Don’t confuse me with the facts on Gaza
Avital Leibovich
May 16, 2018
...An NPR article dated May 14, 1:17 pm ET, states that “tens of thousands of Palestinians protested the embassy opening” – which is completely inaccurate. The Palestinians have been rioting at the Gaza border since late March, demanding to be allowed to “return” to what they refer to as their homeland. They even named these riots “March of Return” and used this as a hashtag in social media. Why would a respected media outlet like NPR describe the riots as motivated by the embassy issue, a connotation the Palestinians did not use?!
...
Here is another problematic quote from the NPR article: “more than 1200 were hurt in gunfire.” There is not even the slightest description of the situation on the ground. If I had landed from another planet and read this NPR story, I would surely get the impression that these are peaceful people who were killed for no reason. And one more thing: Hamas isn’t even mentioned in the story. Not once. As if it had nothing to do with these riots. As if Hamas didn’t invest millions of dollars in this extremely violent campaign (instead of using the money for the benefit of its own people in Gaza).
In the El Pais story, Hamas is mentioned, but only to be quoted as commenting on the future of the Palestinian protests. There is no mention of its significant involvement in organizing the riots, or of the armed individuals Hamas sent to terrorize. In other words, there is no context, and so readers are misled to believe a reality 180° different than the reality on ground.

What Would Have Happened Had Palestinian Rioters Got Through?
By JNS.org May 17, 2018
Two Palestinian Facebook pages and a forum directing rioters in Gaza gave explicit instructions to murder and kidnap Israelis on May 14, the day the U.S. embassy opened in Jerusalem, as well as suggestions on how to accomplish this goal.
It is not clear if Hamas itself was the group sending these messages but recent speeches by their leaders indicate they were all for spilling as much blood as possible. A Hamas official has admitted in an interview that 50 of some 62 Palestinians killed in recent clashes with Israeli security forces along the Gaza border were members of the Palestinian terrorist group.
What is critical is that Gazans were encouraged to bring weapons to the demonstrations and use these weapons to either murder or capture Israelis. Israeli soldiers were facing the threat of Palestinians who were using the cover of demonstrating civilians to attempt to break through the border with the goal of murdering and kidnapping Israelis.
The following are the instructions to bring weapons, murder "soldiers and settlers," and kidnap Israeli citizens for use as bargaining chips to impose conditions on Israel:
"Rebelling young people,
Treat seriously and do not take lightly the requests to bring a knife, dagger, or handgun, if you have one, and to leave them under your clothes and not use them or show them, except if you identify one of the Israeli soldiers or settlers. Do not kill Israeli civilians, instead hand them over to the resistance immediately, because this is the point that Israel fears, as it knows that the capturer can set any condition he wants."

Hamas’ Theater of the Absurd: ‘Cannibals in Gaza’
By Ariel Nathan Pasko May 23, 2018
A few weeks ago, I turned on my computer and saw the most outrageous video of the year. The ‘brave’ teenage and twenty-something Palestinian ‘revolutionaries’ in Gaza, ‘resisting the occupation’ by the border fence, throwing rocks at the IDF, then retreating behind what looks to be a boy of 4-5 years old.
Brave Palestinian revolutionaries, using little children as Human Shields.
In another scene, a small boy is seen kicking and flailing his arms trying to escape someone wearing a Red Crescent vest, who seems to be trying to put him in the line of fire. Then there’s the photo of the baby in a diaper, holding a rock. Or, the video of four guys carrying someone off in a stretcher, and after they think they’re out of camera range, stop, and the ‘wounded one’ get off and picks up a rock to throw.
Hamas’s latest Theater of the Absurd production: “Cannibals in Gaza,” was in full swing.
Sure, the loony Left will say, “they are training them to participate in the Palestinian Revolution.” But by what standards of humanity are they behaving? Certainly not by what we thought we had evolved to by the 21st Century.

Israeli children counter flaming kites with peace balloons
By TOI staff 15 June 2018
As the Hamas terror group threatened to launch 5,000 flaming kites and balloons at Israel on Friday, Israeli children at the Gaza border countered with an airborne message of peace.
At Kibbutz Nir Am, which has suffered a number of fires sparked by burning kites flown from Gaza, children and residents launched balloons carrying candy towards the Palestinian enclave, Hadashot TV news reported.
Additionally, kibbutz members on Saturday will replant groves at Nir Am burned by the kites in a message of “they burn and we plant,” the network said.
Nir Am is one of a number of border communities to have had its fields burned as a result of flaming kites and balloons sent over the border as part of the Hamas-led “March of Return” protests.
Just now: children at Kibbutz Nir Am are flying over balloons with candy to #Gaza. The children in Gaza, who are innocent victims of the cruel #Hamas regime, deserve to know that children in #Israel don’t hate them.#SaveGazaFromHamas #StopTheTerrorKites Via @ndvori pic.twitter.com/ZE1uAKoTHV

Haley Decries ‘Morally Bankrupt’ UN
By JNS June 14, 2018
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15
...Prior to the resolution’s adoption, the United States attempted to add an amendment condemning Hamas. However, that amendment, which was supported by a slim majority of countries, 62-58, was ultimately rejected on procedural grounds after failing to achieve a two-thirds majority.
“The nature of this resolution clearly demonstrates that politics is driving the day. It is totally one-sided. It makes not one mention of the Hamas terrorists who routinely initiate the violence in Gaza,” U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told the U.N. body.
In his address prior to the vote, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon harshly criticized the countries supporting the resolution.
“The resolution before you today does not protect innocent Palestinians. It does not protect innocent Israelis. It does not condemn, does not even mention, Hamas the internationally recognized terrorist organization directly responsible the violence in our region,” he said. “By supporting this resolution, you are colluding with a terrorist organization. By supporting this resolution, you are empowering Hamas.”
Turning to the sponsors and supporters of the resolution, Ambassador Danon said: “I have a simple message for those who support this resolution. You are the ammunition for Hamas’s guns; you are the warheads for its missiles.”
Following the vote, Haley issued a statement saying that the United Nations “made the morally bankrupt judgement that the recent Gaza violence is all Israel’s fault.”
