Our sister Leslie, "Jackswife", left to be with our Lord yesterday. She had neck surgery on the 11th and was doing well, so I don't know what happened as that's all that was posted on her facebook page. I was totally shocked when I heard about it as I'm sure you all are as well. While we'll all miss her terribly, we know that she is thrilled to be Home at last with our Lord and we can praise Him that He has rescued her from every evil attack and brought her safely to His heavenly Kingdom to be with Him forever. (2 Timothy 4:18) I'm sure she's enjoying being with her husband as well, and will have much to tell us and show us when we meet her there at the rapture. So that's something we can all look forward to! In the meantime though, we could say a prayer for the Lord to comfort all those who loved her and will be missing her - and I'm sure there's many as she touched many lives with the love of the Lord.

Cindy asked me to copy over the following information I had posted in the chat thread:
I looked back over the past couple of months on her [Jackswife's] FB page and will copy a couple of her status updates:
From 4/8/15: This past month has been a "doozie". The anniversary of my husband's death. The death of someone who shared the genetic defect I have and one of the serious symptoms. A dear friend diagnosed with cancer. Turning 60. The need for a scary medical procedure. Yes I have been discouraged. But I also cannot believe the number of ways God has shown up. An amazing rainbow the anniversary of Jack's death. The Sunday School lesson my week to co-teach was Jesus calms the storm. Meeting a lady with a daughter with my genetic defect and being able to encourage her. Two sermons where Brother Ricky Gray preached the exact message I needed to hear at the moment. I'm definitely in Good Hands.
From 4/23/15: Well.had follow up with neurosurgeon this morning. He was not rushed. He was helpful in answering my questions I had. He even showed my the lovely close up pictures of my spine from Monday. Good news. I do not need a bionic back. No surgery on the lower (lumbar) back was recommended or discussed. So while there are problems, they are not nearly as bad as could be. For the lower back I see the physical medicine dude. Dr M said something about him doing some injections? I see him Monday. On the neck (cervical spine) he DID recommend surgery. One area only at C5 requires attention. It is compressing a nerve and poses a risk if I am in an accident. It would be about an hour surgery, one night in hospital, up and around on limited basis immediately and full activity two weeks. Remove the disc, insert screws and a plate I think he said. So that's the rest of the story.....
And then last Tuesday Jackswife (Leslie) posted an update after she got home from the hospital the day after her surgery and sounded like she was doing pretty well, but I don't see any status after that so I don't know what happened. But everyone seems to be surprised, so maybe it was something sudden. She was part of a widow's group on FB and people from that group have posted the nicest comments about her. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
I am sad for our loss, but can never be sad that Leslie is healthy, whole, and with her Lord AND with her beloved Jack!

UPDATE ON SERVICES FOR LESLIE TULO:
I just spoke with her Pastor. A relative from out of state is due to arrive in Jackson sometime tomorrow. Pastor Ricky won't know anything until the relative has connected with the coroner and made the initial decision regarding any services. Pastor Ricky said they would probably have some type of memorial service for her locally but couldn't say when.
I will call back on Wednesday to see if any more information is available. Until then, that's what we know.

Does anyone know how old Leslie (Jackswife) was? Would age play a part in how surgery would go? I will miss her she seemed so genuine, honest, sweet and nice. However, I am sure she is thrilled to be with our Lord Jesus!!

I am so sorry to hear about Leslie. It seemed quite sudden and my concern would be blood clots. I know several people who had surgery and died suddenly from a blood clot. That is one of the things that can happen after surgery. I am thinking something like this is probably what happened to Leslie. Wish we could know for sure.

Like you I wish we could know for sure. I wonder if there is anyway to reduce the risk of blood clots?

Barbara , I need a shoulder replacement due to arthritis and won't have it done because of a fear of blood clots. I told the doctor and he said that as long as you are up and moving you should not get blood clots. He said I could take asprin. He told me knew and hip surgery is more of a chance for blood clots. Also forming reading about surgeries they can put you on blood thinner like Plavic for a while. I am just terrified of complications of surgery.

I am so sorry for her family.Did she have children?I remember when she first came, how devastated she was to be a widow but also how the Lord led her through it.Sometimes she would post in the bereavement forum, when things just got too rocky but I could tell the difference of her loss and the loss of a lost husband. She had no doubt they would be reunited soon and she kept at her life just as we do. When I read her face=book post of all the troubles,I wasn't surprised to hear the next line say how the Lord had shown up for her through everything that seemed to be attacking her at that point.I ,too, have always believed when times get that rough,Jesus somehow wraps us in His arms of Love. And Leslie was always quick to show God's Glory and not the devils meaness. I am shocked that she went so suddenly. But God is good, all the time.I am sure she is thrilled ,as we all will be when we get to go home, and I pray she didn't suffer any pain and I know she suffered no fear. What a difference it is to mourn a bro. or sis in the Lord! I am so happy she is whole again and out of this wicked world. Please keep us updated if you find out what happened to her,Love you all,Ruthanne
