A report of a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita has prompted a massive police response and the lockdown of an entire school district on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Suspect, who was a student at Saugus High School and traced to a nearby house, is deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to media reports.

What I hearing is 15 kid Asian American male that did the shoot he shot himself expect to survived unfortunely ONLY Female student was killed

Talked to another family at the top of the street -- a teacher who works at Saugus High. The shooter was possibly her student. She didn't even know he lived on this street.
Family said she wouldn't talk, wouldn't give their names because school district told them no interviews.

Theres a group of neighbors milling across the street from the home, watching police activity. Sheriffs detectives showed up a while ago.
It's difficult to see the home from where police have set up tape -- it's on a curve, lots of trees.
