Why humans will happily follow a ROBOT messiah: Religions based on AI will succeed because we tend to 'worship supreme understanding', claim experts
By Harry Pettit 11 December 2017
A religion based around a robot god will succeed because humans tend to 'worship supreme understanding', experts have claimed.
One researcher has said the same drive that compels people to believe in higher beings and follow religions will also work for so-called AI 'Godheads'.
Others have commented that, like religion, people will eventually rely on a 'robot messiah' to solve society's problems.
Last month, former Uber and Google engineer Anthony Levandowski formed the first church to follow an artificially intelligent being.
The religion, known as 'Way of the Future', claims our species can better itself by following the instructions of a robot that is 'a billion times smarter than humans'.
Now AI expert and lawyer John Mitchell has said humans have a tendency to 'worship supreme understanding', and that this also applies to AI.
'We [believe] there must be some higher power that causes lightning, sunsets, and crashing waves - or at least speaks to the bottom of our beings, rather than ignore them as ho-hum background,' he told Fox News.
Mr Mitchell said the same thing could happen with AI, adding that robots could help us better understand religion.

Ex-Google executive Anthony Levandowski is founding a church where people worship an artificial intelligence god
Kif Leswing Nov. 15, 2017
Anthony Levandowski, the former Google and Uber executive currently at the center of a bombshell lawsuit filed by Waymo, says he's serious about starting a religion centered around super-smart artificial intelligence.
In a rare interview with Wired, his first public interview since the Waymo lawsuit, Levandowski shed more light on his new church, "Way of the Future." Here are some highlights:
-The "Way of the Future" church will have its own gospel called "The Manual," public worship ceremonies, and probably a physical place of worship.
-The idea behind his religion is that one day — "not next week or next year" — sufficiently advanced artificial intelligence will be smarter than humans, and will effectively become a god.

Kind of reminds me of: Revelation 13:15
"The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed".
So are we supposed to be impressed that the future AI will be a billion times smarter than we are?
My Lord and Savior, is infinity intelligent....there is nothing God does not know....this machine, will still be just a machine
I know many are hoping for transhumanism as well....what a terrifying thought....to be forever trapped and merge with a machine.
I will always always choose Lord Jesus Christ!!!

MIMICKING CHRISTIANITY: How AI is Setting the Stage For Antichrist
By Geri Ungurean January 24, 2018
Since writing my last article about AI (Artificial Intelligence) I have been researching the ramifications of this technology. What the reader will see in this piece will be shocking – even alarming. But AI is here and is progressing at break neck speed.
I do believe that as John the Baptist cried out in the wilderness to make the paths straight for the coming of the Lord; Satan (whom I believe is behind this technology) is crying out:
“Make way for for AI, for it is the answer to the earth’s problems – and the Path to Paradise for all who will follow!”
Here is my last article for those who did not see it:
Artificial Intelligence and Antichrist: Will There Be a Connection?
I happened upon a website while researching AI. The similarities and references to Christianity were not subtle, but glaring and intentional. Satan knows that his time is short, and wants to deceive as many people as he can. After all, that is what he does best.

**I am “bolding” key words in this article for the benefit of the reader. My commentary will be in blue.
Silicon Valley’s Radical Machine Cult
From afterlife to machine transcendence, Digitalism offers a new promise of paradise.
We are witnessing the beginning of Silicon Valley institutionalizing its religious beliefs. As Wired reported recently, Anthony Levandowski, a top Silicon Valley engineer formerly working for Google’s self-driving car company Waymo and now at the center of the trade secrets lawsuit between Uber and Waymo, founded a religious organization called Way of the Future. Its goal? To “develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on Artificial Intelligence.” According to Wired, Way of the Future was founded in September 2015.
I find it interesting that the UN Sustainable Development Goals final document was adopted at the UN on this very date. Coincidence? I think not.
It was on the 20th of that month when, 9,400 miles away in Switzerland, I first became aware that Digitalism had turned into a kind of religion. I participated in a conferencein the French mountain resort of Chamonix underneath the white peak of Montblanc, where leading technologists had gathered to discuss our future. The topic of one panel discussion, featuring executives from Google and eBay and the CEO of a prominent US think tank, was “Technology is turning the world upside down—what’s going on?”
What was going on? Satan was fomenting his plan to enter Antichrist on his appointed day.
As they enthusiastically discussed the many ways digitalization will make the world a better place, I started to experience my own epiphany: Slowly and all at once, I saw that these people were the evangelists of a new religion, true believers invoking the Promised Land with glowing eyes.
Not very subtle, is it? The Promised Land – Yes, promised in God’s Word in the books of Daniel and Revelation.
In this version of paradise, cars will drive, factories will produce themselves, software and technology will find cures for everything, virtual reality will enable us to live our dreams instantly, and ubiquitous robots will serve us and understand us better than we understand ourselves. A land of milk and honey, where roasted, on-demand chicken flies directly into our mouths, is just around the corner. A new benevolent super-intelligence will solve all the problems we created over the last centuries, from climate change to global poverty, while we enjoy eternal leisure, softly hypnotized by screens, entertained and served by machine slaves.
A Land of Milk and Honey – that is what the land of Israel was called in the Old Testament. A new benevolent super intelligence will solve all of the world’s problems. They speak of Antichrist here – it is crystal clear.
“The evangelical fervor is fascinating,” William Gibson said about Silicon Valley in an interview this year with Das Magazin. “These people are atheists, they don’t have a religion, but the mechanism is the same. God comes and saves us all. Just that in their case God is technology.”
They think their god is technology. They have no idea that their god is the devil himself.
But I think Gibson was wrong. They do have a religion: Digitalism, or machine religion. Digitalists believe in transcending the human condition, ultimately overcoming death through machines.

AI Robot Sophia: What Every Christian Must Know About Her Name
By Geri Ungurean January 28, 2018
We have all been following “Sophia” the AI Robot who was recently accepted as a citizen of Saudi Arabia. Bible Prophecy students and teachers are now connecting the dots, and are clearly seeing a possible connection between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the coming Antichrist. Many of us feel as if we are in the middle of a science fiction novel – but this is all too real.
I want to show the reader that the name “Sophia” was not randomly chosen for the AI Robot. No – it was very carefully chosen.
I wrote two articles on AI recently. If the reader missed those – here are the links:
Artificial Intelligence and Antichrist: Will There Be a Connection?
Mimicking Christianity: How AI is Setting the Stage for Antichrist
When I awoke this morning, I could not shake the feeling that the Lord wanted me to research the name of the now famous AI Robot, “Sophia.” The vast amount of information about “Sophia” coupled with such wicked deception of various groups of people – left me feeling overwhelmed, and I walked away from this task numerous times throughout the day.
I wanted to impart what I had found to others. I prayed to God all day, asking Him “Lord, show me what is important, and what You want us to know.” In all my years of writing, I have never felt such oppression. I told my husband that I felt like I was drowning in a sea of information. That may sound a bit melodramatic, but it’s truly how I felt.
Before we begin, I want to stress to the reader that the evil one; the accuser of the brethren, the father of lies and author of confusion is (I believe) at the very heart of the beliefs and teaching you will see in this piece.
I have often spoken of the whispers of the evil one. In his wickedness and determination to hurt and deceive the children of God, he is a master of deception. The only way to protect yourself from his lies, is to know the Word of God. God’s Word should be a part of you. You should be able to discern between counterfeit teaching and the authentic Holy Word of God. It should be like breathing for us.
We are told that the Berean Church was noble in the fact that when they sat under preaching, they received it with joy, but immediately searched the Scriptures to make sure that what was taught to them was truth.
When a person is taught to distinguish counterfeit bills from authentic ones – they first must study the “real” money and know it so well, that when a counterfeit bill is held in their hand – they immediately know that it’s not the real deal.
Mystical Catholicism
I do not believe that Catholicism has anything to do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is not to say that there are not Catholics in the congregations who have repented and been born again. But I believe that this is the exception and not the rule. Those Catholics who are saved most likely heard the Gospel preached elsewhere or had a friend or relative share the truth of the Gospel with them.
Throughout history there have been many Catholic mystics. Contemplative prayer and many other practices of the Emergent Church are directly from Catholicism.
Catholicism is a works based religion (cult) which is why the Lord opened the eyes of Martin Luther, John Calvin and others during the Great Reformation to see that the institution of Catholicism was false and leading many to hell.

**A reminder to the reader – this is a Catholic website and written from a Catholic perspective. I am only including excerpts. I will be bolding words in this article for the benefit of the reader. I will add my commentary indented in blue.
“Desperately seeking Sophia”
The biblical Sophia is more than metaphor; she is an expression of the presence of God.

Robot 'GOD': AI version of Buddhist deity to preach in Japanese temple
By Brian McGleenon Feb 25, 2019
The humanoid robot is modeled after Kannon Bodhisattva, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy. The robot’s name is Mindar and it gave its first speech on the Heart Sutra, a key scripture in Buddhist teaching. The Japan Times reported that the teachings spoken by the robot offer a path to "overcome all fear, destroy all wrong perceptions and realise perfect nirvana.”
As Mindar gave its speech on the Heart Sutra and humanity, English and Chinese subtitles were projected on the wall as music played in the background.
The chief steward of the temple in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Ward Tensho Goto during a news conference said: “If an image of Buddha speaks, teachings of Buddhism will probably be easier to understand,”
He added: “We want many people to come to see the robot to think about the essence of Buddhism.”
Another official connected to the temple explained how the robot would “help people who usually have little connection with Buddhism to take an interest” in the religion.”

The Real Reason Why Globalists Are So Obsessed With Artificial Intelligence
By Brandon Smith March 05, 2019
...Human systems and natural systems are far more complicated than chess, and the rules tend to change, sometimes without warning. As quantum physics often discovers, the only thing that is predictable when observing the universe and nature is that all things are unpredictable. How well would an algorithm do in a chess game where a pawn could suddenly evolve to move like a knight, without any specific predictable patterns? Not very well I suspect.
And this is where we get into the crux of how the image of AI is being inflated into a kind of electronic god; a false prophet.
AI is being inserted not only into chess, but into everything. Mass surveillance is impossible to manage by humans alone; the amount of sheer data is overwhelming. So, one core purpose of AI for the globalists becomes clear - AI is meant to streamline mass surveillance and automate it.
AI is meant to scour social media or electronic mail for "key words" to identify potential miscreants and opposition. It is also meant to monitor public sentiment towards specific issues or governments. The goal is to gauge and eventually "predict" public behavior.
This becomes more difficult when we start talking about individuals. While groups are more easily observed and mapped in their behavior, individuals can be abrupt, volatile and unpredictable. AI mapping of personal habits is also prominent today. It is more visible in the corporate world where marketing is tailored to individual consumer patterns and interests. That said, governments are also highly interested in tracking individual habits to the point of creating psychological profiles for every person on the planet if possible.
This all boils down to the idea that AI will one day be able to identify criminals before they ever commit an actual crime. In other words, AI is meant to become an "all seeing eye" that not only monitors our behavior, but also reads our minds as a force for pre-crime identification.
