'Earthquakes are an attempt to destroy Al-Aqsa mosque'
Shimon Cohen, 18/07/18
Maal Zakarna, a columnist for Jordan's Ad-Dustour daily claimed several days ago that Israel caused the recent earthquakes by testing nuclear weapons or a new type of weapon underground.
While nuclear testing does cause the ground to shake, the earthquakes it produces are unique enough that seismologists have been able to differentiate between nuclear tests and earthquakes for decades.
MEMRI reported that according to Zakarna, these "experiments" are part of Israel's attempt to cause a man-made earthquake in order to collapse Al-Aqsa mosque, the Dome of the Rock, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
"The earthquakes focused especially on the area of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee - ed.) and its surroundings and measured around 4 on the Richter scale," Zakarna wrote in his article. "This raises the question of what caused these earthquakes, their timing, and their location. It could be that they were caused by experimental explosions carried out by the Israeli occupation's army at a certain depth under the Kinneret. [This would be done] in order to test new weapons, such as smaller nuclear bombs which have limited influence, or a conventional weapon created for use against regional armies, which the occupying state believes.... constitute a new kind of threat."

Really? They actually believe that? However when Jesus returns as per Zechariah 14:4 there will be a kind of earthquake so that:
"On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward".

Yes, what an encouragement in these times. Perhaps these 'earthquakes' serve those who believe as a reminder as to what will come to pass, especially for those who are discouraged, the Lord is reminding us of all He will do. Our redemption draws near.

Minor earthquake again shakes Sea of Galilee
By TOI staff
A minor earthquake was felt in northern Israel Sunday morning, the latest in a series of tremors in the region.
The temblor, measuring around 3.4 on the Richter scale, was felt in the area surrounding the Sea of Galilee, according to Israel’s Geophysical Institute.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Minor quakes have continued to rattle parts of northern Israel in recent weeks, as concerns grow about the country’s level of preparedness for a larger quake.
Israel is situated along the Syrian-African rift, a tear in the earth’s crust running the length of the border separating Israel and Jordan, and which is part of the Great Rift Valley, which extends from northern Syria to Mozambique.
The last major earthquake to hit the region was in 1927 — a 6.2-magnitude tremor that killed 500 people and injured another 700.
