Dude my mom was baptized first communion and confirmation at here I think this breaking right now A fire broke out at the San Gabriel Mission and completely burned the church’s roof early Saturday, officials said. Authorities have not determined what may have caused the blaze at the 249-year-old church on 428 S. Mission Drive. The San Gabriel Fire Department received a call about the fire at around 4:30 a.m. and arrived at the scene to find flames through the roof, Capt. Kelly, I wondered what now for that San Gabriel Mission building but I saw the video there is a collection of funds so it will be restored, the roof being made from wood, it probably needed a new roof anyways.That building was built well to still be used 249 years later.

Well they thinking now electrial I am glad Far left didn't get stinky little paw on this church turn out to them they tick off Latino community in San Gabriel
BTW my mom going send money to them this Monday you could contribue by donate online by snail mail she was sadden yeah they have relic of the church stash for way for restored so they didn't get mess up but they think altar could be saved

SAN GABRIEL (CNS) - A multi-agency investigation was underway today following a four-alarm fire that caused “extensive damage'' to the historic 249-year-old San Gabriel Mission.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Archbishop Jose H. Gomez conducted a late-morning Mass at the Mission on Sunday and said a fundraising campaign is already underway to rebuild as the church's 250-year anniversary approaches.
“This destruction comes as we are getting ready to celebrate the 250th anniversary of this great mission. But this fire changes nothing. Mission San Gabriel will always be the spiritual heart of the Church in Los Angeles, the place from which the Gospel still goes forth,'' Gomez said during the homily.
