Vice President Joe Biden reportedly blasphemed the name of Christ last Friday (March 6) when he was defending homosexuality. Christian News Network reports the Vice President was speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s annual spring conference when he used the Lord’s name in vain while disagreeing with comments Dr. Ben Carson made last week. As previously reported, Carson stated his belief that homosexuality was a choice in a recent CNN interview...
...
...“Every ridiculous assertion from Dr. Carson on—I mean, ridiculous. I mean, Jesus, God,” he said. “Oh God. I mean, it’s kind of hard to fathom, isn’t it?” The Vice President continued, “We’re never going to be able to eliminate the bigots. They’re a small percentage of the population. They’ll continue to be vocal,” Biden said. “But make one thing absolutely clear, folks, they are an incredibly smaller and smaller minority. This country is changing.”

Statement by the Vice President on the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia
The White House Office of the Vice President May 17, 2015
My father taught me the simple notion that everyone, everywhere is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect. When it comes to LGBT people, that simple proposition has been painfully difficult to accomplish over the years. But in the last decade, thanks to the astounding bravery of the LGBT community and those who have championed their cause, the United States has made remarkable progress toward the ultimate goal of equality in law and in life. Our progress remains incomplete, but the momentum has shifted in the right direction.
Progress has also been made in many places around the world. But in too many places, life for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals is actually getting worse. In too many places, LGBT community members face violence with impunity, mistreatment by police, the denial of healthcare, or religious condemnation and social isolation.

He talks out of both sides of his mouth...everyone is to be respected he says......oh EXCEPT the bigots...who are they? Why Christians....he even said that talking about Dr. Ben Carson. I know Dr. Ben was or is a 7th dayer, of which I was really sad to hear, but he is certainly a very intelligent and compassionate man, hardly a 'bigot'!

I am interested in why this matters. Asked the same question concerning Romney and being a Mormon. I just don't understand.
