I just read a article in End Times that stated: "But first, what do I mean by the Rapture? I'm referring to that biblical teaching that Jesus is going to return one day soon to catch up, snatch away, rapture, believers in Christ — called the Church — off this earth and up to Heaven to live with Him forever" (John 14:1-4; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Read more: fresh-hope.com/thread/2970/misconceptions-rapture#ixzz4PhY2ry6fIf this be the case, then why would our Messiah teaches us the Lord's prayer which states: "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Read more: fresh-hope.com/thread/2951/lords-prayer#ixzz4PhYgDq12Earth will never be like heaven unless our Messiah returns and establishes the kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Having trouble understanding this. Even after looking up the above scriptures, I still don't understand it because there is no mention of heaven in the scriptures listed, only that we will be with Him.

Here is a website that might help you to understand, you can type in a keyword, passage, or topic and be able to read what the Bible says about it. www.biblegateway.comThere will be a rapture of the church in the future and right now when a Christian dies he goes to heaven. Someday there will be a new heaven and a new earth. Rev.21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.

Thank you Anna, I will continue to look into the scriptures. I know He is coming and we will be with Him always. The teachings of heaven and the rapture that I have learned throughout my life have always puzzled me because I just can't find it in the scriptures the way it has been taught.

James I feel the same way about the teachings about heaven and the rapture puzzling me. I am reminded of the scripture that says that while we are here on this earth what we understand is as though looking through dark glass. For myself I won't know until the Lord shows me himself and now at my age I don't look for answers from people but it is so important for me to live with faith in the will of the Lord,to pray and talk to the Lord. I would rather look for answers through prayer to the Lord than to listen to man's teachings. Sometimes I listen to Michael at www.counciloftime.com. Check out the archives there and see if that interests you. In chat there you can ask questions, lots of nice people there. He also speaks live. He just retired from the military being high ranking, but is a humble man.

Appreciate the site you gave me Anna, looked at it for awhile yesterday and plan to look further. Anna, to the Almighty and the Messiah there is no age limit, I have read were Moses was about 80 when he was instructed to bring Israel out of Egypt. As you pray He will talk with you and guide you through the Holy Spirit. Continue to read the scriptures and you will be blessed as you are led to walk in His ways, not the ways of man. Your faith will continue to grow day after day, keep Him in your thoughts through the day and night. P.S. I've been around for a few years myself and still learning.
There is something I forgot - What matters is your strong faith and following His instructions.
