Minister: Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg have blood on their hands
By Arutz Sheva Staff 7/2/2016
Israel's Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan has launched a scathing attack on social media giant Facebook, saying the company and its CEO Mark Zuckerberg have blood on their hands and bear some responsibility for Thursday's shocking murder of a 13-year-old Israeli girl.
Hallel-Yaffa Ariel was stabbed to death as she slept in her bed in Kiryat Arba by a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist, who had repeatedly incited violence and told of his desire to die killing Israelis on Facebook.
A video of his mother praising his actions and calling for more attacks circulated on Facebook soon after and, shockingly, still has not been taken down.
Speaking to Channel Two, Erdan said that "part of the blood of those murdered are on the hands of Facebook," lamenting Facebook's notoriously liberal approach to deleting anti-Israel incitement.

Facebook charged with aiding terror in billion dollar lawsuit
Arutz Sheva Staff, 11/07/16
The families of five Americans and Israeli-Americans killed or wounded by Arab terrorists in Israel have filed suit against the social media giant Facebook, claiming one billion dollars in damages over the website's failure to rein in on rampant pro-terror incitement.
The lawsuit, filed by the Shurat Hadin organization on behalf of the five families, contends that Facebook knowingly provided services to terrorists – including the Hamas organization – to spread anti-Israel incitement.
Citing the 1992 Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), which forbids all American corporations from providing any and all aid to terror groups or their leaders, the five families filed the suit Monday morning in a federal court in New York.
Shurat Hadin, a Tel Aviv-based law center, tracks anti-Israeli incitement and targets terror organizations and their backers in legal cases around the world.
The plaintiffs in the case claim the social media site is liable under the 1992 ATA for terror attacks carried out by the Hamas terror organization, which the suit notes has active accounts with Facebook and uses the website as a platform to spread its propaganda and incitement to violence.

Facebook takes down Hamas accounts
Rachel Kaplan, 15/08/16
Facebook reportedly closed the account of Hamas leader Ismail Radwan on Facebook, in addition Sami Abu Zuhri, Fawzi Barhoum and Salah Bardawil, in the midst of municipal Gazan election season. Hamas leaders frequently use their social media accounts to garner support for terrorism and incitement to terror.
Last week, Facebook closed the account of Islamic Jihad leader Khaled al-Batsh. Throughout July, Facebook closed the accounts of the Deputy Chairman of the Hamas Politburo Musa Abu Marzouk, Khaled Meshaal confidante Ezzat al-Rishq, and a number of Hamas student leaders.
Speaking to Palestinian news agency Ma'an, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassim claims that the closures are an act of Israeli internet terror, despite no known connection between Israel and Facebook's managers.

“Kill All Jews Now” is an Acceptable Message, Facebook Says
By B’nai Brith August 26, 2016
The global social media giant made its determination in response to a complaint filed by B’nai Brith Canada. It took Facebook two hours to conclude that the post was acceptable, according to the company’s standards.
The image, which was posted as a comment on the Facebook wall of University of Lethbridge Professor Anthony Hall, depicts a white man assaulting an Orthodox Jew, accompanied by a lengthy, violent antisemitic screed beside the photograph. It should be noted that Hall is well-known for using his academic credentials to deny the Holocaust and promote 9/11 conspiracy theories.
The image is accompanied by this message: “There never was a ‘Holocaust’, but there should have been and, rest assured, there WILL be, as you serpentine kikes richly deserve one.” The image text ends with the entreaty “KILL ALL JEWS NOW! EVERY LAST ONE!”
B’nai Brith is outraged by the post and by Facebook’s refusal to remove it.

Facebook officials visit Israel amid incitement claims
By Shoshanna Solomon September 11, 2016
Senior Facebook officials are in Israel to meet with government representatives and civil servants in an effort to jointly stem the online incitement that the Israeli government says leads to terror activities.
“The aim is to increase cooperation against incitement, incitement to terror and murder on social networks,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday, where he announced the Facebook delegation’s visit to Israel. “Terror groups use the internet to hurt humanity. We are determined to fight this phenomenon so I welcome this cooperation, or at least the willingness to cooperate, that Facebook is demonstrating which we hope will yield better results.”
The Facebook delegation is headed by two senior officials, Joel Kaplan, vice president of Global Public Policy and a former deputy chief of staff for policy at the White House, and Monika Bickert, Facebook’s head of product policy and counterterrorism, a person familiar with the matter said.

'Huge fines for social media sites that don't remove incitement'
Gary Willig, 09/02/17
Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) is working to promote the imposition of large fines for social media sites which refuse to remove content constituting incitement, Army radio reported Thursday.
"If you can avoid huge fines and legal proceedings, then that is preferable [to leaving the offensive content up and being slapped with fines]," Shaked explained. "In the last terror wave, we felt that Israel's sovereignty was being compromised. We know how to stop terrorists at the border, but we were not able to stop the incitement on social media, the engine driving the terror machine."

These could very well fall under the category of " Hate Crimes". Facebook needs to take anyone who makes a threat or even threatens Facebook, and ban them indefinitely. They have the power to do it but they are slow to remove anyone. Which is wrong. Just my opinion.

Disney Drops YouTube Star Over ‘Death to All Jews’ Episode
By JNI Media February 17, 2017
“The fear of Hashem is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” Proverbs 8:13
YouTube’s biggest star by far, Swedish national Felix Kjellberg, a.k.a. PewDiePie, who boasts 53 million subscribers, is out of his multimillion-dollar job. Kjellberg was dropped by Disney subsidiary Maker Studios following a Wall Street Journal revelation of his January 11 video showing a clip of two half-naked African men rolling out a sign saying “Death to all Jews.”
According to the WSJ, Kjellberg paid the two men to hold up the sign. The crude joke was almost par for course for the PewDiePie show, who gained his unprecedented online popularity by showing clips of himself playing video games and telling crude jokes. Kjellberg apparently enjoyed editorial independence according to his contract.
On Monday, a Maker Studios spokeswoman said in a statement that “although Felix has created a following by being provocative and irreverent, he clearly went too far in this case and the resulting videos are inappropriate.”

Demand that Twitter and Facebook remove anti-Semitic accounts
Mordechai Sones, 27/04/17
Founder of Lev HaOlam, Lawyer Nati Rom, contacted today the heads of Facebook and Twitter demanding that they remove accounts that publish incitement and anti-Semitic hatred against Israel.
The accounts are affiliated with the BDS movement against Israel, which calls for a boycott of products from Israel and Judea and Samaria.
“We in Lev HaOlam work against the BDS movement, which is rooted in anti-Semitism and against the financial terror facing Israel around the world,” began the letter.
“I am reaching out to you in the name of many businesses in Judea and Samaria, the Galilee, and the Golan Heights whom we support. On Facebook and Twitter there are many accounts belonging to the BDS Movement. These accounts have thousands of followers around the world who spread hatred and anti-Semitism. They call for discrimination against Jews and Jewish-owned businesses in Israel in general and in Judea and Samaria in particular,” explained Rom.
The letter warned the heads of the networks that some of the accounts “even openly support terrorists who carried out attacks that murdered Israelis and Jews.”

Twitter Welcomes Terrorists, Not Pro-Israel Activists
Daniel Greenfield March 5, 2018
Hamas, Hezbollah, the PFLP, FARC, the Communist Party of the Philippines and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam are all on the official list of terrorist organizations drawn up by the United States government. Providing support to them is a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
So of course they all have Twitter accounts.
As does Ramadan Shalah, the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which is also on the list of designated terror groups. The PFLP has at least four Twitter accounts. (Both the PFLP and Jibril’s Assadist splinter group are listed. And both have their own Twitter accounts.) FARC also has multiple Twitter accounts. Timochenko, the FARC’s narcoterrorist boss, who was accused by the State Department of “the murder of hundreds of people who violated or interfered with the FARC’s cocaine policies”, is also on Twitter.
None of them are subtle about it. “Official Account: Hamas Movement,” the Hamas profile states. Twitter has been repeatedly informed about their existence. It chooses to let the Islamic terrorists stay.
But Canary Mission, a Jewish activist group which exposes anti-Semitism, had its account suspended yet again, before being reinstated. Labour Antisemitism, which tracks bigotry by the UK’s lefty Labour Party, had its account locked for a profile picture of a Star of David worn by Jews under Nazi occupation.

Germany blasts Mark Zuckerberg on Holocaust denial
JTA, 20/07/18
Berlin issued a withering critique of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s recent announcement that he would not remove Holocaust denial posts from the widely used social platform, stating that such a policy was contrary to German law.
“There must be no place for anti-Semitism. This includes verbal and physical attacks on Jews as well as the denial of the Holocaust,” Justice Minister Katarina Barley said. “The latter is also punishable by us and will be strictly prosecuted.”
In a statement to Politico Europe, a Justice Ministry spokeswoman said that what the Jewish tech entrepreneur “wishes or demands for the American or international market is not possible in Germany,” where Nazi symbols and Holocaust denial have been prohibited for decades. Social media companies operating in Germany are required by law to remove content violating the ban.
Zuckerberg ignited a firestorm earlier this week when he told Recode, an American technology news website, that Facebook prioritizes allowing people to express themselves — even if they “get things wrong.”

Twitter Apologizes for Allowing ‘Kill All Jews’ to Become a Trending Topic
Charlie Nash
2 Nov 2018
Twitter apologized, Friday, after allowing “Kill All Jews” to becoming a top trending topic on the social network.
“Kill All Jews” became a top trending topic on Twitter, Thursday, after the phrase was graffitied by a vandal onto a Brooklyn synagogue.
BREAKING: The New York City Police Department releases a photo of the man they suspect of writing anti-Semitic statements in a Brooklyn synagogue
NYPD says the messages included “Die Jew Rats We Are Here,” “Jews Better Be Ready,” "Rose" and “Hitler”https://t.co/oEUQ3GYDXj pic.twitter.com/n6NJYQstfg
— Ryan Saavedra (@realsaavedra) November 2, 2018
“This phrase should not have appeared in trends, and we’re sorry for this mistake,” claimed a Twitter spokesman to the Wrap. “At times, we do prevent certain content from trending and we have now done so with this trend. This was trending as a result of coverage and horrified reactions to the vandalism against a synagogue in New York. Regardless, it should not have appeared as a trend.”
...
Twitter has faced repeated criticism for refusing to take action against anti-Semitism on its platform, most notably from Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan — despite the fact that Twitter frequently suspends popular conservative and libertarian accounts.

Facebook Hypocrisy on Islamist Terror Videos
By Meira Svirsky
March 4, 2019
Facebook decided that a film lauding Islamist terror doesn’t violate its “Community Standards.”
Clarion called out a film about a young Palestinian terrorist who murdered three people and wounded seven on an Israeli bus. The 25-minute film depicted the events leading up to the terror perpetrated by Baha Alyan, 22, and Bilal Ranem, 23, in 2015. They attacked passengers on the #78 bus in Jerusalem with a knife and gun, respectively. Alyan (whom the film is about) was killed in the attack and Ranem was injured.
The film also includes a fabricated scene where actors, dressed up as Jewish settlers, kidnap and graphically murder a Palestinian boy (a scout like Alyan was).
A week ago, Clarion asked our readers to write to Facebook to get this film banned. In response, Facebook wrote back saying that the film “doesn’t go against one of our specific Community Standards.”
...
Yet upon researching Facebook’s Community Standards, as detailed on its website, Clarion found the film indeed violates at least six of these standards, specifically...
