Say What? Obama Links Global Warming to Boko Haram, ISIS
Trey Sanchez 5.20.2015
President Obama ramped up his global warming rhetoric during Wednesday's U.S. Coast Guard Academy commencement speech, going so far as saying that climate change is responsible for worsening the terrorist activities of Boko Haram and ISIS.
"Understand, climate change did not cause the conflicts we see around the world," the president said. "Yet, what we also know is that severe drought helped create the instability in Nigeria that was exploited by the terrorist group Boko Haram."
"It's now believed," Obama added, "that drought and crop failures and high food prices helped fuel the early unrest in Syria, which descended into civil war in the heart of the Middle East."
"Climate change increases the risk of instability and conflict," according to Obama. He then warned the Coast Guard, and the other branches of the military, "to be ready" and begin to factor climate change into daily plans and operations.

How absurd..
Correct! You, sir, Islam and the Clintons are largely responsible.
Oh! 'It's now believed', is it? By whom? Are we re-writing history again?

Obama does not have all the answers. He has to find a way to put the blame on someone or something to cover up any mistakes that came from his office. Just my opinion.

WH Doubles Down: Climate Change Enables Poverty, Terrorism
Trey Sanchez 5.26.2015
In its May release, "The National Security Implications of a Changing Climate," the White House doubled down on President Obama's recent statements linking the rise in terror groups like Boko Haram and ISIS to a warming Earth.
Using "findings from select federal reports" and not any data from third-party assessments, the release tackles the perceived risks to America's national security because of climate change. Citing extreme heat, heavy downpours, floods, and droughts, all increasing in intensity and frequency, the case is made that the effects of these weather patterns and rising sea levels contribute to poverty and terrorism.
Other "at risk" areas include U.S. transportation infrastructure -- airports, rail lines, tunnels, and bridges -- energy production facilities, and human safety and health. Ultimately, the release warns, effects of climate change will "directly impact U.S. military readiness." One way would be in the design of future weapons systems that will need "to account for extreme weather."
"Assessments are currently underway by the Department of Defense (DOD) to determine the national resources necessary to respond to these growing threats to U.S. national security," the White House promises.

Kerry: Climate Change a Contributing Factor in Syrian Conflict
By Patrick Goodenough | October 19, 2015
(CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State John Kerry said Saturday that climate change was a contributing factor in the Syrian civil war, alluding to a study last spring that linked drought-driven urbanization to the conflict that began in 2011.
“It is not a coincidence that immediately prior to the civil war in Syria, the country experienced the worst drought on record,” he said in a speech at the Milan Expo 2015 in Italy.
“As many as 1.5 million people migrated from Syria’s farms into Syria’s cities, and that intensified the political unrest that was beginning to brew,” he continued.
“Now, I’m not telling you that the crisis in Syria was caused by climate change. No, obviously, it wasn’t. It was caused by a brutal dictator who barrel-bombed, starved, tortured, and gassed his own people,” Kerry said.
“But the devastating drought clearly made a bad situation a lot worse.”
Unrest in Syria erupted in March 2011, when demonstrators, evidently inspired by protest movements in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen, began calling for political reforms, an end to five decades of emergency law, and freedom for political prisoners – at the time estimated to number around 4,000.

Global bishops call for 'complete decarbonisation' by 2050
26 Oct, 2015
Bishops launched a global appeal Monday for a break-through at upcoming Paris climate talks, including a "complete decarbonisation" of the world's economy and more help for poor countries battling the effects of climate change.
The bishops said any agreement "should limit global temperature increases to avoid catastrophic climatic impacts, especially on the most vulnerable communities".
From across five continents they called "not only for 'drastic reduction in the emission of carbon dioxide and other toxic gasses', but also for ending the fossil fuel era".
The goal should be "complete decarbonisation by mid-century, in order to protect frontline communities suffering from the impacts of climate change, such as those in the Pacific Islands and in coastal regions".
The November 30-December 11 conference in Paris will be the culmination of six years of work since the ill-fated 2009 Copenhagen climate summit, which failed to lock down significant agreements.
The bishops urged those taking part to "keep in mind not only the technical but particularly the ethical and moral dimensions of climate change" as laid out in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
