Went to a grandson's Christmas orchestra program last night and didn't get home until 10 pm. Our house was showed 4 times yesterday and another showing is scheduled for Friday afternoon. Haven't heard back from any of them.
A man from an estate sale company will be here this morning to see what we have to sell. Yesterday we signed final papers at the retirement community. So we've made some progress.
Hugs to all.

Hi Marlene. You do a bible study with other people online? I guess If I do a study with somebody, besides Karen, It will be with Cindy as I won't feel dumb if I ask dumb questions. Besides she does so much work on them I should start soon , before she switches to another format that I can't do. Has everyone got their shopping done? I only go to Wally world so it's a one stop.Robin Has to work Thursday from one to two-thirty,so we kinda have a time limit Thurs..But I was thinking, since I am up so late every night I will probably go with Karen about 1 or 2 A.M. There will be nobody in the store at that time. I hope I don't have to eat my words, lol. I have 3 to 4 hundred dollars to spend but I am buying for nine people. It is going to be fun. I insist. I think Cindy does the best Bible studies, even better than Mike does. This FH site is my mainstay and I read what Cindy writes almost everyday but I am not consistent with reading her Bible study. I hope you join the Bible study here. At the COT site that I go to, which always has scrolling chat, I can listen to praise and worship in which pastor Scott plays the guitar and sings, his singing and guitar playing is the best or I could listen to news with Larry, but he has health problems and is not there right now, and teaching from a few scriptures with Mike, he always emphasizes for Christians not to be judgmental and gossip about other Christians, I like that, I know false rumors can be so hurtful, I had that happen to me at a church once and he teaches to walk with the Lord and love people. Sounds like you are going to have fun shopping for gifts for people you love, you go girl, have fun and let us know about the shopping trip. I have never shopped at night at Walmart, hope it is less crowded, I would think it would be. I have a membership to a Costco store, which I am thinking about getting a refund for the membership. Reviews about the store are all good so I got a membership... well I won't ramble on about it like I was going to, I am starting to bore myself. Good day everyone and God bless you.

Good Morning all!
Hi Cindy,Lulu, and Anna.Hi Lorrie, ,Margie,Kelley, Kel and anyone I have missed, Merry Christmas! I heard them say on the radio, that there is less than 2 wks til Christmas. What??? I can't believe this month has slipped by so quick. Cindy,I am sorry you and Bruce have the cold now.I had one, got over it, and Karen gave it back.I love sharing, lolol. On normal people like me the average cold lasts from 7 to 10 days, but I don't know how long it will last with you and Bruce ,with the R.A. I pray you get over it soon and drink lots of fluids as you know that makes the mucus easier to break up and get out of you. You got snow. How awesome.Deloris says they are saying we will be up to 65 Sat. and cold again on Sunday.Thurs. is pain pill day and I hope I can get some shopping done. Robin will be taking me,yay! I haven't seen her much since she started working and I haven't been calling on them for anything unless I have to and I haven't had to so that's great. Hi Marlene. You do a bible study with other people online? I guess If I do a study with somebody, besides Karen, It will be with Cindy as I won't feel dumb if I ask dumb questions. Besides she does so much work on them I should start soon , before she switches to another format that I can't do. It said on the news this morning that the high was going to be 29 Thursday in Paducah. They are to the east of me but along the same line. No stress. How are you Lorrie, and Kel and Kelley? Too busy to reply but try to take time out everyday to show somebody the love the Lord shows us. That is something I hear every day and I try to do that, though it's usually on the phone. I insist. I told Lisa on Monday like I said I would and she isn't bent about the pills. Which is good , cause it means Larry and Steven are wrong about me meaning nothing to her but a connection. However I do understand addiction and they will both have to ask. Won't do them any good. It is illegal so I know the Lord will help me stand firm as it is obedience to Him. And I already feel the burden lifting, just knowing my heart is set on obeying and He will do the tough part. Love all you guys and Merry Christmas to Bruce and Ron and Marlenes Ron.Talk to y'all later,Love Ruthanne P.S.,Cindy,I'm sorry,I meant neon colored pasteboard. No,poster paper.I hate when I can't find my words.Which way did they go,which way did they go?Bye now. I'm doing pretty well, and the cold hasn't gotten me badly, but Bruce is still very sick. In fact I just made him and appointment with our doc for tonight at 7:30. I'll have to wake Bruce up to get him there lol, but at least he'll get seen. I'm concerned it may have gone into his chest at this point. Hopefully the doc can give him something to help him.
Bless your heart Ruthanne! I have no plans on changing how I do the studies... I just do them the same way I talk LOL so no worries there. Besides, I'll do a study with you anytime on anything you'd like. Just say the word! Or you can join me and Barbara on our daily time in the word. In that one, Barbara simply shares a little bit about what she studied that day and tells how she's going to apply it to her life. Then I comment on it, and that's it. Nice and simple.
I can't believe there's only two weeks left! I'm no where near done with our shopping! Help!!!!! i just have to get gifts for a few of my grandchildren, Elijah, Grace, Alissa, and Maddie, and of course Bruce. Can't afford to get gifts for the older kids.
Oh, I see now what you meant about the sign! That's a great idea!
It's wonderful that you've already put that behind you about the pills too. Now you don't have to worry about it! Praise God!!!!

So we've made some progress. Hugs to all. Wow, that's great that they've been showing your house so often! Here a person would be lucky to have their place shown that much over two months! It won't be long at all until you'll be in your new home with this one sold! I think Cindy does the best Bible studies, even better than Mike does. This FH site is my mainstay and I read what Cindy writes almost everyday but I am not consistent with reading her Bible study. I hope you join the Bible study here. Marlene, I had no idea you were reading the bible studies! Like I told Ruthanne, if you'd like to study something in particular, I'd be glad to do that with you too. Just let me know and I'll be happy to oblige. I sure with Eva would get back so we could finish the rapture, tribulation one.... I may just go ahead and do that anyway if she doesn't get back soon. In fact I may just start a new thread and use the old one as just "background" information, since that's really what it is. Now I'm rambling on lol, but that's how my mind works...
Well, have a good day everyone! I'd better get busy or I won't have time to do anything else lol This is a picture of our front yard when it's covered in pretty deep snow lol That's the back end of Bruce's trailer sticking out of the snow on the side of the bush.

Good morning all! Took Bruce to the doctor last night and he is now using an albuteral inhaler and the doc prescribed a cough medicine for him as well. His lungs were full of junk so it was a good thing that I got him to go to see the doctor. I have the same inhalers so I was able to just give him one of mine that I hadn't used for last night. Hopefully he will be up to picking up the other med after work today. Cindy glad your feeling somewhat better, praying for Bruce. Man colds seem to really hold on these days, I guess that's part of the fun about getting older ah? Anna, We use to have a membership to Costco, I ended up not using it and letting it go, things started getting expensive and we'd end up spending way to much every time we went. pray you have the best of blessings when it comes to selling your house! we are suppose to be getting rain starting tonite on into Friday all day...they say it's a real storm! we shell see...I also read where lake Tahoe is full to the brim again! just after the last storm that blew though up north! well, it's almost time to head out into the dysfunctional world, I can't wait till my home isn't dysfunctional any longer.... It always seems strange to me that some parts of the world can have too much water while other parts don't have enough. But that's another thing that won't happen once Jesus is ruling from His throne in New Jerusalem! I'm sure looking forward to that!
I'm sure you're looking forward to having them out of your house so you can be at peace at home. There's nothing worse to me than feeling like you don't want to go home because there's just as much strife there as out in the world. Home needs to be a sanctuary where we can rest and recuperate and recharge for the next day. I hope your home becomes that for you again very soon!
Here's an old picture of our house with Sunny looking out the door. Now we have a nice "real" door LOL.

This is a picture of a nice metal rack that was given to me 2 years ago in the summer of 2015. It worked out well to keep my herb plants on, then the mice and the birds took over and ate my plants. I put a cover over the rack but then the birds got inside of that and had trouble getting out. So I don't know what to do to be able to use this rack again for my potted plants, so right now I put an old server platter on the rack and use it for a birdbath and the birds love it, yesterday I bought some bird food, I got the last 20 pound bag on sale of Flock and Feast bird food. So for now I will just use it for the birds and I enjoy the bird watching and listening to the birds sing. I think I will have to keep my herbs plants indoors.

Hi everybody!
Just read thru the posts starting at the top of this page. Cindy, so sorry Bruce is sick but hope the albuterol works well and helps him feel better.
My mother came last Friday and stayed thru until Monday morning. We had a wonderful visit and she went with me to the Ladies Christmas Coffeehouse at church Saturday night. This first Christmas season without my Daddy is hitting me hard and I haven't had the will to do much of anything except what I HAVE to do.
This afternoon is the monthly "Kids Cafe" where I do the 30 minute music class. Wow, this is my 4th year teaching that, and probably my last as I'm running out of ideas! Today we're going to play "Name that Christmas tune" then sing through the 12 Days of Christmas (we have 12 kids this year so everybody will get to hold up a sign -- like "3 French hens" every time it comes round in the song). So, need to finish getting things ready for that.
OH - I forgot to report back that Daniel's chest x-ray came back showing that the pneumonia has resolved. Thank You GOD and thank you ALL for praying!
Also, Daniel passed his CISCO networking certification test, so he'll be able to apply for some internships over the summer, after he graduates from high school. Thank you for praying about that too!
Talk to you all later -- loved the photos, and look forward to hearing that Margie's house has SOLD!

Good Morning all, even if it almost noon LOL
I made some Christmas ornaments using some old glass balls and re painting them. I was shocked at how beautifully they turned out, especially since I'm normally no good at any kind of arts and crafts type stuff even though I enjoy it. I was so excited I called Jenn and told her that next year were going to have all the ornaments hand made as well as the rest of the trimmings. That got her excited and now she and the kids can't wait to get started LOL

It's too bad you can't use it like that anymore. I've wanted to put a bird bath out in our yard too but Bruce said no cause it will just breed mosquitoes for the most part and I sure don't want those! But I've been thinking, maybe if I just put one out occasionally, and always dumped it out at the end of the day, then I could do it for the birds. Obviously I can only do that in the summer as the water would be frozen within minutes of putting it out now! Hi everybody!

Talk to you all later -- loved the photos, and look forward to hearing that Margie's house has SOLD! I'm sorry this is so hard on you Lorrie. I'm keeping you and your mom in prayer and especially praying Romans 15:13 over you both: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
I'm sure the kids love your class. Don't you have different kids each year though? If so then it wouldn't matter if you just do the same thing over again....
I'm glad to hear that Daniel's chest xray came back perfect and that he passed is test too! Praise God!
Yes, I think he's feeling a little better. I just have to remember to give him some alleve too. He counts on me more than I even realized. I thought he knew enough to at least take alleve or tylenol or something like that for aches and pains, but last night he complained that he didn't have anything for "his other symptoms". When I asked what other ones he meant, I finally got out of him the "aches and pains". So I got some alleve for him and then told him how often he could take it and left a note on the counter reminding him of how much and how often. So at least now he can do that for himself and not wait for me to guess what he might need.
oh I love the rain! but I hate how southern Californians drive in it! I'll be leaving a little early this morning! but all is good cause it's and it's our company Christmas party after work, 2pm to 6pm...it'll be a sad one though, cause so many people have left or are leaving. My company doesn't pay well for good hard working and knowledgeable employees! the only reason I got my pay raise is cause NO one else there had the experience that I had to do the job, and If I had quite or went back to my old department, they would have had to pay the going rate for that job on a new hire, which is 3 to 4 $$'s more then what I asked for! and I think we got GREAT news on the room mate saga....I'm waiting to see the packing before I say anything for sure with this woman.... Oh I do hope you have good news about that Lulu! That would be wonderful!!!! Talk about a great Christmas present! So many companies do the same thing. It's really sad that money is so important to them. I was very lucky to work for two places here in NH that were not like that and always paid all they could. The first place paid very, very little, but it was all they paid themselves as well. It was all they could afford. When they did well though, they'd give us a bonus and share with us whatever they got. The second place paid more as they had more money, but they both had the same attitude which was really nice.

The estate sale person couldn't make it a few days ago but another company will be here this afternoon. Another house showing at 4:30 this afternoon.
We have packed all morning. I am so tired. Our son is coming here to help us tomorrow. Last night we went to Ft. Worth to see another grandson's wrestling match. Really cold here.
Hugs and thank you for the prayers.

We had rain here and wind last night, nice to get the rain, but we will have to replace some roof shingles on the mobile home.
I noticed at the weather site that I look at, that Papua New Guinea has so far today had 19 earthquakes, also they have an active volcano with lava flow and ash in the air. So heads up guys, don't vacation there any time soon. lol

What a day yesterday was! We did our grocery shopping and Christmas shopping. We had just about finished up at Walmart and we'd found some great gifts for the kids, when all of a sudden we turned a corner and who should we run into, but Jenn, Bob, Grace and Elijah! All the adults began yelling, "the cart, the cart!" Because all the toys were in plain sight. So Bruce quickly turned the cart around and took off in the other direction while I continued forward toward the kids LOL They had Elijah's friend Isabella with them as she's been going to church with them for the last several weeks. (She's one of the children that Elijah as been witnessing too and explaining the hope he has in Christ. I keep hoping it will get to her mom as well) After chatting, I called each child, one at a time, to come over to me so I could give them a hug, (they were looking at toys while the adults chatted) After giving Elijah and Grace a hug and kiss, I called Isabella over for the same reason. I gave her a hug and kissed the top of her head and told her that I hoped she had a wonderful Christmas this year. She's such a sweet little girl and she got all embarrassed and excited at the same time lol. She told the kids and Jenn that she wanted to come to my house with them again the next time they go. I told her that she's always welcome. Then the kids tried to get her to go look at the toys some more and she shook them off and told them there was no way she'd go cause she wanted to see their grandpa too! So I hugged Jenn and Bob and then traded places with Bruce who was guarding the cart down another isle. Of course the kids all swarmed him like they always do After awhile though Jenn and Bob had to intervene as Elijah kept pretending to try and get past Bruce to go see what was in our cart You know, that little encounter made my whole day, and I have a feeling that it made Bruce's day too!The estate sale person couldn't make it a few days ago but another company will be here this afternoon. Another house showing at 4:30 this afternoon. We have packed all morning. I am so tired. Our son is coming here to help us tomorrow. Last night we went to Ft. Worth to see another grandson's wrestling match. Really cold here. Hugs and thank you for the prayers. I've been praying Margie and will continue too! I just know the Lord has this all worked out perfectly for you!We had rain here and wind last night, nice to get the rain, but we will have to replace some roof shingles on the mobile home.
I noticed at the weather site that I look at, that Papua New Guinea has so far today had 19 earthquakes, also they have an active volcano with lava flow and ash in the air. So heads up guys, don't vacation there any time soon. lol No, I don't think I'd want to do that! I'm planning my next vacation to be a very, very, very long one though. The nice part about it is that I won't have to pack anything or even take anything with me as everything I need or could even want will be totally provided for free! How great is that?! I can't wait to go and best of all, you guys are all going on the same vacation with me! We're all going to New Jerusalem! I'm so excited that I can hardly stand it. I feel like a kid the last couple of weeks before Christmas where the days seem to drag by and even though you know it's only going to be a short time, it seems to take forever to get to Christmas Eve. But every night when you go to bed, you're excited all over again because you know you're one more day closer to the big one! Come soon Lord Jesus! We're ready!!!!it's happening!! They're packing? Hooray!!!!!! That's great Lulu! Will it be before January 1st?Our house has sold! We just signed the papers with our real estate agent. We close on January 13. Praise the Lord!! Really cold day here. Went to an 80th birthday party for a friend. Praise God for answered prayers!!!!! I'm so excited and happy for you Margie!
Yeah, it was pretty cold here lately, but the weather's also been weird. Saturday it was like 25 below 0 with 7 inches of snow, then on Sunday it got up to about 38 and we got a bunch of rain, Last night it went down to 8 degrees and is about 16 right now. We did our shopping with just sweaters on lol
for Maggie For Margie, and for you and Ron too!!!!
Have a great day everyone!

good morning and Merry Christmas to one and all! I have had the flu but this morning I think I am on the up side of it>Hurray! Yesterday Steven and Robin went Christmas shopping and I just gave them my money and told them what I was going to get everyone. And they did it for me. Margie, the power of prayer! It's awesome that you were able to sell before Christmas! We sometimes limit God by asking for things we know He can do but not allowing for the fact that Jesus can do above and beyond what we can even imagine. I have been watching and waiting, as we are told to do by the Lord. And I have noticed something.I know you have all seen it,but I am slow. Not really,I just have less contact with people than most of you.But the Lord seems to be calling His prodigals to get it together cause He is coming so soon.I am plum excited by it!Even Steven is longing for Jesus.Jesus is calling him and Robin. He said yesterday evening that he is thinking of church so much he knows it is just a matter of time before he is back in church WITH his family! How awesome is that? My child is coming home to Jesus. Please keep praying ,your prayers are being answered.Karen had to go back to her home town yesterday to go to the dr.I was so worried. With her being back with all her lost friends, but I love God!She was able to see a dear friend she had broken with and mend that friendship and she told her about the Lord drawing His children back to Him and her friend was receptive and even joyful! So if each one tells one ...AND she didn't contact any of her worldly friends as she isn't quite strong enough in the Lord again yet. I am so tired but I wanted to stop in and share my joy,Love you all,Ruthanne

Good Morning all! I'm going to try and be here at least a little bit the rest of this week, but I can't guarantee it as I've so much to get done. (and as usual, am far behind lol) But i'll at least try and pop in to say hi, ok? Good day you all! Cindy nice to read about Isabella, I hope she gets to come with the other children to your house. It's great too that your family was able to do your shopping for you as well. That was so nice of them. I'm so glad you told us all your wonderful news!
I hope everyone has a good day today. I've gotta get going so I can get everything done on my to do list today. Love you all!

Good Morning my friends! I hope you've all been having a good day and got a good nights sleep last night.
Bruce took me to our local dollar store last night. It's so very strange to have our very own store in town after all these many years. I got a few more stocking stuffers for the kiddos and should be all set now. I also did 4 loads of laundry. We have had very little water over the last week as one of the main lines broke to the well, so they asked us to conserve water till it was fixed. That's why I had so much to do yesterday. Plus I made a bunch of chocolate chip cookies for Bruce. Today I have to make Christmas cookies for our neighbors and get them ready to go. Plus of course the normal chores of every day. Yesterday just about did me in, but all I have to do is get through today and I'll be mostly done.
Have a good day everyone!

The house buyers had our house inspected today. I know there are repairs because this house was built in 1995.
Beautiful day here. I'm doing laundry too. Late afternoon and evening are the only times I have free from house showings. One more load to do!
Hugs to all.

Wow! Margie your house sold FAST!! That's awesome! Congrats
Hi Cindy! I've missed chatting with you too! Loved your cookie pictures on fb. super cute!!
Hi Leigh, I'm glad you like our furniture, we had a gentleman that is interested in furnishing his restaurant with our furniture. If it goes through, and his partner agrees to the terms, David and I will be bustin' our booties making tables and chairs.
Our Sheltie, Buck will turn 16 years in Feb. He has been having trouble holding it as well and a little throwing up. I notice he has to eat at a certain time, or he throws up, his tummy too empty I suppose, he also has accidents, I am always letting him out (indoor dog also) There isn't much the vet can do for him, so I make sure before I go to bed, (10pmish when not working) that he goes potty and then David lets him out at 1am, then I get up at 6-630 for him to go potty and then get everyone fed by 7:30 He has been doing better. We will still have accidents, I think Dixie (Killian's dog) stresses him out. She doesn't understand his growling at her is to "leave me alone, I'm old" David and I joke that he is "yelling at the kids to get off his lawn" lol He's a good boy though. He struggling with his breathing a little. Daisy is our companion, shes like Mace. Wants to always be with us, everywhere we go. Daddy's little girl lol
Freelance work is going well. I will be done with this little stint on the 29th. A couple days I have to do double duty. 9-1 at the Rec and 3-11:30 at the TV station. pray for me!!
Chat with you all soon!
Love, Kel (aka Kelley lol ;) )

we are in need of tons of prayers, on both sides of our family's...Ron's brother Robert is fading, round the clock hospice care, and in between the Reid kids cover, Ron's been there 2 nites in a row after work, and probably again tonite. then this morning I get a e-mail from my cousin Judi, the one that just lost her dad...my uncle.... her husband is in the hospital.... well here is what she wrote... Hello Robin, Luanne, and Ron I don't know about getting together after Christmas. Ray is in critical condition at Kaiser Ontario. Diabetes complications. He'll be there for Christmas at least, then need lots of care when he comes home. I'll have my hands full, if I am blessed. Please pray for us both. I am beside myself with worry for him, and can't really think about anything else now. Take care. tears, she's been hit and hit and hit this year, please pray for Judi and Ray.....

Well, plans are changed again lol. Jenn just called me and told me they're coming to our house for Christmas this year anyway. Apparently there's a problem at Bob's parents home so they can't go. So we'll have an ever greater Christmas than we thought we would, and we thought we were going to have a great one anyway! The house buyers had our house inspected today. I know there are repairs because this house was built in 1995. Beautiful day here. I'm doing laundry too. Late afternoon and evening are the only times I have free from house showings. One more load to do! Hugs to all. Why do you have to continue to show it if it's already sold Margie? Do they do that until the sale has actually gone through?Wow! Margie your house sold FAST!! Love, Kel (aka Kelley lol ;) ) It's hard when our fur babies have problems like that. I know I worry about mine and if I'm doing all I can to help them. At least they know we love them....
Oh I almost forgot to tell you Kel, but I had a dream about you the other night! It was so weird LOL. Apparently I was so surprised that you were in my dream, that while I was dreaming I told myself to remember that. So as soon as I woke up, the very first thing that came to my mind was, "I had a dream about Kel; I'll have to tell her about it!!" But then I couldn't remember what the dream itself was about other than that you were in it! we are in need of tons of prayers, on both sides of our family's...Ron's brother Robert is fading, round the clock hospice care, and in between the Reid kids cover, Ron's been there 2 nites in a row after work, and probably again tonite. then this morning I get a e-mail from my cousin Judi, the one that just lost her dad...my uncle.... her husband is in the hospital.... well here is what she wrote... Oh, Lulu, I'm so sorry hon. I'm praying for you and your family and of course will include them as well. I'll go add them right now! I wasn't able to do anything yesterday as my back gave out after all the baking the other day. I thought I might be able to take the cookies over to the neighbors today, but my back's still giving me fits, so I don't know.... We'll see. Maybe I'll wait and let the kids do it on Christmas...
I hope you all have a good day in the Lord today

Yes, Cindy - it is good to continue to show the house even if we have a contract on it. We know that these buyers have qualified for the loan and are still interested. But I have heard of cases where the buyers didn't qualify for a loan or they just backed out for whatever reason. Then other potential buyers have missed seeing your house if it's been taken off the market. I don't mind it at all.
Rainy and cooler here. Our kids/grandkids/2 granddogs will be here on Sunday morning. Our son will help us move next Friday. But we have hired a moving company for the furniture.

Christmas through different eyes
Christmas these days is seen
in a very different way.
Through older, wiser, tired eyes.
Losing family, watching as others die.
Heart breaking, for those closest
To our loved ones, saying goodbye,
Yet knowing deep inside
Where that wisdom hides
Although the pain of the heart
Never departs ones soul,
Life will go on, slowly
But surely it gets easier
When ones been sick
For a long long time
Knowing they are in a much
Better place in a new body
And are feeling fine,
Watching over us left behind
Grow stronger,
Body, soul and mind.
The true meaning of Christmas
Is eternal life, a Christmas gift
From above, where once again
We will see and hug the ones
We have lost and loved.
Yup I see Christmas these days
Through very different eyes…
