My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color and other people's words in this color
God said this next verse to Job, but He could just as well have asked it , of any unsaved person.
“Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? Job 38:2
The unsaved frequently rely on the 'laws of nature', to sound like an authority, to sound authoritative,
However, this type of thinking, is a fallacy, because 'rational' thinking is: Biblical thinking.
We are to think God's thoughts after God. God's knowledge is perfect, But the unbeliever's knowledge and thoughts, are NOT perfect:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8
And God asks Job:
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Job 38:4
The unsaved are regularly arbitrary in their thinking.
For example: They might claim there are no absolutes, ( making an absolute statement)
For example: they might say stealing should be okay.... until.... someone steals from them, and then, you will see that they are not only arbitrary in their thinking, but they are also inconsistent in their thinking.
So if a 'belief' is arbitrary, we have no good reason to trust or believe it, because it is irrational
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.. Romans 1:21
Nevertheless, the unsaved ( for the most part), do not abandon their irrational, harmful, futile, foolish etc. beliefs.
And strangely there are almost an infinite number of wrong beliefs, but only one true right belief. God cannot be false or wrong, not ever:
if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2 Timothy 2:13
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge Colossians 2:3
God does not change, truth is always true, things especially spiritual or moral are not relative.
6 “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. Malachi 3:6
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Done for Today

I am not sure, but I think the promise, in the Asa 2 Chron 16:7–13, verses was:
"Yet when you relied on the Lord, he delivered them into your hand".
I looked at several of the quackwatch articles, the allergy one did not have much on peanuts ( I was thinking of Devon). I looked at 2 or 3 others as well. Looked at the vitamins and it must have been written a few years back, because he said Vitamin K2 does not seem to be promoted.... well, in fact, it is.....especially now MK-7
But even so, some good points. I read about 1/2 of it...it is very long.
Yes, it would be like finding hen's teeth to find a Christian doctor these days ( or a needle in a haystack).
I spent a lot of time looking at the site, so I don't have a lot of energy, to write much on the Bible study today.
But I will try for a few minutes anyway.
Well, that's a statement, not a promise. Here's the hidden promise, it's the first half of this verse: “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.”” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
On those sites, you'll find the truth about any lies that have been told, not just general information.

Thank you Cindy....better today....not great, but better. Yesterday I was just too foggy to try to put two sentences together, I felt that would be disrespectful to God and not helpful ( even when I am wrong, at least my sentences 'sort of' string together LOL)

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color and other people's words in this color
As far as thinking goes, the Christian's goal is to think God's thoughts, after Him ( the absolute truth, which is only in the Bible)
However, the unsaved does not have that goal in their thinking.
For example, the unsaved will say, there is no absolute truth... instead they will state:
what is true for someone else, may not be true for them... therefore, they will state absolutely that: truth is 'relative'.
They try argue with God and say truth can, in fact be: 'yes and no'
18 As surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been Yes and No. 2 Corinthians 1:18
even more to the point:
21 And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word. 1 Kings 18:21
There are not two authorities only one is always absolutely right, and that is God.... Baal ( and Satan) are absolutely wrong.
So a Christian cannot use secular, worldly, thinking, when making choices be they moral, or spiritual choices.
For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the Lord, and there is no other. Isaiah 45:18
Unbelievers are hypocrites in their thinking and actions.
7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:
8 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
Matthew 15:7-9
Recently we have seen this type of hypocrisy in the news, ( just one of many many examples, I could point to)
when high ranking politicians claim masks must be worn everywhere, to be safe, and keep everyone else safe, but then, they do not wear a mask themselves everywhere.
A small example, to be sure, and sometimes even Christians, can be guilty of hypocrisy. ( because they are still sinners and have not taken their thoughts captive all the time).
The unsaved does not look to scripture, in order to find the 'truth' but Jesus said:
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
God's words and truth, leads to better decisions in this life and eternal life, unsaved thinking, often leads to poor choices in this life and the 2nd death, in death.
Also
37 Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world— to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” John 18:37
And
4 By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.” Romans 3:4
They unsaved are often puffed up in pride, in their thinking, assuming they are superior. because they are believing in 'science' making a false assumption that the Bible and science are not compatible.
But it is a fallacious belief to deem 'natural' forces are the only true science.
The unbelievers camp on an either/or foundation.
But God choose the laws that uphold the universe and material world, it is the way, 'He' chose.
3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3
But the unsaved, don't want there to be a God, they want to be their own god.
Done for today.

So tomorrow I thought I would work on this one:
6. Make a list starting with what the sin nature normally does or says and then what the Holy spirit says or does.
Anyone could participate showing what things the Lord has shown them to do differently now that they are new creations in Him.
For example: Our sin nature says, I’ll never forgive you! But God says, I forgive you and will never bring up your sin again!

I just happened across this and thought you might like to hear what MacArthur says about his own Bible reading and study, because I remember a long time ago talking about which Bible he normally read from. So you're not confused, he is making a difference between reading the Bible and studying the Bible.
"I normally read in the King James Version, but just for my own edification I’ll invariably read the passage I’m studying in the New American Standard Version or the New International Version. I think those two are the best available comparative translations."
MACARTHUR, JOHN, JR., How to study the Bible,
I love what else he says about studying the Bible:
In 1 Timothy 4:13 Paul told Timothy how to preach. He said, “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.” Do you see what he meant? He told Timothy to read the text, explain the text (doctrine), and apply the text (exhortation). You just don’t read it and apply it; you read it, then explain it, and then apply it. That’s what “rightly dividing the word” (2 Tim. 2:15) is all about.
MACARTHUR, JOHN, JR., How to study the Bible I'll put this next part in the how to study the Bible thread too:
I believe Christians should try to read through the Old Testament once a year. There are thirty-nine books in the Old Testament, and if you read about twenty minutes a day, you should be able to get through it in one year.
.... So you can read through the narrative of the Old Testament, for the most part, year after year, and all the while build a comprehension as you read.
In a sense, the New Testament will summarize for you the content of the Old Testament, as well as lead you further into the fullness of revelation. So when you read the New Testament you must spend more time in it because it explains the Old Testament. Also, it is written in the Greek language, which is a more complex, perhaps more difficult language to understand than the Hebrew because it talks more in abstractions and concepts, rather than narrative stories. For this reason we need a greater diligence in studying the New Testament.
When I was in seminary I decided to read I John every day for thirty days. You can do it this way too. The first day just read I John all the way through. It will only take you twenty-five or thirty minutes. The idea is to read it through the first day, then on the second day read it through again; on the third day, read it through again; on the fourth day, read it through again; on the fifth day, read it through again. Just sit down and read it. Now about the seventh or eighth day you’re going to say to yourself, “This is getting old. Besides, I’ve got this stuff pretty well under my belt.” But that’s the tough part. If you push through and just stick with it for thirty days, you’ll have a tremendous comprehension of I John.
Basically, this is what I do all the time. As I prepare messages, I just read through the book over and over again until the whole book fills my mind in a kind of visual perception. I would also suggest that you take a three by five card and write down the major theme of each chapter. Then, every day when you read the book, just look at the card and read through the list. What will happen is you’ll begin to learn what’s in the chapters.
Now when you’ve finished reading I John for thirty days, where do you go next? I suggest that you go to a large book in the New Testament. (And remember, all the time you’re still reading the narrative of the Old Testament twenty minutes a day.) I believe you should go from I John to the gospel of John. “But that’s twenty-one chapters!” That’s right, so just divide it into three sections. Read the first seven for thirty days, the second seven for thirty days, and the third seven for thirty days. At the end of those ninety days you will have pretty well mastered the content of the gospel of John. And by the way, you’ve also had a three by five card on the first seven chapters, one on the second seven, and one of the third seven. So you’ve memorized the major theme of each chapter.
After the gospel of John you might want to go to Philippians, another short book. Then you might want to go to Matthew, and then to Colossians, then to Acts. Divide it up like that, back and forth, a small book and a large book. “But that’s going to take a long time!” No. In approximately two-and-one-half years you will have finished the whole New Testament! That’s great! You’re going to read the Bible anyway, so you might as well read it so you can remember it.
I remember when I started using this method it was really amazing how fast I began to retain the things in the New Testament. And to this day, the gospel of John, I John, and the other books of the New Testament have stuck in my mind. Why? Because this is how we learn. Isaiah said you learn line upon line, line upon line, precept on precept, precept on precept, here a little, and there a little (cf. Isa. 28:10, 13). When you study for a test, you don’t pick up your book, read through the notes once, and say, “I’ve got it.” At least, not if you’re normal. You learn by repetition, repetition, repetition. That’s the way to learn the Bible.
