I will try to study this verse by verse and see what it may be saying to us today.
4 And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.
5 And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable.
6 For a man will take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying: “You have a cloak; you shall be our leader, and this heap of ruins shall be under your rule”; 7 in that day he will speak out, saying: “I will not be a healer; in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; you shall not make me leader of the people.” 8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence.
9 For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. 10 Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. 11 Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him. 12 My people—infants are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your guides mislead you and they have swallowed up the course of your paths.
13 The Lord has taken his place to contend; he stands to judge peoples. 14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders and princes of his people: “It is you who have devoured the vineyard, the spoil of the poor is in your houses
Isaiah 3:4-14
Starting with verse four, this sounds like a judgment from God. The very first thing, that came to mind, is how it seems very much to apply to our world today.
Actual children, do seem to rule the roost and often, those that are older, or even old, act like children.
We see this in scripture, with Solomon's son, Rehoboam ( a young man 41) He chose not to listen to a bunch of 'old' fuddy duddies:
6 Then King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he was yet alive, saying, “How do you advise me to answer this people?”
7 And they said to him, “If you will be a servant to this people today and serve them, and speak good words to them when you answer them, then they will be your servants forever.”
8 But he abandoned the counsel that the old men gave him and took counsel with the young men who had grown up with him and stood before him.
I kings 12:6-8
This is not to say all young people are foolish, but it is certain, they do not have the life experiences of someone older.
Nor does it mean, all older people are wise, but in general, you are going to have better chances, with someone who has lived longer and ought to know more.
I think it might be safe to say, that there will be a good chance, that anarchy might prevail. Just a look at last summer's 'peaceful' riots, that went on and on, show a possible, if not likely outcome.
We see an even younger king and even ( if possible) worse outcomes!!!
1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah.
2 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.
3 For he rebuilt the high places that Hezekiah his father had destroyed, and he erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah, as Ahab king of Israel had done, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.
4 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem will I put my name.”
5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 And he burned his son as an offering and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
2 Kings 21:1-6 This youth's reign was so bad, that God said this:
4 And I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem. Jeremiah 15:4
And although in in later years, he had a conversion, he was not able to undo all the damage he did as a youth.
so in general, thinking wide starry eyed young folk to rule is some how a good idea is instead, a grave mistake. One I fear, is where we are headed today.
And how will that look ( how does it look even today?)
5 And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable.
Isaiah 3:5
Again, looking at the summer riots passions are let loose without restraint, rude insolence, 'demanding' rights, by violence, chaos, total breakdown of society etc. etc.
3 They bend their tongue like a bow; falsehood and not truth has grown strong in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me, declares the Lord. Jeremiah 9:3
Respect for the aged is gone, there is none of this:
32 “You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:32

Good! What amazes me is that all of this describes our country right now! There's very few children or young adults who show respect for those who are older then they are; or who show respect for their teachers or even their own parents for that matter.
I will try to study this verse by verse, yesterday, I looked at verses 4 and 5.
Today, onto verse 6 and.... well, we will see LOL

Isaiah 3:4-14
I know you're not done with this yet, but I want to post the passage in the NIV version here. Where do you go to copy the ESV? Do you copy that because you prefer it?
Isaiah 3:4–14 (NIV)
4. I will make boys their officials; mere children will govern them.
5. People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young will rise up against the old, the base against the honorable.
6. A man will seize one of his brothers at his father’s home, and say, “You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!”
7. But in that day he will cry out, “I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.”
8. Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling; their words and deeds are against the LORD, defying his glorious presence.
9. The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
10. Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
11. Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.
12. Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. O my people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.
13. The LORD takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people.
14. The LORD enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of his people: “It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses.

Opps I have already started the next verses in ESV
I guess I have been in the habit because my John MacArthur study bible is ESV.
I will try to remember to switch to NIV tomorrow.
I just use Biblegateway for the scriptures, but it has almost all versions, so I can switch
I just figured if that was what Pastor MacArthur used, then I would too.
I also seem to remember there was a verse or two, or three in the NIV... that were seemingly 'troublesome'.
I have since forgotten which ones, and what the issues were?
But I seem to remember, they were, or seemed, kind of, important?

I will try to study this verse by verse, yesterday, I looked at verses 4 and 5.
Today, onto verse 6 and.... well, we will see.... but no......
because, a glitch happened, and I lost all that I had written, and It was not even in my computers history
and
I cannot remember everything, Therefore, I will give a much shorter version, as I lost about an hour's worth. arrgghh
Also will try to see what these verses may be saying to us today.
4 “I will make mere youths their officials; children will rule over them.”
5 People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young will rise up against the old, the nobody against the honored.
6 A man will seize one of his brothers in his father’s house, and say, “You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!” 7 But in that day he will cry out, “I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.”
8 Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling; their words and deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence. 9 The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
10 Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. 11 Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.
12 Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.
13 The Lord takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people. 14 The Lord enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of his people: “It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses.
Isaiah 3:4-14
In general, people tend to fight tooth and nail, for the envious position of leadership in order, to the have power, prestige, honor, dignity etc. that comes with leadership.
However in verse 6:
Apparently conditions were so desperate, and deplorable, the anarchy was so bad, and had deteriorated so much, that no one wanted to rule or reign.
As bizarre as it sounds, just having enough wealth to own a cloak, was enough qualification to be considered ruler.
Could this happen today in our world? I think it could, and when it does get so bad, (which might be sooner than later)
It will be one more situation, that will be perfect for the anti-Christ.
It seems clear, that the good leaders had disappeared, and then, even potential ineffective candidates were not even interested in the job.
The people were desperate to bring some kind of order, to the anarchy and chaos.
Note: that there was no mention of turning to God, by the people. A society with out rule, will be one of anarchy.
Which brings to mind this verse:
25 In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit. Judges 21:25
and because this is the absolute truth:
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9
I had originally memorized this verse years ago in the KJV which reads:
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9
Either way, beyond cure and/or desperately wicked,
People being depraved sinners will wax worse and worse.,,,especially without any boundaries.
The people were ( and still are) So deceived, they don't even know it. Their conscience and hearts are seared and hardened.
And verse 7 makes it clear, that no one wanted to accept, the responsibility of cleaning up the mess.
7 But in that day he will cry out, “I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.” Isaiah 3:7
This is a vehement and absolute refusal! He is essentially saying: Don't try to stick me with this: mayhem, violence, chaos, anarchy, desperate state of affairs etc.
He will clearly say, I cannot fix it! I refuse to be the leader!
There is no hope to restore order, everything is in ruins, it is beyond repair.
I don't even have the financial or material means, even IF I wanted to....
Which I DON"T!
I have my own problems!
Well, sorry, I had done more writing on these 2 verses but cannot recall all of what I lost, so....
Done for Today
(Hopefully, my computer or the net or whatever, will behave better tomorrow)

I will start with verse 8 of these verses, and how they might apply to us today:
4 And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.
5 And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable.
6 For a man will take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying: “You have a cloak; you shall be our leader, and this heap of ruins shall be under your rule”
7 in that day he will speak out, saying: “I will not be a healer; in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; you shall not make me leader of the people.”
8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence.
14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders and princes of his people: “It is you who have devoured the vineyard, the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
Isaiah 3:4-14
Verse 8 proclaims a complete collapse of the social order, and it gives the reason for it:
8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence. Isaiah 3:8
It seems ( to me) this passage is prophetic, in that..... (much like verse 4) our country has basically put 'children' of all sorts, in charge... And it even, does not seem to matter that Biden is President.
Antifa, smashed windows etc. of the Democratic headquarters in Portland, and rioted in Seattle, Denver etc.
However, the real problem is not the kids per say, but, rather, the turning away from the God of the Bible.
Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law. Proverbs 29:18
The people way back then, ( and today), determined to intentionally insult God, by words and deeds. Therefore, they reap the consequences.
Word and deeds have repercussions.
People shamelessly mocked ( and still do today) God with brutish impudence.
They think themselves so wise, strong and superior for not believing in, what they call a 'fairy tale', and so, they joyfully dishonor God.
“Your glory, O Israel, is slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen! 2 Samuel 1:19
I think, it is possible, this is where we are headed today ( ruin). Those words may be said over the USA. We also may be falling, and in the future completely, fallen, because, we have turned our back on God, and left to our own devices, ruination is the only outcome.
Onto verse 9:
9 For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves.
Their brazen sin against God, even shows on their faces.
Its i the look of: insolence, contemptuousness, incivility, arrogance, rudeness, hatred etc. In some you will also see: anger, malice, envy, murder etc. They glory in their sins, and are proud and boastful of them.
In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.” Psalms 10:4
I think this is what we are seeing, more and more in Post Christian America.... sadly.
And this:
Therefore pride is their necklace; violence covers them as a garment. Psalms 73:6
and one more:
There is a kind—oh how lofty are his eyes! And his eyelids are raised in arrogance. Proverbs 30:13 (NASB)
How often have we today, do we heard about 'pride' as a good thing.... no, rather, a 'great' thing. Deception and depravity.
Another way to look at it is: what you do not see is: love, compassion, kindness, gentleness, sweetness, etc.
Instead, because the world has turned from God they are bringing evil on themselves.
“You are destroyed, Israel, because you are against me, against your helper. Hosea 13:9
I think we can almost, substitute Israel and put in America, in the verse above.
However, this fall and ruination of our country can also be drawing us to a much closer walk with the Lord.

I also seem to remember there was a verse or two, or three in the NIV... that were seemingly 'troublesome'.
I have since forgotten which ones, and what the issues were?
But I seem to remember, they were, or seemed, kind of, important? When MacArthur is preaching, I believe he uses the NASB, but as far as troublesome verses go, there's a number of them in every version, including the NASB. I don't ask you to use the NIV because it's the best, what Bible is "best" is something each person has to decide for themselves. That should be done, not based on what they're used to, but based on what they have researched about how translations are made and which manuscripts are used, and how reliable they are; as well as which translation seems to deal with the various problems best as far as you're concerned. I can no longer recommend the NIV because they've gone and changed it and I've heard that they didn't do a very good job. I don't know for sure as I don't have a copy of the new version, but I can't recommend something I haven't used myself and checked for accuracy. The NIV is very accurate, but so is the NASB. The ESV has some good points, but there are things I don't care for as well. But that's me, not you.
The reason I ask you to use the NIV is because that's what I post and what the board will show when people hold their mouse over a a Bible reference. It's confusing to people if I say a verse says one thing but the way you have it posted, it appears to say something else. That's the only reason I've asked that you use the NIV when you post. Whenever two or more people are working together online or for the benefit of others, they should all use the same translation, so other people don't get confused.
You might be surprised at what he says about them on his site:www.gty.org/library/questions/QA167/which-bible-translation-is-best This is even better and does confirm that he uses the NASB. Start it at about 7:10. arrggghh my computer lost my windows and what I already worked on today....so since I have to start all over I will go with the NIV I'm sorry that happened to you hon.

I'm sorry you lost all your hard work hon....
Well, now I know I for sure won't recommend or use the newer version of the NIV, which is what you have posted. That's awful! I've looked and searched but there is no place on line you can copy a NIV 84 Bible. So just go ahead and post it any way you want to. I'll post the NIV when I need to and will explain any difference.
What Isaiah is describing here is actually what we call, "the tribulation". The passages we're looking at show us how God is going to judge His people Israel, and the rest of the world as well. First He will take away from them everything they've ever trusted in besides Himself. So what do we generally trust in? First it's often the head of our government which in our case would be the president. It's not that God is taking the office away, but is instead filling it with people who are incompetent. That's why He says: “I will make boys their officials; mere children will govern them.” (Isaiah 3:4) That of course upsets people and they take it out on others. The instability of the nation will eventually become so bad that the people will be oppressed by one another and youngsters will no longer show their elders any respect. “People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young will rise up against the old, the base against the honorable.” (Isaiah 3:5) Doesn't that sound a lot like our country today? Believe me, it will get much worse!
Let's look at the next two verses; “A man will seize one of his brothers at his father’s home, and say, “You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!” But in that day he will cry out, “I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.”” (Isaiah 3:6–7) This is simply showing that the conditions in the country are so bad that no one wants to be the leader, because no one has the wisdom to know how to straighten things out again. They don't have the wisdom because wisdom starts with the fear of the Lord. Just as we are now seeing bad things happen in our country that have never happened before and generally only happen in countries where there's anarchy, so that will continue, and it will get worse. Why? It will especially get worse once God removes His Church from this world, because everyone left will be fools. Here is the definition of a fool: “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.” (Psalm 14:1)

So Biblegateway has a 1995 NASB
So can I just use that?
I will this weekend, but if it will cause problems, I can still use NIV if you wish.
But it is true that 'my' MacArthur study bible is ESV LOL
However, it might be good for me to see how the NASB reads. :)
I would love to have the new legacy Bible MacArthur said they are doing!!! I wonder how long before it comes out and more to the point, how spendy?
If at all possible tho, it would be neat to be able to have it. I wonder if MacArthur's study notes will be in?

Note: I am using the NASB version today:
I will start with verse 10 of these verses, and how they might apply to us today:
4 And I will make mere lads their princes, And capricious children will rule over them,
5 And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will storm against the elder And the inferior against the honorable.
6 When a man lays hold of his brother in his father’s house, saying, “You have a cloak, you shall be our ruler, And these ruins will be under your charge,”
7 He will protest on that day, saying, “I will not be your healer, For in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; You should not appoint me ruler of the people.”
8 For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen, Because their speech and their actions are against the Lord, To rebel against His glorious presence.
9 The expression of their faces bears witness against them, And they display their sin like Sodom; They do not even conceal it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves.
10 Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.
11 Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him.
12 O My people! Their oppressors [n]are children, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths.
13 The Lord arises to contend, And stands to judge the people.
14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, “It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
Isaiah 3:4-14
Verse 10 states:
10 Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions. Isaiah 3:10
God will remember His children even in times of judgment. However, this does not mean they will not have any suffering.
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Who are these 'righteous'?
6 Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.
It was not because they kept the law, but because they believed in the Lord ( their faith).
I think this is very applicable to Christians today, and in the coming days. We need to keep this in mind:
12 Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will be well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly. Ecclesiastes 8:12
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Galatians 6:7,8
So this is more about eternal life. Yes, God may bless them in this life, but many sorrows may also come. Still, the greatest blessing of all, is to spend, eternity with Jesus.
But then, what about the unbelieving sinner? Verse 11 says this:
11 Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him. Isiah 3:11
Don't the wicked often do extremely well? Even David had a moment of envy ( and a tiny pity party):
12 Behold, these are the wicked; And always at ease, they have increased in wealth.
13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure And washed my hands in innocence;
14 For I have been stricken all day long And chastened every morning.
Psalms 73:12-14
Nevertheless, that was not the end of it for David, because he soon was to understand, the sinners end:
16 When I pondered to understand this, It was troublesome in my sight
17 Until I came into the sanctuary of God; Then I perceived their end.
18 Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.
19 How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!
Psalms 73:16-19
It may feel like today, evil is winning, or in many cases, has won!
Still, like David, we need to be aware that if the unsaved do not change and be born again, their end will NOT be something, to envy!
The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Psalms:1:4

11 Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him.
12 O My people! Their oppressors are children, And women rule over them.
Verse 12 starts with a very sad lament:
12 O My people! Their oppressors are children, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths.
Isaiah 3:12
I can't help but see, how much this relates to today's world! Rude insolent children, thinking they know everything, and are demanding all control and power, and are becoming, cruel tyrants.
And in our world today, woman are demanding to be in control, they have been greatly offended by this verse below, (basically forever), and now 'seem' to be able to over turn it!
"To the woman He said, 'I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you shall deliver children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.'"
Genesis 3:16, NASB
However, God said this, in response the Eve and Adam's disobedience.
I tend to think, that since we are all sinners, woman have always chaffed at this verse Genesis 3:16, and woman then, and now, desire to be in control of husbands, and all men. The very words: "Women's liberation' ,pretty much says it all.
Many woman see men as: chauvinistic 'pigs', tyrants, bullies, inferior, etc etc. And indeed, that is what 'some' men are.... but most certainly not all.
But that is NOT, what God intended for the relationship between men and woman ( and especially marriage) to be.
The husband was to be a self-sacrificing leader, protector, picture of Christ etc.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, Ephesians 5:25
The 'rule' over woman was not to be as a cruel tyrant. And women were not to be 'slaves', but to 'respect' their husbands:
33 Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33
Yet, it seems even that is asking too much, for many women in today's world.
the 2nd half of verse 12 again has the same lament, because the situation is sad, no, it is even tragic!
........O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths. Isaiah 3:12
So many people are being led astray today ( as they were in days gone by). Some many lies, and confusion.
Nevertheless, people adamantly refuse to go to the ONLY true TRUTH: God's word, the Bible.
It was sad, a 'friend' from a long time ago posted a reply to something Leonard posted ( about a lot more Jews moving to Israel)
And she wrote: Shame shame shame on you.
He was confused at her response
And she relied she was sick and tired of:
"Bible bashing Christians!!!"
I remember as a teenager, I had decided I would go for "anything' but....Christian!
I did repent of that foolishness, about 20 years later but many never do and I can relate to Isaiah's lament
........O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths. Isaiah 3:12
The people ( way too many) go though the wide gate and broad ways that lead to destruction. However, to say that, would be to be a Bible bashing, thumping Christian.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
This will be short, as I have to get ready for church.

People who complain that God allows suffering, don't seem to know or realize, there is coming a time when verse 13 judgment, will happen.
13 The Lord arises to contend, And stands to judge the people. Isaiah 3:13
God will plead His own cause against insolent, ungrateful, greedy, wicked, and foolish men.
Arise, O God, and plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You all day long. Psalms 74:22
God arises and stands to judge and pass sentence on the wicked people.
And what have the wealthy powerful wicked people done ( and not done)?
14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, “It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses. Isaiah 3:14
The rich and powerful had been given much, and will be called into a strict account. Instead, they had disregarded and oppressed the poor, and showed them no pity or compassion.
The leaders, the rich and powerful did not do this:
7 if a man does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing, Ezekiel 18:7
Nor this:
10 Nor shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:10
They did not follow this either:
7 “If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother; Deuteronomy 15:7
Instead they were: greedy, covetousness, materialistic, self-centered, cruel, and not just.
Today, I have a bad headache and neck ache, So this is shorter. I will probably move one to another topic, tomorrow Do you have any one especially in mind?

I will look at the video...I basically look at anything he says LOL
But my MacArthur study Bible is ESV....so I sometimes check his notes if I am not sure about a verse
He often has a lot of things I wouldn't know, like a lot of history backgound etc etc.
So, that, and I had also heard the new NIV had a lot of issues. What? Wait......where is my today's post oh noooooo I will go see if it's in my history because, it is not showing up
Can I scream now?
Oh wait! I found it!!!
It was way above again! sigh So I will re-post it now.
I have the MacArthur Study Bible, the MacArthur Handbook, the MacArthur Topical Bible, the MacArthur Bible Study series, and a bunch of his books in my Bible Library. In fact, so far I have 41 of His books. Not to mention that I've been listening to his sermons for years as well. So I'm very aware of what he says about everything. Thanks for re posting that for me! I appreciate it, especially today!
I will start with verse 8 of these verses, and how they might apply to us today:
4 And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.
5 And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable.

Verse 8 proclaims a complete collapse of the social order, and it gives the reason for it:

I think we can almost, substitute Israel and put in America, in the verse above.
However, this fall and ruination of our country can also be drawing us to a much closer walk with the Lord.
Done for Today
I totally agree that it can all be said about America; in fact, it can be said about every country all over the world. There is not a single one that has become or remained moral in their words and actions, and certainly none of them come close to following the Lord. That goes for Israel as well, unfortunately. But then in Matthew 12:43–45 the Lord showed how Israel had become 7 times worse then they were before being taken captive by Babylon. Here's what Wiersbe says about it: The parable in vv. 43–45 might be termed “reformation without inward regeneration.” The Jews came back from captivity purged from their sin of idolatry. The “house” had been swept clean, but it was still empty. They had religion and outward morality, but their hearts were empty and their religion was vain. Consequently, Satan was able to reenter the house with other sins, and the latter end of the nation was worse than the first! In the OT, the Jews worshiped idols, but in the NT they killed their own Messiah! This same thing happens to individuals. How easy it is to “reform,” join a church, and live respectably, without Jesus Christ dwelling in the heart. This “false righteousness” will last only for a time; then Satan will get hold of that empty life and ruin it. Religion means cleaning up the outside; salvation means new life and holiness on the inside. See 2 Peter 2:20–22. Wiersbe’s. Sadly, Israel is no closer to God then the Muslims are and that's hard to think, much less say. We want them to know their Savior and pray they will. A few will come to know Him thanks to His mercy, but as a Nation they will have to wait until the end of the Tribulation before they will finally follow the Lord and truly love Him.
But God as always has a remnant He has kept for Himself and we are blessed to be among them!
I don't care. I'll just try and catch the translation mistakes, but most likely not today, I'm too tired. By the way, whenever Macarthur or I talk about "mistakes" or "differences" in a translation or version of the Bible, they aren't mistakes like one person fills a bucket of water, and another one dumps it out. Instead they all say the same thing, but at times use different words or phrases to do so. Since the Holy Spirit is the one teaching us, unless the person isn't saved, we can learn everything from the very oldest version which has words and phrases we've never even heard of before as they've gone out of use. The only version that's 100 percent perfect is what we have in the original languages, but most of us can't read those languages so we rely on others to translate them for us. It's no different then if Eva came here and translated what I write into Greek for herself. She'd probably get it 99.9% right, with possibly a slight difference in a meaning of a word that she may be unfamiliar with.
13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure And washed my hands in innocence;
Psalms:1:4
Done for Today
Yes, they're righteous due to their faith in God, but because of their faith and love for Him, they do their best to obey His Word.
Note: I am using the NASB version today:
I will start with verse 12 of these verses, and how they might apply to us today:
4 And I will make mere lads their princes, And capricious children will rule over them,
5 And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will storm against the elder And the inferior against the honorable.
6 When a man lays hold of his brother in his father’s house, saying, “You have a cloak, you shall be our ruler, And these ruins will be under your charge,”

10 Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.
11 Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him.
12 O My people! Their oppressors are children, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths.
13 The Lord arises to contend, And stands to judge the people.
14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, “It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
Isaiah 3:4-14
Done for Today
Well done!

14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, “It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
Isaiah 3:4-14
Done for today.
Well done! Either way is fine, either look at this some more or go on to something else.
