I am sorry you are in so much pain Cindy!!! I have been having some trouble with sleep.....so far not two nights in a row ( tho that has happened in the past....even 3 or more nights).
Now I seem to be having, one night of 'fairly' good, to good sleep and the next night, maybe an hour or 2 at most, then, the next night, I sleep again, the following.....none.
Devon has been sick for almost the whole week ( it started off when he threw up in school, had a headache, red red checks, and a fever) Now it has morphed into coughing etc. I have to go over and watch him, until Hossanah gets off work today. I keep fighting off whatever it is that he has. It never gets beyond some sneezes and feeling tired tho....but sometimes I am tired because I only slept an hour during the night. I hope you can feel a bit better soon ( I know you may never feel absolutely great, in this life.....but better.....is better at least :-) I'm sorry you have so much trouble sleeping Barbara. I think this has only happened to me once before since I started sleeping sitting up, so for it to happen two days in a row is very unusual. But last night I slept great, for a full 10 hours lol. Pain is still pretty bad and I'm getting really, really tired of it, that's for sure. It's like I've had a flare up that's lasted for months instead of a couple of weeks.
I'm glad you haven't fully caught whatever's going around. It's been going around here too. Jenn, Bob and their kids, Elijah and Grace have all had it. It started back in September. Last month, even Grace got it pretty badly and for the first time was diagnosed with cold onset asthma and given an inhaler to use. She was devastated about that since she's seen her Dad and Elijah struggle with asthma. We explained to her that hers was no big deal and wouldn't last lol, and she's fine now. But I'm not. I got it at the same time she did, in September and I'm still coughing and still having to use the inhaler every 4 hours. That's very, very unusual for me and hasn't happened for years. Not since that time when Bruce was gone and the kids had to take care of me. But at least I'm not that sick this time since I knew what the symptoms were and was able to prevent it from getting that bad. Still, I'm more than tired of this as well.
I hope everyone is having a great day today. Hope to hear from you all soon!

Cindy: Devon has asthma also. In fact, he is well acquainted with the emergency room ( when inhaler and Nebulizer) don't do the trick) Since a small child he has known the routine LOL
So yeah, sick and having asthma is not so good. he also has a 100 percent peanut allergy...bummer!
I can sure understand endless pain getting a bit tiring!!!
Yup!
I sleep in a recliner also and it helps but not with a sleepless night.
I have been, and will continue to pray for you.

I ran errands this morning and one was to the Batteries & Bulbs store to get a new plant light. There was another customer in the store but no clerks. The other customer turned around and looked out the glass door and said, "There's a dog out there!"
There was a shepherd-spaniel looking dog wandering around the parking lot. I told the man I had a leash in my car and he held the dog's collar and put the leash on. We didn't want to leave the dog there because the street is a very busy one. So I volunteered to take the dog to the animal shelter.
The clerk at the animal shelter passed a scanner over the dog's head and a number popped up because it had an ear chip. She said she could contact the owners from the number. So that was my big adventure for the day.

I wish my printer worked if it did I would print out the article, "Worship in church according to Gods word." For me printers are a waste of money to buy because they don't last long before they don't work anymore, I can go to a library and print something if I have to and only pay 10 cents for the copy. I will save the article to an online file. This summer Ron bought what looked like a toaster but it was set up to have two hotdog buns and two hotdogs to heat at the same time, it was pretty, candy apple red color. I used it for about 3 months and then the last time I used it, it started on fire. Grrr. So I don't like to buy appliances like that anymore.

I have been, and will continue to pray for you. Thanks Barbara! Well, I discovered what was actually causing the problem with breathing and it really shocked me. I've been using the inhaler, and at times the nebulizer to try and feel better, but neither seemed to do much at all. Then I finally remembered that I have an oximeter that shows how much oxygen is in your blood. So I grabbed it and tried it out. It was saying that my oxygen level was in the high 70's! I should have been blue and close to death if that was true, so I didn't trust it. I put new batteries in it, but it still said the same thing. Suddenly, I thought of something, so I sat up as straight and tall in the chair as I could, stretching my torso up, and the oximeter instantly rose up into the low 80's, which is better but still not good. But that was enough to tell me that I was on the right track. So then I stood up and again stretched up as high as I could, stretching my right side which is where the scoliosis has bunched things up. As I did that, I also began to raise my right arm up to shoulder level continuing to stretch that right side up as much as possible (so my body would be as close to "normal" as if I didn't have the scoliosis). As I did this, I was again watching the oximeter and and instantly jumped up to 102!!!! I couldn't believe it! I didn't even know it could go that high! I thought that the highest it could go was 99! So, the problem isn't my lungs or bronchial tubes per se, it's because the scoliosis has squished them to the point that I'm unable to get enough oxygen into my body. That's not good at all, and only shows that this has gotten very severe already. The lack of oxygen in my blood is what causes me to feel tired and like I don't feel well enough to do anything. (kind of like you do if you have a real bad cold or the flu). I ran errands this morning and one was to the Batteries & Bulbs store to get a new plant light. So that was my big adventure for the day. Now that's a happy ending to a story that could have been very sad! I'm so glad you took charge of him. Most folks wouldn't have been bothered to do so. Bless your heart, and thank you for looking after the Lord's animals. The bible says He loves them too so I'm sure He was very pleased as well! I wish my printer worked if it did I would print out the article, "Worship in church according to Gods word." Thank you for your kind words Marlene, that's really encouraging to me. After reading that commentary yesterday, I felt like I just had to share it even if no one read it. I'm so glad that someone found it as helpful as I did. I'm afraid that once I posted that part of it, I got carried away, as I have a tendency to want to know "everything" lol, and so posted even more on the subject. But I enjoyed learning from it all myself.
Yeah, I'm leery of things like that myself. Bruce wants a rotisserie oven now though, and I imagine that sooner or later, he'll get one lol. Actually, my daughter has one and she loves it, so I guess it'll be ok. But I have no idea where we'll put it.

Cindy that was very interesting about the scoliosis, stretching and oxygen level and being tired.... maybe that is partially why I've always been tired
I always thought it had to do with being hypothyroid, having sleep apnea... ( untreated....I am done with the machines, they are waaaay more trouble than they are worth)
and mild tho getting worse, bronchiectasis.
But maybe stretching every day ( or at least when I can) like you did, wouldn't hurt and might help a wee bit at least for awhile...might have to try to do it more than once!!! [ comic sans MS]

[ comic sans MS] If you have an oximeter it's pretty easy to tell. This is like the one I have. It's not very expensive. Oximeter.
You just have to have it on while you're sitting, and then straighten up and then stand and stretch like I did, and check it to see if your O2 goes up when you do so.

Cindy: Thank you, I just ordered it. know way back when I went to several sleep clinics, my oxygen level back then was around 89...not bad...but that was about 10 years ago. Like I said the bronchiectasis tho mild, is slowly getting worse. I cough morning, noon, and night.....not all the time ( not yet anyway)...I try to ease it with OTC allergy and cough/mucus liquid med at night....but I sometimes even occasionally cough while sleeping ( it wakes me up..usually only briefly...unless, it a non sleeping night).
Anyway, it's supposed to arrive the 13th....I went ahead and got the 2 year warranty for an extra $1.00 So it will be interesting to see.....especially since I gave up my c-pap years ago. I used it for a couple of years, and then I just could not stand it anymore....not to mention it started making loud noises...they even ordered a new one that started off with loud noises right off the bat....they ordered new part and 'fixed' it.....but it was not fixed....and by then I was done. It was so uncomfortable to try to sleep....the air was 'supposed' to be warned on all the machines I had.....nope and they always leaked water running down my face and neck etc. Actually the sleep apnea has stopped bothering me anyway....maybe just sleeping in the recliner was enough to 'cure' it LOL Still, it will be interesting to see where I am at....I will even try it on Leonard HA!

Yeah, they can come in handy. I've coughed like that for many years. It doesn't bother me and I've never even asked my doctor about it. It gets worse if I have a cold or something and then goes back to "normal", whatever normal is lol. It seems like doctors have a big fancy name for everything and of course prescribe yet more drugs if possible. Recently my rheum doctor asked me what my actual diagnosis was on my back so I had to go and look through my records to find them all. It's ridiculous! It seemed at the time like they came up with a new one every month or two. I copied down about 10 of them and then gave up as I didn't feel like going through anymore papers. I even asked my pain doctor about that once, and he told me that they use a different diagnosis depending on what they're prescribing or what treatment they want to do etc in order to get the insurance companies to pay for it. So basically, really, it's all a lie. It's all about money and getting insurance to pay them, not about what's actually wrong (if anything at all is) with the patient. In fact, a great many of various so called diseases or the various diagnosis's say in black and white that they're perfectly normal, that there's really nothing at all "wrong" with the patient, and that most people experience them at some point. Like DDD - degenerative disk disease. It's not a disease and it happens to everyone. They don't know why some people have pain from it and most don't. They just use it as a label because they don't know what's really wrong and what's really causing the pain. And that's not the only one like that. There are hundreds (if not thousands) like it, that are perfectly normal conditions, and simply mean that the doctor doesn't have a clue what's really wrong with the person.
Like Sleep apnea. They've made a big deal about that too, and yet a huge number of people experience it all the time and have for generations, without it causing any real problems. (yeah, I have that too). (I'm not saying it doesn't ever cause problems that need treatment, only that the majority don't need treatment) Why it causes problems for some and not others they don't know. The sad thing is that they treat everyone the same way - as though it does cause a problem even when it really doesn't.
I suppose this way is better then the way it used to be, especially for women. Most of the time when a doctor wasn't sure what was wrong with a patient, if they happened to be female it was blamed on the fact that they were female. Or of course there's the old "it's all in their head" diagnosis. Yeah, right.... That's what one doctor said about me (because I was female) when I was 12 and didn't feel good. It took another doctor several days to figure out what my problem really was, but he did. He discovered that I had a brain tumor! I was in the hospital for almost a year with that and almost died.
I've had a lot of experience with doctors - some really fantastic ones, and some that were average and others that were just plain horrible. But it's caused me to not have much faith at all in any of them. Most people who live with pain have literally dozens of different diagnosis's, and most of them are "junk", the kind that don't really mean anything other than that the doctor really doesn't have a clue what's wrong because they're things that everyone experiences. It's not all the doctors fault though. I think they're pressured to come up with "something" and to treat the person even when they know it's unnecessary. Kind of like how some people demand antibiotics when the doctors know they won't help what's wrong with them, but give it to them anyway just to shut them up because the person's sure they won't get better without them. I've seen that happen a lot (and not just with antibiotics). But then now days doctors have to give a diagnosis in order to get paid by the insurance company and so the patient can get any meds paid by their insurance company too. I have a feeling that's also promoted a lot of false diagnosis's just by the way the system works now days.
Therefore I do a lot of research on my own when I feel there's something "wrong" with me. Of course you have to be careful to use only legitimate medical sites and papers though, as there's a great deal of bad information available on line too.
That reminds me, I recommended a fantastic book, tagging some people in it as I thought it would help them, but I guess no one got it while it was free. That's a real shame as it could have been very helpful. But you can buy it. It's by RA Warrior, Kelly Young and is called: Rheumatoid Arthritis Unmasked or you can read it free on Kindle Unlimited. Like the many articles she wrote and I posted in the pain forum on our old board, it could be helpful for anyone that lives with pain, but especially those with RA or who knows someone with it. It's not an easy book to read, as it's written for doctors as well as patients, but it's exceptionally good and helpful.
Sorry I went off about doctors and diagnosis. I guess it's like a pet peeve. I've just seen so many people told they have things wrong with them that aren't problems at all - but it scared them when they were "diagnosed" with it; and some treated for things they didn't have, as well as many just plain misdiagnosed; and it's kind of scary. Makes me very glad i know the Lord!

I thought that was great cindy!! It actually was comforting, at least to me.
Like the sleep apnea....I grew to hate the c-pap machine.
I have heard some people die from sleep apnea but really, it used to bother me, and now it doesn't ( at least not that I know of).
And yeah, I have DDD, and pain....but I have no idea if the DDD has anything to do with it.....in fact, it's probably the last thing I would think has much to do with it. I sort of think the same thing about the osteoporosis.....I had pain waaay before that. And, don't think want to take the intravenous med for it anymore. Apparently the density just gets worse irregardless... It could something else, but I getting to not trust whatever that med is 'supposed' to be doing......making the bones stronger.
It seems like more and more are getting irregularly thick but not in a uniform way...I know that sounds strange....but I think I am done with it also. LOL I laugh because of your statement of being the uncooperative patient.
I do think you are right, the doctors are somewhat forced to keep changing the diagnosis to get the insurance to pay for whatever....drugs or 'treatment'. I have seen my doctor take a few seconds to determine what code to write. And I don't totally blame him about the pain med situation, I do think they are all being pressured to severely limit prescribing them. As much as I hate his pushing stomp at me, he has not yet refused to prescribe them. I do think he is compassionate and continues to buck the pressure ( he has mentioned once when I asked him about it, that there is pressure coming from the top down). So anyway, your rant was actually encouraging!! the bronchiectasis where the walls of the bronchi are thickened from inflammation and infection....showed up on an MRI or cat scan something. But again, like you said, it probably is something, many people have and/or get over time. These bodies do wear out over time ( tho some people take longer and thus are hale and hearty into their 90's and even 100) but I think other people...not so much. Do you have kindle unlimited? I don't, tho it seems a person can read a lot more, if they did have.... esp. books in series. I ask our interlibrary loan librarian to get many books in different series, but she cannot get all I want.

So there's always going to be someone who died of just about everything we can imagine.
I've been praying for all of us, especially you and me, that the doctors would get fed up with being told what to do by others who aren't doctors and who don't know their patients, and would instead do what's best for the patient, regardless of what "others" demand. That's really what we need - for doctors to take a stand against all the ridiculous stuff that's being shoved down people's throats. While it's only Christians who have the discernment to know that much of what we're being "offered" is against our faith, there are others who realize that quite a bit of it is just plain quackery and has no business being offered at all. Sadly though there are also many new agers and those like them that are all into that kind of stuff and do want it. I have a feeling that if the Lord answers my prayer, that it will only be for us, because those who are unsaved are very quickly buying into all the lies they're being told - not only about God, but about everything, including medical stuff. In fact, look at this which we're all familiar with: “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:9–11) I've been thinking more and more lately that it's not just one lie that God's talking about here, but instead it's lies about everything because their thinking is so corrupted. (Titus 1:15) Of course ultimately this will cause their hearts to get harder and harder and they'll then accept the ultimate lie, that the AC is their savior.
I've done tons of research on rheumatoid disease and agree with the doctors and researchers who have shown that there's a HUGE number of people that have it but have been either misdiagnosed, or diagnosed with a ton of other conditions that are actually just symptoms of RD. That's why I hoped you'd get that book by RA Warrior, Kelly Young, because I still believe that you are in that later category - that you're being treated (or just told) for a large number of things that are simply symptoms of RD. That's kind of like bailing water out of a boat to keep it floating instead of repairing the hole that's in it. Unfortunately, research has also proven that it's very, very difficult to get a proper diagnosis of RD. Most patients go for many years before they're finally diagnosed correctly. It causes researchers to wonder just how many never get diagnosed correctly because they've either given up trying to, or because they've believed their doctors that they just happen to have a couple dozen conditions/diseases wrong with them. They know that statistically there are millions of people that have been diagnosed with RD just in the US (I can't remember the exact number) but they wonder how many more millions should have been diagnosed with it.
No, I don't have kindle unlimited, just Amazon Prime. But what I do is have several "wish lists" on Amazon. I have two for kindle books I want. The first one is just for kindle books I want and the second one is specifically for kindle books I want that are available on kindle unlimited. The reason I keep a list of each is because I figure that one day i will get kindle unlimited, even if only for a month or two. So when i do get it, I'll already have a list of which books I want to read during that time. (I've probably got at least 100 listed there now lol) I have the other regular list so I don't forget which books I want, but also so I can check it frequently and see if any of them are being offered for free. I did that just yesterday and found that four of them were free so I grabbed those instantly! I've about doubled the number of books I have on my kindle since I told you how many I had lol.
It's been cold and rainy here all day. Tomorrow Stanley Steemer will be here to clean our sofa and my chair. Maybe having them cleaned of dust, mold, etc. will help my allergies. Hope everyone is better. It was really cold yesterday for us, but I still went outside and tried to finish working on my garden. I'm almost done with one part of the garden, but still have other parts of the yard that I need to finish up. I was hoping to get it done today, but that's not going to happen. I just hope we get one more fairly warm day of at least 50 so I can finish up.
My neighbor is loaning me her rug shampooer because mine broke. I hope to do our carpets this weekend. I want to get as much done as I can, while I still can lol. I didn't ask her, but it would be great if hers can do the furniture too, like mine did. Right now the carpet and furniture looks horrid since my shampooer broke a couple of years ago. I can't wait to get them clean again!
I hope everyone's having a wonderful day today. May the good Lord bless us all!

that was really interesting and a great idea about the Kindle wish lists.
Do they allow you to have 2 separate book wish lists them? I mean they must....
but how do you go about getting two.....
I may start one like you for books I hope to read if they become free ever.
Also, I don't think they allow a person to get Kindle unlimited for just a month....do they? I even thought ( when I had some extra money), of getting it for 6 mts, but I think I remembered you could not do that?

I even thought ( when I had some extra money), of getting it for 6 mts, but I think I remembered you could not do that? You can have as many as you want and name them what you want. I have a bunch - the two I told you about already, another for books for my grandkids, one for paper back books I want, one for gifts for the kids, one for health care items, one for Bruce, a wish list for me for things besides books and health stuff and one or two others but I can't think of what they're called.
Yes, you can get Unlimited for just a month if you want to. I had it for a month shortly after I got my kindle. Or you can get it for 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 months, or for 7, 12, or any amount of time you want to. You can sign up for a free one month trial if you haven't already had it. You DO have to remember to cancel it at the end of the month or else they will automatically charge you for another month. Once your free month is over, if you want to keep it, that's no problem since they'll just keep charging you every month until you cancel.
You're probably aware of this but thought I should mention it just in case. When using the oximeter you can't cross your legs or arms. Also, if your fingers are cold, it helps to warm them up first. Crossing your legs or arms will cause it to give a false reading, as can using it when your fingers are really cold.
Here's more info about Unlimited that I copied from the help page:
With a Kindle Unlimited subscription you have access to over one million titles in the Kindle Store, including books, audiobooks, and magazines. You can keep up to ten titles to read on any Amazon device or Kindle reading app and there are no due dates. If you haven't tried Kindle Unlimited before, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial. At the end of your free trial, you will be automatically upgraded to a monthly-paid subscription plan. You can also pre-pay for several months of Kindle Unlimited or give a few months as a gift.
Manage Your Kindle Unlimited Membership How to change your payment information or cancel your Kindle Unlimited membership. If you cancel your Kindle Unlimited membership, your benefits will remain active until the next billing date. After the billing date passes, you will lose access to Kindle Unlimited content that you have checked out. However, your bookmarks, notes, and highlights within the content will be saved to your Amazon account via Whispersync. They are available if you purchase the book in the future. See Back Up Your Bookmarks, Notes & Highlights.

Sorry I couldn't be here this morning, but I had to be at the hospital for my last test early. They gave me an injection and told me to return at 1pm. We went shopping and then to Jenn's house. We visited with her and the kids till it was time to go back. The bone scan took 45 minutes. I didn't think I'd make it through even 10 because of all the pain I was in. The pain was caused by the position I had to lay in and being unable to move a muscle during it. They had to do something to the machine after the first 10 minutes so I asked them to get my pills out of my purse; told her to give me 2 white ones (morphine) and a yellow one (flexeril - muscle relaxer). She did and somehow I swallowed them dry and without moving. Of course they didn't work till it was over but at least I had that to look forward to. I made it through with prayer and repeating Psalm 94:18-19. "When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love O Lord supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul." After that I started repeating all the scriptures I'd memorized. What I loved was when I couldn't remember a line, I'd ask the Lord and the next thing I knew it would come into my head. I was sure the Lord was helping me! And that made me feel better and helped me make it through the ordeal.
Tests are all done now and I see the doctor next Wednesday. I could sure use any prayers any of you would be willing to say for me.
Hope you all had a great day!

I got a letter in the mail today from our local school talking about how the local library has improved the way people can access ebooks and audio online. There is an internet enabled a device that is needed and an app to download, so I will skip that for now but anyways they listed two sites where one can read free ebooks, Bartleby.com and Project Gutenberg. I'll look at those tonight and see if I want to add to favorites page or not. Saying prayers for you Cindy and fresh-hope members.

I think I listed the sites on my favorite books thread. Let me check.... I did, but it was in a conversation with Barbara, so I went ahead and made a new thread specifically for that topic. While the title is "Read Christian Books Free", you can of course read secular books at most of the sites I listed for free as well. Here's the link to it:

Hope you all had a great day! Well, tomorrow is my big day - Wednesday, the day I see the doctor and find out what all the tests indicate and what he thinks I should do about it all, and what my prognosis is. I'll try to come in here in the morning, for a bit, but can't promise as I have to get everything done at home before I leave. I'm honestly thinking that's not going to give me enough time to come here as well. So it'll probably be Thursday before I can stop in and let you know what's up.
I'd sure appreciate any prayers any of you are willing to say for me though.

Thanks Barbara. Well, I had to laugh at what all the images showed since the doctor had told me that workers comp would fight tooth and nail to not pay for anything, because every one of them showed one thing neither the doc or I expected: that the two disks that were the site of my original injury, are so totally and completely degenerated that they're practically gone but what's left is highly inflamed (the doc said they were lit up like a neon sign on every image lol) and is the obvious cause of the scoliosis, stenosis, and all the pain. So there's no way workers comp can get out of paying for the doctor visits or the tests. Oh, they can try, but they'll lose big time! Because of this, he mentioned a couple of other types of surgery I could have but those I don't want to have for another reason. My pain doctor told me many years ago that most of his business comes from people who have those surgeries due to either the surgery failing or even if it worked the person then had a new pain from the surgery itself. Plus, since then, in the pain forum I did a LOT of research on those surgeries for other members and discovered the same thing about them. Failure is so common with them it even has a name: Failed surgery syndrome. So I don't think I'm interested in any of that either. I'll just wait for the Lord. If something changes or I feel led to have surgery (which I highly doubt) but, if I do, then I'll look into it again, but for now, I'll leave well enough alone. It just means that I'll have to put up with this extra pain for good as it's not going to go away. (unless of course the Lord heals me and I've been asking for that, so we'll see what He says).

Hi, we have had 2 months of nice weather here where I live, so I have enjoyed that. I had some sprouted wheat berries outside today since I put them in soil and water, I did that outside and left it there for awhile and went to get it later and the birds were eating the sprouted wheat berries out of the soil, so I brought it indoors. I will sprout some more wheat berries for the birds to eat since they like them. I put birdseed on the ground and it is still there, the birds are not eating that. I will try to put out all the birdseed in a month or two when it will be cold outside, maybe the birds will eat the seeds then. But I brought the wheat berries back inside because I will grow wheatgrass from that, and then juice the wheatgrass. Cindy I have been checking out the ebook site. I listened to an audio of a centuries-old Christmas story, that was interesting to listen to.

Sounds like you have some picky eaters like we do, lol. I'm glad you are able to use some of the sites to get books from. I mostly relaxed yesterday and intended to do more work today, but I'm so far behind now I don't know if I'll be able to. Good excuse anyway lol It's mostly cause I took the time to post this here: fresh-hope.com/thread/3875/cross-leaf

Wow! Cindy, that was really some finding from the x-rays etc.
I had read the same thing about the surgeries ( and was told by the physical therapists the same thing....a lot of their business is from the same thing).
Surgery doesn't interest me either.
Anne: I guess the birds are hungry....winter and all that. Maybe they thought you were giving them a nice treat. LOL

Cold and windy here. I'm doing laundry, my usual Saturday chore. We're going to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter and her family.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Hugs.

Anne: I guess the birds are hungry....winter and all that. Maybe they thought you were giving them a nice treat. LOL Yeah, sadly those surgeries only work well, without bad side effects for a minority of patients. The pastor of the church that I found for Jenn and Bob are coming over on Friday afternoon with some other members to pray for healing for me. I know them as I (obviously) checked them out and spoke to them before sending Jenn and Bob there. Plus, I've met them in person a number of times now at Jenn's house as they come over for Birthday parties. They're really great people. Cold and windy here. I'm doing laundry, my usual Saturday chore. We're going to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter and her family. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Hugs. That sounds nice Margie. We've had a lot of high winds here the last few days too. Blew my door open twice lol, scaring the cats!
This is going to be a very busy week for me. I'm babysitting today, Wednesday, and Friday, and of course, thanksgiving is on Thursday. But then Pastor Rob and others will be coming on Friday to pray for me so maybe if nothing else the Lord will heal me from this week as it's not going to be good for the inflammation. Plus I have to finish shampooing my carpets today. (I hope) I've got to get the machine back to my neighbor so can't put it off any more. I wanted to let you all know about this because I'm not sure how much I'll be able to be here this week. All I can do is my best, so if I'm not here, it's just because of all that's going on, and I'll be back to normal the next week so God willing will be here then.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

I will pray for you. I don't know but I've always wanted a rocking chair! I survived yesterday though. Jenn got to the house to pick up the kids at 6:30 last night. The kids had a good time playing with each other. Whenever I watch them I always wonder how young mom's who live with pain and are sick can get through even one day much less every day. One of Jenn's friends has two children the ages of Elijah and Grace, and she's got RA and Crohnes and some other problems as well. Jenn does all she can to help her, including watching the kids when she's in the hospital. In one way don't know how she does it, but then I've always said that Mom's don't have the luxury of saying "I can't", they just have to do whatever is needed as there isn't anyone else to do it.
I don't know how you do it either Barbara. I have problems keeping my own house clean. I couldn't take on another person's apartment, no matter how small it was. I couldn't watch the kids as much as you do either, my body just wouldn't be able to handle it. Thank you for your prayers though. I know they helped! And tomorrow we do it all over again, but at least I had today to rest.

Cindy: HA! Our home is a mess... When we first started cleaning the B & B is was really hard.... but over time, ( we got more and more major things done/cleaned)... and since it's cleaned approx twice a week...it is easier ( not easy)
because, it's not a total disaster like our place.
Watching Devon is both hard and easy. What is mostly hard for me is.... because, he can never really go to friends homes, and never has.... he has compensated by video games and watching you tubers who play the same video games.
It's like its 90 percent of his life and that is a little depressing and wearisome.
We talk a bit about it ( d he does have times when he writes stories or does art work.....which makes me way happier).
We talk... but less than we used to because minecraft is like his life.
We did talk about it yesterday. I asked him, who is in control of what goes on in minecraft.....he said: Oh.....I am. I asked how is that different than reality? He answered: God is in control.
I also pointed out that minecraft has witches, and other nefarious creatures ( in survival mode anyway)
and so on...... but then, he went right back playing.
I do have him watch 3 or 4 gospels music videos with me....I figure if I have to watch hours of minecraft...that's only fair LOL
A few of the songs he really likes...while we watch... but then..... back to mincraft
One neat thing is Vanessa told us last night, how much she is liking her boyfriend's pastor. He is doing a series on the difference between being just a believer, and being a disciple.
I asked her if she has shared it with Devon. She said..."no, but I guess I really should"!
Today I am watching Devon right now, but only have today to clean the B & B
however, Leonard has doctor appointment...so how much help he can give is to be seen. I am praying your strength will hold out and you won't hurt way overly much. Is there anything else we can pray for you?
