This has been such a busy day for me. Hubby's car battery went dead again, so he got one of the maintenance men here to jump it. Then I followed him to WalMart so he could get a new one. We wanted to make sure he wasn't stranded in case anything else conked out. Then I ran errands. Then this afternoon I went back to our old house to meet my son-in-law there. He picked up the bookcase he wanted so now the house is completely empty. My last trip back there - yaaaayyy!
Beautiful day here. Hugs to all.

Ruthanne, sounds like you would enjoy a vacation cruise to the Bahamas. I like where I live now, it is home, but I do miss boats. If I did not live here I would be near the water, maybe not on a boat though because I am getting to old for that. I should someday go vacation to Catalina Island, just off the CA coast.

Good Morning all! Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday. I had to get my chores done early as Bruce had a doctor appointment we had to go to. It was with the rheumatologist and it always takes a long time since we tend to sit and gab with him. This time we were there for well over an hour and a half! Then Bruce had to go get his blood drawn again since the lab messed up the last one. So it was a busy day. I thought I was the only one who could not abide snakes. Tho I would not want a mouse in the house, ( people do keep them as pets), they at least can on occasion be sort of cute....whereas a snake could never be called cute in my book!!! I'd just as soon not see any mice or snakes lolWas it Xandau that Olivia Newton John movie from the 1980s that was lame you could see it on THIS Tv network Yeah it is true our big rain storm coming in tonight going in early tomorrow morning I heard that storm is supposed to eventually hit us next week too. It's so nice that she gets to see all of her family. I wish all kids were able to do that!Have a blessed day with the Lord today! You too Marlene! This has been such a busy day for me. I know I've done the same thing any number of times, and it sure can be aggravating! I hope it all works out for you hon. Ruthanne, sounds like you would enjoy a vacation cruise to the Bahamas. I have enough problems with my body, so I don't need any of that kind of help lol. I can't imagine what's been causing so many people to get so sick on them. I'd go on my own yacht, or a friends though lol.
Have a good day everyone!

But nervous that I'd left something important. I left Littleton Colorado, and moved to Chicago and forgot all my wall decor. But, the feeling of that last time, closing the door is memorable. This is the next day, but today is way nicer than yesterday, for us. We had cold rain all day yesterday.

So, you're next. I have NEVER thought that your posts were self centered. When we post, we are sharing ourselves with our FH family, so don't ever think that you are being self centered when you share. Please? And regarding the error in your bank account. Hey, it happens to ALL of us. And if someone tells you they've never done it, they are fibbing, or have never balanced a checkbook in their lives. God made us human, and it all goes hand in hand. And don't forget what we talked about over the phone. And if you need help, you be sure to call. Or if you even just want to talk.

Lots of movies, based on the 50's & 60's, like American Graffiti, and some others. I liked John Travolta, until he started playing roles where he was evil. Then it stopped.

Watched the inauguration today. GREAT speech afterward. I watched it on the computer, so I don't have to stomach all the nasty comments from the nasty media. Have a lot more red tape to get through. But, today is also Ed's 71st birthday. His first birthday in Heaven.

good evening everyone.Hi Cindy,Cheryl,Anna, and Margie.Cindy,I stressed about the check book but haven't gone in to try to figure it out til this morning. The Lord blessed me so much today.Larry's sister Tine paid my bank today so I can start my next month from scratch. My pride almost got in the way but the Lord made me realze it was PRIDE and that is a sin and He was just taking care of me through them and this morn. Deloris told me I couldn't take away Tines' blessing so suck it up.We tried to go and find my mistake but everything matched up with the calculator so we just gave up and she made me get dressed(she is so bossy, lol)and go to the bank and then she took me to Paragould to pick up the nitro and on the way back I let her take me to see Lar's brother and his wife Dixie. We didn't stay long and I got home and went to bed.I called K-Love to get prayer before she came, for wisdom and not to let pride get in the Lords' way and it all turned out well. Cheryl, when I called K-love I also stopped my donations til I am on my feet.It was really easy.Thank you for talking to me ,it helped me so much.I am so sorry ,I know you are having a rough day.I just read it was Ed's birthday .I pray the Lord held you in His arms and comforts you as He has me,so many times.I pray you rest in His forcefield.I wish I could give you a hug,so consider yourself hugged. You call me if you want, whenever you want.I am usually up til 11:oo or 1:ooam. Anna,I have always wanted to go on a cruise, like to Alaska, but it's not in my future.I just know I would be seasick so it's just as well, lol. But Alaska is beautiful.Did you live on a boat or something?I once went on a small fishing boat with motor, but there were too many bugs and no where to go but the water and who knows whats in there! So once was enough. Margie,I am happy for you, that you can settle down now.I remember all the work you did to your house,so I am sure you were ready to get it over with. Well,Steven and Robin and Levi are on their way over so I will sign off for now.Love you all,Ruthanne Ps.Hi Lulu and Barb and Leonard and seven.I hope you all have a good week-end,love Ruthanne

Thank you for your concern. It was a rough day for me, but it's over. Well.....the day is over. The rough.......not so much. I'm still awake though. I need to go lay down, but just started feeling worn out enough, just a few moments ago. And my pain level is pretty high today, well...yesterday, since it's now 4:30 in the morning on the 21st. Still muddling through a lot of red tape and getting some things done. Working on my tax return, now. And my heart is just not in it.

My brother once went on a cruise to Alaska, he really enjoyed it and I saw pictures that he took and it looked beautiful there where he was on the cruise.
I once lived on a boat for about 10 years on the East coast side of Florida. We started out in Northern Florida and then moved to central and then to southern Florida. When we lived in northern Florida one day unexpectedly two friends of Ron's showed up and wanted to stay with us for two days, so they did. It was Tom and Damien Trump, nephew of Donald Trump. At high tide we all four went in our large row boat and were able to row over an area that was grassy during low tide, when we got back near the docks the current was a rip current and it took the row boat quickly under the dock and we all had to quickly lay down in the boat so that we could get under the dock and then get out from under there. Tom bought some food and cooked a meal that he said would be the best meal we had ever tasted. I had never seen so many different ingredients go into my large cooking pot and I knew I was going to have to eat the meal and like it. The meal turned out better than I thought it would, it was different tasting. Then they left and Damien went back to NY.
It rained here all night and is suppose to now start to snow, this has been quite a storm for us here. I hope you all have a blessed day today.

The sun is out but the wind is cold here. Our son was here yesterday and hung pictures and did miscellaneous things for us. Then we took him out to eat. He deserved it for all the help he's given us.

We had absolutely gorgeous weather, here, yesterday. 70+ weather. Just the way I really can enjoy it. It was still a little damp from all the rain we've been getting, but warm. I'm sorry though, that the warm weather in the South spawned tornadoes yesterday. Petal Mississippi had a bad one, and caused 4 deaths. And in Georgia, seven southern counties are declared state of emergency. So far, 16 deaths. And they are still searching for people. Many of our FH family live in the path of these storms. Please keep them all in your prayers. June Holmes, Timothy Chandler, Lorrie Freeman, just to name a few off the top of my head. Also my youngest brother lives in the path too. Margie, I'm so glad that you are getting help with your moving and settling in. And it's always fun to treat someone to supper. back to you, Anna!!

Well it's late and I wasn't going to type out a post tonight, but I just HAVE to tell some great news! In the fall of 2015 our pastor announced that he was retiring in April 2016. In December of 2015 our church elected five members to serve on the Pastor Search Committee, and I was one of the five. We on the PSC have worked diligently for 13 months. We ended up receiving 251 resumes from all over the US (and a couple from overseas) and I am pleased and grateful to announce that after months of evaluating resumes, watching & listening to sermons online, conducting interviews via Skype, collecting reference letters, and attending countless Sunday evening PSC meetings -- today (probably yesterday, by the time anybody sees this) our church affirmed the man that God has brought to us "for such a time as this" -- "Pastor David"!!!!! We had brought David & his wife into town two weeks ago and our committee (along with our spouses) met with them face-to-face and fell in love (so to speak!)! They are both so precious! This weekend they returned with their children. He spent yesterday meeting various groups (such as deacons, etc.) and last night we had a "Meet & Greet" for the whole church body. Today he preached an amazing message "in view of the call" and afterwards we had a business conference where he was unanimously voted in! It was a day of worship unlike any we've had for a long time.
I could not be more happy & thrilled!! As I had mentioned on here previously, not only did our pastor retire, but nearly one year ago a series of circumstances led to a church split, which is an awful and heart rending experience. (Add to that the unexpected death of my father last May, then six weeks later the loss of my uncle who I'm not sure was saved, and 2016 was a pretty sad year all around, as my life revolves entirely around family and church.) Our church staff is completely changed from what it was this time last year and while we will always miss those men who previously led us, we look forward with great expectancy to what God has in store with our new Pastor David. (Interestingly, our interim/transitional pastor is also named David.)
Anyway, I just had to share before I could fall asleep!

That is good all the rain that your area in CA got Lulu, there are probably some problem spots with mudslides. Kelley, with all the rain you got how are you doing in the area where you live? Are you walking or swimming? Where I live we got rain all day from the storm there and it was a blessing for us here to get that much rain. I hope you are sleeping well Cheryl. Leigh, good to read the good news that your church members are pleased with their choice of a new pastor. That will be a blessing for everyone there.

Good Morning all! Boy this weekend was crazy for us, but a very good one all the same. Jenn and her family came over Saturday so they could spend the day with us and we had a wonderful time. Jenn's husband, Bob, beat us all (badly!) at Monopoly! That's ok, we'll get him back this coming Saturday Bruce got us all grinders for supper so I didn't have to cook or do dishes! Sunday I recuperated in the morning and then we had to get the shopping done and pick up our meds. When we got home I was beat and not up to doing any more so today I have to do all the chores I didn't do on Saturday and Sunday. Guess I'd better get busy huh?Good Morning all! Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday. I had to get my chores done early as Bruce had a doctor appointment we had to go to. It was with the rheumatologist and it always takes a long time since we tend to sit and gab with him. This time we were there for well over an hour and a half! Cindy, I hope that Bruce's blood tests were done correctly, this time, and he won't have to go through that, again, for a while. Ed's was every 3 months, for a full blood workup, unless he was hospitalized. Yeah, they did them right this time. He used to have his done every 3 months and probably will again eventually, but lately it's been every month since they increased his methotrexate. On the one hand it's a pain, but on the other hand, I'm glad Dr D is so careful with him.Watched the inauguration today. GREAT speech afterward. I watched it on the computer, so I don't have to stomach all the nasty comments from the nasty media. Have a lot more red tape to get through. But, today is also Ed's 71st birthday. His first birthday in Heaven. I didn't get to hear the speech, but did see most of it from the lunch on, which was pretty neat. Elijah and Grace watched the whole thing though and really liked it.
I'm sorry hon, I know this must be an awfully hard time for you. I am praying and will continue to....

Hang in there hon!My brother once went on a cruise to Alaska, he really enjoyed it and I saw pictures that he took and it looked beautiful there where he was on the cruise.

Wow, that's so neat! Now that Trump is president you have quite the story to tell people! I didn't mean to give the impression that I don't like boats, I do and have been in many of them, from sail boats, to air boats, to speed boats to yachts and others. I practically lived in or on the water all the years we lived in Florida. The only thing I wouldn't want to do is go on a cruise ship, only because of the illnesses that seem to break out on them constantly over the last couple of years. Before that started, I would have gone on one in a heart beat. But now that things have gotten so bad around the world and the last days are here, I'm just not interested in pushing my luck lol. The sun is out but the wind is cold here. Our son was here yesterday and hung pictures and did miscellaneous things for us. Then we took him out to eat. He deserved it for all the help he's given us. He sure has helped a lot! that's really sweet of him. It's been around 32 here lately, so not bad.We had absolutely gorgeous weather, here, yesterday. Yes, I've seen that on the news and have been praying for all the people. It's horrible and seems to be happening constantly somewhere this past year. All day! I hope that's good and that you're not in the area where they've had too much rain and are getting mudslides now! I hope Kelly isn't in the areas that are having mudslides either!Popping in for a quick hello. Lots going on but haven't forgotten you all! SO glad that Cheryl is back!!!!!
That's so wonderful Lorrie! I'm so very happy for you and your church family! Praise God!!!!!I hope everyone has a great day today! God bless you all!

no mud slides where we are, but some flooding in areas around us. However, there were mud slides in the burn areas, north and east of us. We are getting a few days off from the rain but then more is suppose to be coming in. this is what was promised last year! the weather people were only a year off.... Lorrie congrats on your new pastor! Cindy, sound like you had a good weekend! We didn't do much cause of the rain! Anna, Great story about the meal with the Trumps! HI Ruthanne, glad you got your moneys fixed.... to you all!

Good Morning all! We're in the middle of a nor'easter here. It really hasn't amounted to much, at least not yet. Everyone was praying for a ton of snow like we usually get from them, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. no mud slides where we are, but some flooding in areas around us. HI Ruthanne, glad you got your moneys fixed.... to you all! I'm so glad you're not in the mudslide area! Yeah, the weekend was great, but it turned out that it didn't end great for Jenn. After they got home the kids were playing and Elijah was trying to get a piece of paper out of Gracie's hand, and wound up pushing it into her face as they fell, and it scratched her eye. I told Jenn to fill a cup with clean water and have her blink into the water to wash her eye out, as many times as she wanted to. Thankfully that stopped the pain and she stopped crying and went back to playing. Another of their friends were there and they wrestled with Elijah and pushed him down so that his glasses went flying off and wound up broken past the point of repair. So it was a double trip to our eye doctor for Jenn yesterday. Thankfully we can get Elijah new glasses for under $20 at Zinni, so that's not a problem, and even better, Gracie's eye had already begun healing itself very well so that all she needed were some drops for a few days. Praise the Lord! Of course Jenn was all flustered over what happened with the kids. She kept saying, "but I'm constantly telling them to keep away from each others faces!" I couldn't help laughing and told her that it didn't matter how often she told them, that these kind of things were just going to happen, unless she kept them locked up by themselves in their rooms their whole life. Kids will be kids and accidents are going to happen when they play. I tried to make her understand that it wasn't her fault as she tends to always blame herself. I just reminded her of herself and her siblings when they were young and all the times I'd told them the same kind of things She seemed to feel better after that.

That is so sweet of you to encourage Jenn, because it's absolutely true....if you look away just one second ( and being human you will) something can happen with children). Anna was Damien, the son of President's Trump's sister ( the judge)? Ruthanne, I totally agree with Cheryl, we really want to hear about you, your thoughts etc. good and not so good days. Your honesty is one of your beautiful characteristics.....who wants a phony pretend smile ( a real one yes) from a person?
I will be going for my yearly well check this Thursday and then a regular doc appointment right after. I am not exactly looking forward to it.
I never do great in the winter and have packed on about 30 extra pounds cuz I don't get any exercise ( no walks) in the rain and cold.... Of course all the extra pound makes several of my medical conditions worse, like the arthritis, sleep apnea etc.
But I don't really want to discuss any of it with doctor LOL....Just get Spring here so I hopefully can take some walks, work a little in my tiny garden, and maybe some of those pounds will come off? sigh!

I bet you look great Barbara! From your pictures I've seen before, you looked like me when I was too skinny, so a little more weight probably looks great on you! I don't like to go to the doctor for my regular check ups either, but I have to go every 3 months. I hope your doctor appointment goes really well.

Hello, everyone. This message isn't for me. It's for our sister Ruthanne. I just got off the phone with her. She had to go to the hospital, today, with heart issues. Her son called the ambulance. They got her stabilized but need to do a heart cath, and scheduled it for tomorrow, but they gave her a choice to go home tonight and be there early tomorrow morning. Please keep her in your prayers. She has to stay under observation for 24 hours after the surgery, but as soon as I know, I'll let y'all know how she's doing. Or better yet, maybe she will come in and tell y'all herself.

Just popping in to read the updates and Cheryl THANK YOU for posting about Ruthanne!!! I am so glad I saw this and will be praying for her. Wonder what time the cath is supposed to start? It may already be finished by now. I'll be praying. Wow everyone is so busy. Love reading what you all are doing. I'm at my mother's in Georgia for a few days. She has an appointment this afternoon and wanted me to go with her, so I came over. Lulu, thankful you are safe from the mud slides! Sounds like you've had an awful lot of rain. Hopefully Seven is okay also. How is the job search going, for Ron? Everything going fine at your company? Cindy, thankful Elijah and Grace are okay and their eyes are fine. Poor Jenn, I understand how she feels because I always have somehow felt responsible when my children got hurt or misbehaved! But you were so right in your advice to her (as always!). Stay safe in your Nor'easter! Barb, hope your appointment goes well and that the doctors will be understanding. Hope all is found to be fine with you, or at least not worse, as far as what you've got going on. Cheryl, I know you have a lot happening right now as well. Love and prayers continuing for you as you enter this new season of life and although it was unwanted, I know God is sustaining you. Margie, hope things are still going well in your new home. So glad your children and grands are nearby and able to help you out with little projects as needed. Anna, thankful you got some much-needed rain. Hope your week is going well! SO, the wall, you know, the one Trump is going to build -- how close will it be to your area? I thought of you when they were talking about it on the news. I look forward to that being built and protecting our American citizens! Ruthanne, whenever you're able to get back in here, I agree with what everyone else is saying -- we love your posts and enjoy reading anything you write, so write on! Thank you all for the congrats on our new pastor. It's a great feeling of accomplishment and we look forward to them moving to SC in a couple of months. Their fifth baby is due around Valentine's day, so they are staying put for now and will get on over here as soon as they can after that. They're already found a house here, so that's a praise. Okay well I need to get going. Mother's toasting us some bagels for breakfast (brunch, actually, as I slept until 9:00 ) and we have Fox News going. I like that, because we cancelled our cable last summer (because the rates kept rising) and I love & miss Fox News! Pray for Ruthanne!
