Explaining the Left, Part VI: Do Leftists Believe What They Say?

I first discovered this as a graduate student studying the Soviet Union and left-wing ideologies at the Russian Institute of Columbia University School of International Affairs. Everything I have learned since has confirmed this view.
Individuals on both the left and right lie. Individuals on both the left and right tell the truth. And liberalism, unlike leftism, does value truth. But the further left one goes, the more one enters the world of the lie.
Why does the left lie?
There are two main reasons.
One is that leftists deem their goals more important than telling the truth. For example, every honest economist knows women do not earn 20 percent less money than men for the same work done for the same amount of hours under the same conditions. Yet leftists repeat the lie that women earn 78 cents for every dollar men earn. Why any employers would hire men when they could hire women and get the same amount of work done at the same level of excellence for the same number of hours while saving 20 cents on the dollar is a question only God or the sphinx could answer.
So, when New York Times columnists write this nonsense, do they believe it? The answer is they don't ask themselves, "Is it true?" They ask themselves, "Does the claim help promote the left-wing doctrine that women are oppressed?" Whatever serves that end is morally justified.
The second reason is leftism is rooted in feelings, not reason or truth. From Karl Marx to Bernie Sanders, left-wing preference for socialism over capitalism is entirely rooted in emotion. Only capitalism creates wealth. Socialism merely spends what capitalism creates. Do leftists not know this? Even if they know it, the emotional pull of socialism prevails.

Why Leftists Love Stickin' It to Christianity

A woman called the Rush Limbaugh radio show to ask why New York legislators shockingly gave legislation authorizing killing babies a standing ovation. Rush said the main reason is leftists hate Christians and traditional Americans. Rush said, “They love stickin' it to us.”
The Democratic Party has become extremely leftist. They hate America's Christian founding and all things wholesome and good. Their hatred comes from a spirit which is anti-Jesus Christ. Here Lloyd goes again suggesting spiritual forces are at work in the political discord.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Before writing me off as a Christian nut, please hear me out.
Democrat lawmakers in various states are pushing to legalize murdering babies on their day of birth and even after they are born. This is unquestionably, “spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Leftist love stickin' it to Christianity because they hate Jesus proclaiming himself to be the only path to heaven. In the late 1960s, my college buddies and I loved gathering for lunch to watch the original “Star Trek” TV series. One theme of the show was man could someday evolve to perfection. The Bible says it is impossible for man to achieve perfection which is required to enter heaven. This is why God sent Jesus to pay the price for man's sin.

The Left wants everything free, except free speech

Free health care, free college tuition, free child care are the beacons for the liberal Left. As leftists' platforms further regress into socialism, they know the only thing that remains an obstacle and can't be free: speech and expression. Twitter and Facebook are actively aiding Democrats in their opposition by banning conservative voices on their platforms.
Alex Jones's and Milo Yiannopoulos's previous bans from the tech giants' websites were a litmus test. When they were allowed to get away with that with no serious blowback, they went for more. So far this week, many prominent right-wing influencers have been banned or silenced from Facebook and Twitter. Jacob Wohl, Tommy Robinson, and Raheem Kassam follow other conservative voices to their social media graves.
As Donald Trump, Jr. observed, these episodes of censorship happen only one way. Jacob Wohl made a nuanced comment that he would start fake Twitter profiles, as 2020 Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has done. Tommy Robinson was kicked off Facebook and Instagram for religious blasphemy, criticizing Islam. Raheem Kassam was temporarily banned for the same.
Yet Jack Morrissey, who made the post about violently executing children in MAGA hats, continues to enjoy Twitter.
Brad Parscale, one of the longest lasting Trump campaigners, once said right after the 2016 elections that "Facebook and Twitter were the reason we won this thing." Now the social media monopolies are doling out their punishments. Even if they are private companies, they are treated as platforms, not publishers, but because technology is so new and developing, they get to write and enforce their own laws about who can speak and what he can say, with no recourse.

Rev. E.W. Jackson: Given the 'Right Circumstance,' The 'Left Would Kill Us' Christians Today

Rev. E.W. Jackson, a Protestant pastor, Marine, Harvard Law grad, and great-grandson of Virginia slaves, said that under the "right circumstance," the left "would kill" Christians today because, like the Communists, their hatred is "profound" and they rationalize that in killing Christians they are doing the world a favor.
"I really believe this with all my heart -- I’m serious," said Rev. Jackson on his talk-radio program The Awakening on April 19. "I believe that if the right circumstance presented itself, people on the left would kill us."
"I’m not saying all of them," he added, "but I think many of them would kill us because their hatred is so deep. It is so profound, it is so toxic that I think they would rationalize it to themselves that the world would be a better place [without Christians], which is what Communists always do."
"That’s what Communists always do," he said. "They say, well, the world would be a better place without them. And so, in killing them, we do the world a favor.”

Why the Left Mocks the Bible

At PragerU, we have released about 400 videos on virtually every subject outside of the natural sciences and math. Along with two billion views, the videos have garnered tens of thousands of comments. So we have a pretty good handle on what people most love and most hate. For example, any video defending America or Israel inevitably receives many negative responses. But no videos elicit the amount of contempt and mockery that videos defending religion, explaining the Bible, or arguing for God do.
Why is that?
There is a good reason. The Bible and the left (not liberalism; leftism) are as opposed as any two worldviews can be. While there are people who claim to hold both a Bible-based worldview and left-wing views, these people are few in number. Moreover, what they do is take left-wing positions and wrap them in a few verses from the Bible. But on virtually every important value in life, the left and the Bible are diametrically opposed.
Here are a few examples:
The biblical view is that people are not basically good. Evil therefore comes from within human nature. For the left, human nature is not the source of evil. Capitalism, patriarchy, poverty, religion, nationalism, or some other external cause is the source of evil.
The biblical view is that nature was created for man. The left-wing view is that man is just another part of nature.
