Iran Threatens Israel: Syria Strike ‘Will Not Go Unanswered’
by Simon Kent 10 Apr 2018
A senior Iranian official threatened Israel with retribution, warning its airstrike on a Syrian air base that killed seven Iranians “will not go unanswered.”
Ali Akbar Velayati, an aide to Iran’s supreme leader, delivered his judgement – in which he called the attack an Israeli “crime” – on arrival in the Syrian capital Damascus on Tuesday.
Iran is one of President Bashar Assad’s strongest backers and has sent thousands of Iran-backed terrorists to back his army in the field.
Velayati was quoted by the country’s state-run news agency IRNA.
Syria and its Russian ally accused Israel on Monday of carrying out the deadly dawn bombing raid on the military airbase, as global outrage mounted over an alleged poison gas attack on the outskirts of Damascus.

Moscow turns against Israel, suspects its air strike in Syria was a feeler for a US offensive
April 9, 2018 Debka.com
Moscow’s tone towards Israel turned hostile on Monday, April 9, after its claim that the IDF conducted an air strike on the Syrian T-4 airbase that morning. This claim was in itself a departure from the Kremlin’s longstanding line of letting Israel’s military operations pass without comment. Stepping away from this custom, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that two Israeli F-15 fighter jets carried out a guided missile air strike on the T-4 air base in Homs from Lebanese air space. Syria was said to have shot down 5 out of the 8 missiles fired, while three landed in the western part of the base. The Moscow statement stressed: “There were no Russian advisers among those injured” – 14 in all, according to some sources.
It was next announced that the Russian defense and foreign ministries asked their Israeli counterparts to provide “explanations” for air strikes on a “Syrian military facility.” And then, Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters that the “air strike carried out on Sunday on a Syrian air base was a dangerous development.” A few hours later, the Russian Foreign Ministry criticized what it described as Israel’s “indiscriminate use of force against the civilian population” in the Gaza Strip, calling it “unacceptable.”

Senior security officials: If Iran acts against Israel, we'll topple Assad
By BEN CASPIT/MAARIV April 11, 2018
"If the Iranians act against Israel from Syrian territory, Syrian President Bashar Assad and his regime will be those that pay the price."
That is the clear message from senior officials in the Israeli defense establishment and IDF after the top adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called a strike on the Syrian T-4 air base "Israel's crime" and said the alleged act would "not remain without response."
"Assad's regime and Assad himself will disappear from the map and the world if the Iranians do try to harm Israel or its interests from Syrian territory," said senior officials in the defense establishment.
"Our recommendation to Iran is that it does not try to act, because Israel is determined to continue on this issue to the very end," the officials said.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Tuesday that Israel will take all necessary steps to prevent Iran from establishing a permanent military base in Syria.

Iranian general: 'Date set' for destruction of Israel
Arutz Sheva Staff, 17/04/18
An Iranian general stated that a date has been set for the destruction of Israel.
Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari, the commander of the Iranian ground forces, said in a speech that Iran's army is "much stronger than in the past" and that Israel can no longer threaten the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian news agency Mehr reported that the general said that "the date has already been set" for the destruction of Israel.
Heydari delivered his speech ahead of Iran's "Army Day", which will begin tomorrow (Wednesday), on the same day Israel celebrates its Independence Day. He stressed that unlike Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region, which import weapons from the West, his country produces its own weapons.

Israel Issues Stern Warning To Iran Fearing Independence Day Attack
By Ilan Evyatar April 18, 2018
“Fear not, for I am with you, Be not frightened, for I am your God; I strengthen you and I help you, I uphold you with My victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
Israel will respond decisively to any Iranian retribution against it carried out from Syria, Israeli security sources said Tuesday, referring to threats made by Tehran that it would respond to a missile strike the T-4 military airport in which seven Iranian military advisers were killed.
Iran, Syria and Russia have said Israeli jets carried out the April 9 attack on the base between Homs and Palmyra, some 250 kilometers from Damascus. Israel has neither confirmed nor denied the reports, but a military official appeared to confirm responsibility to the New York Times earlier this week, saying, “it was the first time we attacked live Iranian targets — both facilities and people.”
Iran has said it will respond to the attack. “The Zionist entity will sooner or later receive the necessary response and will regret its misdeeds,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said.

‘If Iran Attacks Tel Aviv, Israel Will Strike in Tehran’- Defense Minister Liberman
By Jonathan Benedek April 26, 2018
“Be strong and resolute, be not in fear or in dread of them; for Hashem your God Himself marches with you: He will not fail you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman warned Iran that Israel would strike its capital if the Jewish state is attacked by the Islamic Republic.
“If Iran attacks Tel Aviv, Israel will strike Tehran and destroy any Iranian military facility in Syria that threatens Israel, at any cost,” Liberman said on Thursday in an interview with the Saudi outlet, Elaph, which operates out of London.
Liberman’s remarks were made against a backdrop of increased tensions in Syria as Israel was reported to have launched a strike on a Syrian airbase that led to the deaths of 7 members of the Iranian military. Israel has repeatedly expressed its security concerns about Iran setting up shop in the war-torn country, near Israel’s northern border.

Report: Iran planning to launch a barrage of missiles against Israel
By JPOST.COM STAFF, Anna Ahronheim May 6, 2018
Iran is preparing a barrage of missiles to launch against Israeli military positions from Syrian territory, Hebrew media reported Sunday, citing defense officials.
Iran plans to avenge alleged Israeli strikes on its bases in Syria, Ma'ariv defense analyst Alon Ben David said, by targeting military targets in northern Israel.
As of now, Israel is not "on the eve of war against Iran," he said, "but the Iranians do want revenge for their losses.”
Iran plans to use Shiite militias already deployed in Syria along with experts from Hezbollah, according to Channel 2 News military analyst Roni Daniel. The proxies would be overseen by general Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps abroad.
