Fires now under control, says Public Security Minister
By HERB KEINON 11/24/2016
Any of the fires currently sweeping the country that were caused by arson are acts of terrorism and will be dealt with accordingly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday.
Netanyahu made the comments at a press conference in Haifa, where more than 75,000 residents were evacuated from their homes because of the spreading blaze.
“I want to say as clearly as possible: Any fire caused by arson, or by incitement to arson, is terrorism for all intents and purposes, and we will deal with it accordingly. That is my directivewill deal with all acts of lawlessness,” he said. “Anyone who tries or will try to burn parts of Israel will be punished with all severity.”

Canadian imam asks Allah to burn all of Israel
Dalit Halevi, 25/11/16
A Canadian imam expressed joy over the fires that have broken out throughout Israel over the last few days and prayed that Allah would burn all of Israel.
Mazin AbdulAdhim, a prominent imam of Iraqi descent in London, Ontario who is affiliated with the radical Hizb ut-Tahrir group, wrote on Facebook, “Aside from the interesting coincidence that all these fires spread wildly due to ‘unusually strong winds’ just as they are trying to ban the Athan [call to prayer] across the lands they occupy, what’s even more interesting is how this event further exposes their severe weakness and near-total dependency on foreign help, as they beg for foreign assistance and aid to save them.
“They don’t control the world. They can barely even control the tiny sliver of land that was given to them for free by the British after World War I,” wrote AbdulAdhim.
“Without the puppet tyrants protecting their spineless backs, and without annual welfare checks from their sugar daddy in the U.S., they wouldn’t last a week.

American Firefighters Deploy to Help Israel Fight Blazes: “We Are Family”
By Abra Forman November 28, 2016
“They cried unto Hashem in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses.” Psalms 107:28
Forty American firefighters deployed to Israel last week to help their Israeli counterparts battle the massive fires which spread across the country in recent days, leaving hundreds homeless and destroying thousands of dunams of land.
Part of a reciprocal program launched in 2009, the firefighters came from as far away as Dallas and Los Angeles, the Jerusalem Post reported, with some traveling for over 20 hours to reach the Holy Land.
“We were put on standby two days ago, and in less than 24 hours we were told we were going to fly out,” said Ben Arnold, 32, from Los Angeles. “Within four hours, we had our tickets, said goodbye to our families, and got on the plane.”

30 Years to Fully Recover From Israel Fires
November 29, 2016 | Israel Today Staff
Israeli experts lamented that it could take as much as 30 years to fully recover from the wave of fires that ravaged the country over the past two weeks.
While hundreds of homes were damaged or destroyed by the flames (mostly in the Haifa and Jerusalem areas) huge tracts of forests, including entire nature reserves, were decimated.
Current estimates are that well over 35,000 acres of forest were destroyed, and much of the wildlife living there was killed.
