WATCH: Elbit’s IronVision Helmet for Tanks Sees Through Armor

Next week, at the international defense and security industry trade show Eurosatory, Elbit will unveil IronVision, the first Helmet Mounted Display (HMS) designed for the crews of armored vehicles. IronVision is a 360-degree panoramic situational awareness system, part of Elbit’s See-Through Armor (STA) architecture, that enables tank and infantry crewmen to “see-through” their vehicle’s armor in real-time, creating a clear and complete visualization of the battlefield, even when the hatches are down.
IronVision’s 360-degree, high-resolution imagery is projected in full color and zero latency to the wearer’s visor, offering a bright and vivid display of the surroundings in both day and night and all types of weather.

Israel’s New Stealth Jets Will Transform IAF Combat Strength

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) will be forever revolutionized in the coming months.
Global defense and advanced technologies manufacturer Lockheed Martin plans to unveil the first of the fifth-generation fighter jets in the F-35 Lightning II series, one of the world’s most advanced stealth fighter jets, on Wednesday. The Israeli defense establishment has said the new plane is a true game changer for the Jewish state as it will make Israel unique in all aerial capabilities against its enemies, The Jerusalem Post reported.
Newly appointed Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman as well as several top IAF officers will attend Lockheed Martin’s official ceremony during which the upgraded warplane will at last be revealed. The ceremony will take place at Lockheed Martin’s production facilities in Fort Worth, Texas.
Among the many features of the F-35 Lightning II are advanced sensors, guided weapons, and the ability to fuse data absorbed from various sources which will allow the pilot to focus on battle tactics rather than devoting time running the aircraft itself, explained The Jerusalem Post.
Israel will be the first non-US country to receive the new planes, divulged Keith O. Tucker, director of the Strategic Studies Group at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. The first two jets will make their Israeli debut this December.

There is always a down side to every techno advance, and it seems mankind is edging closer and closer to trans-humanism merging man and machine.
I just read where the Navy is considering chipping all their people, a very scary idea.
Of course they will pitch all its advantages, the ability to find any person taken hostage, monitor health, security reasons, etc etc.
But none of that, over rides the very danger to the human soul, in perhaps a shorter time than we think!

IDF and US Military Sync Missile Defense Systems for Joint Response in Wartime

The Israeli Missile Defense Organization and the US Missile Defense Agency have successfully completed a test which aims to “sync” the two militaries’ missile defense systems, enabling a cooperative response in future conflicts, Israeli media reported on Wednesday.
The trial was “another milestone in the missile defense program, which is a cooperation between the US and Israel,” said Israel’s Defense Ministry.
“The test demonstrated the United States’ commitment for the protection of Israel as well as the interoperability between the United States and Israeli integrated defense system architecture.”
The first-ever such trial tested the physical “connectivity” between the systems, assessing if Israel’s Arrow 2, Arrow 3, and David’s Sling anti-missile technologies could successfully lock into and cooperate with the American Aegis, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), and Patriot systems.
Israel’s Elbit Systems EW and Signet-Elisra led the “Integrated Ground Test”, which took place at various sites around the US, Israel and Europe over the course of five days. Participating were dozens of Israeli and American personnel, as well as units from the US army’s European Command.

Launching latest missile shield, Netanyahu warns Israel’s foes

A new Israeli system designed to intercept medium-range missiles became operational on Sunday after it was unveiled at a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US defense officials.
At the event at the IDF’s Hatzor base in central Israel, Netanyahu said that the “pioneering technology” of David’s Sling will help protect Israel against its enemies.
“I will reiterate, that whoever wants to strike us will be beaten, and those who threaten our existence are putting their own lives at risk,” he said, while adding that defending the home front is of the “utmost importance.”
Netanyau also hailed the David’s Sling anti-missile system as an “important milestone” in US-Israeli defense cooperation and thanked the US for its longstanding support of the Israeli military and joint missile defense projects.
