She just called me to tell me that she is going to the hospital, asked that I let everyone know to pray for her. She's had to take a second nitroglycerin and the pain is different. It's in her jaw and across her abdomen. She was having her sister in law come and get her, because some lame brain nurse told her she didn't need an ambulance. I told her to hang up with me, right now and call an ambulance! The hospital is an hour away.
We are at the hospital, she is being admitted. They will be doing test for a day or two to make sure that everything will be ok when they operate. The doctor said that he just wants to make sure that her lungs and everything will hold up and things. She will be here until she has the surgery, since they already done a cath test no more are needed as far as that goes. She's glad that she doesn't have to wait, just worried. She's tired of the episodes and having to go back and forth to er. We appreciate your prayers and thoughts
Both Leonard and I have prayed and will continue....Leonard most likely will come to the prayer forum later and do his own post I imagine....he usually does.

Praying for Ruthanne ....Lord be with our sister ...Pour out your healing Grace on her and On the Surgeons hands as well... Praying in the Name of Christ Jesus ...Amen.
Hello everyone. I just got off the phone with Ruthanne. I called the hospital's nurses station, first, to see if she is able to talk on the phone and they checked, then transferred me to her room. Ruthanne is in great spirits. Sounds a bit tired, but they are taking good care of her. Her only complaints are no caffeine and no salt. Well, the migraines were so bad that the cardiologist OK'd 2 cups of coffee per day, so she was enjoying a cup of coffee, while she talked to me. They brought her food, but no salt, but it was fish, so she was OK with that. Today is the first day that they've taken her off the Plavix, so she has to wait another 4 days, before they will do surgery. They gave her the options of what type of treatment she can have. Drug therapy, or bypass. The odds of a fatal heart attack through drug therapy is 1 in 5 in the next 5 years. Bypass surgery, the odds are 1 in 25. So, obviously, she chose the bypass surgery. Thank goodness. Also, where they will take the artery from. If they take it from her leg, the artery will not be much better than what she has now, but if they take it from her chest, she will be like a whole new woman. So, she wants them to take it from her chest. Not sure from where, because I have never heard of that method, but it really sounds like they are taking her best treatment to heart. (no pun intended) I'm so glad I called her. I've been so worried about her. She had to hang up, when the nurse came in, but asked me to call her again tomorrow, when it's so boring with nothing on TV to watch.
Cheryl thank you soooo much for the update. Yeah she got her coffee LOL, at least that eh? So it sounds like they may do the surgery Thur or Fri.? I too never heard of the kind they are going to do but prayerfully it will indeed be successful and make her feel much better!!! I ( we) Will continue praying.
Wow thanks so much for the newsy update Cheryl! I was gone most of Saturday so am just now seeing it. Do you think she'd feel up to talking if I called her?

It's 4:29 am here in Oregon . Raining cats and dogs. I firmly believe the Lord has woken me up to do some praying. So Ruthanne, lifting you up in prayer. God Bless.
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 NKJV
I had to hang up, quickly, this evening, because they were bringing her in a borrowed cell phone, so she could call her son with some good news!
Well, first the not so good news. She did a little walking yesterday. Just out to the nurse's station and back. She said it wasn't very far. And she was fine. But, this morning, she got up to go wash the sleep away and had another episode. A pretty bad one.
So, now the good news. They moved up her surgery. Apparently because of today's attack, she is getting the triple bypass at 7am tomorrow morning. She just found out, while I was on the phone with her, and I heard them tell her. Then they said that she can't have her coffee. I'm saying PRAISE THE LORD. Then I heard Ruthanne say, "Well, can I finish what's in my cup?" I was saying, "Ruthanne! Don't push it!" It was 7pm and she has to fast for 12 hours. I don't know if he let her keep her coffee, but the good news is that she will have her life saving surgery. PRAISE THE LORD....THANK YOU, LORD!!
She said they told her that if everything goes well, she will be home by Friday or Saturday! She has to find a way to get back and forth to cardiac re-hab, but the rest of the re-hab, she can do at home and they won't make her go to a nursing home. Please add that to your prayers too. If she goes to a nursing home, they may take her check, and that will cause her not to be able to pay her rent.

We are praying for Ruthanne... Lord please be with her and with her surgeons... guide there hands Father... Praying in the Name of Christ Jesus .. amen.
I just got a message from her son. The last call he got was that they are closing the incision, and the surgery is going well. He should be able to see her as soon as she is out of recovery. She will be in ICU for at least a day, so the only communication I will have is with Steven. I will update, when he updates me. Thank you all for your prayers.
This is what Steven wrote on his page: Surgery is over with, doctor said that it went as expected. We will be able to see her in a little while, she is still going to be sedated and won't know anything till later . Doctor said if all goes as planned she will be walking around a little in the morning. Thank you all for your prayers...
This is what Steven wrote to me in PM: Surgery is over and we will be able to see her in a little while, she done good doctor said and they will have her in the ICU for a day or two but she should be on her feet in the morning for little bit. Recovery from here he said.

Lifting Ruthanne up in prayer. Shirley and I spent time in prayer and we not only covered Ruthanne in prayer but we also prayed for Marianne, Cheryl, Cindy and Bruce and Fresh Hope members. I normally post in all the threads in the prayer room but I have to get more data to my phone. Until I get to the store. We just wanted to let everyone know that we covered everyone, in Prayer. Thank you for understanding. God Bless.

Thank you, Mark, for including me in your prayers.
The newest update for Ruthanne:
Steven wrote:
Mom, is doing well this morning. Her nurse said vital signs are great and she doesn't see any reason why mom will have to stay in CVICU . It depends on what the doctor says but she may be in a room today.🙂
And the next update by Robin was that she did get moved to a room and out of the CVICU. (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
Cindy: you're very welcome!

Ang: I thought I had an account under "Ang" (I think since 2015) but then when this forum switched to ProBoards I lost access. :( Been awhile. So finally made a new account. What happened? However, maybe it was another Christian forum that I lost the url to.
