Obama: Iran agreement 'a substantial success'
By Ben Ariel, Canada 4/1/2016
President Barack Obama on Friday boasted of the nuclear deal that world powers reached with Iran last year.
Speaking at a nuclear summit in Washington and quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Obama highlighted the benefits the deal would bring to Iran’s economy.
“It will take time for Iran to integrate into the global economy, but Iran is already beginning to see the benefits of this deal,” he said, an apparent response to complaints from Tehran that the deal hadn’t delivered promised economic relief after years of international sanctions.
Obama called the agreement “a substantial success” and said that Iran has made “real progress” on living up to its obligations to scale back its nuclear program.
The comments come one day officials in Washington said that the Obama administration is considering easing financial restrictions that prohibit U.S. dollars from being used in transactions with Iran, sparking anger among Republicans as well as some Democrats.

Obama Warns of Nuclear Terror Attack
By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz April 2, 2016
“When thou goest forth to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, thou shalt not be afraid of them; for the LORD thy God is with thee, who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.” Deuteronomy 20:1 (The Israel Bible™)
At the Nuclear Security Summit on Friday in Washington, US President Barack Obama warned more than 50 world leaders gathered to discuss nuclear security that a nuclear terror attack is a very real possibility.
“The danger of a terrorist group obtaining and using a nuclear weapon is one of the greatest threats to global security,” he announced.
Obama warned that Al Qaeda was actively seeking nuclear weapons and the Islamic State (ISIS) had already used chemical weapons in Syria.
“There is no doubt that if these madmen ever got their hands on a nuclear bomb or nuclear material they most certainly would use it to kill as many innocent people as possible,” Obama said.
“And that’s why our work here remains so critical. The single most effective defense against nuclear terrorism is fully securing this material so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands in the first place,” the president told those gathered.
“It would be a humanitarian, political, economic and environmental catastrophe with global ramifications for decades. It would change our world. So we cannot be complacent. We have to build on our progress.”

Nuclear Drones From 'Dark Web' Cited by Obama in Scenario
03 Apr 2016
Terrorists flying drones to spread highly radioactive material over a civilian area: That’s part of the nightmare scenario President Barack Obama urged world leaders to consider as they debated better ways of controlling nuclear material.
With the aid of apocalyptic fake newscasts, Obama told the group of 50 heads of state and foreign ministers in Washington on Friday to imagine that a terrorist group had bought isotopes through brokers on the so-called dark Web. One shipment was picked up in transit by radiation monitors, but others were thought to be still on the move. The terrorists were believed to be planning to use a drone to distribute the material. Would authorities react in time?
This hypothetical war-game was described by a U.K. official speaking on condition of anonymity because the meeting was closed. Obama’s aim was to push the men and women around the table to think about how their governments would respond. Prime Minister David Cameron told reporters the threat was serious.

President Obama lets slip just how bad nuclear deal with Iran really is
Rebel Media Published on Apr 1, 2016
Ezra Levant discusses coming across a video clip today, posted by the White House, of Barack Obama boasting about how his nuclear deal with Iran is awesome except, the nuclear program isn’t dismantled? The deal is so bad, it makes you wonder what exactly Obama would do differently if he were trying to destroy America, not lead it.

President Obama’s Inane Iranian Policy
By Jay Sekulow
It’s been all too clear for far too long – President Obama’s foreign policy is a disaster.
But specifically, President Obama’s continued capitulation towards Iran, the world’s largest exporter of terror, makes the world a more dangerous place.
The United States recently seized 1,500 AK-47s, 200 RPG launchers, and 21 .50-caliber machine guns headed to Houthi rebels in Yemen. Where did these weapons come from? Iran.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Here’s more:
Eight days earlier, the French navy destroyer FS Provence seized a shipment of arms that included nearly 2,000 AK-47s, 64 Dragunov sniper rifles and nine anti-tank missiles.
The Royal Australian Navy’s HMAS Darwin intercepted a dhow on Feb. 27 carrying a similar cache of arms.
Numerous times over the last few months, Iran conducted ballistic missile tests, launching rockets capable of reaching Israel in direct violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions.
The UAE Ambassador to the U.S. says it all too well in a recent op-ed in The Wall Street Journal:
Sadly, behind all the talk of change, the Iran we have long known—hostile, expansionist, violent—is alive and well, and as dangerous as ever. . . . In December, Iran fired rockets dangerously close to a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Strait of Hormuz, just weeks before it detained a group of American sailors.
How does the Obama Administration react to Iran’s continued aggression and support of anti-Israel and anti-U.S. jihadists around the world? What is their response to Iran flouting numerous sanctions?
The Administration has begun preparations to ease even more sanctions and allow Iran limited access to U.S. dollars. And President Obama says truly inane comments about the “letter” of the nuclear agreement versus the “spirit” of the nuclear agreement.
“Iran so far has followed the letter of the agreement, but the spirit of the agreement involves Iran also sending signals to the world community and businesses that it is not going to be engaging in a range of provocative actions that are going to scare businesses off,” Obama said at a press conference.
“When they launch ballistic missiles with slogans calling for the destruction of Israel, that makes businesses nervous.”
Mr. President – it makes a lot more than just businesses nervous.

Top Iranian General: Iran Preparing for All-Out War With US
By Abra Forman April 6, 2016
Iran is preparing for an all-out war with the US, said Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari on Tuesday at a gathering of senior IRGC commanders in Tehran.
Jafari said that Iran’s long-term military plan has been shaped by anticipation of a future war with America in which Iran would be the “decisive victors”. “For years, we have been building power on the presumption of a widespread war with the US and its allies, and have developed all our capacities and capabilities for decisive victories over such enemies,” he said, Tasnim News reported.
In a statement unlikely to surprise anyone paying attention to Iran’s constant anti-Western rhetoric and threats and its blatant dismissal of international condemnations of its arms developments, Jafari emphasized that a combative solution is prioritized over the weaker tools of diplomacy.
“Before political and diplomatic options, we have gotten prepared for a military option,” he said.
The announcement will surely come as a surprise to US President Barack Obama, who has often insisted that diplomacy is the only way to move forward in relation to Iran.

Report: US army building secret missile-proof base in Israel
By David Rosenberg 4/7/2016
Iran’s recent ballistic missiles tests, which have led to concern and consternation in Israel, apparently have the United States military worried as well.
In late February the US military took part in a five day joint military exercise with Israel code named “Juniper Cobra”.
The central focus of the exercise was coordinating responses to a potential ballistic missile attack.
Since then, however, security officials have revealed that the US military has serious concerns about the possibility of missile attacks by Iran, Hezbollah, or Hamas, and is taking additional precautions to protect American assets in Israel.
Speaking to Walla News, these officials said the US is constructing a secret army base in central Israel.
The new base, which is being built in response to the Iranian missile threat, is reportedly designed to withstand ballistic missile attacks.

Kerry asks Iran to stop its regional wars
By Arutz Sheva Staff 4/7/2016
US Secretary of State John Kerry urged Iran on Thursday to help end wars in Yemen and Syria, where Tehran and its Gulf Arab rivals are backing opposing sides.
Kerry called on Iran to "help us end the war in Yemen...help us end the war in Syria, not intensify, and help us to be able to change the dynamics of this region," he told a news conference in Bahrain ahead of a meeting with his Gulf counterparts.
Iran has been supporting the Shi'ite Houthi rebels in Yemen, who launched an uprising to overthrow the government. In Syria, their Lebanese proxy terror group Hezbollah has been fighting to prop up Bashar al-Assad's regime, and Iranian troops have long been active in the fighting as well.
The secretary of state said Tehran should "prove to the world that it wants to be a constructive member of the international community and contribute to peace and stability."
Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed al-Khalifa, whose government accuses Iran of stoking persistent protests among the kingdom's Shi'ite majority for an end to Sunni minority rule, echoed the call.
"Yes, we do want to see Iran change its foreign policy," he said, speaking alongside Kerry.

The Mullahs’ Plan To Hit Israel
Defiant Iran gets more awards from Obama.
Dr. Majid Rafizadeh April 7, 2016
The Islamist state of Iran’s blatant aggression and provocative attitudes have reached an unprecedented level.
After the nuclear deal, and Obama’s appeasement policies towards Iran, the ruling Islamists of the country have become very public and vocal about their ideological objectives.
Most recently, the Fars News Agency, the Islamic Republic’s state-controlled news outlet, quoted Iranian Deputy Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Maassoud Jazzayeri, warning the United States to stay away from Iran’s redlines―one of which is Iran’s ballistic missiles.
In addition, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh was also quoted by the ISNA agency as stating, "The reason we designed our missiles with a range of 2000 km is to be able to hit our enemy the Zionist regime from a safe distance." Iran has increased its short–and medium–range ballistic missiles, and currently boasts the largest ballistic missile stockpile in the Middle East.
But what will Obama’s response to these threats be? Most likely there would be more bowing to the ruling clerics of Iran and giving them more carrots. Iranian theocrats have learned that intransigence works with Obama.

Iranian official blasts 'foolish' Kerry
By Ben Ariel 4/10/2016
Iran's defense minister on Saturday blasted Secretary of State John Kerry's for what he called his “foolish” accusations that Tehran is "destabilizing" the Middle East, AFP reports.
If the United States seeks "stability" it should "leave the region and stop supporting terrorists," Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said, quoted by the website of state television.
"If John Kerry thought about these subjects, he would no longer utter nonsense and foolish words," added the Iranian minister.
The comments came after Kerry, speaking on a visit to Bahrain on Thursday, condemned "the destabilizing actions of Iran," noting that the United States was taking Tehran's actions "very seriously".

EU businesses 'held hostage' by US over business with Iran
By Tova Dvorin 4/22/2016
Fear of US repercussions has been keeping many European business from making deals with Iran, the New York Times reported Thursday - both due to continued US sanctions on the Islamic Republic and restrictions flagging visitors to the US who have been to Iran.
EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini flew to Tehran last week to reassure Iranian officials that the bloc is doing everything possible to boost trade between the two entities.
Yet EU banks still must follow US guidelines for financial disclosure - requiring them to report any accounts held by US citizens - and while there are several thousand dual Iranian-American citizens, Iranian banks are unlikely to follow the directive.
Violators of the requirement could see banks' assets seized, a risk many EU banks are reluctant to take.
"Europe is being taken hostage by American policy," Marietje Schaake, vice President for the EU's Delegation of Relations with the United States, stated to the newspaper. "We negotiated the nuclear deal together, but now the US is obstructing its execution."

US Missile Defense Site Opens in Romania, Russia Sees Threat
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESSMAY 12, 2016
DEVESELU, Romania — A U.S missile defense site in Romania aimed at protecting Europe from ballistic missile threats became operational Thursday, drawing an angry reaction from Russia, which opposes having the advanced military system in its former area of influence.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg tried to reassure Russia as he spoke at a ceremony attended by U.S., NATO and Romanian officials at the Soviet-built base, located in remote village 180 kilometers (110 miles) southwest of Bucharest. Romania became a NATO member in 2004.
The NATO missile defense site "in no way undermines or weakens Russia's strategic nuclear deterrent. This site in Romania, as well as the one in Poland, are not directed against Russia," Stoltenberg said at the opening ceremony. "The interceptors are too few, and located too far south or too close to Russia, to be able to intercept Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles."
Stoltenberg said the interceptors were designed "instead to tackle the potential threat posed by short and medium- range attacks from outside the Euro-Atlantic area."
U.S. officials say the Romanian missile shield, which cost $800 million, is intended to fend off missile threats from Iran and is not aimed at Russia.

White House: Iran's actions in the Gulf a cause for concern
Elad Benari 26/08/16
Actions by Iranian vessels in several encounters with U.S. warships in the Gulf this week are cause for concern and increase risks of miscalculation, the White House said on Friday, according to Reuters.
On Thursday, it was revealed that a U.S. Navy coastal patrol ship fired three warning shots at an Iranian ship that sailed within 200 yards in the Northern Persian Gulf.
That incident was one of four close calls this week involving U.S. and Iranian vessels.
The intentions of the Iranian vessels in the incidents is not clear, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said in a news briefing, but the behavior is unacceptable and "in a compressed space like the Strait of Hormuz it increases the risk associated with possible miscalculations."
This week’s incidents are not the first time that Americans and Iranians have clashed in the Persian Gulf.

Khamenei: Our enemies will face a harsh response if they attack
Elad Benari, 29/08/16
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Sunday warned his country’s “enemies” that they will face Iran's harsh response if they dare to launch a military attack against the country.
"The enemy should understand that if it makes any aggression, it will be hit hard and our defense will also include response," Khamenei said in a meeting with military commanders in Tehran on Sunday, according to the Fars news agency.
"We should increase the Armed Forces' preparedness to the extent that the enemy doesn’t even allow itself to think about aggression," he added.
