This is the e-mail our son sent us:
"Liam has an intestinal obstruction that is going to require surgery. He's probably going to have surgery tomorrow. We're out if the hospital, he's moved to the surgery center. Everyone is ok, will send more info when we have it.

I did a quick internet search and it 'seems' like this is a very common surgery needed by newborns......
and the outcome is usually very good....
but that being said, please in your prayer time, pray for our precious little grandson Liam.....thank you soooooo much!!!!

It honestly is very common. My oldest son had this although they didn't discover it back then until he was 4 weeks old. But once he had the surgery, he was just fine! I'll keep him in prayer and I know the Lord is with you and with him as is his guardian angel. He should be home and healthy very soon!

I have not heard anything yet, but thank you all so much for your prayers.
Especially thank you for your encouraging words Cindy, having gone thu it yourself with your son.
I did read it was pretty common and thankfully Liam is a good weight, hoping that will be an added bonus in his favor for surgery.
As soon as Michael lets us know I will post back it.
But again thank you all so much for your prayers!!!

So I just heard back from our son......here is what he said:
"Liam had the surgery this morning, and it was the best case scenario of all the possible issues! He had an Artesia of the small intestine, they were able to cut out parts and put the good ends together.
This should promote development and he should have a normal life!
We're so relieved and happy, and should be able to bring him home in 10 days or so if all goes well :)"
So little Liam will be hospital for 10 days...or more! So continued prayers please....

I heard from our son early yesterday,
but have heard nothing since.......please continue prayers for Liam.
Aha...just heard from our son
and little Liam will have to stay in hospital for a month!
