Hezbollah vows to invade Israel in the next war
By Ari Yashar 3/4/2016
Hezbollah sources cited in a unique speak peak into the Lebanese Iran-proxy terror group claim that they have gained powerful weapons and experience from the Syrian civil war, which will allow them to invade Israel in their third war against the Jewish state.
The Foreign Policy article Thursday, entitled "Hezbollah's Death Valley," spoke about Hezbollah's involvement in Syria, where it is fighting to prop up Bashar al-Assad's regime on Iran's orders. It has lost many of its terrorists there, but sources in the group told the paper the fighting has only helped them.
“In the next war, Hezbollah won’t stay on the borders, and the Israeli settlements in the north will not be protected from this," a source close to the terror group based in southern Lebanon told the paper, claiming Hezbollah now for the first time can infiltrate Israel in open war.
"Hezbollah will bring the war to them, and Israel’s biggest concern is over Hezbollah’s experience in Syria, as it now has the experience to be offensive rather than just defensive.”
That message was repeated by the sources in the article, with another saying, "the resistance won’t stay in Lebanon; it will reach the Galilee. It will not look like the 2006 war at all.”
The claims by Hezbollah sources come even as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Wednesday declared the group a terrorist organization, citing Hezbollah's activity in the Gulf states recruiting terrorists and smuggling weapons - a point that was not raised in the article.
Iran and Hezbollah both responded to the declaration with fury, apparently upset at how the move may impact the group. GCC's declaration came a week after Saudi Arabia halted a $3 billion program funding equipment for Lebanese security forces over the danger posed by Hezbollah.

Report: Hezbollah Prepares for ‘Biggest War Ever’ with Israel
by Breitbart Jerusalem
Ynetnews reports on Hezbollah:
Hezbollah believes it can bring any future war into Israeli territory, according to a report published Thursday in Foreign Affairs that cites “sources close to the party”.
“It will not look like the 2006 war at all,” a source told Lebanese journalist Nour Samaha. Another said that “Israel’s biggest concern is over Hezbollah’s experience in Syria, as it now has the experience to be offensive rather than just defensive.”

Intelligence Report: Israel’s strategic position has improved
By YOSSI MELMAN \03/05/2016
...The most important part of the new report is the assessment that the probability of war this year is low. Senior military sources tell The Jerusalem Report that this applies on all fronts from Gaza in the south to Lebanon and Syria in the north. Neither Hezbollah nor Hamas have plans or any interest to initiate a war against Israel.
Hezbollah is bleeding in the killing fields of Syria. Five years since the outbreak of the civil war there, Hezbollah has become ever more deeply embroiled in the conflict and has a permanent contingent of as many as 7,000 troops, nearly half its conscripts, fighting alongside Iran and, most recently, the Russian Air Force, to defend the regime of Bashar Assad.
The Lebanese Shi’ite organization also has 15,000 reservists who are called to duty for training or field missions for up to 40 days a year – similar to the IDF reserve system. So far, Hezbollah has lost nearly 1,500 soldiers, killed in action – many of whom belonged to its elite units – and more than 6,000 have been wounded. Hezbollah’s losses are a heavy blow to its military capabilities and have dented its morale to go to war with Israel.
FURTHERMORE, HEZBOLLAH is suffering from a serious economic crisis.

Hezbollah Threatens to Invade Israel, Destroy Jewish State
August 21, 2016 | Israel Today Staff
A top Hezbollah leader this month said that the Lebanese terrorist militia is now capable of not only firing missiles at Israel, but can also launch a ground invasion of the Jewish state.
“Israel is closer than ever before to its demise,” Lebanese cleric Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, said in an interview with Mayadeen TV.

Iran has 25,000 Shiite fighters in Syria – ex-Shin Bet chief
By Times of Israel staff November 3, 2016
Iran commands a force of up to 25,000 Shiite Muslim militants fighting in the Syrian civil war, a majority of them from Afghanistan and Pakistan, according to former Shin Bet chief Avi Dichter, who now chairs the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
In a briefing with a delegation from the Swiss parliament, Dichter, a Likud MK, also echoed warnings issued previously by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials who have said that Iran has not abandoned its aspirations to develop nuclear weapons and was playing a long game with the West, despite the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal with western powers.
Iran, he added, “has not abandoned the idea [of pursuing] nuclear weapons. It only put it on hold so it can recover [from sanctions] and rehabilitate its international image.”
Tehran and six world powers signed the accord last summer aimed at reining in Iran’s controversial atomic program in exchange for lifting punishing international sanctions. A number of regional Sunni states opposed the agreement, as has Israel, warning that Iran was simply playing for time.
“Up until a year and a half ago, Iran was the reason for regional instability. It’s amazing and sad to see how among Western states, it is now perceived as a stabilizing force,” Dichter said.

Hezbollah turns 200 towns in Lebanon into launching pads
Ben Ariel, 07/12/16
The IDF has published a map on its Twitter page revealing that Hezbollah has taken over more than 200 towns and villages in southern Lebanon since the 2006 Second Lebanon War, Channel 2 News reported Tuesday.
Some of the houses, in which innocent citizens of Lebanon reside, have become rocket launching sites, headquarters and warehouses for rockets. The targets displayed on the map will be the ones attacked by the IDF should a new war be launched on the northern front.
The map includes nearly 10,000 potential IDF targets about which Israel has collected intelligence in recent years, and is presented to all the foreign diplomats who visit Israel, according to Channel 2 News. It was recently presented by Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon as well.

Eizenkot: Hezbollah Remains Israel’s Top Priority
By Tazpit Press Service June 8, 2017
“Proclaim ye this among the nations prepare war; stir up the mighty men; let all the men of war draw near let them come up.” Joel 4:9
“The Northern front and Hezbollah remain the IDF’s highest priority,” IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot said Wednesday at an event marking 11 years to the Second Lebanon War.
Eizenkot said the Lebanese Shi’ite group has significantly strengthened its capabilities in the time that had passed since the war, but added that the group now finds itself in a difficult situation due to its involvement in the Syrian civil war and elsewhere in the Middle East.
“Hezbollah finds itself in a very complex strategic reality,” Eizenkot said. “Around a third of its force is fighting in Syria, Iraq and Yemen and it has lost around 1,700 men with and around 7,000 of its fighters have been injured.”
Eizenkot also noted that Hezbollah was suffering from severe financial difficulties as a result of its foreign adventures, the moral of its fighters is low and it has lost two of its commanders in the past eight years – Imad Mugniyah, who according to foreign sources was killed in a joint Mossad-CIA operation, and Mustafa Badreddine, whom Eizenkot has said in the past was killed by his own officers.
