KUALA LUMPUR/SEOUL (Reuters) - The estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been murdered in Malaysia, a South Korean government source said on Tuesday.
Kim Jong Nam, the older half brother of the North Korean leader, was known to spend a significant amount of his time outside the country and had spoken out publicly against his family's dynastic control of the isolated state.
In a statement, Malaysian police said the dead man, aged 46, held a passport under the name Kim Chol.

Yeah look like he got his stinky paws all over this S.Korea: Fingerprints confirmed as Kim Jong Nam's South Korean government officials say fingerprint checks show it's certain the man who died in Malaysia was Kim Jong Nam, half-brother of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un. The South Korean officials told NHK that the Malaysian government asked them on Tuesday to compare fingerprints taken from the body with those of Kim Jong Nam, which they hold. The officials said they confirmed the prints match. On Monday, a man with North Korean citizenship fell ill at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
