Yep, it's snowing again.... I love watching the squirrels and the way they use the tree limbs like they were highways. I'm blessed because sitting here at my computer, all i have to do is look up a bit and I can watch them running all over the trees. I thought for sure the snow would slow them down, but it doesn't. They scamper across the tree limbs just as fast as they do in the summer! In fact, just the other day I watched two little ones playing with each other in the trees. It looked like they were playing tag! And they don't just use what I would consider the safe tree limbs either, but even run along the ones that are real thin and can barely hold their weight! In fact, sometimes the tree limb doesn't hold their weight, and it bends down. The first time I saw that I was sure the squirrel was going to fall! Nope he just kept running and when the one he was on came down low enough so he could jump to the one he wanted, he jumped right over to it! In other words, they use them like we use elevators!
Have a great day everyone!

I think squirrels like to play tag together, I haven't seen a squirrel in many years, they are not around here where I live, there is not the right kind of trees for them here only large bushes with thorns. Haven't been in the mountain where the trees are, but this time of year is when men on motorcycles and people with RV's go to the mountains to enjoy themselves while the weather is still cool.

I didn't realize that Marlene. I guess I just wasn't thinking, as I thought squirrels could be found everywhere. What you said makes sense though. If I was a squirrel, I wouldn't want to live in those conditions lol
Jennifer's been sick this past week and was told to get tested for covid for the 4th time! It was negative of course. I swear it's like they want people to have it. She's feeling much better now though.

Good Morning all! I hope you had a good weekend.
Jenn got notified that she once again doesn't have covid. She called me on Friday and I asked her about her symptoms and then told her to start taking the antibiotic they'd given her in case she needed it. I felt sure that the problem behind all her symptoms was either a sinus infection or ear infection or most likely, both.(She's had that problem since she was a baby). So she started taking it and was feeling 99% better by Sunday! So much so that she even came over to visit for a bit. She told me that she told the doctor she had started taking the antibiotics and when they asked why, she told them, "because my Mom told me too!"

True Marlene. There's a lot of people who simply don't know what's wrong with their child's health. I just thought it was funny that she'd say that. We all see the same doctor, which also made it funny to me.
Well, it's finally quit snowing. I thought it was going to stop yesterday afternoon so went out and cleared away a ton of snow so I could have a spot near the deck where I could put out some bird food, which I did. Problem is that it didn't stop snowing until sometime last night so the food I put out is buried. I can't get to the bird feeders as the snow is way too deep.

Cindy maybe the birds can find the birdseed in the snow. I am still putting birdseed out for the chickadee small birds and their friends. Seven I don't understand what you mean when you said the vaccine is running through? I just finished watching this Christian movie. The life and works of 19th-century circuit rider Robert S. Sheffey. Preacher that rode his horse in the countryside of west Virginia.

So we've been without hot water for 3 plus weeks.
The plumber and electrician Came Monday
Fancy new water heater....with them
They came at the crack of dawn (well 9 ish) and were there all day
We did go shopping in the afternoon to take a break from it all
Driving back home, we said to each other won't it be nice to have hot water....
Yeah....it 'would'have been nice.....
But no.... not until this coming Friday
( actually it was going to have been another 3 weeks)
But with super freezing weather coming our way they decided it was more of an emergency for us...
Aha! Some benefit to being old! :)
Of course that means they will be here all day Friday and no electric, water, or heat and it should be nice and cold
And the cats will be sooooo upset again!!!
Have I used up my grumbles for the week? Sigh! LOL

I could be dragging around with me a dog everywhere but now there are many large dogs roaming around this area and not kept on a leash. Barbra, how are you doing girl, at least you and hubby don't have to put the water heater in yourself, we have a hot water heater just waiting for us to install, I know hubby will get huffy doing that work and I am clueless, just there to help, but we will get er done, one of these days. lol

Anna! LOL
I need you to move here.....I am looking at the glass: half empty you see it: half full
I need your positive upbeat vision. :)
True, at least 'we' don't have to put it in.... Actually it would never get done if left to us We are 'artists'
Can you envision, how it might look, if we tried? hahahaha
It might look like an interesting sculpture.... BEFORE, it blew up!!
It took the plumber from 9-5
He had to take out the old heater put in the new fix the sink leak and sink pipes
and
The electrician had to fiddle about for a few hours
Pray-fully tomorrow, they 'will' be BAAAAACK!
However....it should be freezing and everything will be shut off
And The electrician estimated another all day affair....
because, he has to completely redo wiring
because..... our old water heater, was not even for a house more like for an outhouse maybe? LOL This is what the plumbers said.
They couldn't even think WHAT is was for awhile! I think they had to go look it up it was not made anymore
it was pretty big, but could not heat enough water for say a shower AND washing dishes
We would have to do one or the other and then wait a few hours for the heater to heat more water.
Soooooo this new heater a bit bigger than a briefcase
needs a big upgrade in something electrical ( watts? voltage? something)
( I have zero knowledge of practical things sigh)
BUT.....as you pointed out LOL At least 'we' won't be out in the freezing ( about one plus inch of) rain tomorrow!!
I pray they do not decide, the weather is tooooo bad to come
oh....and yeah since we live two blocks from the ocean, we should also perhaps be a 'little' breezy' tomorrow with gusts to about 50 or so ( maybe?).
But 'breezy' and rain....
IS
the northern Oregon coast so nothing new there!
However, I can do an 'Anna" yeah ( thank you really tho :)
That means, we almost never ever suffer high heat in the summer!!!
If it ever gets to 80 degrees outside.....
The whole town is up at our small hospital with heat stroke!!!
That's a joke :)
But there will be the start of much grumbling about the oppressive heat!!! haha.

I couldn't believe it! But you're right Marlene, the birds did find the food! When I looked outside I saw there were lots of birds, so I checked and thought that Bruce had cleared the snow and put out more food for them. When I asked him though he said he hadn't, that the birds had found what I put out, (and in every spot I put it in too!) and cleared off all the snow! I should have taken a picture but didn't think of it. There had to have been at least 3 inches of snow on top of that birdseed for them to clear off. Honestly, it looked like when I first put out the food!
I'll have to watch that one too, it looks good! So we've been without hot water for 3 plus weeks.

Saw a weather map that showed the low temps in a few days will be as cold as the temps in Canada. Stay warm, there will be videos people take of the cold in their area, I will be doing ok here where I live, but the whole country will be very cold.
I saw a video yesterday that Johnson & Johnson has a vaccine that is two in one, I was going to watch the video but just then my computer updated so I never got see the video, but watched a video that a man in the medical took number two shot and he described that he got so ill, I think I would die from getting that ill from a shot, and someone said their arm felt like they had a snake bite, wow.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I posted a real good sermon about what's happening in our country and why it's happening (by MacArthur) if you'd like to see it. You can either watch it as a video, or read it. I know Barbara's already watched it, but didn't know if you guys had seen it or not. Here's a link to it: fresh-hope.com/thread/5947/kingdom-light-amidst-darkness

Cindy LOL
Here I will 'learn' you a few 'important' things (NOT) :)
'Crack of dawn' = 9 am :P
needing to go to ER for 'heat stroke' = 80 degrees :o
Now 'Freezing' well that's a 'wee' bit trickier! Especially if you live here on the Oregon coast.
See I grew up in New England like you and 'freezing' there, started at 32 degrees.
But then, when I lived in Hawaii for 12 years Freezing started at oh...about 50 degrees
However, in California ( You might 'think' it would start at say, around 40 degrees, but you would be wrong...... :D
Nope, Cali has waaay more oppressive heat than Hawaii!!! So freezing in Ca. starts at about 60 degrees!! :)
But on the Oregon coast where people will plum faint away at oppressive heat of 80 degrees ;)
Freezing is a little harder to get a handle on!
60-70 is ideal here but 40-50 is fine also
20-30 I guess, like New England that is more or less freezing. However..... We rarely see snow on the coast maybe 3 times a year?
Some years not at all No snow here...yet
but Anna's forecasting
( thanks Anna, I love weather it's a major 'new England' thing at least it was back in the day....
( Joke coming)
New England folk never said: Hi first to a friend, but rather,
"How's the weather in your parts"?
But I think Anna's forecast might be: snow coming our way course, that could change on a dime.
Right now it is 34 degrees out not sure if it plans on going up or down....temp wise
Anyway any snow on the Oregon coast only lasts a few hours in 20 years, it only stayed around for 3 days.... I think, that was a record?
Something that will be remembered for centuries!!!
OH.......that's right we most likely won't be around for centuries :P well......not like 'normal' being around
We might be in the millennium kingdom sooner than we thought tho :)

And.......................... We just got word................. that no,
the electrician cannot come today,
not until next Monday!
Is this a test for patience? LOL Not to mention, our new to us, car died yesterday :(
On the other hand, maybe we are being pulled away for the things of this world but a warm shower, would be nice.....sigh
Well, I shall now look out the window and look up :)
After all, what if the rapture were to happen today who would want a car or a shower.... not me, f Jesus came today :)
There is nothing, here on earth that would make say Wait....
I would like to get this, or take that with me ( no car or warm shower....I would want to go right away)
I would just want to be with the Lord.
