I just discovered ( on my own, because someone posted about it on Facebook)
I have a 'new' symptom or disease called 'ocular migraine'
It only has happened a few times, ( and fairly recently) but when it first happened ( having not slept for about 48 hours or more)
I thought maybe I was losing my eyes sight
or
it was some kind of actual demonic attack.
But no... it seems to not be actually something not too worry toooo much about.... but it is and was not great
( I even wondered if the drugs I took 50 years ago was coming back to plague me)
Although, I had been having 'blind spots for a longer time..... thinking maybe that was also a loss of eyesight
But....
Flashing lights, and blue zigzagging lines, patterns etc etc. for about 30 minutes.... (but no actual headache).
I see my doctor on the 4th of Feb. so will mention it to him.
But its not an every day thing ( I think it has happened about 3 times over a few months.)
But one line of thought is: being on electronic screens can be triggers....
and since I spend most of my day and nights.....( reading my kindle is also an electronic screen.....sigh) on electronic screens........
So I am thinking, maybe.... at the very least,
I need to get in the habit of looking up and around the room....waaaay more often?
Oh and another thing, was I turned the 'light' on my computer from high or bright to a darker medium light....so less glare....
I don't love the more grey look, but if it will help avoid an 'acid' trip flashback kind of...... oh well grey and dull it is!
I've been getting these off and on for several years now. Realized my triggers are dehydration combined with stressful activity. Like running around crazy at work and not drinking enough. First time I had one it scared me half to death. I thought it was a brain tumor or something! lol Usually last about a half hour or so. Haven't had one for over a year now but they share are weird.

Seven, can you comment about teaching children in school how to do computer coding. I think this is something new to teach children, there are books even for younger children about this. It seems to me to be a new learning platform, teaching creative thinking. It seems it will come natural now days for children to understand about this, unlike for me at my age.

Lee: I don't mean to say, I am happy it happened to you, but in a way, it is a bit of a relief, that someone know what I am talking about.
I know, I was scared also at first. Yes, a brain tumor was one of my thoughts also.... but it was most certainly weird!!!!!!!!!!!
I wondered if it was a 50 plus year, acid flash back ( I was a stupid college kid in the 60's and took LSD). I had walked away from the Lord, and became a full blown 'hippie' flower child. What a waste! Super sad, time of my life.
Anyway, then, I thought, perhaps it was a demonic attack.
None of the options were good!!! :(
So in a way, I was super relieved to hear what it was, and potential triggers.
Thank you for mentioning what your triggers were Lee.
And yes, I was very tired having not slept for 2-3 days each time, and a LOT of stress each time.
But also...... as a result of not sleeping, I spent a LOT more time than usual, on my computer, and do not have yet the light aids Cindy mentioned.
Tho, I did dull the screen. ( or turn the computer light on the screen down). So far, it has not happened again!

Ya all sent your rain our way. I can't believe the low temp we are going to get in two days, it will be 13* for a low, there goes my electric bill ^., up up and away, like a hot air balloon. That with more rain also, though we get light rain, not heavy rain that would cause a mudslide. I need solar, everyone needs solar, though using batteries does not seem to be a good answer, and they want to make more battery powered cars, good luck with that.

Something to consdider - batteries hate the cold, especially large lithium batteries - even if you had a block warmer for your battery when its parked.
In Alaska? Diesels are king in extreme heat and cold.
ELectric vehicles are generally impractical outside of highly urban places. And you cant drive through deep water, so no good for a farm.
Electric cars are great at restricting your movement - you cant stray far from a recharging point. At least with a diesel you can have long range tanks.
Someone suggested some of our road trains use electric...not practical. You would have to have recharging points in the middle of no where and it would cost a fortune.

I've missed a lot over the weekend! Thanks for sharing everyone! I'm afraid I was up most of the night again due to pain, so I'm not very talkative today. Besides which I may not make a lot of sense if I do talk lol. It's been very cold here lately, like down to 0 degrees even!
I hope everyone has a good day today and stays warm too!

It was windy last night and we have snow and ice on the ground. I think today will be the coldest day of the year and it will be unusually cold tonight. I am glad we finish work on a plumbing problem under the mobile home the day before the winter storm came. Hopefully things will quickly get back to normal, as we still have some minor plumbing work that we are waiting to do.

Hopefully things will quickly get back to normal, as we still have some minor plumbing work that we are waiting to do. I'm so glad you got it done before the storm Marlene! My poor hubby had to climb under ours in the snow when we had our plumbing problem. It wasn't much fun for him, that's for sure! Kelly, I like the 2 new white house fur babies! :)

What happened to 'global warming' when you need it? LOL Come to think of it, we rarely hear anything about global warming anymore...but that may be just because I don't pay attention to the news at all lol GUESS WHO GOT HER VACCINATION MEEEEE yeah I got it today my arm is sore I think I feel sleepy I am good nothing happen YET yeah my arm is sore I am tired I make fix myself a soup then kick back rest of the evening I got at local CVS store near my school district so far SO GOODDDDD I check out international news wire dont be suprise I go bed to early TONIGHT Good going Kelly! We're supposed to call next week to get our appointments for ours, at least I think so...either that or they're going to contact us...whatever happens first I guess lolCindy Ive been praying for the US..hoping just like with Lot that Gods judgement might be either reduced or held off while the righteous are in the US. I include my FH family in the righteous....those saved by the blood of Jesus... Thanks so much for those prayers, I know we all appreciate it! I have a feeling though that the Lord isn't going to put up with this stuff much longer though.... but that's just me, anything is possible with our God!
Sadly Bruce's beat up truck died a couple of weeks ago...it started on fire on his way home lol. He might be able to fix it eventually, but not right now. Last week our car also died. It no longer has reverse and isn't worth paying to get it fixed. So now we're looking for a new to us vehicle. Jenn and her family did our grocery shopping for us over the weekend which was a big help. Just have to keep praying and see what the Lord has in store for us! I know it's weird, but for me the best part of when something we view as "bad" happens, is waiting to see what the Lord will do!

I remember seeing an elderly woman's car start on fire under the hood. She got out of the car, a young woman got a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. The woman got the car fixed, so maybe even though there was a fire, it might be an easy fix, and the car not going into reverse, reminded me of a time when I was in town and there was a Mexican man that sold burritos there every Friday, which used to be more common a few years ago than it is now, but anyways I had told him that we had just rebuilt the transmission on our truck by following instructions from our laptop video and he told me he had just bought a new transmission from a junkyard for his station wagon and all was working well for him. Well I will say prayer about transportation for you, that the Lord will provide...

Well I will say prayer about transportation for you, that the Lord will provide... That would be scary. The fire in our case was under the car and the catalytic converter had something to do with it.... I don't remember what all Bruce said about it other then that. I wasn't with him when it happened, thankfully lol. Thank you for the prayers! Bruce thinks he may have already found another car for us for under $3000. I'll have to wait and see. He kept showing me pictures last night lol. Well so far and so good for vaccination I did have go to bed early than usual I woke up fineeee this morning mom dog decied keep me company thorough the night everything is cool right we expect more rain and flooding almost also Grapevine on 5 freeway is officially close that normal for LA and CA Like Earthquakes and wildfire I'm glad you recovered right away Kelly! That's a relief for sure! So now you just have to go get the second dose in about a month right?
