First I apologize that it's taken me so long to write this for you. What I'm going to do is simply quote short excerpts from the threads on proboards and give you the link so you can read it all for yourself and then you can make an informed decision about what you want to do concerning graphics in the future. As for my graphics, to be honest, I'm not going to worry about it. They'll continue to work from photobucket through the end of Next December (2018). After that, they'll disappear again and you'll probably see that nasty graphic of theirs instead. For new photos and graphics, I'll probably use Amazon prime and I'll give you more information on that later in this thread.
Photobucket: What To Do -
So if you are reading this thread then you have seen this Photobucket image, as shown here on the right, somewhere on a ProBoards forum.
What this is:
This is a Photobucket generated image that appears in place of an image that has been hosted with the Photobucket service and 3rd-party hosted (embedded with an <img> or tag) in some fashion on a forum. This "replacement image" is a result of Photobucket's recent changes in their 3rd party hosting policies. In short, if their user does not have the plan that allows linking or embedding, then display of a user's images are suspended (replaced with this generic image).
What this is NOT:
The image above is NOT an advertisement.
The image above is NOT placed on the forums by ProBoards.
ProBoards has nothing to do with the display of the Photobucket 3rd party hosting image, no more than you can control what advertisements appear on your television.
There's more information on this thread, but much of it is for forum admins but you're welcome to read it as you may glean some good info from it too:

Last is one I'm using for now,
Amazon Prime
Prime Photos offers free online photo storage to Prime members, who can save and share unlimited photos on desktop, mobile, and tablet. Share unlimited photo storage with up to 5 people, and collect photos together in the Prime Photos Family Vault. With the Prime Photos mobile and web apps, photo backup has never been easier. Use the iOS or Android mobile apps to auto-save your photos, then safely delete them from your phone to free up space on your device. Upload photos from your desktop computer, and store them safely all in Prime Photos web app. Access your content anywhere, across desktop, mobile, and tablet.
I may (or may not) use one of the others for smiles etc later if I get the energy to upload them all again someday. While I can upload graphics here, I haven't tried it to see how they'd look yet. I know I can upload photos and large graphics and they look great, so this is what I'm using since I already have it. I found out about this because we got Amazon Prime so we could watch their TV shows and movies on our TV. It only costs $10.99 a month and includes this photo storage and a whole lot more, including a lot of free reading, music, games, etc. as well as no shipping costs on anything ordered from Amazon that's fulfilled by them. There's quite a bit of other things you get with Amazon Prime as well and I take advantage of a lot of it, so it's well worth the price for me.
I just tried it and I can upload them ok to facebook or an email, but I couldn't figure out how to do it on a message board, so I don't think that's possible. (or else I just can't figure out how).
