A radio voice is warning about the upcoming Revoice Conference in St. Louis.
Scheduled for July 26-28 at Memorial Presbyterian Church, the event describes itself as an effort to support, encourage and empower homosexual and lesbian Christians while devoting themselves to historic church teachings on marriage and sexuality.
"Gather together with other gender and sexual minorities, and those who love them, and experience a new kind of gospel community," the Revoice website proclaims.
Memorial Presbyterian is a member of Presbyterian Church in America, or PCA, a denomination that broke away from the more liberal Presbyterian Church (USA), in the 1970s.

"Hyphenated Christianity is an oxymoron unless that hyphenated Christianity is in Jesus Christ," reponds Dr. Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, in an interview with American Family Radio talk show host Janet Mefferd.
"Our identity is in Christ. It's not in our libido," Piper told the program. "We should be following our Lord, not our sexual drive, in terms of our definition of what it means to be a human being."
