More Christians Finding Their Facebook Posts Can Get Them Fired
By PNW Staff October 31, 2017
The rise of social media has shown how the barriers between public and private are falling fast. Fueled by a climate of anti-Christian leftist bias, the devoutly-held Biblical beliefs of Christians are now under attack by private companies, labor unions and universities across the world.
Workers and students who express their opinion in favor of Christian principles or in opposition to the LGBT or abortion agendas now risk being fired from their jobs or expelled from academic programs.
In four recent cases, Christians were persecuted for expressing personal opinions, without a hint of hate speech, on social networks in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. These countries were once considered leaders in freedom of speech, but now it is only left-leaning speech that is protected.
First, the case of a young woman named Madeline. In Canberra, Australia, an 18-year-old contract worker for the company Capital Kids Parties was let go after she put up a Facebook filter expressing her opposition to a same sex marriage vote. Her message read simply, "It's OK to vote no".
According to her employer, Madlin Sims, this opinion was too "homophobic" to be tolerated. The boss went on to add, "Advertising your desire to vote no for same sex marriage is, in my eyes, hate speech. Voting no is homophobic. Advertising your homophobia is hate speech."

Silencing TRUTH: Facebook Now Has Banned Me Permanently
By Geri Ungurean October 30, 2017
Looking back, I think that Facebook decided that they had to do something about me after I wrote the article on Mark Zuckerberg’s tight relationship with SNOPES. That really hit a nerve, and since then my experience on FB has been quite stormy.
They began by banning me from sharing in any FB groups for a week or more. After my sentence was served, I would share only one time and immediately would get a warning that I somehow “Used sharing in an inappropriate way – even if I didn’t mean to.” It would then say “You may not share for 11 hours.”
Permanently Banned
A few days ago, FB friends were telling me that my comments on their pages were being flagged as “Spam.” I had never seen such a thing on FB – nor had my friends. That is when I realized that when I would attempt to just visit one of the many Christian groups to which I belonged, all I would see was a white page with no comments, with circles going round and round.
I rebooted my laptop, thinking that certainly something was amiss at FB and it would be fixed. But that was not the case. I was being watched and punished for my posts and my articles. I am thinking that if Mark Zuckerberg was questioned about the actions taken toward me, he would respond by simply saying that my articles were FAKE NEWS.
I’m sure that I am not alone in my life sentence on Facebook. They are watching Conservative Christians as if we are public enemy number one. Oh wait – they do believe that we are enemies of America! After all, we worship the Lord Jesus – we are vocal about the atrocity of abortion; we believe in the sanctity of marriage as defined by God as between one man and one woman; and many of us have the audacity to be patriotic! The only “Taking a knee” they would find among us is when we bow to our Lord in prayer.
Is this a foreshadow of what is to come?
When Obama gave the Internet away to ICANN (connected to the U.N.) he knew precisely what he was doing. He never hid his disdain for Christians or Conservatives. Obama knew the power of the Internet, but he also knew that putting the Internet into the hands of those who were like-minded with him – globalists, Israel haters, despisers of Christians and Jews; yes, he knew that controlling the Internet was certainly a means to an end, and in this case the end would be to silence the opposition.
It has been said that the word is mightier than the sword. I do believe that there is profound truth in that statement.
-The MSM uses the “word” to mislead and confuse. -Communist Governments use the “word” to control the masses -Conservative publications use the “word” to speak truth and clear out confusion. -God uses His Word to bring Eternal Life to sinful men and women
Yes, the “word” spoken or written is indeed powerful. It can be used for evil or for good. Controlling the words spoken on the Internet is not only more powerful than the sword; it is a way of pushing one’s own narrative while silencing the opposition on a grand scale.

How Conservatives Are Being Destroyed by Facebook, Twitter and Google Without Even Realizing It
John Hawkins Jan 13, 2018
Today, as you read this, my website Right Wing News is shutting down operations. It has been around since 2001, but became massive a few years ago because of Facebook.
Remember the mainstream media liberals going out of their minds because the Russians reached almost 150 million people with their $100,000 Facebook ad buy? In July of 2015, in just a week, the Right Wing News Facebook page reached 133 million people. Because conservatives were sharing content they were interested in, little ol’ Right Wing News (well, I guess nearly 3.6 million Facebook likes isn’t so little) was driving the same amount of web traffic as some of the biggest newspapers in America. Barack Obama’s Facebook page was 36 times bigger than our page; yet we had 7 times as many people talking about our content.
Ironically, that’s a big part of what killed the website.
You see, what Facebook giveth, Facebook can take away. So, why would Facebook want to kill extremely successful Facebook pages that its users enjoyed?

Have Web giants declared war on conservatives?
Bob Unruh
Internet giants such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube may have, albeit quietly, declared war on conservatives, with new efforts to shut down their ability to get their message out.
And talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh has identified what he believes is the ideology behind it.
“These people are pure – they would never think of themselves this way – but these are pure Stalinists. While they’re running around call[ing] Trump a Stalinist, they don’t even know what it really is,” he charged.
He pointed out that Facebook’s newly announced change in its newsfeed, which aims to give greater visibility to posts from “friends and family,” as Breitbart reported Tuesday, actually does much more.

Facebook to Let Users Rate News Trustworthiness
by Don Irvine on January 22, 2018
Facebook which has been struggling to combat the proliferation of fake news on its network announced on Friday that it will now ask users to rate the trustworthiness of news that appears on its site.
The change was announced in a Facebook post by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Today I’m sharing our second major update this year: to make sure the news you see, while less overall, is high quality. I’ve asked our product teams to make sure we prioritize news that is trustworthy, informative, and local. And we’re starting next week with trusted sources.
There’s too much sensationalism, misinformation and polarization in the world today. Social media enables people to spread information faster than ever before, and if we don’t specifically tackle these problems, then we end up amplifying them. That’s why it’s important that News Feed promotes high quality news that helps build a sense of common ground.
The hard question we’ve struggled with is how to decide what news sources are broadly trusted in a world with so much division. We could try to make that decision ourselves, but that’s not something we’re comfortable with. We considered asking outside experts, which would take the decision out of our hands but would likely not solve the objectivity problem. Or we could ask you — the community — and have your feedback determine the ranking.
We decided that having the community determine which sources are broadly trusted would be most objective.
