.
“On the Palestinian side the male culture is to use force. Palestinian men will not for long patiently demonstrate — they will be inclined over time and much too soon to be frustrated and use force. Their male culture comes close to requiring it,” Pickering wrote.
“If the Palestinians see men engaged they will jump in and the soldiers of the IDF will sooner or later use force. This comes from several former senior Israeli military officers I have spoken with. The soldiers are fearful, nervous, outnumbered, insecure and brought up on a severe distrust of Palestinian males whom almost all of them have never spoken to except at roadblocks.”

Hillary's Emails: Hating Israel
Ari Lieberman January 14, 2016
There are many reasons to dislike Hillary Clinton. For one, she’s an unrepentant liar, fabricating everything from her Brian Williamesque brush with death in Bosnia to her parent’s pedigree to her claim that she believed a video caused the deaths of four heroes in Benghazi.
She is also unethical, having accepted large sums of money to the Clinton Foundation from countries and entities working on behalf of foreign governments impacted by her decisions as secretary of state. There is some circumstantial evidence suggesting that she may have been influenced by these rather large contributions. In one well publicized case, Russia was able to acquire 20% of the United States’ uranium reserves in an energy deal that required State Department approval. A paper trail from that transaction reveals that the Clintons’ and their foundation benefited from substantial donations issued by entities with vested interests in ensuring the Russian acquisition of America’s strategic assets. Clinton was required to publicly disclose these contributions but never did. The FBI has now expanded its Emailgate probe of Clinton to include whether the possible “intersection” of Clinton Foundation work and State Department business violated public corruption laws.
Hillary Clinton, who fancies herself as the champion of human rights and women’s rights, is also a serial hypocrite. Records show that the Clinton Foundation accepted funds from countries with abysmal human rights records where misogyny is regularly practiced and the principles of due process are routinely trampled upon.
She gives new meaning to the term flip-flopper, changing her views on various issues on multiple occasions. On everything from gay marriage to NAFTA to the Keystone Pipeline, Hillary is all over the map. Depending on the prevailing winds and the target audience, she’s either for it or against it. With Hillary, it’s all about expediency while principle plays little if any role. When asked by Chris Matthews about the difference between a Socialist and a Democrat, Hillary, ever the professional panderer, sidestepped the issue and predictably, a pliant Matthews from the uber-left MSNBC, let the matter pass without protest. As an aside, there is no longer any difference. Both parties believe in big, intrusive government and “redistribution” of wealth.
She is more than likely a felon having committed numerous transgressions in connection with her usage of private, unsecured servers to send classified State Department emails which likely fell into the hands of the Russians, Chinese and God knows who else.
In fact, Hillary’s crimes are likely far greater in scope and scale than those committed by General David Petraeus. At least with Petraeus, the damage was limited and contained. Not so with Clinton’s malfeasance. We may never know the extent of the damage caused by her deliberate circumvention of law and government protocol but it is a virtual certainty that government secrets were compromised and national security was placed at risk.
Bob Woodward compared Hillary’s server scandal to that of Watergate, which brought down the Nixon administration. Woodward is not some far-right tea-bagger but an accomplished and well-respected Washington insider and investigative journalist who brought down an American president.
These examples by themselves should give pause for thought before one entertains the notion of pulling the lever for an unprincipled liar and possible, nay probable felon but unfortunately, there’s more, a lot more.
If you hate Israel and wish to see nothing but misfortune for the Jewish State, stop reading because Hillary is your candidate. If you care about Israel and its relationship with the United States, read on.
Hillary’s email scandal has unleashed a treasure trove of information pertaining to the former secretary of state’s views on Israel as well as those of her closest advisors, Sidney Blumenthal, Anne Marie Slaughter and Thomas Pickering. The latest email exposé involves Thomas Pickering.
Pickering has never been known to be friendly toward Israel but what he suggested to Hillary in a 2011 email is frankly shocking, even by anti-Israel standards. He hatched a scheme to foment unrest in Israel through mass Arab demonstrations to pressure the Israeli government and arm-twist it into making damaging concessions. The nefarious plan, Pickering advised, would require the assistance of third parties and NGOs so that the U.S. could not be linked to it in any way. Apparently, even Pickering, the author of this malevolence, understood its negative implications for the U.S.-Israel alliance should the U.S. role in it ever come to light.
One would think that Hillary would have dismissed such an outrageous suggestion outright but instead, she ordered an aide to print the email providing keen insight into the extent of Clinton’s disdain for the Jewish State. It only gets worse from there.
One of Clinton’s closest advisers was Anne Marie Slaughter. She served as Clinton’s director of policy planning at Foggy Bottom from 2009 until 2011. In 2010, she sent an email to senior Clinton staffers hatching a ludicrous plan involving a pro-Palestinian fundraising initiative that would have had the net effect of “shaming” Israel into submission.
Another miscreant and perhaps the most troubling on the list of shady anti-Israel characters advising Clinton is Sidney Blumenthal, father and defender of the notorious anti-Semite, Max Blumenthal. Max has never met a Hamas or Hezbollah terrorist he didn’t like and subscribes to every single anti-Israel calumny and conspiracy theory winding its way through the blogosphere. So extreme are his views that even the German Communist party washed its hands of him.

Clinton: I'll defend Israel but push for 'two-state solution'
By Elad Benari 2/22/2016
Former Secretary of State and current Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton believes both Republican candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz “missed the mark” with their approach to the Israel-Palestinian Arab conflict.
Speaking Sunday to CNN, Clinton vowed to support Israel but also said she would insist on the “two-state solution”, that is the formation of a Palestinian state, in order to bring an end to the conflict.
In the interview, Clinton was asked about Trump’s and Cruz’s comments last week. While Trump indicated he would be “sort of a neutral guy” on the Israeli-Palestinian issue, Cruz said, "I have no intention of being neutral" and stressed he would be standing by Israel.
“I think both of them missed the mark,” she replied, stressing that “Israel is our partner, our ally. We have longstanding and important ties with Israelis going back to the formation of the state of Israel.”
“I will defend and do everything I can to support Israel, particularly as the neighborhood around it seems to become more dangerous and difficult,” declared Clinton, but also added, “I also believe the Palestinians deserve to have a state of their own. That's why I support a two-state solution. That's what I have worked on. That's what I tried to move forward when I was secretary, and holding three very intense conversations between the prime minister of Israel and the president of the Palestinian Authority.”
“Those are not mutually exclusive,” she continued. “I happen to think that moving toward a two-state solution, trying to provide more support for the aspirations of the Palestinian people is in the long-term best interests of Israel, as well as the region, and, of course, the people themselves.”

Hillary demands end to Arab incitement against Israel
By Arutz Sheva Staff 3/21/2016
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke on Monday morning at the annual AIPAC policy conference in Washington D.C. The Democratic frontrunner highlighted the importance of the US-Israel alliance, and demanded an end to the Palestinian Authority's incitement against Israel and celebration of terrorists.
"These attacks must end immediately, and Palestinian leaders must stop inciting violence, stop celebrating terrorists as martyrs, and stop paying rewards to their families."
Referencing the recent terror wave in Israel, Clinton spoke of "brutal terror attacks" including stabbing attacks.
Clinton repeatedly condemned incitement in the Palestinian Authority, but also linked support for terrorism and construction in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.
"Terrorism should never be encouraged or celebrated, and children should not be taught to hate in schools, that poison's the future," she said. But, Clinton continued, "Everyone has to do their part by avoiding damaging actions, including with respect to settlements."
The former First Lady emphasized her support for Israel, distancing herself from Obama's handling of the US-Israel relationship. Clinton promised to make Israel one of her top priorities as president, and to coordinate more closely with the Israeli government.more www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/209686

Clinton criticizes Trump's neutral stance on Israel peace efforts
By Steve Holland and Emily Flitter Mar 21, 2016
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton attacked Republican Donald Trump on Monday for taking a neutral stance toward Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts, in a preview of a possible general election battle between them.
On a day Trump was visiting Washington, Clinton told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference that Trump would undermine Israel's security by taking an evenhanded approach to negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians.
"America can't ever be neutral when it comes to Israel's security and survival," Clinton told the pro-Israel lobbying group, without mentioning Trump by name. "Anyone who doesn’t understand that has no business being our president." ...
"We need steady hands, not a president who says he’s neutral on Monday, pro-Israel on Tuesday, and who-knows-what on Wednesday because everything’s negotiable," she said. ...
"We've had dark chapters in our history before," Clinton said. "We remember the nearly 1,000 Jews aboard the St. Louis who were refused entry in 1939 and sent back to Europe. But America should be better than this. And I believe it is our responsibility to say so.
"If you see bigotry, oppose it, if you see violence, condemn it, if you see a bully, stand up to him," she said.

Markell: Clinton talks tough but still a liberal
Chad Groening (OneNewsNow.com) March 21, 2016
The head of a messianic Jewish ministry says American Jews are being fooled if they believe Hillary Clinton is a friend of Israel.
"They can say all the nice words they want to say," observes Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries, "but in their heart they want the destruction of Israel and the exaltation of Islam."
Markell was responding to Clinton's appearance on Monday in front of the annual meeting of AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Clinton told the crowd that the United States must never be "neutral" toward Israel, a knock at Donald Trump for suggesting such a stance.
Despite Clinton's hard-hitting words, Markell says the Democratic candidate is still a liberal, and liberals hate Israel while exalting the Palestinians.
"It's about hating good and loving evil," she tells OneNewsNow.

She talks out of both sides of her mouth ( and/or lies and then lies again, and then again etc. or does she think we don't remember... or does she have Alzheimers?).
Did she not : call the Jewish nation an “occupying force in Palestine.”
And attacking Israel, She Said:
"They’re Conquerors Who “Deny Dignity”
So how then, is she going to be good for Israel?
I would not trust anything she says!

Sane Jews do not vote for Hillary
Joan Swirsky, RenewAmerica analyst April 19, 2016
At the beginning of January 2016, an organization called NORPAC – a lobby whose mission is to support candidates and sitting members of Congress "who demonstrate a genuine commitment to the strength, security, and survival of Israel" – invited its members to "an exclusive and intimate" cocktail reception for Hillary Clinton for people willing to pay $2,700 per individual or $5,400 per couple.
The invitation included a synopsis of Hillary's credibility vis-à-vis Israel, stating that she had "been a supporter of the US-Israel relationship for many years...and, as Secretary of State, she had stood up against Israel's enemies...."
Then, NORPAC promptly betrayed its pretense of impartiality by stating: "Please join us in support of Secretary Hillary Clinton for President and share your concerns about the US-Israel relationship with her at this pro-Israel event."
Of course, all of this hype was pure fiction, but fully embraced by the leftwing Jews who have essentially abandoned genuine Judaism for the Social Justice causes embraced by the Democrat party, causes that make them feel like "good" people – everything from the redistribution of wealth (aka Communism) to saving the environment (from the colossal hoax known as climate change) to equality for women (except when it comes to speaking out against the vile abuses of Sharia law, the mass rapes by Muslims in Europe, and the rapacious behavior of one Bill Clinton) to the Holy Grail of leftism, abortion, which amounts to the de facto approval of the over fifty-eight-million infants murdered by this gruesome procedure since it became the law of the land in 1973.
But the subject here is not the magical thinking of leftists or the suicidal ideation of liberal Jews. Rather, it is the urgency to correct the decades-long fantasy that Hillary Clinton is even remotely supportive of Jews, Israel, Zionism – in fact anything to do with Jewish life.
With friends like these...
So let us forthwith dispense with the fiction that Hillary Clinton is a friend of Israel, of Zionism, of Jews. In fact, she loathes all three, and her ignominious track record of nearly 40 years in public life proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Clinton's deafening silence on anti-Israel platform fight
By Ari Yashar 6/1/2016
As presidential candidate Bernie Sanders presses to have the Democratic party adopt a pro-Palestinian stance, his rival Hillary Clinton has remained noticeably tight-lipped on the subject, showing the balancing act she is playing in a shifting party.
Sanders has been given five of the 15 seats on the party platform drafting committee at the Democratic National Committee's (DNC) July convention. His representatives plan to press for a platform change away from Israel - two of the five, Cornel West and James Zogby, have made openly hostile comments against the Jewish state.
But in response to Sanders' plans to change the party platform Clinton, who has frequently made pro-Israel statements, has refused to speak about the issue.
Clinton advisers refused to talk about the issue "because of sensitivity to any move that might inflame tensions with Sanders and his supporters," reports the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday. A Clinton spokesperson likewise refused to comment to the Washington Free Beacon.
The most response her campaign would give was a general statement by Jake Sullivan, a senior policy adviser, who said, "Hillary Clinton’s views on Israel and the US-Israel relationship are well-documented and she’s confident that her delegates will work to ensure that the party platform reflects them."
Clinton has six representatives on the party platform drafting committee, giving her a slight edge on Sanders. The remaining four committee members were chosen by the DNC.
“We are watching every word, and it makes a big deal in Israel,” a former Israeli diplomat told the Los Angeles Times on condition of anonymity.

Hillary’s Russian Reset, Terrorism, and the Threat to Israel
By Cliff Kincaid June 9, 2016
In her recent foreign policy speech, hailed by the media, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, “If Donald [Trump] gets his way, they’ll be celebrating in the Kremlin. We cannot let that happen.” But as veteran correspondent David Satter points out, the celebrations began when Mrs. Clinton launched a “reset” in Russian relations in 2009 that ignored the criminal nature of the regime in Moscow and led to the invasion of Ukraine.
“It began as we know with a mistranslation of the word ‘reset’ and I think went downhill from there,” Satter said, referring to her photo-op with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Satter’s new book, The Less You Know, the Better You Sleep, is the result of years of research that has uncovered some of the most closely-held state secrets of the Vladimir Putin regime. Putin came to power “as the result of an act of terror carried out against his own people,” he explained.
He discussed his dramatic findings in a recent speech at the Heritage Foundation.
The book has important implications for how intelligence agencies analyze Islamic terrorism occurring outside of Russia as well, and sponsored by regimes such as Syria or Iran.
The first American journalist to be expelled from Russia since the end of the Cold War, Satter investigated the former KGB’s role in such terrorist incidents as the Moscow apartment bombings of 1999, the Dubrovka Theater siege of 2002, and the Beslan hostage taking of 2004. In all of these cases, he says, there is strong evidence of links between the terrorists (sometimes labeled as Chechens) and the KGB (now known as the FSB). Either the FSB carried out the terrorism through its agents or let it occur, he said, in order to justify the creation of a new dictatorship in Moscow.
In the case of the apartment bombings, which killed about 300 people and led to a brutal invasion of the Russian region of Chechnya, Satter said, “This central historical event in my view was the greatest political provocation since the burning of the Reichstag. And it established the regime with which we now have to contend, both in Ukraine and potentially in other parts of the world.”
The burning of the Reichstag solidified the Hitler dictatorship in Germany, eventually leading to World War II.

Clinton, Sanders platform drafters find common ground on Israel
By JTA 6/24/2016
WASHINGTON (JTA) -- Two delegates to the Democratic Party's platform drafting committee -- one appointed by Hillary Clinton and the other by Bernie Sanders -- said the platform must reflect the hardships faced both by Israelis and Palestinians.
“Israelis today live in fear of acts of terror that can turn peaceful marketplaces and neighborhoods into scenes of violence and horror,” said the statement released Thursday by Reps. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., and Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., appointed by Sanders and Clinton, respectively. “Palestinians struggle under an unjust occupation that deprives them of the rights, opportunities and independence that they deserve. That is the reality of a conflict that has gone on for far too long and at a terrible cost.”
The statement was released by J Street, the liberal Middle East policy group that favors including language sympathetic to Palestinians and Israelis in the platform. The political action committee affiliated with J Street has endorsed both Ellison and Gutierrez for reelection.
“As we and our colleagues work over the next few weeks to frame our party’s platform, we’re confident that we can seize this moment and confirm the consensus vision of peace, security and human dignity shared by our party and its supporters,” said the statement.

'A Clinton presidency would be terrible for Israel'
David Rosenberg, 05/08/16
...‘Clinton no friend of Israel’
Friedman added that much of the hostility between the White House and Israel was a result of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s push for a unilateral building freeze in Judea and Samaria, suggesting the Democratic nominee has a personal animus towards Israel.
“As soon as she became Secretary of State, the first thing she did was to embrace a unilateral settlement freeze. I think it completely poisoned the environment. I'm not aware of anything she did that is particularly good. I can name off the top of my head things that were nasty, like ripping up the letter from George Bush to Ariel Sharon, which I think was the only thing Israel got from evacuating Gaza.”
"I don't think she particularly likes Israel. I think she likes the kind of elite left among the Jewish people of Israel and in America like the Max Blumenthals, the Sidney Blumenthals and the people of that ilk who would like to turn Israel into a sort of Singapore. I think she's terrible for Israel."

'A Clinton victory will be the death of Israel'
Guy Cohen, 26/08/16
Actress, comedian, and reality TV star Roseanne Barr blasted Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton this week, warning that a Clinton victory would “be the absolute death of Israel”.
Barr, best known for her eponymously named sit-com Roseanne which ran from 1988 to 1997, was raised in a Jewish family in Salt Lake City Utah.
A former member of the Green Party, Barr ran for president in 2012 on another third party ticket, the Peace and Freedom Party.
Now a registered Republican, Barr appeared to endorse Trump in June, saying the US “would be so lucky” if Trump prevails in the November election, “because then it wouldn’t be Hillary”. Barr later clarified that her statements had not constituted an endorsement of any candidate.
On Wednesday Barr lambasted Mrs. Clinton, saying the former Secretary of State would “sell nukes to Hamas next if [the] price is right”.

Clinton tells Israel she'll safeguard its 'military edge'
AFP, 08/09/16
US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says that if elected she would work with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make sure Israel's strategic military edge is preserved.
"Shortly after being inaugurated I would invite the prime minister to Washington for meetings, I would send my joint chiefs and intelligence experts to Israel to meet with their counterparts," she said in an interview with Israeli Channel 2 television aired on Thursday.
"What we need to do first and foremost (is) to be sure that qualitative military edge is unmatched," she said.

Clinton campaign manager: Avoid talk about Israel, to keep Democrats happy
By Raoul Wootliff October 18, 2016
In mid-2015, as preparations got underway for the US presidential election, Hillary Clinton’s campaign team worried that mentioning Israel during election speeches could put off Democratic voters, according to a leaked email released by WikiLeaks this week.
In correspondence dated May 2005 discussing the Democratic candidate’s stump speech, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said he thinks she “shouldn’t have Israel at public events,” for fear of pushing off party activists.
It was instead agreed that overt support for Israel would be better received with fundraisers and should be avoided in speeches directed at the Democratic base.
The revelation came amid a batch of emails posted by the WikiLeaks organization on Monday, calling the documents the latest collection of thousands of emails obtained in a hack of Clinton campaign head John Podesta’s personal email account. Another tranche of emails was released Tuesday.
As part of an email conversation focusing messaging, top policy aide Jake Sullivan clashed with several speechwriters and policy advisers when he suggested adding “a sentence on standing up for our allies and our values, including Israel and other fellow democracies, and confronting terrorists and dictators with strength and cunning.”
