Nicholas: An update on my mother: she was admitted to the hospital this evening with chest pains. I haven’t heard a diagnosis from the doctors, but I believe her condition is getting worse. She feels as though she won’t be around much longer. Thank you all for the prayers and support. I’ll try to keep you updated as quickly as I can.

Marianne is doing better. She is stable, but still in the hospital. I will update here, as Nicholas lets us know.

Psalm 118:1
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever".
I am so happy to hear she is feeling better. I will keep praying for her.

I just spoke with Marianne on the phone! OH it was SO good hearing her voice!! She is still in the hospital, but she has made a decision. She has decided to go ahead and get the chemo. The tumors haven't grown, but they are still not going away. She is hoping that the chemo will do that. She thanks all of us for keeping her in prayer, and is asking for more prayer for this too. I told her that we are all praying for her and her family, including Louie, and Louie hasn't left her side for one second. If she can't come here and post to update, she promised that she'd let Nicholas know to tell us how the chemo is progressing. She won't see her oncologist until tomorrow. She said that Nicholas has been a Godsend to her.

Update from Nicholas: Mom is going in for an operation tomorrow morning. She has fluid around her heart. Prayers are appreciated and always welcomed. Thank you all for the help during this time.

I am guessing the fluid around her heart is not the same as the tumors? In any case I will be praying

I am guessing the fluid around her heart is not the same as the tumors? In any case I will be praying The tumor is wrapped around her heart, and can very easily be the root cause of the fluid build up around the heart. The tumor is causing her heart to be in distress, and that's why the chest pains happened that put her back into the hospital.

Thank you for explaining that Cheryl. That doesn't sound good....prayerfully the surgery will go well and she will finally get some relief. But I imagine there will be the recovery to go thru...and then chemo?

I haven't heard anything, yet, about how the surgery went. I just pray she is being kept comfortable. I sent a message to Nicholas, but will wait until after Christmas to check with him, again, if he doesn't get back to me. I want to call her, and just might, anyway. If I do, I will update y'all.

I spoke with Nicholas, this evening. It was a pleasure to speak with him and get to hear his children in the background. That did more for me, this Christmas, than anyone can know.
Prayers are very much needed, for our Marianne. She is still in a LOT of pain and the medications do some, but not enough to alleviate her discomfort. They were able to remove the fluid from around her heart, but she is still in the hospital. She is also probably way to weak to undergo the chemo. (personally, I feel that any chemo will surely kill her, but that is my expressed opinion) Please continue to keep her in our prayers, not just for her, but for Louie, her sons and their wives and her grandchildren, including one on the way. They ALL need God's intervention. Thank you.

I'm sorry folks. I forgot to come in here and update for Marianne. I got a message from Nicholas on Wednesday.
Mom was admitted to an emergency hospice care facility last week. They are trying to stabilize her. It doesn’t look good for her. If she does make it through the week, we have to decide where she can go to receive care.

Here is a notification from Nicholas Sicignano ... Marianne's son..
Nicholas Sicignano Hey, everyone, my brother called me an hour ago and let me know that our Mom passed away. I visited her Saturday and she was responsive to me. I let her know that everyone loves her and was praying. She said she was seeing our dad as we were there. I knew time was close.
The information is posted on Facebooks private prayer group..
Praying for Marianne's family and friends ... May the Lord comfort all concerned and may we all meet up with her in Paradise in the time that the Lord Knows.... Praying in the Name of Jesus Christ...Amen.

I know that I don't have to thank everyone for praying for our Marianne, because she was Sister in Christ to all of us. But, she would want me to thank you, for her. She is at peace now, in our Father's arms. She is no longer in pain. Many times, when we spoke on the phone, she said "Please forgive me, but I want to go home. I want to be free from this pain. But, I still have so much work to do. So many lost souls." The Lord has granted her rest, and I know, beyond a shadow of doubt that the Lord is saying to her "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Marianne was very dear to all of us. She never had a harsh word to say and when she corrected our understanding of God's Word, she did it in love. I will miss her sweet voice, but her work is done here, and God has granted her rest. We will get to see her one day, hopefully soon, and will rejoice in His love.
I have asked Cindy to go ahead and lock this thread, now.
